This is a Cajun style fried chicken joint located inside the 99 Ranch Supermarket good court that recently opened. I tried the fried chicken skewer. 1 for $1.29 or 2 for $1. The seasoning was good. It was kind of krispy, somewhat krunchy. The skewer had white meat, not dark. It was likely a chicken tender. The was no skin. They put a diced onion inbetween each chicken piece on the skewer which was a nice surprise. You couldn’t see it because it was also battered with the chicken. I liked it. The next time I’m inside 99 Ranch I’ll try another menu item.

Jestine’s Kitchen – Menu with Prices – 251 Meeting St, Charleston

Yup fried chicken another real deal in the south. Super hot fresh fried, thin crispy crunchy skin seasoned just perfectly for you to eat as is or add any hot sauce. Juicy inside and not overdone for sure. Only thing I wish there was one more piece since the chicken thigh and drum were from smaller chickens, which means more tender meat. Dark meat of course. Sweet tea, probably best I’ve had. I mean people maybe think I’m crazy, I do have some experience with sweet tea from Texas and up the Midwest mostly from bbq spots. I would usually self serve mix half sweet tea and half regular tea to have a good balance. Justine’s sweet was balanced well tea flavor and hint of sweet, perfect, refill we’re nonstop never needed to ask. Exceptional service by Mallory. Usual sides, fried corn cob was first for me, a bit dried and missed the sweetness of steamed to boil methods. Collard greens clean and healthy. Cole slaw nice tart vinegar. Okra fried yup with fried oyster and good horseradish spice on cocktail sauce. Will be back for a po’ boy!

Slim Chickens Menu with Prices 8170 W I-40 Frontage Rd, Amarillo

Really delicious! I didn’t know that this place had even opened. Went here for dinner and it wasn’t too busy. We were able to find seating in the little patio. It’s a little noisy since the restaurant is adjacent to the freeway but it’s nice to sit outside when the weather is nice. I ordered the meal with the 4 piece chicken strips. It comes with fries and a drink. I also tried the Mac and cheese. The chicken strips were great. They’re not too extremely crispy and the breading is light. The fries were delicious and they even have ranch seasoning that you can put on them. For my drink I got a lemonade and it was great! The Mac and cheese was one of the best I’ve had from a fast food restaurant. You get to choose as many dipping sauces as you want for your chicken strips. I got the ranch, spicy bbq, and buffalo. My favorite was the spicy bbq. The ranch is good quality ranch.

Louisiana Famous Fried Chicken – Menu with Prices – 1515 S Vine Ave, Tyler

I stopped here for lunch. I passed by this place a few times and was curious. I love good fried chicken and cajun food. So, I got the fried chicken combo #1 and a small seafood gumbo, 16oz. The fried chicken was a pleasant surprise, crunchy crust, tender and juicy inside. It was hot and tasted fresh out of the fryer. It was also a little spicy. Not too hot but definitely spicier than most! I wanted a side of dirty rice but it was cooking and not ready yet. So I got a side of cole slaw. It was your basic cole slaw, pretty good. I also got a small gumbo. The gumbo had a dark roux base, lots of veggies, the trinity, onion, bell pepper, and celery, also with tomato and okra. It had a good amount of shrimp, chicken, and sausage. It had rice in the bottom of the container. The gumbo was a hit as well. It had a great flavor and was also a little spicy. Again not too hot that you couldn’t enjoy the flavor, but definitely got the sinuses cleared out! The atmosphere was very basic, red covered both benches, black table tops, orange painted walls. Fairly clean establishment, pretty friendly folks. Not a lot of interaction with the staff except taking your order and bringing your food. If you like fried chicken and are looking for something other than KFC, Church’s, or Popeye’s, give this place a try. You may find a new favorite.

Stella’s Pizza – Menu with Prices – 10890 S Eastern Ave #108, Henderson

Great taste and great service. Visited Stella’s for their grand opening as I have enjoyed being a customer to their original business Diced Kitchen. While it still maintains the same great taste of Diced, Stella’s seems to be a dive for the business into more “sinful” food rather than the fit-conscious meals offered at Diced. Their carnivore pizza and ranch chicken pizza both prove this with the delightfully unapologetic ingredients and sauces, making them deliciously primal meals. While on the other hand, the Blue cheese with olives pizza “black and blue” proved that they can also do a higher delicacy pizza to appeal to whichever pallette you are looking for. All three of these were my favorite pizzas offered, all excellent on their own way. Not to downplay the rest of their menu from which many items such as the Caprese pizza and even their standard pepperoni pizza were excellent in their own right. I am glad to see Diced expand with Stella’s pizza. I am a huge fan of their customer service driven business which is one of the reasons I highly recommend them. Truly excellent customer service is hard to come by so consistently but both Diced and Stella’s provide it in abundance with a personable touch.

Thin Man Brewery – Menu with Prices – 492 Elmwood Ave, Buffalo

I’ve been to Thin Man once before for drinks and saw some of the food they served here and knew I needed to come back. I’m happy to say that both their beer and food are great! I came in a party of six on a Saturday around 9pm and were seated at a table just off the bar. Now, I have to say that I don’t like the acoustics in here, the ambiance is too loud. We did have a big party next to us but even after they left, it’s still very noisy and is hard to hear the wait staff and the people sitting across the table. I wish they would have seated us outside or up on the balcony, but I digress. As soon as we were seated, a pretty young waitress came over and took our drink orders. She was a bit soft-spoken but incredibly nice and attentive to our table. We did have trouble getting her when we were ready to cash out, but again, not a huge deal. As for the food, it is fairly standard bar fare, so there is something for everyone’s palette. So I’ve been her before and saw someone order the Chicken Bacon Ranch sandwich and thought it looked incredible. My order was the Chicken Bacon Ranch sandwich with fried chicken (they give you a choice of having your chicken fried or grilled, which is awesome!), with the standard side of their house-made BBQ chips. I thought the time from when we ordered to when our food arrived was very reasonable, maybe about 25 minutes for all six meals to come out at the same time. My sandwich was fantastic! The huge, thick piece of fried chicken was juicy, hot, and the breading provided a great crunchy texture. The Turano brioche bun was toasted but still soft and delicious. The amount of ranch dressing on top was perfect: it didn’t drench the chicken but was plentiful enough to soak into the bun and cover the top of the huge piece of chicken. The spinach, tomato, and onion were plentiful as well but the thick pieces of pork belly (or bacon) underneath the chicken elevated this sandwich. The pork belly was cooked perfectly, in my opinion, as it wasn’t crispy, but more chewy, playing off the crunchiness of the chicken. There also seemed to be a little seasoning on the pork belly itself but it wasn’t overpowering, just enough. The side of house-made BBQ chips were outstanding as well. A little more thick cut but still good and crunchy and were plenty flavorful with the BBQ seasoning. This meal was sized perfectly. I ate the sandwich and chips and felt perfectly satiated. Everyone else in the party were incredibly happy with their meals too. One person from our group upgraded to a side of french fries instead of the house-made chips and ultimately were disappointed. They felt the fries were a bit too salty, but they loved the burger they got. Also, I thought that prices for the beer and food was pretty reasonable. I’m very impressed with Thin Man. Not only are the drinks tasty, but their food is too! The only real gripe I have is that the inside is too loud, making it hard to have a conversation with people. If I could, I’d rate Thin Man a 3.5 out of 5, but I have no qualms rounding the score up to a 4. Keep pumping out tasty beer and a good, consistent food menu Thin Man Brewery!

Moon and Flower House – Menu with Prices – 40-26 Union St, Flushing

Interior: 4/5 Pretty cute space! The combination of wooden tables, comfy couch chairs, and chalkboard like wall makes this a great, comfy place to enjoy a quick snack after school/work! This cafe mainly sells chicken burgers and other small appetizers! Service: 4/5 Overall, the girl was quick in attending to us. Service was good except: We had asked if we could have the banana float at the end and she said we could order it then. But in the end, we changed our minds and was about to get the check when she stopped us and told us our float was ready. It would have been fine if they weren’t lying. We ended up waiting a couple extra minutes before it finally came out. So hm, that was pretty sly of them. Food- Value: 3/5 The price looked pretty cheap upon first ordering, at $7 for a rice burger. However, proportion wise, the food is a bit smaller than what I imagined. Pineapple Chicken Skewers: $3.50 // 5/5 If you are expecting the skewers to look just like the photos with the peppers and pineapples and everything like me, don’t. I was left disappointed at how it looked like just a plain chicken skewer. However, to my pleasant surprise, it ended up tasting so bomb! They make the chicken so well here! They should advertise it in their name, man. The chicken was sooo juicy, tender, and flavorful! There’s a slight tinge of pineapple in the sauce. And ok, I forgive them since they also gave a small piece of pineapple in the end. Rice Burger: $7.00 // 2/5 Wasn’t a fan of ramen burgers so I decided to give rice burgers a try. Not a fan of them too! The burger came SUPER oily. The rice was so crumbly, I ended up just dumping the burger on my plate anyways and eating it like chicken over rice. Comes with a tomato and lettuce! I, of course, only really enjoyed their delicious grilled chicken! Banana Float: $7.00 // 2/5 It’s nothing special. I wouldn’t recommend. It’s just bananas with Napoleon ice cream. The presentation was nice though! Why is this place called Moon & Flower? It should be called Juicy & Tender Chicken or something! I’m giving them higher stars because of that chicken! I would go back solely for their chicken. TIP: Even though you sit to eat, you pay by the cashier at the end!

Ocean Park Pizza – Menu with Prices – 2727 Ocean Park Blvd, Santa Monica

Is it true NYC Style Pizza: No…but heck I’m not in NYC anymore. Is it Good Pizza: Hell yeah. After many months of eating bad pizza here in the greater Los Angeles area, I think I have found a good pizza place. So much bad pizza in fact that they weren’t even worth Yelping about. So many places claiming NYC and Chicago Style Pizza…and none of them actually coming through on their promise…How about since you’re not located in either of those cities just claim good pizza (just a suggestion), because when you have lived in either of those cities you know what those pizzas are supposed to taste like (raised in Chicago and lived in NYC long enough to know what NYC pizza is supposed to taste like). I digress… The 14 inch pizza had a nice crisp crust…fresh toppings (well except for the jalapeños they were from a jar)…the crust was not too doughy (even though next time I will order with a thinner crust)…it was a hair thick for my taste. The sauce had a nice little zip. I also ordered some fried chicken…As a vegetarian I allow myself 2X a year where I will eat fried chicken (it is the one thing I had an issue giving up from being a carnivore). This was really good chicken I hate chicken breast, like a lot…I think it is dry and pretty tasteless but the very nice gentleman in the shop said “do me a favour and try these out, I know that fried chicken breasts are usually dry and have no flavour but these will surprise you”. Uhm yes wise pizza/chicken guy…they did surprise me…like a lot. This fried chicken is broasted…which makes it crisper, moister and super tender and supposedly a bit healthier. Regardless it was delicious and FRESH. The potato wedge thingy’s OMG…I could just eat an order of those…so tasty and not french fries…not just potato slices but heaven in a little paper bag. Did I mention the guy that was in the shop…may have been one of the owners was super dooper nice. And he of course was the chicken whisperer. The prices are completely fair for what you get…I will have some delicious leftovers for days!! YUM! Also the store front that I picked up from was not Ocean Park Pizza but it is inside Bud’s Deli…I was a little confused at first…It is in a little strip mall-There is a little parking lot so it is, easy in and out if you are just going to pick up a pizza. There spot also has a few tables and chairs inside in case you can’t wait to get your pizza home and eat it…fortunately for me I live less than a 5 minute drive away…I will be back very very very soon!!! Come here to get yummy eats and really super nice service. Thanks Pizza/Chicken Whisperer Guy!!!

Louisiana Fried Chicken – Menu with Prices – 549 West Side Ave, Jersey City

The fried chicken was so juicy and tender. The batter wasn’t too salty and had a wonderful crunch. Made fresh and was cooked to perfection. I’m only reviewing the fried chicken and the customer service. Both were amazing!!! Much better option then Popeyes or KFC. They are making the chicken to order here. And a wonderful place to order for a party. 20 whole wings-$24 10 piece dark-$10. Good prices and great food. Went here today for lunch. I’m so upset this is my first time here. And a week before the super bowl. I could have had juicy and tender fried chicken for my super bowl party. I placed an order over the phone. I spoke with Jimmy who was an amazing guy and very patient. I didn’t know the menu and he was real friendly. I ordered 6 pieces of chicken for me and my cousin’s worker. I asked if they made it fresh he said yes but it takes 15 min. He made a fresh order for us which was very nice of him. I passed it up at first but it’s right on the corner of Lexington and west side avenue. Small place where there are a few seats to dine in. I met Jimmy in person and he was just as nice in person as he was on the phone. When I brought the chicken back me and my coworker devoured all of it and was looking for more.

Slim Chickens – Menu with Prices – 2711 S Louise Ave, Sioux Falls

I got the opportunity to sit down at Slim Chickens last night. I had tried it once prior, but taking it away and eating it 10 minutes after ordering doesn’t do it justice. We tried out the Cajun Chicken Sandwich and their wings, with the french fries and Parmesan garlic chips. The wings were nice and plump and well coated in sauce, a far cry from Buffalo Wild Wings. The chips were crisp and very flavorful. My chicken sandwich was amazing. It is a simple sandwich but the pickles and the crunchy onion bits were a welcome addition. The chicken was moist and I can’t wait to get it again. If you have the opportunity, dip your fries in their ranch. It was a little tangy with a good consistency. Definitely not your average ranch. I am excited to try it again and again!

Ohana Hawaiian BBQ – Menu with Prices – 2402 W Walnut St, Garland

Ohana Hawaiian is decent food, but I’m just personally not a fan. I would probably spend my money elsewhere in the future. – Spam Musubi: An order of this comes with 2 musubis. My issue with this is that the spam was ehh (didn’t have much flavor beyond the original saltiness), sitting on top of a BED of rice (like we’re talking more than half a cup of rice lol), and then wrapped in seaweed. I love spam musubis, but this was just A-OK. + Hawaiian Fried Rice: I’d give this a 3.5 or 4*. If you like pineapple, you may like this. It has diced pineapples, diced spam, egg, and it’s tossed with rice. The rice was fairly bland, so make sure you’re picking up a piece of spam to get some flavor! / Short Rib Plate: Okay, so I saw that EVERYONE was raving about this plate. I love galbi/short ribs, so I was down. Ordered this, but the meat is cut pretty thin. Flavor was yum, though. I don’t care for macaroni salad, so I can’t speak to that much. The veggies were OK (not much flavor). It comes with white rice, or you can swap for fried rice only. Would I get this again? Prob not, lol. Overall, I just wasn’t impressed. ? But the service was nice! ?

Eirinis Gyros & More – Menu with Prices – 4360 S Alameda St, Corpus Christi

My husband and I were looking to try something different for dinner so we had Eirinis delivered through Favor. We had never tried their food before so we were hoping for the best because a lot of Corpus Christi restaurants have been a huge disappointment. My husband ordered the Jaws fish sandwich and I got the Chicken Souvlaki on Pita Sandwich. We both got fries and we also got an order of onion rings and an order of fried pickles. My husband said it was the best fish sandwich he’s ever had. The portions are very generous and you can tell it’s quality, fresh made food. My chicken Souvlaki was SOOO good. Moist grilled chicken breast and the lightest, fluffiest pita I have ever had. The onion rings were crispy and light and delicious. The fried pickles were the only SLIGHTLY disappointing thing only because they were very, VERY salty but that didn’t keep me from grabbing one after another. The ranch dressing they sent with our order was amazing. You can tell it’s made in house. This was a very happy find for us and we will be back again very soon. Couldn’t recommend them enough.

Little Kaiping Cantonese BBQ – Menu with Prices – 4011 # 128, E Renner Rd, Richardson

Wow, we just came back from a dinner at Little Kaiping and we are so glad reviews steered us their way. I mainly was interested in the Peking duck. I’m really the only one in my family who eats it and so being able to order 1/2 of one was great for me. Having read some great things about the duck made me curious, too. We had some fried and some steamed dumplings and some soups to start with and then ordered some chicken fried rice, chicken with snow peas and five treasure vegetables with the duck for the rest of the table. The dumplings, both steamed and fried, were filled nicely with chicken and vegetables and were seasoned well. Really nice. The egg drop soup and hot and sour soup were very good as well. The duck came out nicely timed and presented beautifully, a mound of sliced duck with crispy, golden brown skin, surrounded by a ring of more of the same. The meat was tender and seasoned perfectly and the skin was unbelievably crispy. Served with steamed buns, green onions and oyster sauce, it made for a wonderful meal. I tried some of all the other dishes as well and they were just as good. My whole party had a great meal and plenty of left overs to have another meal tomorrow. I also have to add a few words about the service, which was probably the best service I’ve ever had at a Chinese restaurant. Very friendly and attentive, making you feel at home without ever being bothersome or disturbing. We definitely will come back and if you like Cantonese food, you need to go as well!!!
