Hands (ha!) down the best manicure I’ve ever had. Katty, my manicurist, paid amazing attention to detail and was absolutely fastidious. Made absolutely sure that my nails were perfect and listened very intently when I mentioned that my nails are very brittle and break easily. I’ve been to a lot of very good salons, but this was the first time I left entirely satisfied. Lili, the owner, was a sweetheart to boot. Not only did she make me feel very welcomed there, but she had no problem with a friend of mine sitting and waiting with me, even though she wasn’t seeking services. Lili was very sweet when I mentioned some rough personal things going on in my life, and showed genuine interest and concern, rather than the typical “I’m listening because that’s good customer service” vibe one often gets (at no fault of those, people of course; it was just really nice to receive the support). To top it all off, the ethics of the place are great. I know it’s not the only cruelty-free game in town, but after going home and looking into their products a little more, I was very pleased by the obviously thoughtful sourcing. I’m really looking forward to them opening up the cafe and bar portion of the place, too. This will make it a truly wonderful experience, and well worth going a bit out of the way for

Luna Nail Lounge – Menu with Prices – 1523 132nd St SE #A, Everett

I am never that customer to complain or say anything especially when it comes to stuff like this since I rarely go to get my nails done, but I have never received such poor and lazy service. So I am not gonna lie when I say I was not very impressed with the services I received from Luna Nail. My mom and I had both heard from many people that this new place was the place to go, so we figured we would try it out when we needed our nails done for my cousins wedding. So we made an appointment for a manicure and pedicure for the both of us. We got there a few minutes early, figuring we would go in and pick out our colors. We waited for about 10+ minutes to be taken back to the seats for our pedicures and then were left there for 25 minutes, and nobody came over to say they would be right with us, or let us know what was going on. We had ordered drinks, and we didn’t get those until well into the end of the pedicure. The lady was very clearly rushing to get me done as well as the gal who was with my mom. My gal cut practically all of my cuticles and hacked at my nails. And then to cover it up painted all the way down over it so it could be less noticeable. Then the gal who was working on my mom cut my moms fingernails down to the stub when my mom had asked to keep them at the lengths they were at. My mom had also asked for her nails to be buffed so they would be shiny as she doesn’t like polish on her nails and the gal buffed for maybe 5 minutes, and then said she was done. So my mom asked her if she could buff them some more so they were actually shiny and she went over each one once and then said she was done again. Her nails looked like crap, and were no were near what it means to have your nails buffed. Now it is only 3 days later and my nails are trash, my fingernail paint has completely chipped off and wasn’t even on for the wedding which was the whole purpose of getting them done. To say the least we were not impressed by the quality or treatment of service, and won’t be returning again.

The Polish Lounge – Menu with Prices – 3605 S Gilbert Rd suite 101, Gilbert

UPDATE I was contacted the day after my appt by the owner & was told if i come back in they will fix my nails free of charge. Went back today & was told if i wanted to take all the dip powder off & do something different i would be charged. Sara did my nails and was so patient with me as i was not clear with her on what i wanted. Once we cleared up the confusion she did my nails exactly how i wanted them. I ended up not being charged in the end. The owner Vivian was very sweet both on the phone and when i went in. I love my nails now! Decided to try this place because of all the cute nails on their instagram. Drove 25 minutes to the salon & was greeted very nicely. Got my pedicure done first by a guy that was obviously new so it took a while & my nails are uneven but that seems like a nonissue compared to my finger nails. The pictures speak for themselves. The first is what i showed her and the second two are what she gave me I will say the receptionist man did come over, take a look at my nails, and ask if i liked them. I said i did, as i wasn’t sure how to say i didn’t think my nails could be salvaged & we’d have to take off all the polish and start over. That was another hour at least that i wasn’t willing to commit to. If this were regular polish I would have removed it as soon as i got home. Gonna take the 62 dollar hit on this one & never return.

Four Season – Menu with Prices – 4219 Arden Way, Sacramento

I visited this nail salon for the first time. It was their grand opening special and services were 20% off. I usually get gel done on my regular nails but I’ve been wanting to try the dip powder.. so I decided to try it. The lady the assisted me was a older Asian lady who didn’t speak much to any English which is kinda annoying cuz how is she going to understand anything I tell or ask her. So I didn’t know the process to the dip powder Niall’s. Didn’t know that they used the machine at the end to shape and get rid of the Cuticles.. so I just assumed that she would cut them when we first started.. and id get a manicure done..cause no one told me what the process was.. and I had mentioned a few times this was my first time trying the dip powder. So i asked her to cut them…Instantly she seemed annoyed. Well if she would have just told me it would have be taken care of towards the end I’d be like ok fine. She seems to be rushing through the whole process. And she was using a sharp nail file to file and shape my nails and she sliced my pinky finger open!! Not like a paper cut but like I actually a knife cut type of cut, it was fairly deep. Started bleeding. She put some alcohol and some kinda green liquid on it..and continued filing the nails.. so then all the dust went into my cut! Then towards the end when I was done and waiting for nails to dry….some other worker came and touched a nail to see if it was dry.. she messed it up.. then I washed my hands when they told me to…no soap and one of my nails started to look weird.. like the top coated was dissolving.. so she had to redo the top coat for 2 nails. Finally I’m done! Felt like forever. Went to pay.. and it was $40! Why $40 when the price listed says $35..like what was the $5 extra for? Cutting my cuticles! At this point I was done and ready to go.. didn’t question it… with the discount it was like $32… and I left a $5 tips which I felt like I shouldn’t have left one cuz the lady was not very friendly and rushing to get done but my nails did look nice. Seems like a clean place. Owner was nice.. you would think they would give me more of a discount since my finger had a fairly deep cut thanks to my nails lady! But whatever, my cut hurt/stung for 2 days! They need to have more cautious workers.

Chloe Beauty – Menu with Prices – 1750 S Rainbow Blvd Suite 15, Las Vegas

I was in desperate need of a pedi before my trip to Seattle & recently moved, so I needed to find a place that could squeeze me in. Luckily Chloe beauty was very accommodating with getting me in. The owner is from Korea and she’s super sweet. This nail salon isn’t like the typical one you would find in Vegas. It’s very small & intimate. There’s only one chair & one desk for you to get a mani & pedi. I ended up getting a gel pedicure & she really took her time to make sure it was perfect. I usually go for a plain, flat, white but she suggested to do a pearl-ish chrome overlay which I loved! As she was doing my pedicure I was looking at all the designs that she does from both nails & feet. They’re really intricate & very korean/japanese style which I absolutely love. Some nail places do too much but I think her designs are very subtle but stand out. I’m going to go back to get a gel manicure with designs, so I’ll update my review afterwards. So far this salon is a great place to get your nails done if you want simple, cute, & done properly. They offer other services such as waxing & lashes, which they’re offering as a new business special. Overall, if you want to experience & a more one-on-one nail service, I’d highly recommend this place. I’d highly suggest making an appointment just to ensure you avoid a wait if she’s working on another customer ?

Asia Bistro – Menu with Prices – Eutaw Village Shopping Center 2724 B, Bragg Blvd, Fayetteville

I always had a great experience coming to this location months ago when they were starting the online ordering. Every since they have gotten new staff the service for carry out has gone down hill. Today I decided I wanted my usually order of Pad Tai so I called to place the order, I moved to Ramsey St and it takes about 15mins to get to this location. As I’m calling the woman stated she’ll be with me in 30 seconds. I’m driving to the location at this point and listening to the obnoxious conversations she was having with whoever she was around. Also listening to her take and receive 3 orders. I stayed on the phone for 12 minutes as I looked down at my phone standing in front of the woman. She said they had several people in front of the counter while I was on hold. She rolled her eyes up and apologized. My thing is if you don’t want to help people over the phone and work customer service find another damn job. This is probably why you all are always hiring. The last time the same woman was bagging my order and took the fortune cookies out the bag and tried to tie the bag back up. I appreciate the fortune cookies helps me cope with the terrible service.

Burrito gringo Bank @ Hunt Club – Menu with Prices – 2430 Bank St #10, Ottawa

I just ordered something for the first time with Burrito Gringo on skipthedishes. In the description of the Grande Bowl it says that there should be two tortillas in the order. I did not receive the two tortillas. I called the Burrito Gingo regarding this matter on July 30 at 18:30 and the employee on the phone was less than unpleasant. He repeatedly said that it was my fault that I did not specify the tortillas in my order. I did not think that something thats in the item description needed to be specified in the comments section. If I ordered a pepperoni pizza do I need to specify that I need pepperoni? Do I need to specify thatI need cheese and dough and tomato sauce? Same idea. This is false advertising if they say in the description one thing and deliver something completely different. The worst part of the experience is the employee “John” who repeatedly insulted me and claimed that it was my fault. I am thoroughly upset by this order and am horrified that this type of customer service exists.

Nirvana Beauty Lounge – Menu with Prices – 1700 S Virginia St, Reno

I had a poor experience here three days before my wedding. My whole wedding party and my mom came along for pedicures and some for manicures. I was hoping to get some simple flowers painted on my nails to match my dress. My nail tech was nice about it but told me she didn’t know how. She said some of the other nail techs would know how and she would just have them do it for me. She leaned over to the tech next to her, who was working on one of my bridesmaids. I couldn’t make out exactly what she asked her but the other tech said “No.” My tech said something else and the other tech again said “No. Takes too long.” So I gathered that someone could do it – maybe even her – but they just didn’t want to. I mentioned that I just wanted something special since it was my wedding day. They asked if I wanted a stamp and I said I’d look at them. My tech brought the stencils over and I found one that had flowers and a butterfly that I thought might work. I asked if they could do multiple colors in a stamp (I know that is possible as I have seen it) and they said no. My Maid of Honor asked if they could layer colors then and the nail tech next to me made some excuse about me not having enough space on my nail, which makes no sense to begin with, plus my nails were long, so there was a lot of space. They just didn’t want to do anything but a single color for me, no matter how many times I mentioned that I was hoping for something special for my wedding day. I guess maybe we were supposed to tell them in advance if we wanted nail art, but I feel like they could have done it for me. I was the only one asking for it. That tech next to me was unfriendly the whole time. Mine was nice at least. My mom had the nicest one. It was a man, whose name I forget. They do not use proper practices – they snipped and yanked our cuticles with nippers, which you are NOT supposed to do (my MoH is a licensed Cosmetologist and knows the proper procedures/laws). My tech cut me twice ON MY LEFT RING FINGER, of all fingers, and I bled. It was red and inflamed on my wedding day and it still hurts. They cut my Maid of Honor, too, and the tech literally painted her blood into her nails. I am dead serious. Her yellow nails have red in them from her blood. She also tried to do some kind of ombre thing that my friend didn’t ask for and didn’t come out looking good. They also performed what is technically considered a medical procedure on my MoH’s toenail (not allowed in that setting) and left it very red and painful for her on the wedding day. It was only bothering her a little before that. They found ways to do upcharge services on both me and my MoH that we didn’t realize they were doing. It was really expensive for nothing special at all. It’s a fancy new building and the decor and chairs are nice, but this is just another basic nail place that won’t do anything special, even if it is your wedding day. Do not go here if you want anything more than a single color or if you have any overgrowth at all on your cuticles because they will cut and pull at them.

Green Nails & Spa Menu with Prices 3650 Atlanta Hwy Suite 3654-A, Athens

I have been a customer of Green Nail since it opened. My nails have always been fantastic. Today I made an appt for a 1pm pedicure. 1 employee started working on my toes, then leaves and another employee comes over to work on them..She begins to leave and I ask her if she was going to paint my toes? She told me no “because her client was here”. I thought this was weird so I waited for another 10 mins (remember I made a 1pm appt) and no one was coming to paint my nails. I immediately got up and put my shoes on and told them I was leaving. I had never been treated so poorly by a place that I have visited every 2-3 weeks faithfully since they opened. The manger did not care that I was upset and did not even offer an apology. She also made me pay full price for a service I’m not sure I even got. I would be less upset if I did not make an appointment and have THREE different people work on me. The customer service was awful and I am so disappointed. I have referred so many family and friends here and I will never recommend them again. You do not treat returning customers like this.

Harlowe MXM – Menu with Prices – 2823 Main St, Dallas

Came to Harlowe MXM on a Friday evening for my gf’s birthday dinner and it was a nice experience. Before I begin, I first want to thank, who I believe was the manager (African American woman with beautiful curly gray hair)… she was ON IT! From the welcome to ensuring we were being taken care of… she was absolutely phenomenal. The ambience of the restaurant was aesthetic pleasing to the eyes and had plenty of space for both large and small parties. The food… wasn’t anything to run home and tell your mama. I had the burger, which was great for a burger. The fried would have really hit the spot had they had BBQ sauce. Gosh– please add that! My friend’s reactions to their Lobster Roll was a bit amusing because they each mentioned that it was super small… especially for the price. They mentioned that it was a bit lemony and that it was served at room temp. My girls who ordered the Thai ribs said it was a no-go. In the words of UGK– “Too soon! Don’t do it! Reconsider! Read some liter-ature on the subject.” They did not like them nor the random pecans/almonds that were sprinkled atop. After dinner, we headed upstairs to the rooftop in hopes of listening to some jams while dancing. It was around 10:30 and still the music wasn’t loud enough to enjoy. I was expecting the likes of Stirr, but it never came to be. Maybe we were early?! Idk. For the most part, it’s s decent place to visit.

MAUNA KEA GRILL LLC Menu with Prices 63063 Layton Ave, Bend

Food was good, but was served cold. We were waiting a while, and when we came up to the counter to check on the order, the worker said she called us earlier but “sorry, I don’t have a loud voice.” On one hand, maybe it’s our fault for not hearing her? We were listening rather intently, and found it almost unbelievable that we didn’t hear her considering we weren’t sitting very far. On the other hand, we would have appreciated it if she called our name a second time versus letting our food just sit there. If you know you don’t have a loud voice, either put in extra effort to make sure your customer can hear you, or keep saying their name so their food doesn’t get cold. We’re not ones to complain, being that my girlfriend and I have worked in the service industry and know things don’t go smoothly sometimes. But the burger was way too cold to give a pass, and the cheese on the nachos was already hardened. We hate to leave a negative review for such a petty reason, but it’s simple customer service. I hope, if the worker reads this, that she doesn’t get butthurt or defensive, but instead just makes sure people can hear her next time.

Cloverleaf Family Bowl – Menu with Prices – 40645 Fremont Blvd #3, Fremont

What a great place to bowl! Came here with some friends and the place is just wonderful! The staff were friendly and there were plenty of space! I think all in all there were 44 lanes which is quite large in my book. Pizza was pretty good here and theres some little arcade games in the front area! I wouldn’t say this is the cheapest place to bowl since its per game and not per hour but it was clean and hand many balls to choose from. The only thing I would have liked more is if they would take out the bowling balls that have alot of dents in them. Most of the balls i saw were around 8-15 lb which is fine. I would suggest that if you have long nails or recently done nails, please do NOT bowl.. it will indeed Chip the nail. I was sad it happened. Oh and please bring some socks! Their sock machine is a bit pricey for one pair of socks but hey… I get weird about wearing rental shoes… NOTE: They are petitioning for people to sign so they can keep the place open. Apparently they might close and it may be turned into YET ANOTHER HOUSING area….. there are too many building here! Its already overly crowded. Lets keep the Bowling Alley alive !! SUPPORT!

Hilton Orlando – Menu with Prices – 6001 Destination Pkwy, Orlando

From the moment i arrived to the hotel, the reservation desk was very nice. I was welcomed by Ben who was so friendly, informative and pleasant to talk with. Prior to arriving I requested early check in and when I got there my room was available. The hallways and the room was very clean, no dirty smells, and fresh linen and a clean bathroom. My stay was absolutely wonderful. From everyone that i encountered from check in to check out was so friendly and helpful. Everyone served with a smile. Check out was so easy and smooth. I checked out with Nikki, Her mannerism was so respectful and professional. Any questions I had on charges she explained it in a way I could understand. Excellent customer service is so hard to come by and I do not take for granted the service and support that I received from Ben and Nikki. I wish I could remember my servers name at the pool because even she was amazing (I would love for her to be acknowledged as well in this review) . Because the service I received at the Hilton Orlando was above exceptional I will absolutely choose that hotel as my first choice no matter price when staying in Orlando. Excellent Customer Service is a QUALITY AND PRIORITY for me, and that supersedes all the glitz and glamour of any hotel.. You can have a big beautiful hotel and have bad customer service. So,Thank you so much to the Hilton Orlando.
