I searched “best cookie” on yelp and this place had good reviews and a fun name. I knew exactly where it was located because I’ve driven by it all the time but always thought “What a strange location for a bakery…it can’t be that good”. I was wrong and so glad I was. I bought the PB Hero and triple chocolate brownie and had vanilla latte made. It was one girl up front at one pm on a weekday, so even though there were only three people (including myself) in the place, she was busy. One person walked in and left after waiting barely 2 minutes, they’re missing out! You must know it’s not a Starbucks. The coffee was good but wasn’t the best part, the treats are why this place is great. The PB hero is a delicious cookie sandwich, absolutely loved it. And the brownie is super decadent, one whole one would certainly fill you up for awhile. I love hometown bakeries and this is one of the good ones. They had chocolates and coffee cake and a few cupcakes when I went in. No cookies just on their own, but had 4 different kinds of cookie sandwiches. The inside is Alice in Wonderland themed (obviously!) and they’ve done a really great job with a small space. I can’t wait for an event where I can order a bunch of custom cupcakes or something, it looks like they do a great job!

Donna Marie’s Gluten Free Bakery – Menu with Prices – 1694 Penfield Rd, Rochester

Came in here for the usual, a chocolate chip cookie, but chose to get an almond butter cookie and a brownie with walnuts. The almond cookie and the brownie were absolutely awesome. I highly recommend you try the brownie, who doesn’t like a good brownie?! I’ve heard other great things about their cupcakes which I will save for another visit. Onwards to the cookie. The cookie was smaller than I hoped but what it lacked it size, it made up for in substance. Because the cookie was small, they used smaller morsels, which there were plenty of; so the cookie definitely had a nice chocolatey taste to it. The aroma was tough to pinpoint since the cookie was slightly chilled, which usually masks some of the smell. It took about four bites and cookie was all gone. I would give the cookie 4 stars, could have been a bit bigger but hey, you cant have everything. Overall though, I would give Donna’s 5 stars due to the quality of her treats. The almond cookie and the brownie was an awesome compliment to the cookie, as I’m sure everything behind the glass is!

Mrs. Fields – Menu with Prices – 1700 W New Haven Ave, Melbourne

When it comes to sweet delicacies and decadent bakery treats, there are certain franchises that seem to guarantee satisfaction. When it comes to chocolate-covered treats, it is Grimaldi. Vegan bakery treats, Erin McKenna. Candy, definitely Mars or Hershey’s. However, there is one franchise that stands out when it comes to cookies and brownies and that is Mrs. Fields. For starters, it should be noted that Mrs. Fields, the one I went to, is located inside of Melbourne Square Mall. It is one of the mid-aisle stores (kiosks) right near the main south entrance (the one that is right next to the food court). Upon approach, I was marveled my the number of cookie cakes, cookies, brownies, and other delectable desserts they had. I seriously wanted to try at least one of each so I aimed for one brownie and one cookie each. However, Mrs. Fields may have special deals happening and fortunately for me, the deal was buy two, get one free. Ergo, I got three brownies and three cookies at the price of two brownies and two cookies. Not bad at all for something delectably delicious. I need to state that I did not get any regular cookie but the cookie cups, similar to peanut butter cups but only cookies. They were thick, sweet, and sinfully decadent. I would actually buy a dozen later on just so I could share it with family. Other features of the Mrs. Fields in Melbourne Square Mall include fruit drinks and icees and other desserts. I am not a big icee type of dude so I cannot say anything about them, but the fruit drinks and coffees they served at the time were decent too. Ultimately though, you go to Mrs. Fields for the desserts. I would really push the cookie cups because they combine the best of two dessert worlds: cookies and dessert cups. Also, the food court is not that far from Mrs. Fields so if you need to take a seat at a table, you can.

Cakes ‘n Things – Menu with Prices – 1 Sunny Dr, Harrisburg

Let me start out by saying, I love cupcakes. I’ve been to almost every bakery in and around central PA. I also make it a point to visit any bakeries that are near any of my vacation destinations throughout the US. Heather’s Cupcakes has the best cupcakes I have EVER eaten. I decided to stop there today because I noticed their storefront while I was driving to work one day. I looked them up online and it turns out they just opened in August. My fiancé and I shared the vanilla, double chocolate, snickers, and chocolate PB cupcake. Usually when I try a new cupcake/dessert place, I always have one favorite – but all of the cupcakes we tried today were so good, I can’t pick one that was better than the other. They were all fantastic. If you love cupcakes, I highly recommend this place!

Benefit Your Life Gluten Free Bakery & Cafe – Menu with Prices – 10420 Kingston Pike suite g, Knoxville

First and foremost, I want to make mention that the address is not correct. It appears they may have moved since this was published. They are now located off of Kingston Pike. To say this place is amazing is an understatement. I traveled from Bowling Green, KY to North Carolina and made a pit stop here both ways! It’s THAT good! They have SO many options for dairy free, too! I ended up getting some delicious paleo baked goodies, too! I called ahead and placed an order for pick up. I ended up getting a cinnamon sugar doughnut, glazed doughnut, paleo samoa cookies, paleo brownie, paleo chocolate chip cookie sandwich, paleo thin mint cookie, paleo double chocolate chip cookie, pineapple upside down cake, paleo coffee cake, and so much more!! It’s all been amazing! The doughnuts were SO unbelievably delicious! I should have gotten more! . . The only complaint I had was the paleo brownie…it was inedible (it tasted like something was missing and the texture was off), but considering that everything else was amazing I think it was just a fluke! This bakery is definitely a MUST stop for everyone! They even have a little store!

Paleo Mama Bakery – Menu with Prices – 409 S Few St, Madison

Paleo mama products are so yummy that I willingly a drive 25 minutes away just for these treats! I think my favorite are the chocolate cupcakes but it’s hard to choose, because everything that I’ve tried has been amazing! The magic bars are crazy good! The cheesecakes and cookie dough are dreamy! It’s hard to believe there’s no refined sugars or flours in anything so delicious. I wish I lived closer so I could try one of their cakes but next time I’m in Wisconsin I know I’ll go out of my way to stop by the shop with more products….and I’ll probably stock up because some items are available frozen. You don’t even have to be paleo to fall in love these treats!

Magpies Cakes – Menu with Prices – 846 N Central St, Knoxville

I’m a little late with this review but the cupcakes are great and deserve their props. My boyfriend is a pie man and I’m a cake girl so he stopped by Magpies and got me some cupcakes like a sweetheart one weekend. He got Chocolate Caramel, Chocolate Fudge, Red Velvet, Chocolate Mocha, Just About Decadent, Carmel Macchiato, Lemon Raspberry and Strawberry Cream. He got a dozen which can run from $22-32 depending on what you choose. They have a menu on their website with prices. I think it’s pricy but I am self-admittedly frugal so you might think differently. I have to say that the cupcakes were absolutely amazing, though. I am a chocolate person so I just knew that any of the chocolate ones would be my favorites. My fave was the Red Velvet! It was incredible. The icing was perfect and just made it that much better. The Chocolate Mocha surprised me because I am not a coffee person but it was very good as well as the Carmel Macchiato. Now, don’t get me wrong…the Chocolate Fudge, Chocolate Caramel and Just About Decadent cupcakes were fantastic…but the Red Velvet won me over in a shocking and surprising kind of way. Overall, they were amazing and if you have a special occasion then definitely splurge and go to Magpies. Actually, if you just need to make your day brighter, stop in for a single cupcake. It’s definitely worth it and “all butter all the time” is the way to go. Also, guys (and girls), if you want to make your significant other happy or if you’re in the doghouse…get them a treat from Magpies! Trust me, they will love you a little extra.

Nin Nin’s Farmhouse Bakery – Menu with Prices – 2015 Post Rd, Melbourne

This adorable little bakery is tucked off post rd west of US1. There is a variety of fresh baked treats. Cookies, dessert bars, donuts, bagels, cupcakes, cakes by the slice and more! It is so hard to choose! So far we’ve tried the chocolate dipped macaroon, cupcake and butter-creme filled cookie sandwich. All very delicious!! If you follow them on Facebook or Instagram they post their menu for the next day. They change it up almost everyday. It’s nice to see a mom n pop bakery in the neighborhood now. Very friendly service and a cute farmhouse atmosphere inside. They serve coffee too. Not much room to sit and eat but fun to drop in and pick up some goodies to treat yourself and the fam. Nin nin, you have my heart and my stomach.

The Cookie Cottage – Menu with Prices – 335 Gillespie Ave, Sarasota

If your looking for a place to get delicious cookies or creamy and flavorful cupcakes the cookie cottage. The cookie cottage is located at 335 Gillespie Ave in the historic an downtown village one block west of washington, right off fruitville. You will regret not going there for there savory cupcakes (all are $2.50) expecialy the chocolate chocolate , if your a chocolate person if not they have way more to offer. The owner Cathy is the sweetest woman you will meet and she will meet your every cupcake or cookie needs if your last minute and need to drop in and grad a dozen or two thats fine she can handle. She doesn’t just sell cookies she host birthday partys, it does not even have to be a birthday party you can just want to bring your children in and decorate cookies and cupcakes or their very own apron which I think is very cool and the children would love it. The prices are not too expensive its all worth it in the end when your kids walk out of there or you and your friend with giant frosting covered smiles on your face and a full stomach filled with mouth watering sugar. The cookies($0.50) are the best part they are not to hard and crunchy and are nice solft and warm makes you want to just take them all and gobble them all up, my favorite cupcake there is the chocolate chip cookie of course even though there are so much more you will have to go there and find your perfect cookie.

Milk Sugar Love – Menu with Prices – 394 Palisade Ave, Jersey City

Pretty awesome. I love that they have a shop that isn’t in JC, except this one isn’t necessarily convenient (to Hoboken), either… Good news is, it’s cute, it’s got 3 tables inside that could seat 2-3 each. It’s a brand new store so it’s in beautiful shape, and it has rotational flavors that the other store doesn’t have (e.g. alfajores and cream, and brown sugar oatmeal). Both were delicious! This location also sells: coffee, bars (think brownie, red velvet and treasure bars-they make these), cupcakes and macaroons (I don’t think the cupcakes are make in house and the girl working confirmed that the macaroons weren’t made by M&S). As well as pints of their ice cream, mini ice cream cakes and giant ice cream sandwiches(think of one a cake size to be used in the same way a cake would), The only thing I disliked aside from being a bit inconvenient is that the portions are pretty small for the price. And aside from that, it’s a bummer that you can’t get some flavors at this location (like key lime or cookies and cream) that you can at the other location. A must try if you have some time to make your way up to the heights/union city area and are looking for a quality sweet treats. Ps-parking can be a little hard, so just be mindful, and they don’t take cards unless the spend meets a $10 minimum

Five Points Artisan Bakeshop – Menu with Prices – 6520 Wilkins Ave, Pittsburgh

I love bakeries. Have for years…ever since I was a little guy walking into the local shop near where I was raised, with that lovely smell and the yummy cupcakes… So, I like to go to bakeries to try their wares, and after a nice health walk through Scheneley Park I googled “bakeries near me” and this spot came up. Thank you, Google! It’s small, cozy…without much space for sitting. Go anyway. These folks are serious about what they do. I bought a variety of items to try, and the first one I ate once home was amazing – a poppyseed Danish. It’s the best thing I’ve had in I don’t know how long. My finicky boy loved the cookies I picked – tahini, snickerdoodle and chocolate chip. The pecan cup, the scones…oh my! Artisans, indeed! These are gourmet level specialties…these are the tastes that remind me why trying little out of the way spots is something we all should do. Seriously…try this shop! Wow!

Oh My Cupcakes! – Menu with Prices – 5015 S Western Ave Suite 290, Sioux Falls

What a beautiful store! I recently popped in to their Bridges location to grab a dozen of their delicious cupcakes for a date night in. Normally when I get a cupcake craving, I just pop over to the mall and visit their location there as it’s right by my work. This was my first visit to the main store since they were located downtown. The new store is just as beautiful as the old one….. very bright and open, beautifully decorated and welcoming. The lady that boxed up my treats was very sweet and offered recommendations on other cupcakes I might like as well. The cupcakes were boxed beautifully for my trip home as well. Their cupcakes are my favorites for a reason. They’re moist, flavorful and absolutely delicious! I’ve never had a bad one! My boyfriend had never had your cupcakes before and now he always asks when I’m going to go grab more! Keep up the awesome work! We’ll definitely be back!

Tala Bakery – Menu with Prices – 2507 E Bell Rd, Phoenix

We just got cupcakes from there and this was my first time in… the cupcakes were absolutely delicious and they had a ton of selections; reasonable prices too. My only complaint is they arenâ??t the friendliest… on my way I smiled and said hi to a baker coming to his car and he grumbled at me and walked past and on the inside the person that wrang is up wasnâ??t very friendly. I inquired about the King Cake and she was very brief didnâ??t want to talk and was to interested in the tv… I would have purchased the king cake and even thought about getting a birthday cake since my sons birthday is Tuesday but I just feel like I was an inconvenience. Will go back for cupcakes, probably not as often and will try some other bakeries around. A smile and hello really go a llooonnnggg way.
