Ambience. B. Service. A Food. A- Price. A This special chicken is part of this Super Express convenience store on fort Gordon highway. Located 1237 Gordon Hwy across from Capri Lounge/ Executive Inn. Clean convenience store open fall 2017. The Krispy Krunchy Chicken franchise is an interesting concept offering good crispy fried lightly spicy chicken in this location. Very clean. Bright lights. Friendly service. The guy behind counter offered me a breast chicken tender which was very moist and crunchy. This was not spicy. However, I ordered 2 thighs and thought the crunch was great and meat was moist. The biscuit was nice a crunchy I the outside and moist inside. I liked to add extra honey if they had any. Too bad they didn’t have available all side. Only one jambalaya, fries and several mashed potatoes. I was wanting to try the dirty rice and the fried rice balls which they didn’t have….sigh. Wonder if there’s just not enough foot traffic and business to build up this franchise. I would go back for lunch in afternoon in future or go around 4:30- 5:30 when hopefully they just fried for the evening. Nice crunchy and hot! I’m a fan right now for the chicken and biscuit! Mmm!

Krispy Krunchy Chicken – Menu with Prices – 2610 Delk Rd SE, Marietta

I read an article on a site claiming Krispy Krunchy Chicken was the best fried chicken chain. I noticed there was a KKC in a Shell gas station convenience store near where I live. Since I have a fondness for Brother’s convenience store fried chicken in NOLA I decided to check this place out. It’s pretty delicious. The woman working behind the counter was super friendly. I got two pieces of dark meat fried chicken, it comes with a biscuit and she offered a sauce. The chicken has a great crispy crust that has a nice cajun seasoning on it. The meat is super tender with a little bit of cajun seasoning flavor. The biscuit is coated with honey so it’s delightfully sweet but not overly sweet. I didn’t get sides this time but will be back to check those out soon.

Krispy Krunchy Chicken – Menu with Prices – 4065 Fowler St, Fort Myers

2 stars for service, 4 stars for food. We were here at 9:30 on a Thursday night. They are open until midnight. Ordered (2)2-piece chicken combos, was told it came with a side, a biscuit and a drink. When we got to the window, the girl told us they were making fresh fries for us and it would be a few minutes. We did not order fries as our side. I told her this and she said the combos come with fries and we were charged $2.00 each for the sides that we chose. What?! Okay, so we wait and about 5 mins later she comes back to the window and says the fryer is still filling with oil so it will take a long time for fries so do we want something else in its place. We never wanted fries to begin with so we ask for another rice & beans and mac & cheese (the sides we ordered and paid $2.00 each for). But why have they drained the fryer at 9:30 if they are opened until 12:00?? When we get home, we discovered that they must have been out of biscuits too because we had none but we did have an additional side of jambalaya. I guess they decided that was a good substitute for biscuits?? Again, it’s 9:30 and they are open for another 2.5 hours! The chicken was delicious!! Very crisp and crunchy, but still light. It’s not a thick, heavy breading. Seasoned perfectly, really good flavor! The rice & beans was okay, lacked that smoky meat flavor that it should have. The mac & cheese was fine, just your basic, average mac & cheese. Jambalaya was good, had some nice pieces of sausage and meat in it. I would have loved to comment on the biscuits, but we didn’t get any! The only advantage this place has over Popeye’s is that they stay open later, but if they start running out of food 2-3 hours before they close, then the advantage is gone. If I had the option of going to Popeyes, I would! While the chicken here is really good, the sides are no match for Popeyes!

Gordon’s Mix N Go – Menu with Prices – 2902 E 10th St, Indianapolis

5 stars just isn’t enough for Gordon’s. My wife and I have visited his store a few times with friends. Great little place near 10th and Rural and even better ice cream. However, I want to give a BIG shout out to Gordon’s for their mobile service. My organization hosted the Day of Innovation conference at Butler University this week. Gordon brought over his mobile ice cream cart to serve tasty treats during our lunch hour. Because of a wet and rainy forecast, we got moved inside. Gordon was able to bring his setup inside and his cones were a HUGE hit. Because of the longer food lines for lunch, some were even enjoying ice cream while waiting. We had about 10 flavors for guests to choose from. The Superman and Popcorn seemed were the crowd favorites. (I went with Chocolate Chip). If you are planning an event, call Gordon’s! Any event is better with ice cream. And it’s infinitely better with Gordon’s ice cream.

Krispy Crunchy Chicken – Menu with Prices – 1475 Dover Rd, Clarksville

It’s inside the Sudden Service gas station/convenience store. I read an article on USA Today about this chain, Krispy Krunchy Chicken, with over 2000 locations over the U.S., mainly in gas stations or convenience stores. It is surprisingly good, with a crisp, yet light and flaky skin. I could just barely make out the cajun seasoning. It’s not very spicy at all. For a quick fried chicken fix, I’m coming back here. I like Popeye’s, but it’s waaayyy farther from me.

The Jambalaya Shoppe O’Neal Ln Menu with Prices 2565 O’Neal Ln, Baton Rouge

We had never had jambalaya before and definitely wanted to try it on our trip to the South. We were so happy that we decided to try it here as the food was amazing. My husband had the Jambalaya Bowl which came with a roll. It was piled high with rice, huge chunks of chicken, and tasty sausage. I got the Jambalaya dinner which came with your choice of two sides and a roll. I chose the red beans and potato salad as my sides and they were very good. It must be a local favorite as there were several guests in there enjoying the food and there was a steady line of to-go orders. We highly recommend that you go here if you want some good jambalaya.

Corporate Deli Menu with Prices 600 108th Ave NE Suite 10, Bellevue

I got the Spicy Chicken Teriyaki to go for lunch today. It was actually quite nice. The chicken is moist and tender with a crisp sear on the outside and is packed with flavor. It’s one of the few places where the “spicy” was actually spicy(I’m Indian and I love my spice). The portions are huge with generous amounts of chicken and a massive mound of rice. I wish the rice was seasoned because the thick spicy sauce doesn’t mix in quite evenly. I added some soy sauce to the rice just for seasoning. It also comes with a simple side salad and you can pick between ranch and Italian dressing. Over all a super quick value for money meal. Nothing fancy, just plain solid grub.

Church’s Chicken – Menu with Prices – 4780 E 13th St N, Wichita

Quick take: One of the best national chain fried chicken restaurants. No reason to eat the trash the colonel is slinging. Unlike Donna G. I’ll be reviewing the food, not whether or not this particular place takes coupons. I mean give me a break! Anyway, it’s probably been 25 years since I last had Church’s. Popeye’s has done a commendable job in taking its place because we all know KFC is wack. KFC’s chicken is greasy, their sides are bland and fake, and their biscuits are the worst. Popeye’s has delicious sides and sauces and we all know their biscuits are the bomb. However, Church’s has always held a special place in my heart. Besides my grandma’s homemade chicken, it was the fried chicken I grew up eating. I was excited to see a location was opening up in Wichita. Stopped by for lunch and grabbed a 3-piece mixed, spicy (of course) with a side of okra and a biscuit. That chicken was every bit as good as I remember it. Big pieces fried up nice and crispy and very little grease. The meat was juicy and had just the right kick of spice. Okra was very good. Crunchy breading and not soggy at all. Last but not least was the biscuit. So good! I honestly thought Popeye’s had the best biscuits on the market but these are hands down my favorite. They’re drop style so they’ve got that craggy exterior to catch the honey butter glaze they put on them. A side and dessert all in one, no extra butter needed! If you’re looking for some high quality, tasty chicken, Church’s has you covered.

Krispy Krunchy Chicken – Menu with Prices – 597 15th St, Oakland

Date: 6/26/2019 Time: 11:15 AM 66° Partly sunny I met the owner of this Krispy Krunchy Chicken. He handed me a menu and told me the soft opening would be in another half an hour so. Unfortunately, I could not wait as I had other business to tend to. This afternoon around 4PM I went in to order from the menu the items I wanted to try – the 2-pc. dark meat and the 5-pc. shrimp. Both items include a honey biscuit. Small side dish (jambalaya, red beans & rice, mac ‘n cheese or mashed potato & gravy) is $2.00 extra. I wanted the red beans & rice; they sold out. Okay, jambalaya, please. It’s cooking right now. The wait time is 20 minutes. No problem; I will have two mash & gravy. The order is to go. There is no place to sit and dine in, unless one chooses to stand at the two counter tops by the windows. Krispy Krunchy Chicken is fast food for takeouts to go. Specialties: fried chicken (choice of dark meat, mixed or white meat), fried shrimp, fried fish, wings (choice with bone or boneless), side dishes mentioned above and French fries. They also have fried chicken sandwiches. The wait time for my order was about 20 minutes. A few customers after me received their food order before me. I don’t do a straight up tripping and create a scene. Not my style and/or character to raise hell in a newly opened business. The employees knew I was waiting for a while and they were profusely apologizing for the delay. No worries. They were kind enough to comp me with a fried chicken drumstick, one extra piece of fried shrimp and a third piece of fried chicken with the two piece chicken meal. The cashier did not charge me extra for the two small containers of mash & gravy. I believe it was an aim to please gesture. I like that and it pays to be pleasant and nice. It was no big deal that they forgot to ask me if I needed some sauce to go with the shrimp. I had leftover cocktail sauce from another outing in my fridge at home. The fried chicken drumstick was “krispy/krunchy”, but a tad salty. I peeled off the battered fried crust and the chicken infused with a seasoning itself was moist and delicious. At this time, I am leaving this place a three star rating. The actual rating is 3.5 stars. Krispy Krunchy Chicken has to grow on me. Thus, pending another two visits in the future to this fast food place might result in a four star rating. Finally, they are opened everyday from 10 AM to 10 PM. The neighborhood is sketchy in the evening, so take precautionary measures when in the area. Parking is also problematic during the day. From my perspective, Krispy Krunchy Chicken is another convenient place for federal, state and city employees working nearby to get a quick lunch.

Borgfeld Bistro – Menu with Prices – 856 E Borgfeld Dr, San Antonio

Awesome staff! We had not tried this place and it was a last minute decision. Even though we walked in 40 min before closing and they were cleaning up the dining area they were very pleasant and had no issue with taking an order. The dining area was extremely clean and it was nice you could see into the kitchen as well. We placed an order of triple delight, general chicken, pan fried dumplings, fried rice and steamed rice. It did not take long and we were on our way. The triple family was excellent, it would not have hurt to add a couple more shrimp though. The generals chicken was great. We ordered extra spicy and it was pretty good ( they also threw in a side of additional sauce to make sure it was spicy enough. The dumplings were really good pan fried and perfect. The only down note was the fried rice as it seemed kinda bland. We will definitely be back!

Louisiana Famous Fried Chicken – Menu with Prices – 1515 S Vine Ave, Tyler

I stopped here for lunch. I passed by this place a few times and was curious. I love good fried chicken and cajun food. So, I got the fried chicken combo #1 and a small seafood gumbo, 16oz. The fried chicken was a pleasant surprise, crunchy crust, tender and juicy inside. It was hot and tasted fresh out of the fryer. It was also a little spicy. Not too hot but definitely spicier than most! I wanted a side of dirty rice but it was cooking and not ready yet. So I got a side of cole slaw. It was your basic cole slaw, pretty good. I also got a small gumbo. The gumbo had a dark roux base, lots of veggies, the trinity, onion, bell pepper, and celery, also with tomato and okra. It had a good amount of shrimp, chicken, and sausage. It had rice in the bottom of the container. The gumbo was a hit as well. It had a great flavor and was also a little spicy. Again not too hot that you couldn’t enjoy the flavor, but definitely got the sinuses cleared out! The atmosphere was very basic, red covered both benches, black table tops, orange painted walls. Fairly clean establishment, pretty friendly folks. Not a lot of interaction with the staff except taking your order and bringing your food. If you like fried chicken and are looking for something other than KFC, Church’s, or Popeye’s, give this place a try. You may find a new favorite.

Crawford’s Pass – Menu with Prices – 259 N Pass Ave, Burbank

I came here upon the recommendation of a friend who is a fan of their other location. This spot opened up a little while ago within the same shopping center as the Vons so there’s a lot of parking. Order food at the bar and they’ll bring your food to you. Food is cheap, and they have great deals on beer (super affordable). They have good fried chicken! I really enjoyed it – nice and crunchy on the outside but still moist and tender on the inside. I didn’t get the spicy “Uncle Mitch” option which is popular, but I got a plate which came with a choice of side, a pickle, and a slice of white bread. I chose the Mac n cheese which I personally wouldn’t recommend, it had strange seasoning and wasn’t as cheesy or moist as I would have liked. The establishment itself is very dark and feels unwelcoming. Very difficult to read the menu even and I don’t have particular bad eyesight. Typical dive bar vibes but more on the questionable side than the kitschy side. The interior felt outdated. However, there was a pool table and a TV to view the game which was nice. The staff was kind but not attentive, and the other guests at the bar were much older and already drunk around 5pm on a weeknight. Overall, good chicken and a cheap deal, but not a fun place to hang out.

Country Junction – Menu with Prices – 4823 NC-55, Durham

Came here for an early brunch with a party of 2. The place wasn’t very decorative but it was a homey heartwarming mom and pops place. We were greeted with big smiles and felt right at home. For food, we ordered two breakfast plates: 2 eggs scrambled, hashbrowns, fried chicken, biscuit 2 eggs over easy, grits, country fried steak, croissant Eggs: Scrambled eggs came out very pretty in a nice uniform yellow. They also weren’t dry at all. Eggs over easy came out exactly the way I like them, too: egg whites fully cooked, but the yolk barely cooked. Carbs: Grits were very smooth and not chunky at all. They came with only a little bit of salt, and some butter, which is how I prefer mine. You can always add more salt, but harder to take it away. The Hashbrown was nice and crunchy on the outside, and soft on the inside. Both were sizable proportions. Meats: Chicken was great. This was just like the hashbrown: crunchy on the outside, soft on the inside. Steak was a little on the small end, but still full of flavor. Definitely preferred the chicken though. Gluten: Biscuit and Croissant were standard. The food was really good for the value, and the place was heartwarming. Definitely recommend and would come here again!
