Wow, just wow. I first went through the drive through to order food but got super overwhelmed with all the menu options lol I wanted to know the difference in the salt and pepper wings vs the regular . I was told they had pictures inside if I wanted to see what it looked like so I took the advice and got off. They literally have a WHOLE wall with pictures of all the dishes they serve! Amazingly helpful! Staff was very friendly and knowledgeable on the food . I ordered the salt and pepper chicken, fried fish and shrimp and 3 whole wings with fried rice. Everything was HOT and FRESH, and tasted so good! The salt and pepper chicken really has a nice twist to it with the onion , jalapeños, and chili pepper sprinkles! The fish and shrimp were batter perfectly with just the right amount of seasoning. The fries have a tasty seasoning on them as well. The wings were also seasoned just right and fried to perfection. I didn’t mind waiting the extra minutes to assure that. I highly recommended this place to anyone in this area! GREAT JOB JT’s! I wish I lived closer, but definitely would drive 45 minutes to come back!

Southern Classic Fried Chicken – Menu with Prices – 3651 Hollywood Ave, Shreveport

Well first off i love Southern Classic chicken i been going to this place since the hollywood location opened here lately i been going to the North Market location they are friendly at this location but here lately they have been putting so much salt on the fries you cant hardly eat/enjoy them so i decided i wanted to start getting fries with lite salt so went to north market location today 8/31 orderd my food and fries with lite salt and a pepper get home with my order no pepper and fries full of salt so i called the manager about the heavy salt she was so UNPROFESSIONAL i shared with her about the heavy salt and that i ordered lite salt on my fries and i got heavy salt plus i didnt get my pepper first she has me on speaker phone telling me that the girl can hear me while im talking about the pepper the manager also tell me that everyone in the world wants extra salt on their fries and that me and her might be the only 2 that like lite salt she also said that they cant controll how the seasoning come out the salt shaker because of the big holes and they dont even have a lite salt button so i might need to orfer my fries without salt because its no way i can get lite salt on my fries but to me why order a fry with out seasoning and the seasonings is wht make the fries good they just need to put the proper amount without over doing things but i wont go bk

Angie’s Fish and Wings – Menu with Prices – 5015 S Sheridan Rd, Tulsa

Had lunch here with a coworker today. This location used to be Sam’s Southern Eatery and while the name has changed, the menu looks very familiar. The building is old and could use some TLC as it is rather run down, but I came for the food not the ambience. I ordered the 3 Fish, 3 Shrimp platter which came with two sides. I opted for half fried, half grilled with fried okra and red beans & rice. My friend ordered a 10 piece BBQ wings with fries and okra. Being lunchtime it was rather busy and our orders came out in about 20 minutes. The portions are very generous as my fish and shrimp came on one plate, while the okra was in a basket of it’s own and the beans and rice in a small bowl. The grilled fish and shrimp was delicious and had a savory seasoning. It was so good I finished that before moving on to the fried portions. The fried….two fillets and 2 huge shrimp. Mmm good. My friends wings also looked great. He was hesitant to come here, but left satisfied. Give this place a try. While the decor is lacking, the food makes up for it……and if that’s not enough, you won’t leave hungry.

JJ Fish & Chicken – Menu with Prices – 5849 Summer Ave, Memphis

I am writing this review in love. I give JJ Fish & Chicken 2 stars because the catfish (fillets & nuggets) is decent. At the same time, if JJ’s is going to advertise itself as a chicken joint, y’all need to do a better job of both seasoning and frying your chicken. When I talk about seasoning, I’m not talking about that salty sugar that JJ’s puts on top of the chicken after it is fried. Also, when I talk about frying, the chicken should be fried to time appropriately and not over fried. The chicken I got tonight (legs and thighs) was dry, dry, and WAY over fried. The fries could also use A LOT MORE seasoning. Both the chicken and the fries tasted like paper. I write this review again in love. Please add salt (Tony Chaceres) to the chicken and let it marinade for a while, before throwing it into the fryer. I am telling you that this will make a world of difference.

Fresh catch fish & chicken – Menu with Prices – 1018 NW 10th Ave, Fort Lauderdale

Awesome Fried Grouper! Perfectly battered, crispy, golden brown and delicious fish and chips. Also had the tasty gizzards, fried shrimp, mozzarella sticks, onion rings and some wings. Everything was excellent and was a great deal with huge portions. $14 for 3 big pieces of quality fish, fries, roll, slaw is great. Was thinking about Uber Eats’ing the food, but decided to actually go and pick it up to check the place out. The store was very clean and really busy for a Wednesday, nonstop walk ins. You can tell they go through a lot of fish and everything tasted fresh. Took about 20 mins so I’d suggest calling ahead and picking up or get delivery. They have two tables but this is not a sit down place, it’s To Go. I didn’t try it, but their fried chicken looked amazing. They have this seasoning “salt” that almost every customer was piling on, but I would suggest on the side to try it the first time. Was not of my liking. Staff was friendly and hustling and this is definitely a spot we are putting on our list. To sum it up its a bad neighborhood, clean restaurant with good fried food.

A J’s Famous Seafood & PO Boys – Menu with Prices – 2100 Roswell Rd # 2148, Marietta

I am not sure what is “Famous” about AJ’s Seafood and PoBoys. I ordered the Shrimp PoBoy along with a side of Red, Beans & Rice. I also tried the chicken and sausage Gumbo. Having lived in Louisiana for over 20 years, I know what good Cajun food should taste like and this ain’t it. The Shrimp Poboy was mediocre at best. It was almost there, but not quite. The seasoning on the shrimp was a bit to greasy and was not evenly coated. most of the surface area of the shrimp had no visible coating, which means its not sticking to the shrimp and falling off when fried. Bit too much salt and red/cayenne pepper. Edible but not great. The Red, Beans, & Rice. Well all I can say is that they need to quit making it. Too salty and too much red pepper. That is one thing I find in so-called Cajun restaurants , north of Louisiana. They equate salt and cayenne pepper as Cajun flavor. Louisiana flavor is about that perfect blend of spices, not one spice stands out. Also the texture was not right. It should have a more creamy texture and some body. Not just look like boiled beans. The Gumbo. Again. Stop making this. the chicken was way to shredded. It ruined the taste and texture of the gumbo. Again way too much red/cayenne pepper. Staff was nice and atmosphere was good. Again poboy is descent, and edible. The owners need to visit some places like Pot & Paddle in Gonzales, La or Harbor seafood in Metarie, Louisiana. Experience some reference gumbo and poboys. Learn a couple of things and try again.

My Delights – Menu with Prices – 43486 Ellsworth St, Fremont

Have had this place bookmarked for some time now, but rarely head towards this direction until tonight. First thing is there is absolutely no signage with “My Delights” on the outside of the building. I almost couldn’t find it until I saw “popcorn chicken” on the window. I saw some pics on Yelp with grand opening signs from 3 years ago with no official store name signage but only “Chinese Cuisine”, but I thought they would have something by now, guess not. Women at the register was super helpful and nice and tried to assist me with my selection. I decided to get a variety of things for us to eat which included thai curry bento, food sampler (popcorn chicken and calamari), and lemon pepper wings. For drinks we got the black sugar milk tea hot with pearls and oolong milk tea which were both creamy and delicious. Food was really good. The fried foods were perfect with some chili powder sprinkled. They said they make their own chili powder concoction with to me was not overly spicy and had a perfect blend of salt and chili flavor. Lemon pepper wings look dark like almost burnt, but tasted really good. Thai curry was delicious with nice tender pieces of chicken, onions, and potatoes and some heat. Bento was nicely put together with perfectly cooked white rice, some broccoli, half a brown egg, and a few pickled veg. Overall I am impressed with this place and would return. I wish it were closer.

WINGS PLUS A Whole Lot More Menu with Prices 9525 Parkway E, Birmingham

I been meaning to try this place out quite some time, but never had the time. All of sudden, while at work, I had a hunch for some good old fashion fried green tomatoes. I tried every wings place in my area that serve fried green tomatoes except for Wings Plus. For anyone who wants to eat in, you’re out of luck since they only have drive thru. Coming here during the rush hour traffic that evening, I’m expecting a long wait in the drive thru, but it goes by pretty quickly. I got the 10 piece wings combo for $7.99 and the fried green tomatoes for only $3.99. My little interaction with the employee was nice which I’ve always appreciate business having good customer service. The hot and lemon pepper wings and fries were good, but the only little issue is that the chicken wings were dry since I’ve struggled to pull the wings apart. The highlight of my meal was the fried green tomatoes. Most places for what ever reason choose not to add any seasoning or not enough, but that wasn’t the case which I’d enjoy every bite.

Hall’s Honey-Fried Chicken – Menu with Prices – 1407 Medical District Dr, Dallas

So my co-worker and I found out they had opened this Hall’s location close to work. It was literally 20 mins before we go to lunch, so we both were like “yard bird…le’go”. We hopped in my car…rolled out…arrived within like 5-6 mins. The sign on the door indicated they weren’t opening until 11:30 this particular day…..’scrreeeccccchhhhh’. So I was like we gonna wait or what…so ‘we drove around the parking lot and then that’s when I noticed there was a drive-thru. So we slow poked it to the drive-thru & was reading the menu and the lady came on the intercom to pull to the window. Got to the window and she was like “so I know the sign says 11:30, but we have everything ready except for thighs and strips”. We were like cool, since we both wanted wings. We ordered, paid & high tailed it back to work. Hands washed….blessing said…i’m finna square up with this yard bird. UMMMMMMMMM….I’m guessin they weren’t going to open until 11:30 cuz they were waiting on some seasoning to get there ‘shrugs’….cuz it dayum sholl wasn’t on that chicken or fries….smh The food was cooked very well, babbyyyyyyyyyyyyyy….but what y’all do with the seasoning?? Is it b/c it’s a small location…wasn’t enough room in the building for a salt or pepper shaker?? IJS The only thang with seasoning was the pickles/peppers/carrots & that white bread LMAO I’ll give them time to get settled in and try ’em out in about 2-3 weeks again….but if salt/pepper/paprika/garlic….somebody’s seasoning ain’t there….I won’t be going back!!! Y’all keep cluckin….LOL

Lord of the wings – Menu with Prices – 6436 Pacific Ave, Stockton

*DRUM ROLL PLEASE* …… Soooo let me just put this out there , i absolutely love fried chicken ! i truly do & i love it even more when it’s cooked and fried right . i’m probably the pickiest person when it comes to chicken because it has to have that good crispy crunch on the outside . but when you bite into it , it has that good tender meat on the inside . OF COURSE from the reviews this place comes highly recommended . and it’s always refreshing to see black owned businesses and ones that are reasonably priced . i brought my kids along with me after procrastinating for a few days . i will admit i do love the lemon pepper chicken , it’s actually really good . it has the right amount of lemon pepper seasoning to it as well . i will come back for those for sure . i bought two 10 pieces : bbq , teriyaki , lemon pepper of course and garlic parmesan . BBQ wings : flavor wise it was 8/10 , it was a tad on the spicy side but it’s okay Teriyaki wings : flavor wise 8/10 . Lemon Pepper wings : flavor wise 10/10 Garlic Parmesan wings : flavor wise 7/10 – i wasn’t a big fan of the garlicky after taste . overall the wings were great ! my kids loved them & my husband said they taste like wings he would cook so that’s a huge plus ! i will definitely come back to this one to continue to support . somebody put these people on diners drive ins and dives !!!

Da Catch Fish & Chicken – Menu with Prices – 4410 Charles St #6256, Rockford

Da Catch seems to be a franchise, I’ve seen them in other cities, but I couldn’t find any info on that. There are a few locations in Rockford, IL, which is where I bumped into them. Fried fish is the specialty of the house. They also feature wings, tenders, and Philly cheese steaks, as well as bulk orders on the fish and shrimp, and a few other fried sides choices. I grabbed a catfish “meal” which comes with 3-4 fillets, french fries, and I got a side of fried okra for an additional charge. I’m gonna guess the fish is dusted with lemon pepper, seems to be a thing around these parts. The breading was seasoned corn meal and not overbearing. Fries were good, so was the okra. At under $10, it’s a good value. The restaurants are “simple trappings,” seems like they are more geared to drive thru/pick up service than dine in, but there are tables. There are multiple locations in Rockford.

Crave Wings – Menu with Prices – 13633 Warwick Blvd #1, Newport News

Crave Wings is what I consider a chicken wing gem in Newport News. The location is off Warwick in a small shopping center around other international stores. The inside is decorated with simple decor and decent seating for a casual restaurant. A few TV’s are on the walls and the place is always clean. The restaurant has a moderate sized menu of both American fare (Burger & Sandwiches) and Korean food, but the main attraction is the chicken wings (bone-in). The chicken wings are pretty large as compared to Wingstop or Buffalo Wild Wings. They are unbreaded, flash fried wings, that are coated in your dry rub or sauce of choice. They have plenty of sauce/dry rub options from honey BBQ, to garlic pepper, to traditional hot. A 10 wing combo with french fries and drink will run you about $14 which is still comparable to other chicken wing restaurants. The food is cooked to order so you’ll have wait, usually about 10 minutes, but the wings are worth it. The chicken wings and the sauces are flavorful. The chicken wing meat tastes as if it’s been brined or marinated before it was actually flash fried. Once fried, the wings have a slight exterior crunch. The french fries are just your basic crinkle cut fry and I’m pretty sure they are unsalted unless you ask. You could probably skip on those and use your money to get another side or more chicken wings. The fries can’t be substituted out of the combo though so you’ll have to buy the side separate. Beyond the traditional wings and a few sides, I can’t speak to much of the other items on the menu. If you are going to a place called Crave Wings, I can’t imagine you’d be looking to get anything other than the wings anyway. They are the star.

WING STATION – Menu with Prices – 619 S Pine Ave, Ocala

This is the second time we’ve gotten takeout from here and really liked it. The first time we got 10 garlic Parmesan wings and the shrimp boil with Cajun seasoning. The wings were good, a little small, but cooked well and we really liked the seasoning. The shrimp boil was very good and a good value, 25 medium sized shrimp cooked perfectly with potatoes, corn and a small piece of sausage for $12.99. This time we got the special party seafood boil and the 4-Piece catfish dinner. Again, I think they have good value for what you get. The seafood boil easily fed 2 people with 1 snow crab cluster,10 medium shrimp, 10 crawfish, potatoes and corn. It also listed sausage but we didn’t get any of that and I think there should have been 2 corn on the cobs for such a big serving of everything else. The fried catfish was also a really good value, 4 huge pieces of fish and french fries for $10.99. Give them a try.
