I am not Chinese, and I have not been to China, so I have nothing to compare these crepes to, but I have to admit I like them! The crepe is not similar to a french crepe, not a burrito wrap, but it is good. It is made with wheat and grains, and eggs? I had the Peking duck crepe, good flavor, and it was filling enough for me. The only problem is if I want more cucumber or cilantro, it costs an additional 1:50$ for each item, which is totally not worth the additional cost. For a crepe that costs already 13$, these could be very expensive to add just a sprig of cilantro! Or green onions… ! I deducted one star because I expected some crispy duck skin, well, you know, Peking duck to me= crispy crunchy skin… my wait time was about 10 minutes. By the time I finished my crepe, they are already on another 12th order, so I can say business is good. This is a nice addition to Bellevue Square. The place is tiny, only about six stools inside, and 2 tables in the walkway. But I saw Asian ladies with Gucci bags have these crepes for lunch, so they must be pretty authentic!! I would be back to try the other items on the menu.

The Han Dynasty – Menu with Prices – 6401 W Jefferson Blvd, Fort Wayne

This is a nice family-run restaurant that serves very high-quality food with good service. I first started with the pan fried pork and vegetable pot stickers which were some of the best I’ve ever had due to them not just consisting of meat, but being balanced in flavors and texture with the combination of vegetables inside with a little ginger and the dumpling sauce which is a good compliment along with a touch of the hot pepper sauce that are brought in separate containers so you may customize it to your desired liking. I had asked about their regular salad which evidently comes with a ginger dressing (but not like the Japanese-type version) but doesn’t have cucumber on it (which I wanted). And they didn’t want to add any since they say they would have cut a whole cucumber.? Seems like might not use enough to add it to all salads; they must not sell enough salads. So I ordered the cucumber salad which consist of just chilled, crisp cucumber slices in a very light, subtle vinegar dressing (with a slight hint of sesame oil), which was very refreshing. The owner had brought a sample of the regular salad’s ginger dressing, which I added to the cucumber salad and it was good together! I then had the crispy duck which comes with a choice of white or fried rice and a choice of a cup of several different soups. I chose the wonton soup and fried rice. The wonton soup has a nice chicken broth and wonton. I asked if could get 2 pancakes, some hoisin sauce and a small plate of shredded green onion/scallions so I could roll the duck pieces (after taken off of the bones) along with the onions and hoisin sauce in the pancakes á la Peking duck style, since it would take too much notice to get the Peking duck. The duck was very good, but like most crispy duck versions, it always ranges from a little (in this case, still goo) to a lot over-cooked (ruined) because of it being cooked ahead and then fried to crispen it up. That is why I prefer Peking duck, because it is cooked to order and juicer inside with very crisp skin. But I very rarely would know that far in advance when I will want to pre-order Peking duck. Sometimes you can get Peking duck at any time if you are in a big city that has a Chinatown area that specializes in Peking duck and has a high demand for it. The fried rice that accompanied the duck was just so so; not much flavor, so I made it taste better with some of the dumpling sauce added to it. I wish they would allow you to get a small or 1/2 order of the sautéed mixed vegetables, but they only have a large order which is just too much food & $ when tacked on. The only small portion of vegetables they offer is plain steamed vegetables. So I declined. None of the desserts are house-made, so I didn’t order one. Their complimentary fortune cookie is of good quality and a nice little nosh.

Crêpes For U – Menu with Prices – 218 Legacy Dr, Plano

I’ve been coming here for 5 years now. Still is and will forever be my favorite crepes place. Here’s why: Paul, the owner and the one making all the crepes, is the sweetest human being on this planet ever. He’s so patient and takes so much care into ensuring that each crepe is made to perfection. Their crepes are soo delicious too. I’ve asked Paul to make my crepes slightly more crispy and he’s always been more than willing to accommodate. My go-to order is the Kiki’s special – it’s with fresh banana, whipped cream, hazelnut chocolate sauce drizzle and a scoop of ice cream (you get to choose the flavor!) Yes, their hours of operation are a hit or miss, sometimes. But that’s the beauty of an independently-owned business – they can take a break whenever they want! This crepes shop is located inside the grocery market and is conveniently located next to Mitsuwa and also a food court as well. It’s a great area to just hang out with friends and eat some delicious asian food/snacks. I love Crepes 4 U. I will always be recommending this place to my friends and to anyone that is a fellow crepe-lover.

The Flat Creperie – Menu with Prices – 5385, 111 Water St E # A, Charlottesville

I have been waiting to try this gem for so long, and on Saturday the moment finally came! We stopped in around 12:30 for a savory lunch crepe, and didn’t have to wait in line to order, however after we ordered people started coming and lining up, so we got lucky with our timing! The crepes took maybe 8 minutes or so to come out, and when they did they were smoking hot, delicious-smelling, and way bigger than I thought they’d be. Serious meal. I was stuffed after eating my delicious classic, the ham and Swiss crepe. The ham and Swiss both tasted high quality and very flavorful, and the apple slices in it balanced the saltiness perfectly. The only complaint I had was that by leaving the apple skin on, they were harder to bite through successfully amidst the other layers and m the apple slices kept sliding out when I’d take a bite. Not a deal breaker. My husband got the Southside of heaven crepe and it was stuffed full of sausage and cheese and all the fillings. I tried it and it was seriously good–so well balanced and definitely a good hearty combo. We’ll be back soon to try more and we want to try the sweet crepes next. I was so impressed with the service–very friendly and personable– and with the quality of the product. The crepes themselves were delicious and sturdy and I’m salivating in memory. Check out the flat, if you haven’t yet!

Little Kaiping Cantonese BBQ – Menu with Prices – 4011 # 128, E Renner Rd, Richardson

Wow, we just came back from a dinner at Little Kaiping and we are so glad reviews steered us their way. I mainly was interested in the Peking duck. I’m really the only one in my family who eats it and so being able to order 1/2 of one was great for me. Having read some great things about the duck made me curious, too. We had some fried and some steamed dumplings and some soups to start with and then ordered some chicken fried rice, chicken with snow peas and five treasure vegetables with the duck for the rest of the table. The dumplings, both steamed and fried, were filled nicely with chicken and vegetables and were seasoned well. Really nice. The egg drop soup and hot and sour soup were very good as well. The duck came out nicely timed and presented beautifully, a mound of sliced duck with crispy, golden brown skin, surrounded by a ring of more of the same. The meat was tender and seasoned perfectly and the skin was unbelievably crispy. Served with steamed buns, green onions and oyster sauce, it made for a wonderful meal. I tried some of all the other dishes as well and they were just as good. My whole party had a great meal and plenty of left overs to have another meal tomorrow. I also have to add a few words about the service, which was probably the best service I’ve ever had at a Chinese restaurant. Very friendly and attentive, making you feel at home without ever being bothersome or disturbing. We definitely will come back and if you like Cantonese food, you need to go as well!!!

Choco Fruit – Orange, CA – Menu with Prices – 1500 E Village Way #2229, Orange

My boyfriend and I ordered the chocolate covered pineapple skewer, a nutella crepe with strawberries and bananas and a Belgium chocolate crepe with strawberries and bananas. the pineapple skewer was the best part out of the 3 things… who doesn’t love chocolate covered fruit?! but I was disappointed with the crepes, and I am someone that LOVES crepes and loooves chocolate. the chocolate was not very tasty. For the nutella crepe, the fruit was on each side of the crepe rather than inside, and they were a little skimpy on the fruit. Overall, everything was okay but we would not order crepes from here again.

Cafe Atalaya – Menu with Prices – 66 E San Francisco St Suite #11, Santa Fe

Confession: I am not a crepe guy. Never never. Until we had breakfast at Cafe Atalaya. And now I am a fan–at least of theirs!!!! Imagine a lox crepe on a Sunday morning: forget the bagel. Let’s try loads of lox on an open double layered crepe covered with yogurt and the lox. Don’t worry about the cream cheese: you won’t miss it. Add diced tomato, capers and cucumber on the side along with perhaps the most perfect sliced hard boiled egg I have ever eaten. You get the idea. It was good–real good. Not to be outdone: Sandra had an incredible Nutella and banana crepe, stuffed to the gills with the filling topped with powdered sugar and chocolate. Like, huge!!!!! The place is relatively new, however very well located right across the street from the square. I have no doubt they will do very very well. I certainly hope so–their crepes certainly made me a convert.

Madame Poupon – Menu with Prices – 387A Nostrand Ave, Brooklyn

Had a really lovely experience at Madame Poupon, both because of the service & the food. My boyfriend and I came in on a Wednesday evening and grabbed a table in what was then a relatively empty restaurant. We each ordered the crepe complete (ham, cheese, egg) with asparagus, mushrooms, and onion jam. Then the chef brought over little butter & sugar crepe sample before our main dishes got there! He said he wanted us to sample what a true Brittany crepe was (spoiler: a true Brittany crepe is REALLY GOOD). Additionally, our waitress was so sweet and friendly! The service was a little slow, but she was so lovely and we didn’t care too much. My complaint with regards to this restaurant was that our food subsequently took like 30 minutes to arrive! This was probably because moments after we walked in, the restaurant got extremely full (and was super loud). Although this aspect was frustrating, once our crepes arrived, they were awesome. Personally, the egg was a little too rich for me, and next time I’d forgo it as unnecessary, but my boyfriend described it as an “excellent sodium kick”. We both agreed that the onion jam in the crepes was an essential addition (I wished there had been more!) and also really liked the ribboned asparagus slices to cut through the cheesiness. Also, the crepe itself is a masterpiece. It’s so good and somehow lightly sweet in a way that is perfect with the savory filling. We definitely loved our meal.

Á La Maison Monsieur Crêpes – Menu with Prices – 1617 S 900 E, Salt Lake City

Yes, yes, yes! This gem is a must go to! Located conveniently between Sugarhouse and 9th and 9th, the authenticity is unmatched here in Salt Lake. My goal is to try every crepe on the menu and I have almost accomplished it! There are sweet and savory crepes along with specialty. The sweet crepes are great for sharing at the table, unless you have a sweet tooth. I personally love the Nutella with bananas and strawberries, a classic. I found the Louve to be a bit too sweet for me. S’mores is a great option for the kids and the specialty crepes seem to all be amazing. Very authentic. There are some interesting combinations worth checking out, especially if you like brie! As far as the savory crepes go, I wasn’t a fan of the Cuban (with ground beef) but the others were delicious. Mmm writing this makes me want a sweet crepe now. I must go get one, see you there!

Bon Appetit Crêperie – Menu with Prices – 1233 N 3rd St, Harrisburg

I’ve been to a couple of crêperie in NJ, and one in Hershey; but Bon Appetit Crêperie has by far the best crepes of them all. The crepes are moist and springy, and the ingredients are fresh. They give generous amount of servings so after one savory crepe, you really don’t have room left for a sweet crepe. So if possible, come with someone to share so you can indulge on more than one kind of crepes!!! I was introduced to this charming little joint at an awesome Yelp event where I got to meet the owners and sample almost a dozen different crepes, both savory and sweet. The owners and their staff all came from out of state and share similar passion and work ethic. And I believe that’s one “ingredient” that make them stand out from the rest! My favorite savory crepe is hands down the Florentine. The filling mainly consists of chicken, spinach, and mushroom, topped with some creamy sauce. Exquisite! My favorite sweet crepe is still the Classic — banana + strawberry + Nutella — as that was how I was introduced to crepes on the streets of Paris. BTW, even though they have specially designed boxes for carryout orders, definitely try to eat there if possible. I’ve taken out crepes, and the savory ones inevitably do get soggy even though they smartly drizzled the sauce inside on the filling instead of outside on the crepes. Now the crêperie desperately needs some serious signage!! In my opinion, neither the sticker logo on the glass door nor the standing chalkboard is going to be enough to draw passerby customers. A signage on top of the awning would go a long way.

Crepe-Madame Catering – Menu with Prices – 160 14th St, San Francisco

Catered crepes sound delicious with just the name, and Crepe Madame definitely did not disappoint! They had 4 staff members each manning 2 crepe stations, so 8 people at time (or well, 8 crepes at the time – for those who order more than one at once :P). Two choices of savory crepes and four sweet crepes on their menu this time. I got the La Tour Eiffel which included 4 pieces of roasted turkey, a generous amount of cheddar cheese, ratatouille (vegetable mix with a hint of spiciness), lemon vinaigrette, spinach and spicy mayo sauce. The other savory crepe was La San Francisco (I love these names!), which looked like the vegetarian option. I’m sure they would also be willing to accommodate custom orders too. I was way too full after the savory crepe to get a sweet one, but I definitely want to try one next time! The staff were super friendly and enthusiastic, making sure to confirm my order and to ask if adding spicy sauce was okay before doing so. They also brought a beautiful chalkboard of their menu today and who doesn’t enjoy pretty chalk work? ? Overall, delicious and super filling lunch!

Cafe Marcel Creperie & Espresso Bar – Menu with Prices – 2281 N Oracle Rd, Tucson

I stopped for breakfast here on this morning on a whim, and I’m so glad I did! It’s a cozy, casual little breakfast spot serving crepes and coffee. The menu is limited — crepes only! — so only come here if you’re definitely in the mood for crepes. This is definitely a case of doing only one thing and doing it very well, though. They do both savory and sweet crepes, which will likely be able to satisfy people all along the savory vs. sweet breakfast spectrum. I got the “Stuffed Frenchie,” which straddles the sweet-savory line by combining egg and brie inside the crepe, and then being topped with cinnamon, maple syrup, strawberries, and whipped cream. I also added bacon at the suggestion of the woman working the counter, and it was a great addition. My breakfast companion got the “Olivia,” which is their most popular crepe. It’s strawberry and Nutella, topped with chocolate, granola, powdered sugar, and whipped cream. She also added banana to it. Both crepes were very good — the Stuffed Frenchie felt more like a solid breakfast, while the Olivia felt like a decadent dessert. Cafe Marcel also has an assortment of tea and coffee drinks, including a delicious nutella mocha. It’s a great pairing with the Olivia!

GOYaYa’s Coffee + Crepes Menu with Prices 504 North St, Baton Rouge

Stayed in downtown BR for business with a few colleagues and frequented this joint almost every am for breakfast because their ingredients were fresh and made to order in a timely manner. After 3 days of eating there I picked up one of their punch cards cuz I noticed it on the counter. They never offered it to me which I found to be a bit disappointing. The card has 2 rows of punches. We loaded up the card quickly for a free crepe on the first row so we were able to get a free crepe one morning. Yippee, since we were on a budget. We only had another few days in town and our punch card was almost full on the second row so I figured we would get another free crepe by the end of our stay. Not so. The next day, the guy behind the counter took my card, threw it away and gave me a new one with different punches. It was then I realized the cards have one line for breakfast crepes and one line for lunch crepes. Because I had ordered a lunch crepe every morning and my 2 friends had ordered breakfast crepes, the card was full for a free bfast but not for lunch. I asked why I got a new card, he explained the difference of the punches. That bummed me out because I was in town for only a few more days and was hoping to get that last free crepe. I mean, who doesn’t want that free thing when your card is getting punched? We dine there every morning, they know we are out of town and won’t be around to fill the card with both bfast and lunch and still pull this prank. Really? My go to crepe was the ratatouille without cheese, add chicken. Should be a swap out of protein, in my opinion because they put so much cheese in the original crepe, but they charge an extra $1.50 for the chicken even though there is no cheese. The owner, however, is a great guy so I would continue to go back if I lived in town.
