I noticed a few complaints, I’m not sure what they are complaining about; this new spot is fabulous for cheap, quick Asian buffet. Staff was friendly, and really kept on top of our table. Restaurant was very clean, I didn’t see any reason to worry. This is THE most important thing for me at a buffet… do you dare eat there? In this case, the answer is definitely YES! The hot food was hot and the cold food was cold. Some of their dishes were REALLY good. I could taste that they used the ingredients they were suppose to in the dish. Nowadays, many will skip important ingredients that make the dish taste the way it’s supposed to taste; which is why a lot of buffets are terrible and bland. They do this to keep down expense, because the missing ingredients are not cheap anymore… frankly they use to be cheap even at the grocery market. Buffet’s figure most of us are dumb and don’t know the difference; but some of do notice. Anyway, great work guys! Don’t let this place fall down the tubes, and use good ingredients, cuz we will definitely be back! I have to add to my original review. This place is the bomb! Went on a Friday night, they had a seasoned spicy potroast that is one of the best I’ve ever had! It was to die for! A curry chicken that could compete w/ most Indian restaurants. Their crawfish actually had flavor! Didn’t have one bad thing, and it was all very good. I have to say that maybe it’s not the biggest in town; but certainly THE BEST I’ve had anywhere since chinese buffets became popular in the 90’s and the staff is on top of their game; met the owner tonight she is very nice! Excellent job! Edit: I have to change my review from all the stars to no stars. Noticed the owner trying to make even more improvements by implementing pretty serving trays, but unfortunately they don’t work. There is no depth to them, it dries out the food, and it’s difficult to serve. Unfortunately after many WONDERFUL trips here, we literally got sick after eating here recently. The food did not taste good either, and the crab had been sitting there for hours or overcooked, was absolute mush. Hopefully it was a bad night; but it makes me nervous to try them again.

Valentino’s – Menu with Prices – 2701 S 70th St, Lincoln

We arrived at the restaurant about 2:30 on a Sunday and were told that on Sunday’s they serve breakfast buffet and dinner buffet but no lunch buffet. We were also told that the breakfast buffet had ended so we paid $31 for two dinner buffets. All we really got was the leftover food from breakfast/lunch. The pizza was cold. The pastas were cold. The gravy had a crust on it. The hot desserts were all almost gone and not very warm. Even the cinnamon twists were cold and hard. I would not recommend going to this restaurant on a Sunday afternoon. We may go back and try it sometime for dinner…but maybe not!

Indian Restaurant – Menu with Prices – 2001 Diners Ct, San Bernardino

Rating: 5+ / 5 Overall: This is my favorite restaurant in the entire area! I’ve eaten here upwards of 3+ times in one week and it’s fantastic every time. Food: The food is great! They always have six vegetarian options (I’m a vegetarian so can only speak for the flavor of these) and 6 meat dishes. The paneer or veggie korma is fantastic along with the garlic tofu. I’ve been told their meat dishes are also great. They rotate the food options every day so one dish many not be there on a specific day but something similar will be in its place. The food isn’t as “hot” spicy as some other Indian food places but there is tons of flavor in all of the food! Price: On the weekends it gets a little pricey for the buffet at about ~$15, but mango lassi and champagne are included. Normal lunch buffets are cheaper ~$12 with dinner buffets being about ~$14. For a buffet, it’s reasonable. Service: The staff is fantastic and very friendly. Great customer service. Kenny (the owner) also comes around and socializes for a minute if the place isn’t to busy if you visit as many times as I have. Verdict: It can be a bit pricey at times, but it’s totally worth it!! It’s an unlimited buffet with many great options! I would recommend it to anyone who needs food to live and if you’re like me, you’ll find yourself there multiple times per week.

Faialense Sport Club – Menu with Prices – 1121 Cambridge St, Cambridge

Good food and good crowd. Seafood is fresh. And the atmosphere was amazing. We got to know and got talking to the people who were sitting right next to us. They even shared with us their homemade desserts. It was such a fun atmosphere. It felt really nice to be welcomed and be part of a community. It was definitely a different experience. The food was also fresh and the drinks were good too. The only thing is when we come back, we have to go early so that by the time our food arrives, we arent so hungry and almost past our hunger. But this is not their fault. They arent restaurant style/type. We knew this but we had to try it. We should have gone there right when they open. What I noticed is that the people cooking are great at what they do but they dont treat the ticket orders as how restaurants do. We notice that maybe due to the small kitchen, they fire up one dish at a time. So we noticed all of the fish steak dish coming out for the entire dining room, then comes next the shrimp dish etc. Then the steak…so the food for our table didnt come out all at the same time and we all didnt eat at the same time. But thats okay, we decided to share it as family style instead so we can all eat and have something. Next time, we know what to expect. The best thing about this place is that you have that table for the entire night! No one is rushing you to leave! Quite a concept for american diners isn’t it? We’ll be back!

Bai Mai Thai – Menu with Prices – 1541 E Lafayette St, Detroit

The owner noted that the ingredients are purchased fresh. I believe this. But I can also taste old chicken in an instant, and my dish contained left over chicken that had been cooked at least one day previously. I know this for a fact, because I have always been sensitive to distinguishing old versus newly prepared meat, possibly bc I eat meat less frequently than most. It tasted so old, that I threw the dish out after three bites. I was starving, but couldn’t bear the taste of the old meat. The owner noted they are unaware of anyone getting sick from their food. I know I am not the only one to have this issue, perhaps just the first to write a review. I have spoken to four other people who have gotten sick from the food at this establishment. Two were in my party the night that I got sick. It is dangerous to serve prepared food for more than one day. If I had health issues, this experienced could have seriously injured me. Please throw out food at the end of the night and start over the next day.

Saffron Indian Kitchen – Menu with Prices – 8868 Minnie Brown Rd, Montgomery

So I’ve had the buffet here twice and it’s been pretty good each time. Only being disappointed by one or two items. But after tonight I’d say skip the buffet all together and just order off the menu. Of course Indian food is often expensive because of all the work put into the sauces. But it’s worth it. There are items on the menu that are totally worth trying but I may never see them on the buffet because of the work involved making them or maybe they just want to put out the more popular type dishes “Americans” like. First: Malai Kofta – this is a vegetarian dish of veggie dumplings in a creamy cashew sauce. It’s so good!! My sister and I liked it even over the meat dishes. It’s rich and creamy but without feeling heavy. Second: Paneer Makhani – this dish has been on the buffet before, but of course it taste much better fresh. The tomato sauce is creamy and smooth. Third: Gobi Manchurian- this is a fried cauliflower dish that’s spicy. If ordering in house it will probably keep it’s crunch. But I ordered out so the steam from it being packed up took a bit of that away. But it was still amazing! They have some Indo-Chinese dishes and this tasted like one of them. Almost like a GeneralTso’s chicken but with cauliflower instead. Very good and just the right level of spiciness. I’m definitely going to go back and order off the menu again. Definitely worth the price and I’d like to see if the dishes that I was disappointed by on the buffet are better off menu.

Star of India – Menu with Prices – 4025 E Chandler Blvd, Phoenix

This review is just based on their lunch buffet – This is another place I would give a 3.5 stars if I could!! but Yelp hates nuance or something, so confident that this will not damage them too much given a very solid 4 star average overall, I’ll designate it as a 3. The restaurant is good! The food is good, the service is good, it’s clean and it smells great, and I liked that the buffet – uniquely among similar buffets hereabouts – had solid porcelain plates with little sections, like a northern thali. The buffet had two rices (basmati with just like, cumin, and then pulao), several chicken dishes, spinach, a mixed veg curry, chana masala (which I haven’t seen at a lot of Indian buffets around here?), shahi paneer, and samosas, as well as two deserts (kheer and gulab jamun). Naan (plain or garlic) is brought to the table. The spice level is pretty low overall – not bland food remotely, just mild. The food overall was really good, especially the naan, which was nice and flavorful and crisp. The samosas were a bit crunchy? Like the outside dough wasn’t as softly fried as I’m used to, but the inside was still delicious, and the inside of the restaurant – which is a bit smaller than I expected from the outside – is nice. This one is a bit out of my way, but if I lived closer, I would probably make it a staple of my restaurant going, and I would not warn anyone away.

Scooter’s Coffee – Menu with Prices – 5 Old 63 S, Columbia

I usually go to Starbucks on Broadway which I hate becausr ya know so i made a point to go to scooters. I asked for a medium mocha, the drive thru girl asked if i wanted that hot or cold. In my head i remember thinking why do they even ask that when it’s -15 °F and told her hot. When i got to the window they handed me a cold mocha, which looked great but not what i asked for. Usually I would live with the mistake cause i HATE making service industry people do more work that necessary (im a waitress) but i decided I would be unhappy if i didnt voice the error because just to clarify, I really wanted a hot mocha. I say it in the nicest, shyest, we all make mistakes sorta way as to make sure she didnt get upset or annoyed. The drive thru window girl then proceeded to disagree with me I said cold, almost argue…which was just awkward and i tried to give the mocha back that i hadnt even pulled through my window and she refused which i understand for health code but i wasn’t trying to get a cold mocha so it makes sense I would try to give it back. Scooters then does remake the hot mocha, but they had the manager give it to me and nobody said youre welcome when i said thank you or sorry, just “yup”. Pretty rude and i wouldn’t go back because the Starbucks on Broadway weirdly goes out of their way to be extra friendly and accomodating. And the prices are the same but they arent rude, EVER and i consider this starbucks super superior to any ive been to. Scooters made their own coffee taste bad to me, bad enough to leave this review. And with Starbucks right their, a giant competitor, I would have thought harder about how to treat customers in that manner. Won’t be going back! Hope they dont make you feel like human trash for telling them of their own mistakes in the nicest way possible!

Executive Royal Hotel Calgary – Menu with Prices – 2828 23 St NE, Calgary

This is a bit of a mixed review, as I’ve tried the many different versions of Graze’s buffet. There’s the weekday breakfast, the weekday lunch, the dinner buffet and the Sunday brunch. So I’m going to give 4 different ratings and reviews for each: Weekday Breakfast: 2.5 of 5 As restaurant buffets go, it’s about average. Quite small in terms of selection, with a few cereals, eggs omelet station or scrambled eggs, sausage, bacon, toast, hashbrowns, and fruit. It’s good enough for the day, though it’s nothing extraordinary either. If you’re there as a business person or a quick stayover, it’s more than enough for a decent hearty breakfast. Service is a little slow, but then, I don’t imagine it’s a busy place also. After coffee and taxes, it’s about $20 for breakfast, which is about the norm for a resto buffet. Weekday Lunch 3 of 5 Again, as lunch buffets go, it’s not particularly huge. A pasta dish, vegetable dish, some breads, potatoes and whatever else is in rotation at the time. But what separates this from the other times is the carvery station of Roast Beef (not prime rib, more like Eye of Rib or Round) which is surprisingly well made despite the quality of cut. When my uncle went for his 4th helping (hey, so he was hungry), the slices kinda got thinner and thinner so I assume they don’t make too many of the roasts at lunch time. Price is pretty reasonable at $20 a person more or less if you want to really enjoy a heavy lunch. Dinner Buffet 3.5 of 5 Much like the lunch buffet, the selection is small, but this time the carvery station is comprised of Prime Rib. I really love this cut as many others do, so it’s worth it for the occasional protein injection of fatty marbled meat. There was also a chicken stew at the time I was there, and there’s a ok selection of desserts as well. Why I’m not going 4 or 5 star? Well, this is still a situation of quality over quantity. The Prime Rib was good, but still a but tougher than say something from Vintage steakhouse, so I suspect they used a 2 star cut as opposed to the 4 and 5 star cuts. Also, it wasn’t particularly well seasoned. Sunday Brunch 4 of 5 It’s in Sunday Brunch where the Graze excels. It’s probably the single largest hotel sunday brunch in the city, with tables all over the lobby floor filled with pastas, breads, carvery station with 2 to 3 meats, omelet stations, salads, soups, cheeses, cold seafood and more. I’m honestly kinda amazed by the raw selection they offered. While the food quality itself is more 3 star than 4, the selection and the appeal to all palates make it a 4 to me. So much so, that I’ve been banned from future visits by family as they’re worried I just might go banshee and have that one mint too much (a la Monty Python). Now under ALL circumstances, I can’t give it a 4 star review out right, as each one has their major flaw or atmosphere, but it’s still worth a huge nosh if you don’t mind sacrificing your diet.

Curry Bliss – Indian Vegetarian Restaurant & Banquet – Menu with Prices – 101 S Coit Rd #359, Richardson

We went for the afternoon lunch buffet on a Saturday. (The weekend price @ 12.99). I heard the price is cheaper for weekdays. For the price, i would say some more was expected. However, there were several good dishes on the menu that overall i would give it 4 stars on 5 stars. Notable is their pumpkin curry. Dishes that need improvement are the sambhar which looks very similar to their rasam. (The rasam was good). And there was a dish called shahi paneer. It was not good when we had it. It was either few days old or the paneer and curry did not blend well and something was wrong with the curry. We ended up wasting everything we poured for shahi panned on our plates. The buffet also includes fresh naan and Dosa which was good with the chutney on the buffet stand. There was idly but they were not fresh so we did not try them out. There was also curd rice which was good (It was not sour and the taste was good. But it needed nuts and raisin). There was good vada on the menu which i liked. I am not rating this restaurant too negatively because overall, it was a hearty meal we had. Much better than the Madras Pavillion (where i had my graduation lunch. A horrible mistake). They have redone it very nice. Bit advice to the owner. Try to improve on the dishes mentioned in this review, maybe Americans cannot find the difference between hot idly and cold idly. But indians in the dallas area as far as i know are not forgiving. Overall kudos for changing madras pavillion, that one had to go. (I used to notice a ton of cockroaches back then, i noticed only one near the billing counter on my visit !!! Not sure how you’d get rid of german cockroaches but you have done a good job)

Punjab Sweet House & Restaurant – Menu with Prices – 88 Mandalay Dr, Winnipeg

gdsfdagfdjhfgzomg, so good I barely have words. This place has no ambience at all but who cares, the food is amazing! And cheap! Amazing and cheap, that’s pretty much my favourite combination when it comes to eating out. Their buffet is on the small side – rice, salad, five savoury dishes and one dessert, plus chapati, which is included in the buffet price ($7.99), but they bring to the table for you. Everything was delicious. Super flavourful, mildly spicy and full of ghee. When I was there they had saag (maybe palak paneer?), chana masala, a lentil dish, a potato dish and another dish that I think was paneer with vegetables in a sweet and sour sauce. Mmmm all so good. They also have a really large selection of sweets, none of which I can identify, but all of which I’ve tried are delicious. If this place wasn’t half way across town I’d eat there every week. My mouth is watering just thinking about the food.

Rheas Hot Links – Menu with Prices – 201-229 South Oakland Avenue, 204 S Fannin Ave, Tyler

Well today, I went to hot link place for my husband to take to his job. Normally the ladies are great always. But, we have noticed the last 3 visits havnt been that plesant from just (1) employee. But, we will still speak but her attitude us nonchalant. Anyway, today she came to window, didnt speak, and I ordered. Then came back gave me price and I gave her my card. Told her the chip doesn’t work as I handed to her. She looked at me, and still took it. About 5mins later, she comes back and says, my card dont work. Well, 1st of all, it works fine but the reason I told her in advance is for her to do it as credit or without chip usage. Anyway, i told her, I will give her cash. She handed her hand out for my cash, but still had my debit card. I told her to give my card 1st, then I gave her a $50 bill. She took a min and came back with $26 change. I looked at her funny and asked where my receipt she said since I didnt pay with card, I cant get a receipt. I asked how much was it again, she looked at me with a attitude and said, its right. $13 from $50 is $26 and I told her its incorrect and then she shut window on me and started talking to other worker. I bought 14 links, which she gave him the smallest links in there and a strawberry fanta, no ice. Maybe she gaving a bad day. But, lately she has acted this way. Idk way, i haven’t done anything to her and idk her either well. I drove around to front door, went in with food and money. Told the smaller dark lady, who is always sweet and she asked what i bought, told her and still that lady tried to say, 50-13=26, and thats what i gave you. Well, im not dumb, but I know how to count. So instead of arguing, i pulled out my phn to calculator, then she hurried up and said, or yea..I owe you $10. Laid it on counter and walked away. I told my hubby when i took him the food and he tut old me to report it. He said, he was proud of me, cause normally i goes off about my money. But, I have grown alot and tries to be better. She still had a attutude, vut you tried to CHEAT ME, but mad at me. I dont get that. How many people does, she do like this daily that she THINKS, DONT COUNT THEIR MONEY. My husband is bad about not counting his, but I DONT PLAY LIKE THAT. He eats at Rheas at least weekly, and before he had his seizures last yr. He ate 3 times a week faithfully on lunch break of after work. Smh at her.
