Amazing food. We tried for the first time and will definitely order again. Takeout is fast and packaged well. We got mofongu (made to order– and pretty large), churrasco, tostones, sweet plantains, and rice and beans side. Generous portions for sure. Churrasco could have been a little more tender, but I did like that it came slathered in peppers and onions. Really terrific food, though. Everything had a home-cooked taste and layers of flavor.

Los Primos Mexican Grill – Menu with Prices – 1464 Mt Pleasant Rd, Chesapeake

My first visit, I ordered the steak primo and an appetizer of camorones con queso. Appetizer had a wonderfully cheesy flavor. Steak was cooked as requested and had a tasty sauce with grilled shrimp, peppers, mushrooms, and onions on it. Portions were too generous to finish. I will definitely enjoy eating these leftovers.

Riverdale indian cuisine – Menu with Prices – 308 W 231st St, The Bronx

We ordered 3 lunch specials. Chicken biryani , chicken tandoori and chicken tikka massala. Both chicken platters were well seasoned. The chicken tandoori was the show plate. Sizzling hot plate 2 portions of chicken on a bed of onions and sweet green peppers; for sure wort ordering. The tandori chicken was moust and very succult and the bed of onions and peppers was a nice touch. 2nd best was the chicken tikka massala, the sauce was creamy. Nice seasoning not overpowering but you can still taste cumin, coriander and the garan masala. So while the sauce was on point, your lunch portion will be about 4 to 5 ounce container with lots of sauce and just 4 pieces of chicken. No way you call that a lunch. I get it, making indian food is expensive due to the high cost of the spices. However, they could charge a bit more and give you more chicken. This portion was ridiculously small, plus i was still hungry in the end. If anything this portion should be for an appetizer instead of a main course meal. The disappointment came about when we saw the chicken biryani. No raisins or any kind of fruit at all. Usually the chicken is cooked in the rice but this one the rice was made separate and the chicken was poured on top, the rice lacked flavor and depth. I felt like i should have just order white rice with a side of curry chicken. I do like the fact that you can bring your own wine and they do have nice glassware for the wine and water service; that is a plus for sure. Personally, i can appreciate that. The place was clean, decor was not intrusive and best of all the smell of the kitchen stayed in the kitchen. Sometimes you go have indian food and you cone out smelling like curry..lol The naan was tasty and made to order but could have benefited from a brushing of butter. However it was tasty, soft and we had a good portion order for the table of 3 ppl. They do have home made mango chutney $4 extra and well worth it.

Star of India Menu with Prices 3102 S Parker Rd A10, Aurora

We have been to a number of Indian restaurants throughout Denver. A notable one at Anschutz medical campus is Chai and Chai. However, after several takeout episodes Star of India, we have formally voted this into our number one spot for Indian food in Denver. The rice portions are generous and delicious, the pakora and papadam is great, the flavors are consistent and delicious. Some of our favorites: chicken tikka masala, aloo gobi, and just about all the vegetarian dishes. In fact we have not been disappointed with ANY dish we have ordered and indeed enjoy the food for days after. Have you noticed that Indian takeout improves with refrigeration and re-heating the next day? Weird but true for us. Hey, don’t let the shopping mall location put you off. This place is terrific.

Aloha Wagon – Menu with Prices – 1247 S Western Ave, Chicago

Tucked in the corner and from the decor doesn’t look a whole lot, but the food packs a lot of flavor! Some street parking outside and Very limited bar seating seats inside, but the chef prepares the food fast. Come hungry too because the portions are generous! We got the loco moco and the mixed meat platter with the pork and Katsu. Our favorite was the Katsu – super crispy on the outside and juicy/tender inside. The loco moco comes with 2 or 3 hamburger patties and my pro tip here is to mix the gravy with the Katsu sauce for extra flavor! All meals are served with the macaroni salad (really tasty!), white rice, and a side salad. Would recommend giving this place a try!

Spice Spirit – Menu with Prices – 900 Bergen Ave, Jersey City

FINALLY!!! There’s actually authentic Chinese food in Journal Square. This is really shocking as we know there aren’t much restaurant options in this part of the city. My husband and I did takeout and pick-up for two days. I can say that both experiences were positive. For Takeout: My husband and I ordered braised beef noodle soup and shredded chicken with chilli pepper noodle soup. Both noodle soups were flavorful. The takeout portions are good and they do not skimp out on the meats. There is a delivery fee for $2.50 if you decide to take out. That is already charged to the receipt. After such a positive experience with take out, we couldn’t resist and ordered again the next night. We did pickup. For Pick-up: We ordered a vegetable side, eggplant with garlic sauce and Kung pao style chicken that’s stirred fried with peanuts, bell peppers and chilli peppers. Both dishes were delicious. They were really bold in flavors. We couldn’t stopped raving how tasty the dishes were, especially for takeout. The portions were big and we had leftovers. For $22.00 with tax included, it sure was worth the money. We both are looking forward to going into the restaurant to dine in. After such a positive experience with takeout and pickup, we look forward to trying out more of their dishes in the restaurant. Again, this was a great addition to JSQ since there aren’t much options to choose from for take-out.

Teddy Maroon’s – Menu with Prices – 2301 Ingersoll Ave, Des Moines

My favorite dining companion decided we wanted some takeout from somewhere new. We were looking for some comfort food. She mentioned Teddy Maroon’s as an option. Neither of us had ever been there, but we had heard good things from friends and other Yelpers. My dining companion decided on the coconut shrimp with a side of garlic mashed potatoes. I was a bit hungrier, and opted for the Pot Roast dinner. Our food was ready in about 20 minutes as promised. The staff in the restaurant were friendly and extremely attentive. While waiting for the server to return with my receipt, the bartender and another server both made sure I had been attended to, which was appreciated. Now, onto the food! The Pot Roast Dinner consisted of a generous helping of pot roast, a large serving of garlic mashed potatoes, carrots, onions, and brussel sprouts. There were lots of veggies and they were nicely cooked. They still had lots of crunch, and they tasted great. The sprouts especially were excellent. The pot roast was well cooked, and pull apart tender as is to be expected of a proper roast. The Coconut Shrimp were nicely breaded, delicious, and very crunchy. The appetizer order was large at 8 pieces, so we definitely were impressed with the portion. They were also very large shrimp. The sauce was fairly standard, but that’s to expected with Coconut Shrimp. She added some Sriracha to spice it up. Large portions seem to be the trend across the board, but they don’t skimp on quality. You get really high quality ingredients, and lots of them. We were very impressed with Teddy Maroon’s. We will definitely add it to our list of takeout spots, and hopefully we’ll have a chance to try dining in, as well. I highly recommend them for good solid comfort food. You get great portions for the price, and the food is excellent.

Tortilleria Santana – Menu with Prices – 1801 Lyle Ave, Waco

We were already regular customers of their homemade tamales. Today we bought two of their pork asado verde plates available for takeout. The food was nothing less than superior. So flavorful. The asado verde came with rice and refried beans and tortillas. In case you want it spicier, there is green salsa on the side. Without the added salsa, it is not too spicy, but full of flavor and tender with the milder tomatillo sauce in which it is cooked. Both the rice and beans were perfect!!

Anjuels Rincon Latino – Menu with Prices – 12411 White Bluff Rd, Savannah

Drove down from Guyton to drop the dog off and wanted something good to eat outside the spectrum of fast food. Pulled up the map on Yelp and found Anjuels just four minutes away. The pictures posted were enough to get me there. Menu is different every day. Friday was stew chicken and goat, so I got a takeout order or each, with a nice helping of yellow rice with shrimp, beans, and fried plantains. The drive home was torture as the aromas slowly escaped the bag at each bump in the road. Turned out the wife wasn’t hungry, so I got to eat my share of both. Chicken and goat were both equally delicious. What really brought it home was the rice and beans. Each separately were really good, but together they were packed with flavor. The fried plantains were perfectly cooked. I’d go back just for the rice and beans.

Asian Express Cafe – Menu with Prices – IU Health, Entrance #3, 10300 N Illinois St, Indianapolis

The food at this place is quite good and authentically Asian. Although I was surprised it was located in a medical facility, it felt more like a cafe inside the building than being a cafeteria for the building. I have gone here a couple times already and I had great experiences every time. Food: 1. Chicken Lo Mein: It was very good with the chicken being very tender. It had a very good flavour and was enough to fill you up contentedly. 2. Chicken Fried Rice: Like the Chicken Lo Mein, the chicken was cooked to be very tender and actually had a taste similar to the lo mein, but in rice form instead. I enjoyed this equally to the lo mein. 3. Pork Spring Rolls: It was definitely larger in size than I expected (1 inch in diameter; 6 inches long; 2x rolls in one order). Taking a bite into a roll, I felt that the inside was a bit bland with less pork that I personally prefer, but it came with a very refreshing taste. The saving grace to the lack of flavour was the rich and delicious peanut butter based dipping sauce that comes with the order. Overall: The food is pretty solid. They also get the food out to you fast enough. The only downside seems to be the lack of seating in the establishment, but I personally only go there for takeout so it isn’t an issue for me.

Corporate Deli Menu with Prices 600 108th Ave NE Suite 10, Bellevue

I got the Spicy Chicken Teriyaki to go for lunch today. It was actually quite nice. The chicken is moist and tender with a crisp sear on the outside and is packed with flavor. It’s one of the few places where the “spicy” was actually spicy(I’m Indian and I love my spice). The portions are huge with generous amounts of chicken and a massive mound of rice. I wish the rice was seasoned because the thick spicy sauce doesn’t mix in quite evenly. I added some soy sauce to the rice just for seasoning. It also comes with a simple side salad and you can pick between ranch and Italian dressing. Over all a super quick value for money meal. Nothing fancy, just plain solid grub.

Fusion Diner and Cakery – Menu with Prices – 3600 Court St, Syracuse

The good – Servers were attentive and courteous, prices fair. The bad – The menu selection is mundane, much the same as a dozen other diners. Certainly not the variety or quality offered by the Good Life Diner that previously occuppied this space. My wife’s sandwich featured somewhat stale bread, slathered with a dressing that she had requested to be on the side. Oh well, mistakes happen. She refused to have the oversight corrected as she is not prone to complaining. However, she did not enjoy her lunch and took half home to try to repair it later. As for my order, I would caution anyone to ask lots of questions. It is my own fault I assumed a sausage sandwich with peppers and onions would be similar to the classic found at the State Fair or countless other restaurants. My sandwich featured sliced sausage, peps and onions in a red sauce, covered in cheese. I wish the sauce and cheese had been mentioned in the menu description. I don ‘t care for red sauce and didn’t want cheese, but chose to not complain since, at this point, we just wanted to leave, and had no time to request a new order or debate why this item was not as expected. I believe a menu should be accurate. Tell me what I’m getting. How is one to know which questions to ask? I took half home, although I’m not sure what to do with it. All in all, we will not be going back to Fusion.
