This place in horrible.. I ordered a “entire” chicken which was $21 for the whole meal. After trying to explain that I didn’t want the meal just the chicken.. I was still charged $21.. instead of going through the Spanglish picture game again I just smiled and figured I would try the rice and beans.. So they give me 2 meal plates and I head home.. I open the first to see what I got and its 4 different cups of salsa. They charged the same price for a meal as it is just chicken.. So OK I just overpaid but hopefully the chicken is good.. Nope it was dry and I noticed that my entire chicken was a wing 4 legs and thigh … Which they Cleve into pieces thinking I can’t tell the different between a breast and a thigh cut into 3 pieces aka shards of chicken femur all over your plate.. Just pass there is a reason this is a tiny always empty chicken shack.. Definitely not a hidden gem

India Bistro – Menu with Prices – 2301 NW Market St, Seattle

This is an awesome spot when we’re in the mood to overindulge. Yes, I’m talking about their 9.95 lunch buffet. Usually, they will have about 4 curry selections (including butter chicken and saag panner) in addition to a couple of crunchy refreshing salads, complementary to the creamy curries and other entrees like tandoori chicken. There is a couple of dessert items as well, I think one of them was a sweet rice pudding-like item, which I didn’t try. Bonus: naan is part of the buffet, as the server will bring you a plate of it to your table. Minus: The naan is kind of dense and bready. The chicken pieces in the curries weren’t tender and juicy. Maybe they use chicken breast and not thigh. Either way, I happily enjoyed my meal and will be returning for sure

Bud’s Rockin’ Country Bar & Grill – Menu with Prices – 2124 W Franklin St, Evansville

We stopped in to get something to eat as we were passing through. They seated us right away and left menus on the table. When the waitress arrived she asked what we wanted to drink. It would have been nice if they had a drink menu as they looked like they had a lot of beer on tap. She rattled off the beer on tap and we selected one. She said that they are having a special on the “fish bowl” size drink. I had no idea what that meant. She never explained. She came back to get our order, no drinks in hand, and a short while later she brought the drinks. They were in schooner or goblet glasses. I ordered the special for Tuesday “Southern Fried Chicken – Thigh, Leg and breast fried to crispy perfection and served with chicken gravy, yeast roll w/honey butter, mashed potatoes and seasoned vegetables of the day”. Well I got a wing, not a thigh, leg and breast with NO chicken gravy, overcooked green beans and luke warm mashed potatoes. There was a cup of something that I wasn’t sure what it was. It tasted disgusting and later I found out it was the honey butter, I’m glad I didn’t put it on my barely warm roll. Overall I would not eat here again. I really don’t expect much from bar food but at 12:43pm I would think the special would be better.

Healthy Henry’s – Menu with Prices – 159-27 Jamaica Ave, Jamaica

Just left a meeting in Jamaica, Queens and was hungry. So many places had no place to sit. Good old YELP help me find Healthy Henry’s. The Jamaica Market is filled with several small restaurants – mostly ethnic – and is a pleasant place to sit and enjoy a meal. I chose the “small plate” which was actually a styrofoam clamshell. I ordered the rosemary baked chicken, cabbage, a corn muffin, and pomegranate limeade. The first thing I noticed and was pleased with was that the chicken pieces did not appear to grown on steroids. The pieces (drumstick and piece of breast) were well seasoned and tender. The breast piece was particularly savory when I bit into the skin and the flavors exploded in my mouth. I’m sure I heard the Hallelujah Chorus. The cabbage was outstanding – cooked with a few carrots, garlic and other seasonings. It was a perfect accompaniment to the chicken. The corn muffin was also very good – the right amount of sweetness and a nice crispy crust. Topped off with the Pomegranate Limeade (unsweetened), I enjoyed a meal which couldn’t be beat for quality, flavor, and price. Who said NY is expensive? This fine meal set me back $6.50! Sorry I won’t be in the area another day. I would definitely return and sample some of their other offerings.

Josanne?s homestyle cooking – Menu with Prices – 3449 Buckhorn Dr Ste 100, Lexington

My son and daughter-in-law live in the Buckhorn neighborhood and they were talking about how good Josannes chicken is. I love small places so I thought I would give it a try. Who doesnt like Southern cooking? So after a long hot, humid day at work I stopped in . I was sooo looking forward to a good fried chicken meal. The nice lady at the counter was very friendly. It smells great in there, and now I’m starving. So I ordered the 3 piece chicken meal. I inquired what 3 pieces are included. She told me that it comes with a breast, a wing and a leg. I’m not a leg fan so I asked to sub a wing for the leg. She kindly told me I could have any 3 pieces I want but they are out of breasts! I was crushed. Its 430 on Friday night…and theres no breasts? I almost left but I really wanted to try the greens, so I got the catfish meal with cabbage and greens. While waiting I asked about purchasing a soda so I asked for a Pepsi. Nope, they are out. Ugh…. Disappointed, I got my dinner and headed home. I got home to discover the catfish doesnt come with tarter sauce! UGH…..maybe they were out. SOOOO…Josannes gets a 3 from me this time. The catfish..plain…was good along with both sides but I was hungry for chicken. I’ll wait a couple of weeks and try them one more time. I just don’t feel like you should be out of food and drinks going into the weekend. Js

Extreme Teriyaki at Old Milton Menu with Prices 3710 Old Milton Pkwy, Alpharetta

This restaurant had many positive reviews on Yelp, I had to try it! We originally found it on Scoutmob ($5.00 off your meal). I looked up the menu before going there and was surprised to see the prices so low. I started to wonder about the quality of the ingredients they used. When we were looking at the menu inside the restaurant, we noticed the prices were slightly different and higher than what we saw online (but not by much). We started with the Crab Rangoons which were a low price of $1.99 for four pieces. How is it that cheap? They were actually very good! For the main dish, I had the Hibachi Chicken which came with rice (fried or steamed) and a veggie mix (cabbage, carrots, and broccoli). The veggie mix and rice were pretty good but the chicken was not as good. I could barely eat it! The texture tasted like you were eating a chunk of gum. It was processed. I actually ordered the Hibachi Chicken (chicken breast) as opposed to the Teriyaki Chicken (Chicken Thigh) because I thought it would be leaner meat. When the cook put the meat on the grill, it looked normal but I couldn’t chew it. If you’re looking for a snack, for example, spring rolls or crab rangoons, then this would be the place for you. For the price, you can’t beat it. I don’t advise the chicken in the meals though. I was disappointed.

Pacific Southern – Menu with Prices – 3832 S Pine St, Tacoma

DO NOT COME HERE! DON’T WASTE YOUR MONEY! DON’T WASTE YOUT TASTE BUDS! We heard this place has changed hands so not sure if it is good, but we came to try it on the way home…. bad choice…. SERVICE: SLOW/LOW ENERGY/CARELESS/NO ATTENTION/NO CUSTOMER SERVICE First sign, we were the only ones there waiting at the door to be seated and the hostess was right in front of us…. she took a few minutes before acknowledging us and before seating us. Second sign, we noticed after seating that 6 tables were dirty and there were only 2 waitresses. Based on the amount of people the 2 waitresses would have been able to manage. But the waitresses were too busy dilly-dallying and chit-chatting with a particular table while the kitchen counter was full of foods to be served. The waitresses just weren’t hustling to get them out. We watched one waitress took only one plate off the kitchen counter to serve vs using a tray to load and serve multiple dishes at once. The plates of foods were just getting colder by the minute sitting on the kitchen counter. Third sign, a large table of 12 got up and left and had words with the waitress. The waitress looked upset and so did the 12 customers. I asked one of the customers leaving and the lady said they sat there for 40 mins and the drinks never even got served let alone their foods. They were tired of waiting and the lack of attention and service that they just weren’t going to wait any longer. We were contemplating if we should leave too and then their food (same as what we ordered) were serves to us. FOOD: NO TASTE/NO SEASONINGS!!! The food looked good but as we started eating we didn’t taste any flavor. Overall, everything fell flat! – CHICKEN & WAFFLES: It was supposed be 4 pieces of chicken but what they don’t tell you is you get a wing, thigh, 2 chicken strips (HALF a chicken breast split into 2 strips to make pieces 3 & 4)! Deceiving! You would assume 4 PIECES of chicken not 2 pieces & 2 strips! Btw, they never served the syrup with my waffle…. – COUNTRY FRIED STEAK: The gravy was WATERY. The batter and country fried steak SEPARATED and CRUMBLED into little bits. The toast and eggs were fine. – SIDE ORDER OF GRITS: It was too THICK & DRY. The texture was more like PLAY-DOH. Butter was not served with the grits. There was ZERO FLAVOR and texture was not right. – SIDE ORDER OF CATFISH: NO FLAVOR but it was moist. Total waste of close to $60.

New York fried Chicken – Menu with Prices – 446 Blue Hill Avenue, Boston

My best friend had brought the wing ding meal home one night for himself and let me try a wing and I thought they were pretty good, especially for the price. So of course later on I went and got my own wing ding meal. For 3.99 plus tax you get 6 wings and some fries it is definitely a good deal. Everything was fresh and the wait wasn’t too long. The chicken was pretty crispy and definitely had taste. I would go back again. The fries were good but nothing special. I would highly recommend the wing ding meal to anyone who is hungry but is on a budget.

Little Tokyo Teppanyaki Dumpling & Noodle – Menu with Prices – 1 Providence Pl, Providence

They charged me 17.99 when I was only supposed to be charged 7.99. I wonder how many other people they have done this to.? Look at your receipt when you order from there. I’m sure I’m not the only one. And the meat is questionable. There is no gristle and connective tissue in chicken breast. Watch your “chicken” teriyaki…. I’m gonna try to get my $10 back… I will keep you posted….

Lee’s Famous Recipe Chicken Stellhorn – Menu with Prices – 6316 Stellhorn Rd, Fort Wayne

My wife and I are not from around the Fort Wayne area originally and fell in love with Lees when we moved up here and tried it. I absolutely love their spicy recipe and get the breast and thigh meal all the time. Today we went through the drive through and I was informed that now, when you get a meal, they only have the option for DARK meat. If you want a cut of white, they charge EXTRA. To me, this makes NO sense and I was given no explanation as to why. In addition to this new found rip off, the lady working the drive through was not friendly at all and put off negative energy and attitude like it’s nobody’s business and didn’t even ask if we wanted any honey or jam to go with our biscuits (which is fine if they just go ahead and throw some in the bag). I informed my wife that I will give them one more shot and if I get up charged again for wanting a meal with white meat, I will NEVER go back, which will be disappointing because the food is really good and definitely beats out KFC.

Teriyaki House – Menu with Prices – 4921 Riverside Dr, Macon

The ordering process was almost comical! They charge you extra for everything! If you want egg in your fried race, it’s $.99! I’ve never been asked that before, nor gotten charged extra! Then my son and I were going to split a meal, we weren’t very hungry, and asked for veggies to be placed on side of plate, not mixed in. My son is not a big veggie eater. They charged me $.50 for that! Got my meal and veggies in a separate container that I did not request? Maybe that’s why the additional charge that I did not ask for? We all wanted Coke to drink, but it was out. Noticed the loud, distracting air conditioner someone else commented on. Annoying. Ordered Crab Rangoons and was given wrong sauce. Had to pay $.50 for the right sauce! I paid for their error? Worst Crab Rangoons I’ve ever had. Hardly any filling. We will not be back, ever! Nickle and dimed to death. Very short sided thinking and based on other reviews, the owner does not care. So many better options!

Kra Z Kai’s BBQ – Menu with Prices – 1218 Magnolia Ave #110, Corona

Never tried Loa food before but had to give it shot because one I can’t say no to BBQ and two the reviews are great. The location is defiantly tucked in a plaza where you can hardly see it. However if you are in the location of El Super market in corona you will be sure to see it as there are signs posted throughout the plaza. When I got there I told the cashier it was my first time. They did recommend there too seller which was the mix plate where you can choose from 4 different meat options. I wanted to try everything so I did order in addition to getting a side of beef jerky. I also substituted there regular salad for papaya salad. The cost to substitute is $5 cause who wants a boring salad. The rice option you have the option to choose form sticky rice, fried or white. I wasn’t sure what sticky rice was so they let me try it. Believe me when I say this it’s plain sticky Rice. The chicken you can also whose thigh and thigh, thigh and wing, etc. so that’s nice. Out of everything I got I would say that papaya salad and chicken were the best. The chicken was moist and very flavorful. I mean delicious. Off the hook! Papaya salad I order a medium so 7/8 out of a 10 heat wise and Ed it’s spicy. I do like spicy but it’s enough for your taste palate. I think a 10 is above and beyond the heat. I enjoyed it a lot however it does have Avery pungent smell like wet dog. Exactly like wet dog. Some People say the more it stinks the better. And yes it does smell but it doesn’t stop me from eating it. However if you take it home careful your car will surely smell. The beef jerky lacked flavor and was dry. Defiantly not my cup of tea The ribs were ok, had better but I wasn’t a huge fan. Did lack some flavor Sausage was ok however it was very taken over by lemon grass flavor. Alittle wayyyyy too much. Fried rice was good but had better. If I come back I going straight for the chicken! Overall great service! I’ll be back for there chicken

The Crack Shack – Las Vegas – Menu with Prices – Park MGM, 3770 S Las Vegas Blvd, Las Vegas

I caught wind of The Crack Shack when my coworker and his wife went there for the first time. When I saw my coworker post pictures of some beautifully fried chicken pieces and fried chicken sandwiches on his IG story, I knew I HAD to try this place. Luckily for me, I didn’t have to wait too long as I had a Vegas trip planned in the upcoming weeks. Well, that time has come and here I am in Las Vegas. I had the pleasure of having The Crack Shack for lunch… and WOW. Just incredible. The Crack Shack was located along Las Vegas Blvd in between Park MGM and Aria. It was a lot more accessible coming from Park MGM and walking through Eataly to the street. You can’t miss it especially with the giant statue of a chicken wearing a Golden Knights jersey. My boyfriend and I arrived at The Crack Shack on a Friday around 1:00pm. The restaurant wasn’t that busy when we ordered, and there was plenty of available seating. Business picked up 30 minutes later, so I’m glad we came right before a late lunch rush. The food came out considerably fast too. We waited no more than 10 minutes until our buzzer went off indicating the food was ready for pickup. My boyfriend and I ordered a 5 piece fried chicken, a firebird sandwich, and a side of regular schmaltz fries. The food was all around excellent. The fried chicken was out of this world, y’all! First of all, I was shocked by how huge the pieces were. I’ve never seen such plump and generous cuts of fried chicken. The chicken meat was juicy and tender, and the skin was thick and extra crunchy. Before I read the small note describing how The Crack Shack offers a free-range type of chicken that doesn’t have additives injected into it, I could definitely taste the premium quality of the chicken. We got the honey butter flavor per recommendation of the staff member who rang us up, and it was a great choice. I’m a Hattie B’s/Nashville Hot Chicken snob, so I had to get the Firebird. Oh, Firebird. How I love you so. Dark meat from the spicy chicken thigh can never do me wrong. Honestly what made this sandwich for me were the crispy shallots and fresh cut pickles. Schmaltz fries got their deliciousness from rendered chicken fat. The texture and taste of the fries was similar to duck fat fries. They were somewhat translucent and have a different texture than basic fries, but something about the Schmaltz gave the fries a very nice crispiness to them. These fries were literally like crack. They were so addicting that I was eating them mindlessly even after I felt full the Firebird and fried chicken. I’m sad to say that after having The Crack Shack I feel this void in my heart. The food was so good that I wish I could have more of it. Hence, “Crack” shack, am I right? I had no idea that it was a California chain since it hasn’t made its way up from SoCal. The Bay Area, where I am from, so desperately needs a franchise location!
