If you haven’t been this is a must try!!!! Some to the best breakfast and service in Bakersfield. I sent my foodie Pete Titl here when I got when of another breakfast spot. I ordered the chili verde scramble which was absolutely awesome and perfectly cooked. Huge portion of tender fall apart chili verde and perfectly seasoned. We pretty much always sit at the counter so we can watch the action. It doesn’t take long to figure out who Maggie is as she conducts the cooks like awesome concert. She is very attentive to detail of what comes out of the kitchen as well as she wait staff. They are only open for breakfast and lunch and a great friend said their burgers are the bomb.com!!!! One of these days we’ll get their for lunch!!!! Awesome job and awesome write up in the Eye Street!!!!

MJ’s Cafe Irvine – Menu with Prices – 2600 Michelson Dr, Irvine

Food is good. It’s a breakfast lunch place for those that work in the same building or nearby buildings. So, parking is paid if you don’t work in the building. The service is great. Maggie and the other girls always has a great smile and are always so helpful. For the food, I always get their tomato bisque when I’m not that hungry but need something to get me through to dinner. Good and creamy. They serve the bisque and chili daily. They have other soups that they rotate during the week. For sandwiches, I get the albacore melt. Nice and comforting. I’ve had their other sandwiches as well, but that is my go to. As for breakfast, I get the Denver omelette or the MJs breakfast. Both are good and filling. You may not be able to work after. They also have smoothies, kombucha on tap, and coffee (lattes, mochas, etc.) Great place to eat.

Hacienda Corralejo Mexican Kitchen – Menu with Prices – 1238 Cleveland St, Clearwater

WOW, what a great first impression this new addition to the Mexican food scene has made here in Clearwater! This restaurant is located in the same spot that, at one time, previously housed a Greek restaurant then a Thai one. It’s located on the north side of Cleveland St. on the east side of Missouri Ave. in Clearwater. The interior is open and upscaled. The music wasn’t too loud. On some Sundays, we were told, they have a roaming Mariachi Band. We were quickly greeted and seated. Within a minute or two, we had some hot tortilla chips with two sauces: picante and an addictive spicy creamy one. For entrées, we wanted to try a variety of dishes so we opted for the Create Your Own Platter option. You have the choice of 2 or 3 items. We ordered the Chili Relleno with cheese, the Enchiladas Verde with chicken, a Chicken Tamale and an Enchilada Oaxaca with chicken. The Create Your Own platters come with rice and refried beans. The standout dishes were both the Enchiladas Verde and Oaxaca along with the Chili Relleno. The Oaxaca is a mole poblano sauce that is both spicy and complex. Both sauces were delicious. We would order both of these again. The Chili Relleno was perfectly prepared and the cheese was very tasty. The portions were huge! The rice was fluffy and flavorful. The refried beans were some of the best I’ve ever had…ever! For dessert, we decided to order the Flan. It was a little undercooked but tasted great! It was a good sized portion for two. I would order it again. On this occasion, we opted not to order any adult beverages but if you want some awesome looking Margaritas, Piña Coladas, Sangria or any other exotic concoctions, this is the place for you. ALL of the other table had some great looking beverages! There’s a Piña Colada that comes in a pineapple that a few tables were enjoying that I’m definitely going to get on our next visit. Despite the restaurant only being recently opened, the staff definitely has their act together. The entire restaurant staff is from Daytona Beach and I’m so glad that they decided to relocate here. The wait staff was friendly and great in helping us tackle their vast menu of food and drinks choices. Somewhat surprisingly for a restaurant only for a few weeks, it was packed by the time we left at 7PM. The prices are commensurate with the amount and quality of food you get. There’s plenty of parking in the back of the building. EVERYONE, you need to go out and try this restaurant.

Community Table Kitchen – Menu with Prices – 5345 Arapahoe Ave Unit 5, Boulder

I visited Community Table Kitchen for the second time today. It’s staffed by Bridge House trainees who are learning culinary skills in preparation for transitioning into mainstream kitchen positions. So, in addition to getting a delicious breakfast or lunch you can feel good about helping folks move forward in their lives. The Community Table dining area has a very comfortable feel to it. It’s spacious, well lit, and the walls are tiled with gleaming white tiles. Dominating the space is a very large table that can seat at least twenty, hence the name. Sitting at a table with others gives you the opportunity to meet and talk with other diners, including workers who eat their lunch just before closing at 1:00. On both my visits I had great conversations with Amy, Debbie, and others. Everyone working there is friendly and fun to talk with. The food is beyond wonderful. I’ve had a couple of different curries and the spring roll appetizer. Everything was spiced perfectly, and delicious. The portions are more than enough to fill almost any stomach. And get this – the prices are unbelievably cheap! Breakfast is $6, and lunch $8.00! The Community Table staff cooks and delivers food to a number of restaurants and grocery stores in town. The restaurant doesn’t seem to have been discovered yet, based on the handful of customers on my two visits. This is a restaurant that everyone should learn about. It is truly fantastic!

Whiskey Tango – Menu with Prices – 1111 E Republic Rd #180, Springfield

What a different concept. Small menu but that doesn’t matter because whatever you get it’s delicious. Fried olives-exceptional. Sliders-amazing. The atmosphere is something I have never seen before. Super comfortable but also alluring. We were there twice in one day. Dinner and drinks before a concert and then came back for drinks after the concert. Our waiter was Drew and he was awesome. Attentive but not over bearing. He had great suggestions for what we should eat and drink and he made sure we were taken care of. Great young man who truly cares about his job. The bartender was also excellent. His drinks were delicious. Overall we were super impressed. I highly recommend Whiskey Tango

Johnny O’s Cafe – Menu with Prices – 8890 8th St, Rancho Cucamonga

Came here for the first time and was so excited because I am not normally available during the first few hours of the day. This us a breakfast brunch place so it is only open for a limited time. Parking is limited so plan on parking on the gravel on the side street. Also, the place is small and cozy. This place gets busy but unfortunately has no waiting area inside or outside. On this day it was over 100 degrees outside and we had 2 people ahead of us. We waited outside by the parked cars without any shade to he called in. We got called in and quickly looked over at others’ plates. All of the dishes looked great and had large portions. The wait staff was very friendly and attentive. Hubby was excited to try the chili cheese omelette but when we ordered we were I formed they were out of chili. Booo. Anyhoots we got the short stack pancakes, meat scramble and corned beef hash. All were flavorful and delicious. Their homemade salsas were also mmm mmm good.

River Ridge Cafe Menu with Prices 9040 Roswell Rd # 160, Atlanta

Time & Date of visit: Weekdays usually Location/Ambiance: The cafe is located within a hidden office building on the main level, Pass the elevators on the left and adjacent to the atrium. that is open to the public regardless if you work in the building. The top parking deck is open for visitors. You can seat at the square tables within the cafe it self, outside on the balcony area with a few tables outside, or in the atrium area and make the security guard hungry with the fresh smells of food. Service: One of the sweetest cooks and I believe her mother runs the kitchen, cash register, and cafe it self. I believe they are Taiwanese but I’m not that keen on which dialect I over heard that they were speaking. She cooks most of the items and entrees to order. The cafe closes before the usual offices do, though the times vary. Food/Beverages: There’s usually always a daily lunch special listed on a board just past the elevators. The special comes with an entree, build your own salad from the salad bar, and a drink for $5.99. I had mainly stopped by for breakfast, as she uses real eggs and cheese for my “usual” of sausage, egg, and cheese biscuit / croissant. For $2 it blows any version you can get at fast food drive through. Real ingredients for an awesome value. Total Bill w/ Tip & Tax: Just about everything is under $8. Summary: Home cooked style food at a great value. Not to mention friendly, warmhearted customer service.

The Riot Room – Menu with Prices – 4048 Broadway St, Kansas City

I came here to see an alternative indie band and the doors were supposed to open at 7pm. They didn’t open until 7:15 and everyone waiting was cold outside. I did will call and it was no problem getting in. The venue was a lot smaller than I had anticipated. I ordered a drink for me and my friend. My beer tasted flat and really off. They definitely need to get their lines checked. I asked for a different beer and the bartender had an attitude. I even offered to pay the difference. When I went to use the restroom, the guys bathroom door was wide open and continued to stay open after people closed it. The ladies restroom is right across the guys so yeah. A staff member also entered the ladies room without knocking, and the women in the restroom were very unhappy with good reason. The concert didn’t start till what felt like forever. Once it did, the concert and the rest of the night went well. It felt more like an intimate concert because the space is small. I would probably not come back here and pay more for a band in hopes they find a better venue.

The Farmhouse Restaurant – Menu with Prices – 228 N Gilbert Rd, Gilbert

I ask myself, what makes a breakfast stand out? Its all in their hot fresh crispy country or hash potatoes, oh, and of course the rest. This place has been one of our long time favorite for breakfast and they never disappoint. This quaint breakfast/lunch spot in Gilbert has kept its mark in the rapidly growing downtown revival. Seating is limited and usually has a small wait during prime time. Even though the wait is outside, there are benches and misters and cold water provided in the summer months. Their menu has a selection of 24 omelets and hearty breakfast or lunch options that you might expect at a ‘farmhouse’ bnb. Everything from the thick crispy bacon to their homemade chili are absolutely what you would expect. All breakfast are served with a toasted whole wheat french bread unless a choice specified. Their brewed coffee comes from their neighboring Bergie’s Coffee Roast which we love. Service always friendly and atmosphere suited to its name. If you like breakfast, give it a try.

Puerto Vallarta Mexican Restaurant Wichita Ks – Menu with Prices – 602 N Tyler Rd, Wichita

Five Stars! My girlfriend and I gave this place a try today for lunch. We had Chili Verde and Chicken Fajitas. We went through the drive thru and the young lady took our order right away. It took about 8 minutes to get our food, which is good because it we could tell they spent extra time to make our order from scratch. When we got home, I opened my food and was pleased to find they had separated everything evenly and even garnished it. It looked like expensive food from a fancy restaurant downtown. The Chili Verde was phenomenal, very tender and flavorful pork with authentic Salsa Verde and rice. My girlfriend loved her chicken fajitas and had enough for lunch tomorrow. The quality of the meat was very high, and cooked evenly. Nothing was dry or over cooked. Even the tortillas were wrapped in foil and seemed to be made fresh not store bought, I was really impressed with that. Overall, the service was friendly and fast and the food was absolutely excellent. There are not enough restaurants like this on the west side. I know I’ll go back here 100%. 6 stars for polite customer service at the drive through window. This goes a long way. Taking a little extra time to be nice and make sure the presentation was clean and tidy really impressed us. We were thinking maybe just some quick average food on the west side and we were very pleasantly surprised with the high quality of the meal. To be honest it was way better than going to a up scale casual dining restaurant in terms of the quality of the food. We already decided we’re going to go back and try something else on the menu on the way home from work next week. I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone who doesn’t want trash fast food or doesn’t want to wait 30-40 minutes and pay extra $ for a casual dining restaurant. It’s a great place to get carry out or drive through and be extremely pleased when you open up the box. Overall, very impressed. If I could give 1 recommendation on the west side of Wichita at the moment this would be the place. We honestly had never heard of it before today. Give it a try!

City Line Diner – Menu with Prices – 1420 Main St, Worcester

Solid diner. Great addition to Worcester and this side of the city. Owners are two best friends one of which used to be an EMT. They put a lot of effort into revamping this once friendlys location. The menu isn’t anything that’s crazy different or going to blow you out of the water. You’ll find your diner mainstays like Irish breakfast, bennies, club sandwiches and bowls of chili And like everything in between ! Reason I come here versus another diner would be solely for the chicken and waffles- it’s perfect! Giant chicken breast fried up crispy tastes like the best combo for the nicely executed waffle and accompanied by the maple syrup and butter for the best everrrrr breakfast experience (or lunch ) i also can speak highly of the French toast, really nice and well stuffed omelettes and the coffee isn’t fantastic but it’s not just flavored hot water either. Gotta hold out for 11 am sometime and get in there for lunch. Buffalo chicken Sammich is a great choice as well as the club sandwich BUT The burgers are actually so damn good I wish they were open past 2 pm – is really be getting them all the time. The best ever (basic) burger honestly outside of my own kitchen. The staff alone is worth the visit. They are always quick and absolutely a delight.

Bouffe Dave Plant Food РMenu with Prices Р1206 Boul de Maisonneuve E, Montr̩al

Dave Plant is an awesome addition to the interesting things popping up in the NoVill (North Village) area. There is a revitalization happening north of Saint-Catherine that is reflective of the changes the Village is about to go though and it’s exciting to see Dave Plant be a leader in this transition. The shop features great coffee, amazing pastries, and delicious breakfast and lunch items such as whole-grain salads, sandwiches, soups. Everything is prepared with local and seasonal ingredients, which is refreshing compared to some of the other older establishments in the area. I had a coffee and a chocolate chip cookie on my first visit. There is an attention to detail invested their pastries that make them desirable even at a quick glance. The chocolate chip cookie, while a classic, was unique on its own with chili peppers offering an extra kick that matched perfectly with my coffee. The location is just a block up from Beaudry Metro and across from Le Red Tiger. The interior is adorable with picnic style tables, a sitting nook, and two outside benches. The details of the decor have been considered and they don’t go unnoticed. I could see this being a great place for a quick lunch break, a casual business meeting, or even a place to hang out and work while you sip your coffee and have a bite. The staff is very prompt and friendly. A must visit. Recommendation: It’s great to see a focus on third wave coffee, but I’d love to be able to pair the amazing pastries with espresso-based drinks.

The Fort Harrison – Menu with Prices – 210 S Ft Harrison Ave, Clearwater

I just ATTEMPTED to make a reservation here, as we are seeing a concert at Capitol Theatre and this is definitely the closest hotel. I must say the reviews are misleading and if you click on the ‘website’ for this supposed hotel, it goes straight to a massive Scientology Website. There is no way to book a room online, so I called the ph#. The girl who answered was gracious and polite yet explained that this hotel is most definitely a ‘religious retreat’ and not open to the general public. She did not use the words “not open to general public” and I had to keep asking questions to figure this place out. Finally I explained we are going to a concert at the Capitol Theatre and just wanting a nearby room — then she clearly and politely said again that this hotel is a Religious Retreat and therefore the hotel rooms are “only for the parishioners” — so I guess we’ll go back to the Residence Inn which we stayed at before. It’s a 1/2 mile walk into downtown Clearwater… we walked it before… it’s just fine.
