My boyfriend and I stopped here while visiting Bend. We got coffee, an açaí bowl, avocado toast, and a pastry. We got the food immediately but the coffee took a while so I went in to check on it. The guy at the counter was REALLY nice. When he brought the coffee out it was not what we ordered, I also reminded him about the pastry we ordered. Again, he was very nice. He came back with our coffee, our pastry, and 2 more pastries for us! He apologized again. We weren’t at all upset but he still went out of his way to make us happy! It was obvious that there must have been someone new/in training working at the register when we ordered. Which that guy was very nice as well! The food was good but the customer service was VERY impressive

Krispy Kreme – Menu with Prices – 4904 S Cleveland Ave, Fort Myers

The donuts have always been hot and excellent , the bagels are also great, and coffee was fine. I would have given it a 5 star rating if I did not experience the poor customer service that I received. There were 2 people in front of me and a line of people behind me and the whole time I waited only 1 person was waiting on customers inside and it seemed like they had plenty of help. I believe they had about 7 people that I could recall at the time that I was there and I just cannot believe that not 1 of those 7 people came over to help that 1 lady out at the customer service counter. As a managers point of view I probably would have taken a video to show all the employees of themselves working so they can see what kind of team work they put into that. It was not that they were not working it was the fact that the customers should have come first and they should have jumped right in to help. Also the cashier that rung my order up was not a happy camper you could tell that he really did not want to be there. He rung my order up and turned around to do something with the coffee machine meanwhile my coffee and donuts were sitting at the register by him and he said â??here you can take itâ?quietly, I could barely hear him and then he slowly gave it to me. I said thank you with a smile and went on my way. Like I said it really was okay just the customer service and working as a team needs some improvement and it is not always like that when I go there but maybe if the employees saw themselves working at that time then maybe it could help to improve themselves, and be better team players.

Jersey Mike’s Subs – Menu with Prices – 3540 Harden Blvd Suite 103, Lakeland

The only reason this got 2 stars is because the front guy working the register was nice. I was picking up an order for a food delivery service. I had to wait for the first samdwich to be made. Then they gave it to me and realized the other sandwich wasnt made. So I had wait 10 minutes for the second sandwich to made. I had no idea what the numbers meant next to the sandwiches since I never ordered from here before personally. I leave thinking I got the two sandwiches that were ordered. Nope. It was supposed to come with other stuff and they didnt give it to me. So of course the customer is upset and now I get bad Mark’s because these kids dont know how to do their job.

Taqueria Maravatio – Menu with Prices – 2618 W 59th St, Chicago

i honestly used to come here all the time their food is delicious but i must say, lately the service has been horrible. the girls there waitress and cashier have horrible attitudes. i understand we are human and sometimes we all have those bad days. but if youre going to work in a field in which you need to be a people person and have good customer service skills, you need to be able to put on a happy face when greeting a customer and serving them appropriately. not once did these girls come to our table to see if we needed anything. not once did they ask how our service was or our food. we had to get up 3 times walk to them to get something we needed utensils, a cup and our to go container. it also seemed as if they were rushing us out. when i got up to get a cup she handed me my receipt and total.. uummmm we werent done eating and she wanted me to pay already. they were speaking pretty loud to each other it was obvious they were speaking about us because they were cursing! so unprofessional. i honestly felt horrible because i took a friend with me and on the way i was telling her it was one of my favorite spots. we will not be returning. due to their unprofessional services and how disrespectful they were to us! i hope this review helps them realize they need to be equal to everyone when servicing them. polite and professional. instead of stocking the soda and cleaning out the coffee machine take a few minutes to walk to yiur customers table and ask how their food is. is there anything they need. and if there is something you didnt like about your customers save it until they are out the door. it makes you and the business look horrible.

Cogburn’s Big Wings – Menu with Prices – 110 S Val Vista Dr, Gilbert

Writing this after a friend visited…I write for a small restaurant review…which do to my job must remain unknown. After listening in on 2 conversations today one very unprofessional and the other very professional….I assume Charles is more than a manager for this small business…he handled a minor incident with the utmost care… I find that in this day and age customer service is of the utmost importance. With that being said the other young man (Jeff) needs some manager customer service training skills. First and foremost you never argue or change your tone of voice. Always remember the customer is always right. Even if you feel the problem is minor in your eyes. When a customer complains about food or service take the time to rectify the situation then not after the fact. Correctly ask the customer what would make them happy right then. All managers have that authority to make a customer happy. Remember word of mouth can make or harm a business. Charles I feel understood that issue. If a customer has to repeat themselves over and over to said manager then that person should not be in management. Always make a customer happy whatever it takes. I took the time to read several reviews on this location and some were excellent and too many were 1 star. Being in this business for several years I have in my career ran across well run and very poorly ran restaurants. Being this is a new location for this company you can not run it poorly. To upset a customer and feel you cannot take care of it without contacting the owner is detrimental to a good working relationship. I feel Charles will take care if this problem, hopefully with out taking it out on the customer, in a manner to make them want to come back and tell their friend’s what a great place they found. Otherwise they will tell 10 people and those 10 people will tell 10 more…no owner in this day can afford bad press. So I say to Cogburns please take care of your customer base, go the extra mile to make them happy…do not demean them on the phone…assume always your position in management is to care about your customer’s, not to assume who cares if they never come back. Again Charles I listened to both conversations and found yours was professional….Thank you Duke

HiRa Cafe & Patisserie Menu with Prices 10782 E Iliff Ave, Aurora

Drove by this place a few times and decided to make a trip to check it out – what a treat! About the place – the owner is a really nice and welcoming mom who returned to work just a couple of weeks after her 2nd child. Why? Because she had so many cake orders backing up. We talked about her training in the US and London for pasty chefs. She showed a pack of pics of other cakes and I was wowed – this is Cake King quality stuff. I included a few pics of her cake pics. My kids and I ordered a coffee pastry, a mille feuille, an orange pastry, and a strawberry and cream danish. EVERYTHING was hand made in the shop. I also had an authentic Ethiopian cappucinno that was as good as any other coffee I every had – smooth, slightly smokey, rich, and packed full of flavor. This little place is a gem and needs to be on your list if you ever pass by Havana Park Plaza.

85C Bakery Cafe – Katy – Menu with Prices – 23330 Grand Cir Blvd Ste 100, Katy

This place needs improvements on customer service. I came only to order sea salt coffee so I waited in the Cake and Drinks only line. Not one cashier looked up to see if there was anyone at the Cake and Drink line to take my order. There were 2 at the time and 3rd cashier came to help out and I thought she was going to call for the next guest at the drink line. But I was wrong. All they said was â??I can help the next guest in lineâ? and looked at the pastry line. 6 customers have been helped while I was still waiting in line. I even checked to see which person I would be standing behind if I decided to wait at the pastry line and I would have been called next from pastry line over the drink line. I didnâ??t want to be rude but by that time I had to speak up. Cashier apologized but something should be done to improve customer service or get rid of the Cake and Drink line if you are not going to service anyone waiting there. After all and done I thought I was going to enjoy my sea salt coffee but it was not that strong. It tasted watery. The sea salt coffee at 85 degree bakery location next to Ranch 99 was way better.

Capriotti’s Sandwich Shop – Menu with Prices – 1280 E Plumb Ln suite b, Reno

I rarely have the pleasure of eating out so when I do, I tend to be overly critical (I’m working on it!). The food here is top notch – fresh, quality ingredients, generous portions and tasty combinations speak for themselves. This review is for the assistant manager Robert at the Plumb location. Robert helped me sort out an issue with my order that I was not happy about! However, Robert maintained a professional and respectful demeanor in the face of my upset and went out of his way to ensure that my order was fulfilled! In this day and age customer service is sadly extinct, so I was floored to be the fortunate recipient of platinum quality customer service from him. He is the only reason I will continue to patronize Capriottis. He is what exemplary customer service aspires to be.

Heart Coffee – Menu with Prices – 1123 SW Washington St, Portland

Let me start by saying that I am often in Portland, always (literally) getting coffee, and that I am not easily angered or upset. Right before my sister and I walked into Heart, we grabbed donuts from Bluestar up the street. We had them in a to-go box, and we were standing in line waiting to order our coffee. My sister then decides to go outside so she can do a little work on her cell phone, so I’m standing in line by myself at Heart – without the Bluestar donut box. Immediately when I get to the register, the person working the coffee bar says to me “we don’t allow outside food in here – it’s our policy”. And I say “okay, but I don’t have any food? And we’re sitting outside?” And she goes “yeah well we also don’t allow outside food on our tables outside”. And because I am an adult, I don’t reply and I still order a coffee – while the barista says “So these are to go?” clearly indicating that I am not welcome with my to-go box. First of all, I can’t even believe we can’t carry a to-go box into and then outside of the coffee shop. I don’t know why this place is called Heart when clearly they are pretentious as hell. And don’t get me wrong – I understand and respect policy. But is it necessary to be rude? Or so pretentious? Or to make your guests so uncomfortable for doing something as simple as carrying a box? The coffee is not anything amazing, and unfortunately the ambience (as beautiful as it was) is exactly the same. Definitely not coming back.

Tim Hortons – Menu with Prices – 16039 97 St NW, Edmonton

I am reviewing here, because the one attached to the petro-can on 80 ST isn’t an option and I know the owners own both. We went there yesterday because we were going to do lotto at the petro and then grab coffee. The line was only 2 people long when I got in. They had only 1 person taking orders and then filling those orders at the same time. I was literally in line for 10 minutes before getting any help. Secondly, I ordered only coffee… COFFEE… Tim Horton’s is a coffee place… and they ran out of coffee and I had to wait another 5-10 minutes for them to make more. Ok… you sell coffee… your main business is coffee… how… HOW? do you run out of coffee. I know I wasn’t the only displeased customer because another patron was waiting on coffee, sandwich and wedges… and he got approached 2 times about these wedges that they no longer had either, and then they decided to finally refund him for the wedges. Once they started that he asked for his coffee and they told him again (he ordered right after us and we just got our coffees) that they were out, so he was furious and asked for them to refund everything. Anyways, I will go back here, its super close to my home, but I really think they should invest in better training and the ability to not run out of the one thing they are known for… coffee.

Dawson Taylor Downtown Menu with Prices 219 N 8th St, Boise

DT downtown is a dynamite place for a fuel-up or a wind-down. Friendly knowledgeable baristas will guide you through their impressive selections of drip coffee and espresso. That said, I’ve never once felt judged for ordering decaf of light roast or even just getting a cup of water and a pastry. Also, my regular espresso drink is a little bit weird and difficult to order and they always get it just right and never ‘cross-examine’ or try to get me to change my order like I have had happen all over the northwest. This team GETS service. They are experts when you need it, but don’t try and shove coffee culture if that’s not what you want. I also appreciate their large selection of teas for when it is time for a change up. DT has become my go to stop these days. Highly recommended.

Coffee & Cake Cafe – Menu with Prices – 4407 W Fuqua St suite l, Houston

It was my first time coming here, I needed to get a coffee and wasn’t going to have time to make one at home and didn’t want to stop by a Starbucks for one..I don’t like to get coffee from fast food places (just my choice) so I searched for the nearest coffee shop and came across this hidden jewel! It’s in a shopping center so very convenient and also near my community. They had different baked goods. It smelled so good I had a hard time choosing but ended up taking a banana slice bread. I believe the lady told me it was dark roast Kenyan coffee (I saw the bag next to the brewery) very nice and pleasant atmosphere. Sweet lady who attended to me was just very detailed with all they had and provided one the best customer service. Less than 5 mins and I was set to go with my coffee and pastry. Will be stopping here again!

Aristo Cafe – Menu with Prices – 3768 W 242nd St, Torrance

We decided to give this place a try for 2 reasons: it has some really great reviews and we wanted to give a new place a shot. Now I do have to say that the food was pretty tasty, however, customer service ultimately is the reason for my poor review. Soon after walking in and ordering our food (literally after the server left from taking our order), the manager/owner (not quite sure which she was) came over to our table and ask “How do you plan to pay?” Now this shocked both my husband and I, as we weren’t sure whether she was insinuating that we did not have money or could not afford to pay for the food that we had ordered. Upon seeing the shock on our faces, she proceeded to let us know that they would be closing soon, but she was going to close out the register now and needed the food to be paid for (mind you, this is a dine in facility with a server). Then she proceeded to ask us twice whether we would be using cash or credit. We probably should have walked out then, but our daughter was enjoying the complimentary hummus and was excited to try this new place, therefore, we decided to stay. The more we thought about it, the more it bothered us. If your business is going to be closing soon and you need to “close out the register” then you should make customers aware upon walking into the business. We will definitely not be visiting this restaurant again. This place needs some customer service training put into place, considering that at times, this is what either brings back customers or results in receiving 2 star or 5 star reviews.
