I always like trying out new places and tasting a variety of food…but I ABSOLUTELY LOVE IT when I truly find a GEM Such as I discovered from my first and Will definitely not be the last; visit to eat lunch at Kelly’s tandoori Grill. I just want to say that you could smell the delicious aroma right when you walk in the door… That in itself says a lot about a place I don’t even know if I actually ever walked Into a restaurant that smelled like mom’s kitchen back home! Simply stated the food is authentic delicious and just Perfectly satisfies YOU… The price is super cheap I think compared to the quality of food and this is actually the first Buffet I have ever ate where I didn’t even have to go back for seconds because the first run was more than enough! I highly encourage you to go try this place out for yourself and you will love it I sure am glad I did and I will definitely be back thank you to Kelly’s tandoori Grill for the great food and service!!!

Supermercado E Taqueria Jalis – Menu with Prices – 6127 Albemarle Rd, Charlotte

Bang for your buck. Ok, so this is probably not the place you want to take your first date to or second or third BUT you can CHEAP delicious food for the really low. This is like the latino version of the dollar menu. Super cheap tacos, enchiladas, burritos etc… but they are pretty damn good. This is your regular mom + pop spot so please, DO NOT EXPECT fine dinning or even medium scale dinning. This is the place where you order cheap good tacos and you don’t ask questions. The place might not be the nicest to look at (rough) as the reviewer below me said but the food is pretty good and you can’t beat the price. This might not have the 100% authentic Mexican flavor that you are looking for but its pretty good. You might want to order out though, this is again NOT upscale/trendy/hipster kinda venue. But my husband and I love to order food from here.

Punjabi Rasoi London On – Menu with Prices – 1295 Highbury Ave N, London

Most authentic Indian food I’ve eaten in London, Ontario. The food is simply delicious and super affordable. Weather you choose to dine in or even decide to get take out, food tastes super fresh. It’s prices are really great for the quantity they serve and always puts me in a food coma right after which I don’t regret. The service is pretty fast as well and the place is well maintained. If you’re looking for a quick bite and nothing too fancy then this is your place

Taqueria El Asador – Menu with Prices – 7955 N Davis Hwy, Pensacola

Can I give this place a 4.5 star review?! or a 4.7?! I really would! This place is the best hole-in-the-wall Mexican food in the Panhandle! The only reason I would knock it down points is because I wish they would double-shell their tacos to prevent the taco from breaking while eating. It’s more sturdy this way. That, or they should invest in better quality tortillas! However, other than that… I have no complaints about this place! The service is excellent too; the employees really know how to use a grill! The meat is sooo fresh and has that smokey/grilled flavor you yearn for in meat, especially in their asada tacos! The price is great, super affordable. They also offer to make your taco a “supreme” where they add avocados, tomatoes, and cheese. Sooo good! BUT. Other than the tacos, the next best thing is their HOMEMADE SAUCES!!! The “green sauce” is my favorite, but the orange sauce is good too! On the side after you order, they also have a station where you can add fresh red/spicy salsa, pico de gallo, radishes, pickled onions, etc. I love how they have this option!!! It makes everything feel and taste authentic. They also have Wednesday’s as $8 Monterey Chicken special! Make sure to check that out! Their chicken is also delicious! Even their drinks are good too… the horchata comes in a big size for a cheap price! Can the managers and cooks also look into making elote available?! Ahhhh!!! They need to get bigger and open a restaurant instead of being road side. They have so much potential! Thank you for serving the Panhandle with amazing Mexican food!

APNA Restaurant – Menu with Prices – 10769 Beach Blvd, Jacksonville

Apna was a welcome surprise! I love Indian food but had not tried any restaurants in Jacksonville since moving here in 2014. I was on the way to the gun range with my boyfriend and he spotted this restaurant in a strip mall. I told him I would check Yelp when we were ready to eat but he suggested we not read the reviews and try them out. So against my better judgement I listened to him. Although I did peak and see that this spot only had 3.5 stars. There was an entrance to the grocery store and an entrance to the restaurant. We went in through the restaurant door. There were roughly ten tables. As soon as we walked in the smell of wonderful food overcame us. Plus we were really hungry! I ordered the korma and my boyfriend ordered the tandoori mixed grilled platter. We shared our food which was great! The korma reminded me of tikka masala which I love. The sauce was similar but a little creamier. The sauce was perfect for naan dipping! I ordered more sauce to bring home at a small fee of $2.99. Worth it! Now let’s discuss the tandoori mixed grilled platter. WOW! The presentation was amazing as it was served steaming hot and sizzling. Check out the video I posted and you will see;) The dish included beef and chicken kabobs, chicken tikka and leg of a tandoori chicken. I loved everything about this dish! All of the meats were cooked to perfection with a gracious amount of seasoning. The flavors were exploding in my mouth like the 4th of July! The tandoori chicken was my favorite. But to be clear there was nothing about this dish that I did not like LOL! Our server was friendly and helped us make our selections. As I mentioned, there was a small area for sit down dining so in the future I will probably call in an order and pick it up. And yes, I will absolutely be eating here again! Very authentic cuisine;)))

Petra Grill – Menu with Prices – 1335 W Elizabeth St, Fort Collins

Dining at Petra Grill was quite an authentic experience and we will definitely return soon to enjoy such delectable Middle Eastern cuisine! We were passing through Fort Collins after a day of traveling and stumbled upon Petra Grill on Yelp, so we decided to give it a try and I am glad we did! The food was served promptly, the presentation of each dish was done with great attention to detail, and the exceptional quality of ingredients, coupled with a talented chef, provided for the perfect dish. This is a family run restaurant and you can tell immediately that they are a family passionate about what they do. All the dishes tasted great, the yogurt was absolutely incredible, the shawarma was delicious, the za’atar & olive oil mix is second to none, and the experience was authentic. If you are looking to experience genuine Middle Eastern cuisine in FoCo, this is your place. I highly recommend Petra Grill!

Rockaway Grill – Menu with Prices – 141-16 Rockaway Blvd, Jamaica

I am a regular customer of Rockaway Grill, and what can I say, it is the best Indian Restaurant in the area. I am not often impressed by Indian food outside of home, but Rockaway Grill trumps all. The delicious, mouth-watering food cannot be compared to. It is absolutely fantastic! Along with authentic, mind-blowing food, the outstanding and friendly service makes it feel like a home-cooked meal. I have never been disappointed by either the food or the hearty atmosphere, and it keeps me coming back for more. You have not truly tried Indian Food in New York, if you have not been to Rockaway Grill.

Hannah?s kitchen Menu with Prices 4822 NW 2nd Ave, Boca Raton

This place is REALLY GOOD! Food: I picked up chicken shawarma with triple the chicken to hit that high protein level! I skipped the bases of lettuce or rice and went with a plain base of hummus. I grabbed a cucumber pickles, seasoned onions, tomato & cucumber salad, tabbouleh, grilled veggies, jalapenos, and parsley along with some garlic sauce decorated on top. At first bite, I could tell this was going to be a smash hit in my book! The chicken was cooked perfectly and seasoned well! The hummus was delicious, the veggies were absolutely a knockout! I cleared the entire plate in what felt like 5 minutes! Absolutely incredible in every single way, healthy, delicious, perfection! (5 of 5) Service: A sweet lady took my order and captured everything perfectly. You order at the counter and sit down, they bring it all out for you and even offer up some bread! (5 of 5) Price: Sooooooo cheap! Literally $14 for triple my meat and plenty of veggies! The value here can’t be understated as this is good food for such a cheap price! Highly recommend and when I came in there weren’t too many people there! Once everyone figures this place out they will be in for a very happy surprise if you are a fan of Mediterranean!

El Imperio de la Comida – Menu with Prices – 1325 E 4th Ave, Hialeah

Don’t get confused people, this is not another Palacio de los Jugos. This is real and super authentic cuban cuisine. The owners are always there working with the staff and they make sure the quality of food is perfect.I personally recommend the arroz imperial and the pasta salad. I have not tried better cuban food anywhere else. They prepare food the same way abuelita used to cook in Cuba. The flavor is great and it is not the greasy food some ” Cuban restaurants” in the Miami area prepare. The price is super cheap compared to other places I have been. The staff is very polite and family oriented. You wont get disappointed bc they are the best ones.

Kinlaw’s Welcome Grill – Menu with Prices – 1816 Sapona Rd, Fayetteville

Heavens to Betsy! Bitten by the food love bug once again. Looking to enjoy a meal where every day salt of the earth people eat? Welcome to Kinlaw’s y’all! Here you’ll find every bit as an authentic southern dining experience as you’ll find anywhere in the country. Kinlaw’s Welcome Grill is a cafeteria style eatery located behind the actual market. Nothing fancy, just insanely good homestyle southern favorites at an even more insanely low price. Meat, 2 sides, hush puppies, and a drink for $7 even. I don’t play with my fried chicken….and this is easily one of the best I’ve had. Crispy, juicy, flavorful. The mashed potatoes? Hands down the absolute best. Kinlaw’s welcome grill is everything I love about southern food. It brings people of all walks of life together in a friendly atmosphere, around a table filled with the most satisfying cuisine known to man.

Chuy’s Night Club – Menu with Prices – Fresno

This is one of the best taco trucks in Fresno! If you are looking for really authentic tacos that taste amazing with tons of topping choices for not much money, this is your taco truck! Here’s why I love it: 1) The tortillas and meats: sooo good! Like at many other trucks, the tacos here are served with just the tortilla and meat so that you can customize them how you like them (see below). The tortillas are really good: they taste freshly made (not sure if they are actually making them in the truck, but they are super fresh none-the-less). The meats are good too: we tried four different meats, and all are yummy. I particularly recommend the al pastor, which is, in fact, cooked on a spit with fresh pineapple (the *only* way to cook al pastor!). Sooo good! 2) The toppings: there are a TON of different options, including both grilled and raw onions (go for the grilled!), beans, jalapenos, cabbage, cilantro, and five different types of salsa (the green is the best!). Also, if you do get al pastor, be sure to ask for fresh pineapple on top! 3) The price: soooo cheap! Most tacos are less than $2 each, so go ahead, eat as many as you want! Other menu options are really cheap too. 4) The staff: super friendly and fast! Why aren’t you eating here yet?!?!

The Urban Oyster Menu with Prices 1704 Whetstone Way, Baltimore

If you are suffering in withdrawal from those wonderful char-grilled oysters in places like the Acme Grill in New Orleans, Urban Oyster is your fix! This new eatery in McHenry Square has them 4 different ways, including the classic NOLA style and we loved them. We also loved the oyster tacos so much we had to go back and place a second order! The Urban Oyster is only a month or two old and has grown up from a pop up. The decor is very urban cool, all white with great nautical touches and a huge mural paying homage to their oyster heritage. The service is counter only and the restaurant only has a couple of community tables and a stand-up counter and it would make sense that they add some sidewalk tables now that the weather allows it. The big drawback is the price. A couple of orders of the grilled oysters, 2 oyster tacos and a pretty good lemonade put us back over $50, not exactly a cheap lunch but the food is great, tasty and cooked perfectly. If you don’t mind the price, it’s real treat!

Al-Maida Hot Food & Market – Menu with Prices – 5650 Market St, Oakland

It’s not a fancy Instagram worthy restaurant but it serves comforting food at a hard to beat price. This is the definition of a “local’s pick”. One you won’t find in a guide anywhere. The surroundings may not be the best (it’s in a convenience store after all) but if the food is better than places twice the price. And grab their Chai, it’s made-to-order, unlike the batch made brew you find at most places. Recommendations: Get their specials, they put work into it and it’s often the chef’s own creations. They have a proper tandoori oven so grab a tandoori item and some naan as well. For a quick bite, get their wraps, very filling and tasty. For curry, it’s hard to go wrong with any choice although the Goat may be too “fatty” or gamey for some. For drinks, it’s a convenience store so you can find whatever you want but make sure to check out some of the imported drinks from the Middle East (or grab something from their $1 fridge)
