This place is pretty average. Came in for lunch on a Friday around 12 and it was not too busy. Staff was super friendly and understanding the menu was easy. The quality of food was pretty good. And there are lots of options to choose from when it comes to protein and sides. However, it’s three stars for a reason… biggest flaw, 13 dollars for a bowl of poke and the portion size is below average. They make sure to shake and level out the scoop of protein until they put it in your bowl. You get three scoops, but each scoop is the size of a half golf ball. Literally 2 bites and the protein is gone. Anyways, another flaw is there is only 3 raw fish options to choose from. There are more cooked options which is a plus, but poke is supposed to be raw fish… Right? Over all, this place is just average. They have potential to be so much more. Increase your portion sizes or lower your prices. I paid $13 plus a tip and left still a bit hungry (I’m an average guy that usually gets full with your average portion size). Unfortunately I don’t think I’ll be coming back or recommending any friends/family their way unless us customers can get a bigger bang for our buck.

Yummy Poke Pensacola, FL – Menu with Prices – 5046 Bayou Blvd, Pensacola

Order: Build your own poke bowl -Base: Sushi Rice -Protein: Spicy salmon (raw) and Ahi (raw) -Sides/Mix ins: spicy imitation crab, edamame, seaweed salad -Sauce: spicy lime ponzu and spicy mayo -Topping: fish eggs -Crunch: shredded nori Average price for a poke bowl (~$11 starting price) I had only the 2 scoop protein bowl and it was more than enough for myself! They don’t skimp on any items so it is very worth the price. (They put so much imitation crab, it was as much as another scoop of protein!). The fish was fresh and not “fishy” tasting. Only con I would say to the bowl I made is that the spicy salmon and spicy imitation crab were already very saucy, so when i added in spicy mayo it made my bowl TOO saucy. I would say either omit spicy mayo if you get any “spicy” proteins or to tell them to do a light drizzle. Overall, I would definitely go there again!

Poke fish sushi Menu with Prices 3500 Washtenaw Ave E-4, Ann Arbor

Having lived in California my entire life, I didn’t think I’d be able to find a solid poke spot in the Midwest, but Poke Fish proved me wrong. Poke Fish offers two bowl sizes that are priced decently for the actual bowl size (2 scoops of protein at $9.95, 3 scoops at $11.95). The base options include rice (brown or white or mix of both), spring mix or opt for a combination. Enjoy a limited, yet fresh selection of three types of protein (tuna, salmon and yellowtail) or cooked protein options for those may be wary about raw fish. Top your bowl with endless sauces and unlimited topping options, aside from the extra $2 for a scoop of avocado. They also have a limited number of signature bowls for first-timers that may feel overwhelmed by the build-your-own concept. The service is always friendly and speedy! The biggest pros here vs other poke places in the area include: – limited, yet fresher fish options – large parking lot, which makes parking easy – spacious restaurant for larger parties – no extra cost for toppings (aside from avocado) – if you don’t want a bowl, you can order a sushi burrito (white or brown rice roll) – if you want to dine here with others that don’t like fish in general, there are other food options – the BYO concept is friendly to those with dietary restrictions

Square Root Poké – Menu with Prices – 23119 Colonial Pkwy #C9, Katy

Square Root poke is the perfect place to go if you have a group with individuals who are okay with raw fish, and individuals who are not. They offer several menu options from signature poke bowls, to DIY poke bowls, to hot made to order entrees, so there’s something for everyone to enjoy. Their hot entrees are only offered in one size, and the options include Teriyaki Glazed Salmon, Miso Glazed Salmon, Unagi Don (Seared Eel Rice Bowl), Curry, and Chicken Udon Noodle Soup. Prices for their entrees range from $10.25 to $12.75, and all of the rice bowls come with your choice of a base, 3 mix-ins, and your choice of sides. Their poke bowls comes in two sizes: $10.25 for 2 scoops of protein and $12.75 for three, and for my visit I went with their DIY small bowl. Below are my choices: Base – 1/2 white rice, 1/2 spring mix Protein – 1 scoop tuna, 1 scoop salmon Sauce – sesame shoyu Mix-Ins – edamame pears, cucumber, scallion, masago Sides – crab salad, seaweed salad Drizzle – Unagi sauce Sprinkles – furikake, sesame, crisped onion, crisped garlic For the price, I feel like I got a good amount of food, and that they didn’t undercut me on the amount of protein they scooped. The food was good, and I would definitely return in the future to try their other bases such as their edamame noodles.

WaiWai Poke Bar and Café – Mobile – Menu with Prices – 6808 Airport Blvd Suite C, Mobile

Definitely on my list for go-to poke now!! So first off, I want to state that i’m not usually a poke fan. I’ve tried a few poke places from different areas and states and just never found the place that I enjoyed. Although i’ve had decent experiences at other ones, I still decided to try this new poke place that popped up. So they have a build your own bowl option or a list of signature bowls that you can choose from. Even with the signature bowls you can pick whatever base, 5 toppings, and unlimited add-ons with it! What I ordered: “Aloha” [1 scoop marinate salmon,1 scoop marinate tuna, sesame oil, sea salt, cilantro, red onion, and ginger wasabi sauce] with rice base Toppings: edamame, kimchi, seaweed salad, sweet egg, orange tobiko Add-Ons: nori, crispy garlic, light drizzle of eel sauce The marinated salmon and tuna are to die for!! The fish was fresh and the marinade was delicious yet light where you could still enjoy the fish taste. It may not be for everyone, but they do let you sample the fish beforehand to see if you like it! With the aloha, I really liked the combination of the signature bowl. The ginger wasabi sauce wasn’t too strong. The size of the bowl is also very generous with just the 2 scoop protein. And the toppings I chose were good and I felt went well with the bowl – I really loved the kimchi (very flavorful and much better than I would have expected!) Our very friendly poke maker (didn’t catch his name) recommended the italian soda with ice cream sorbet to us -lychee + raspberry; definitely an interesting drink since it has the italian soda. It was sweet, light, and refreshing! tl;dr: Overall the experience was great – great server, great food, great atmosphere. I would definitely go again and will recommend to my other friends. Check the pics out!!

Pokelicious – Menu with Prices – 7414 W 119th St, Overland Park

Best poke restaurant in town! So many options to choose from- fish, sauces, and toppings. I made my own bowl with the sushi rice and the different salmon (smoked, spicy, etc) options. It’s obvious they use extremely fresh fish and toppings that are flavorful! They make all the sauces by hand and they have korean bbq and tofu bowls as well for those who dont like poke. They also serve local kombucha and even free fruit/veggie infused water. I always worry about portion sizes with poke places, however pokelicious gave me plenty of food and i could barely finished my bowl. The atmosphere of the restaurant is very cute and lively. Everything was very clean and the lighting was beautiful. It isn’t too big so it may be difficult to sit with a large group but they utilized the space very well to seat a lot of people. The staff was pleasant as well and they all seemed to love their jobs and the chef is super passionate about what he does and the food he serves. I highly recommend this place for those who want a good poke bowl for a great price and fast service!

Poke Burri Raleigh – Menu with Prices – 6613 Falls of Neuse Rd, Raleigh

This was my second visit to Poke Burri. My first was a Yelp event, but I wanted to experience Poke Burri as a customer. First, I am addicted to Poke. It is a yummy treat that is somewhat healthy (depending on what you add/choose). Poke Burri is like many other Poke restaurants where they have some standard bowls or you can create your own. Of course, I prefer to create my own; Poke Burri allows you to select 1 protein, 3 veggies, 2 sauces and a topping. This seems very limited to me. There are other restaurants that offer a lot more for the same price (more sauces and a lot more toppings); some offer 2-3 scoops of protein (any combination) rather than just 1. I opted for spicy tuna (which TRULY lives up to its name), edamame, avocado, cucumber, 2 sauces (don’t remember which) and seaweed salad. Unlike most poke restaurants, the bowl isn’t prepared in front of you. It only took a few minutes to be done, but I am used to the bowl being created as I place my order. Not a biggie, just something to be aware of. Unfortunately, they don’t appear to have many topping options which I truly enjoy. The bowl was good, but it was SPICY. I prefer a zing rather than a burn, but I did enjoy the power of their spicy tuna. Not sure it is enough to bring me back, but I wanted to share my thoughts.

The Poké Company – Menu with Prices – 300 W Martin Luther King Jr Pkwy Suite 210, Des Moines

Poke bowl shops absolutely took over my former socal hometown like some kind of seafood epidemic to the point where you could find one on just about every block. I almost got sick of eating them after a while. Now Des Moines has its first dedicated poke bowl joint and I couldn’t be happier. For those curious on what the hell these things are. It’s pretty much a Chipotle for sushi lovers. Think of it as a big bowl with everything a sushi roll has. You pick the rice, the protein/fish, the toppings, and the sauce. All that gets put into a big bowl and you can eat it how you like, mix it all up or enjoy it top to bottom. There’s a few places around like Sushi a Go Go or Waterfront which serves similar bowls but there’s not as much variety or options to choose from. They are both decent options but Poke Co is a different experience. I picked out the salmon and spicy tuna on white rice base, mixed with the company sauce, tempura crunchies, green onion, pickled ginger, and some wasabi mayo. Everything was fresh and they do give you a decent portion of fish. The flavor of the company sauce was hard hitting and flavorful, kind of like a more savory soy sauce. For a wasabi lover like me, the wasabi mayo just married all that together perfectly. The one thing I really wished for was sushi rice rather than plain steamed white rice. I really think the slight sweet and tart flavor from seasoned rice would absolutely make this poke bowl perfect. Anyone who is a sushi lover should absolutely give it a shot. Check out the soda fountain for some really unique flavors too. The bowls are delicious, the service is top notch, and the ambiance is chill. It’s just an all around great place to visit.

Blue Ocean Poke Menu with Prices 2151 N Federal Hwy, Boca Raton

My friend and I try to get together at least 2 to 3 times a month for lunch to try new restaurants and different cuisines. This week was her turn and I have to admit she hit a homerun with Blue Ocean Poke. Tucked away in a shopping center on the southeast corner of Hillsboro and Federal is this 3 month old restaurant. From what I understand, poke originated Hawaii, made its way to California and then migrated east. The concept of creating your own poke bowl get your creative juices flowing and is a lot of fun. First, you choose your base of your bowl (brown rice, white rice, quinoa or lettuce). Then, you choose your protein (tuna, salmon, spicy tuna, shrimp or tofu). A small poke bowl is $9.99 and comes with one scoop of protein. I am a big eater and this was plenty for me. Once you have your base and protein chosen you delve into all of the sides and sauces they have to offer. I felt like I was going overboard, but the gentleman making my bowl kept shaking his head and telling me â??no, you get unlimited toppings and sauces.â? I canâ??t even remember all that I got but I know it was a base of white rice with spicy tuna. Then I added cucumbers, seaweed, jalapeños, radishes, spiral cut zucchini, eel sauce, spicy coconut sauce, fried shallots, crispy Nori and probably a few other things I forgot. My friend went with the salmon, brown rice and a multitude of other toppings and sauces. Both of us were very happy both with the company and our lunches. For first timers or those nervous about creating their own bowls, they do have three or four pre-designed bowls (Still made fresh to order though) that you can just order. I highly recommend a trip to Blue Ocean Poke and look forward to the opportunity for me to go visit again. Great job guys!

Choppa Poke – Menu with Prices – 716 State St, Santa Barbara

I was actually on my way to a different poke place when I found out that was closed/under construction. I was sad until I turned around and happened to see Choppa Poke right there! Made me so happy that I was still going to be having poke bowl tonight for dinner. I walked in and it was super clean. Really neat set up because they have rolled ice cream on one side and poke bowls on the other side. I have always wanted to try the rolled ice cream but I was only focused on dinner first so I will have to come back another time. Poke bowl was delicious. I had a small bowl, which is 2 protein scoops. The medium is 3 scoops and the large is 4. Just $2.00 extra for each additional scoop/size larger. I personally had spicy tuna and ahi tuna for my two protein scoops mixed with spicy garlic and spicy (something else) sauce (sorry I forget the names). I chose the “sushi rice” as I love sticky rice. Then I added on fried garlic, avocado, seaweed salad, edamame, and imitation crab. It was nice of the staff member to offer suggestions for toppings because I was not sure what sounded the best to put on it! There are plenty of spots to sit inside, or take it to go. Looks like you can also order takeout and get it delivered.

Poke Boba House – Menu with Prices – 510 S 13th St, Omaha

I’m excited that there’s finally poke in Omaha, and another option for boba. I hope that many more places open up to increase options. That being said, I’m being generous with 4 stars here because I want these places to succeed. However, if I’m comparing this place to somewhere in CA, then it’d be ranked at 3 stars. I got a 2 scoop bowl with rice, tuna, salmon and lots of toppings. Also a Thai tea boba. The food and boba were all pretty good, but nothing was great. The fish was fine, and toppings were all good. However, the employee squeezed way too much sauce onto the bowl, so the rice was saturated with it, which overwhelmed the overall flavor. Definitely monitor how much they sqeeze and let them know to stop when you want. The Thai tea was ok, and the boba itself was good. But here, just like most boba places in Omaha, they don’t have enough tea flavor in the drink. It’s too weak for me, but that’s really an issue with most places in town. Finally, I do feel like this place is a bit overpriced for the amount of food you get. It’s the only option downtown for poke, so that may play into it. Overall though, it’s an enjoyable experience and you should check it out.

Green Works – Menu with Prices – 176-37 Union Tpke, Flushing

So excited to have a Poke spot close by! Usually I’d be taking my chances eating left overs from my lunch at work; but no more 4 hour old poke for me!…yeah not one of my better moments. After my third encounter at Green Works, I think I can give a fair assessment of their Poke offerings. Customer service wise, everyone I’ve come into contact with has been welcoming and pleasant! My first order was a poke burrito which was good, however the fillings could’ve been spread out more. My bf ordered a bowl and his was way more filling. My second order was a bowl, a younger gentleman made it and it was amazing! Perfect portions, well cuts! I was happy. My third order was another bowl, this one not too happy with. Not a lot of fish in this one, definitely not thw same amount as the last bowls. I ordered carrots which I don’t usually do, and let’s just say they must’ve cut up two whole carrots. They must’ve made up for the lack of fish with excess carrots (see pics). I feel as if they may not be using a standard scope for the protein, so regardless of poke type; you’re receiving the same amount of fish. Overall consistency is key when opening a new place. Especially one that has switched hands as frequently as the Green Works location. I will miss Coffee Poke and their waffles but glad actual poke has landed! Three stars as there’s definitely room for improvement. But off to a decent start. Best of luck!

Poke Factory Menu with Prices 5950 North Point Pkwy, Alpharetta

We stopped by for lunch. Although I had had poke before at two other newly-opened chains, my friend had not. Like most poke restaurants, bowls come in three different sizes and you can order a bowl based on type or customize your own bowl. We asked how big the medium bowl was. The young lady behind the counter showed us the medium bowl and explained that the medium bowl was more expensive, not just because of the size of the bowl, but because you got two scoops of protein. If you opted for the large bowl, then you would get three scoops of protein. This was good information to know. While the poke bowls were good and we knew that we had eaten a good amount of food, it didnâ??t give us the same fulfilled (satiated?) feeling that a greasy hamburger and fries would. But thatâ??s not the restaurantâ??s fault. This is fresh, quality food.In addition to the poke bowls, this restaurant also has sushi and ramen. We did not try either; we thought that we should stick with the concept of the restaurant.
