I just ate 1/2 of a rack of ribs, and my mouth is still “watering!” Superb, beyond delicious, smoky, juicy, tender, and clearly loved. Tonight was my first experience with this wonderful provider, and the friendly service was every bit as good as the food. I jumped in the car during halftime of a Seahawks’ game, got my ribs, and made it home in time for the 3rd quarter. As good as the game was, the ribs were BETTER! They are at Kulshan’s on Tuesday and Friday nights, and i am now a big fan. The best BBQ I have tasted in Whatcom County – do yourself a favor and go eat their food!! You will not be disappointed. My mouth is still in awe.

Krickett’s Bar & Grill – Menu with Prices – 14422 Pacific Ave S, Tacoma

Went there for last Seahawks game! Was really busy and seemed to have plenty of staff, but they all wanted to stay behind bar. When any of them came out they would not look around or check to see if anyone needed service. We had to go get all of our drinks and finally was able to flag down a waitress for food order. Also please change your shrimp dish back to the large prawns, not the tiny quarter inch shrimp you get now, all breading and no shrimp! Once we got a waitress she was really good.

The Old Pub – Menu with Prices – 420 S 11th St, Lincoln

I love The Old Pub! It has a ton of regulars of all ages and professions that give it a neighborhood bar feel. The bar is a long bar that seats 15-18 people. There are 5 or 6 tall top tables that seat 4 comfortably with additional seating of regular tables as well. There are 6 tv’s generally showing varous sporting events and internet radio music as well as a jukebox. Drink prices are super cheap especially for a downtown bar. They are known for their Bloody Mary’s with mix that is made in house. A favorite of Husker tailgaters! Tuesday and Friday nights are busy nights and a lot of fun to hang out and drink with anyone you happen to sit by. The bar is open 7 days a week at noon. Happy hour is 3-7 Monday through Friday and they have $2.50 domestics and wells. After 7 each night has it’s own drink special. Friday night the owner provides some sort of food around 5 that’s free. During football season home game days there is also food for tailgaters. The bar is probably the cleanest bar I have ever been in. It is obvious the owner cares about the bar and it’s business.

Pope’s Place – Menu with Prices – 3055 Brereton St, Pittsburgh

Great local bar. This place might become our go-to for game nights. Comfortable stools, nice vibe with wood floors and a copper ceiling. Not too loud, you can hear the game but you can talk, too. I’ve been here on a Thursday night and a Tuesday evening and it’s been the same vibe both times. There is a jukebox – touchtunes- though, so they may have other nights with a different flavor. I don’t know why you would list this place as a $$$, I’ll add some of the posted specials here: $2 IC 12oz bottles During Pirate Games $2 16oz draft Miller Lite during Pens Games Happy Hour 5-7, $1 off everything $4 Chicken burrito w/ guacamole and chips $2.50 Jumbo soft pretzel These are the specials I can see from my seat. I think they have flatbread, too. This place would be practically perfect, except, as I just found out, it’s a smoking establishment.

MCCARTERS BBQ – Menu with Prices – 2675 Dr Martin Luther King Jr Blvd, Fort Myers

I picked up a full rack for $25 around 1130am, there were not a lot of customers when I arrived. Once we got home and started eating I realized these were the toughest ribs I’ve ever had. I thought I was chewing on my daddy’s shoe. My friend couldn’t finish them because of the toughness, he spit out what he had in his mouth. I was just chewing and chewing so I threw out over a half of the rack of ribs. I don’t know if I got yesterday’s ribs rewarmed or the pitmaster was not paying attention. They didn’t have good taste, no fat, super chewy, dry, and very tough. It was more like beef jerky than succulent ribs. The owner seemed like a nice guy, but I wasted $25 and the time to pick them up. I’ll stick with other rib houses from now on.

Jack’s Happy Landing Menu with Prices 641 Massillon Rd, Akron

I don’t go in here often because when I do – I feel like I’m scraping the bottom of the barrel when I’m looking for fun. At least now I can sit in the place for more than a few minutes without stinking myself – since they finally stopped people from smoking inside, long after the laws had banned it. The decor is pretty bland – just a long bar and some tables against the opposite wall. Not the cleanest, either. The problem here is that some nights, it’s real hit-or-miss with the clientele. Some nights, it’s OK, but a lot of the time, there’s more empty beers on the bar than teeth in the mouths of the patrons – if you know what I mean. Late nights I will sometimes stop in right before home to see who is there, but usually it’s the same old crowd (picture a casting call for the Roseanne show – and these people were rejected) and I turn around and head right back out. Now they have had a band in here on a few recent Friday nights, and I have actually stayed for a couple of beers to check them out. The additional people made things more tolerable…maybe if they advertised that they had live music on Fridays, they could help themselves out a little. You’ve all heard the song – “I’ve Got Friends in Low Places.” Well, this is the place they were talking about. Roll the dice and stop in on a Friday night….

Waterside Seafood Company – Menu with Prices – 777 Waterside Dr, Norfolk

Of ALL the Marriott-associated hotel restaurants I’ve been to (and make no mistake, as a Titanium Elite member, I’ve been to a lot), this is the absolute worst. For reference, my experience was in April 2019. 1) For starters, after standing at the front waiting to be seated, my mom and I were eventually “greeted” (if I can even call it a greeting) by who looked to be the manager. He grabbed some paper menus and seated us. The paper menus that we were given were just that- paper menus. Not the fancy, presentable paper menus that all the cool restaurants are doing- 8.5 x 11 letter-sized paper menus, WITH STAPLES! I’m sorry- I’m looking for a menu, not someone’s double-spaced, 12-font essay. While this was disturbing enough, I looked around to find that everyone else in the restaurant (I counted 8) had the portfolio menus. Really? 2) My mom and I ordered the Tuesday special rib dinner. We waited 40 mins. Let’s think about this: 10 patrons in a restaurant at 8pm on a Tuesday. Not a Friday, Saturday, or Sunday- a Tuesday. HIGHLY unusual and completely unacceptable. We would’ve been justified in leaving. 3) The food, after finally receiving it, was very disappointing. I took a bite of the ribs only to discover that I was eating a mushy bone. I had to scrape away the BBQ sauce to see what I was dealing with and was just disgusted. These were not quality ribs at all- they were over-processed and lukewarm. The consistency of these ribs, at best, were similar to McDonald’s McRib, with mushy bones. My mom and I, to our regret, ate as much as we could and our stomachs paid for it later. The steak fries were fine, but then again, how can you mess up frozen packaged fries? If we’re ever in Norfolk again, we’ll skip staying at this hotel in general. The funny part? We decided to stay here instead of the Norfolk Waterside Marriott; we had the best lunch at the Marriott, so we definitely missed out.

PreGame Sports Bar & Lounge – Menu with Prices – 178-23 Hillside Avenue, Jamaica

Just went to Pre Game Bar & Lounge on sat 10/1 and the place was packed!!!!! The music was great, the drinks were flowing, the SERVICE was impeccable once again. Management allows you to bring food in which I thought was cool, they interact with the customers and make you feel like your home. Place is great to catch the football games especially on Monday nights!!!. BEWARE OF THE PRE GAME BOWL!!!

Kings Card Club – Menu with Prices – 6111 West Ln #103, Stockton

Westlane Restaurant is definitely a great find! Stockton may not be a barren dessert but, there aren’t many restaurants worth mentioning that are non chains. This establishment is one of those gems and worth the recognition! Offering American classics as well as the popular Asian staples….these different flavor profiles is what keeps it interesting and enticing! The ambiance is trendy yet casual. You wouldn’t know it’s an extension of a Card Room had you not see it as you enter. However, the low lighting and good food makes it an ideal place for casual dining or even a date night. The bar area is ever so lively especially during game nights. A great bar to chill and grab a drink while watching whatever happens to be on TV that day. Their Happy Hour specials is what keeps me coming back each and every time! Half off of what is featured for that particular day. Monday and Thursday….the house belongs to the tender and juicy Prime Ribs. Delicious Taco Tuesday….no surprise there! Wednesday is Chicken Alfredo. Lastly, Sunday is New York steak. Every day (except Friday and Saturday) between 3pm-9pm is half off of wings. We ordered the followings: Ribeye was nicely charred on the outside yet juicy and tender on the inside. Salt n Pepper Shrimp was succulent with the right amount of batter for the crispness. It was well seasoned without being overwhelming. Laap with its classic salty, tangy and spicy-ness….is what makes it such a memorable and delicious dish! The side of rice is the perfect pairing! Service is generally outstanding. Plenty of seatings in the main dining room with additional seatings in the bar area. Tips- 50% off for military discount. Most entrees come with a side of rice unless otherwise requested. Con- Prime Ribs do run out sometimes when you don’t go early enough. I do recommend giving this place a try if you’re in the area.

Tonya’s Pub – Menu with Prices – 5403 Wilbanks Dr, Hixson

Very nice inside. You wouldn’t think so from looking at the outside. Down home atmosphere with very nice employees. Certain nights there is free food. The first time I was there they had barbecue pork ribs with baked beans and cream corn. It was very tasty!

GD Barbeque Menu with Prices 2504 Government St, Baton Rouge

My husband brought home his leftovers for me…so thoughtful. Regardless it was delicious, some of the best BBQ I have had in a long time and the husband agreed too. The brisket was perfectly cooked and the ribs were excellent! The ribs had the right amount of pull when you bit into them…note ribs should not be “fall off the bone” that is called pat roast. Thank you to GD pitmaster for knowing how to properly cook ribs. The potato salad and beans were very tasty. I will return for my own meal very soon.

Ray’s Smokehouse BBQ Menu with Prices 2817 Deans Bridge Rd, Augusta

I was just in the area visiting my friend and wanted BBQ for lunch. Googled and this came up. Although it was empty when I pulled up, I ordered everything (almost)!! I haven’t have BBQ in a while so I had to be greedy and try everything!! Ribs, brisket, pulled pork, mac & cheese, fried okra, hash and rice and banana pudding for dessert. Oh and I didn’t forget the sweet tea!! I wasn’t disappointed at all. If your ever in Augusta stop here and eat this man’s AMAZINGLY DELICIOUS BBQ!!! I wasn’t disappointed! Stop in and even challenge him to a game of bones or bid wiz!! ð???
