If it’s just OK, it’s K-Petal. If they’re training new employees, they should wear L-Petal signs. And if you empathize with people that have never tried things this delicious, then you M-Petalthize with them. What to get: Crepe What not to get: Crap from your friends about going here without them Also: The owner here provides truly amazing service If you’re cycling to get here, then petal faster, because you don’t want to miss out on these spectacular desserts and yummy drinks. J-Petal was an absolute delight, much like the locations in Providence RI and Harrisonburg VA which are my 2 other faves. It’s close to the campus of U of Florida. I don’t generally like Asian Crepes (I’m spoiled by street crepes in Paris), and I was expecting the products to be mediocre or decent at best. They were actually spectacularly delicious and amazing. If En Vogue go here, it’s N-Petal. If you get sexually excited while here, it’s O-Petal. And if you need the bathroom urgently, it’s P-Petal. I figured out why it’s so good. It’s from New York City. The original location is in Brooklyn, and so it has to have a high standard. My original notes say: Lovely server, very delicious but tiny poke bowl, milk tea was forgettable. (But then J Petal never had good milk teas). If you find some cool gadgets in here, they’re from Q-Petal. And if someone tells you that you aren’t petal, believe me, you R-Petal. And according to Mexicans, the best dessert place in Harrisonburg “Es Petal.” The drinks are really good as well – the lightbulb ones – but the real strength lies in the wild and imaginative, fruity, delicious crepes and desserts. I will definitely be visiting here every single time I come back to G-ville. And if you want a fancy new name for Tea Leaves, how about T-Petal? And if you’re sick of me petal, how about U-Petal? And if you lost your V-Card in unfortunate circumstances, come and replenish it at V-Petal! While I wouldn’t come back here for the milk teas, the light bulb drinks are wonderful and the Poke is actually really good – it’s kinda small but it’s not too expensive, and service is nothing short of wonderful. She kept checking on me to see how I was doing, and in such a nice way. I just wish they were more more busy because they deserve all the business from all the people. They’re also the only J-Petal I know that has Poke. And if you’re a Republican, skip it and go to W-Petal. And watch out for my crazy X-Petal. As I said, it was super quiet and I wished that it would be a lot more busy. Gainesville can be hit-or-miss for these awesome businesses and I hope that the University of Florida crowd comes down here in droves and keeps it going because they deserve it with these wonderful Asian baked goods which are right up there with the better ones in places like New York City and Boston. Now I’ve given you enough reasons Y-Petal. So don’t ZZZZZZ-Petal on J-Petal.

J-Petal & Poke? Waco – Menu with Prices – 315 S University Parks Dr Suite 120, Waco

My friends and I celebrated my birthday at J-Petal & Poke last night. It was most of the group’s first time there. We all enjoyed our meals. The food was very fresh. The staff was over the top helpful. We had one person who is gluten free in our group and the staff really went out of their way to make sure she had a wonderful dining experience all the way down to cleaning and sterilization of the platform used for making the rolled ice cream. The food choices are very fresh and plentiful. The staff answers any and all questions and offers samples of the food items if you are unsure if you would like it. I personally ordered a bowl and was so pleased with all of my choices. I would completely recommend J-Petal & Poke to anyone who wants a fresh, delicious dinner. And if you are gluten free they have an extensive menu of choices for you.

OhBella Gelato & Crepe Cafe – Menu with Prices – 18585 Soledad Canyon Rd, Santa Clarita

I travel from San Gabriel Valley to eat here. Grade ‘A’ establishment. Great gelato, paninis, crepes (sweet or savory), great expresso, milk teas, and smoothies. Their prices are low compared to other competitors especially for the quality of food you get. Their paninis are better than Corner Bakery in my opinion. Their crepes are better than any I have had at any big chain restaurants. They have a wide variety of gelato so if u don’t see it on display, ask for different flavors. I love their smoothies and boba milk teas, not everyone knows how to make good boba pearls. Oh, and their establishment and restroom are always CLEAN. A definite must stop if you’re in the Santa Clarita area.

PIPER AND LEAF x Pizitz Menu with Prices 1821 2nd Ave N, Birmingham

Seen this place at the Pizitz a couple of time, and I finally tried it the other week. It was actually a lot better than I expected! I’ve always been hit or miss with teas, but the one I got here was actually quite delicious. I got a sweetie pie chai tea served hot and sweetened. Delicious! Perfect for a cold day! it was pretty sweet but enjoyable and smelled wonderful. The cashier was a little confused and didn’t seem to know much about the teas she had when I had asked her about what she recommended. hey…a job is a job to some people.

Crêpes For U – Menu with Prices – 218 Legacy Dr, Plano

I’ve been coming here for 5 years now. Still is and will forever be my favorite crepes place. Here’s why: Paul, the owner and the one making all the crepes, is the sweetest human being on this planet ever. He’s so patient and takes so much care into ensuring that each crepe is made to perfection. Their crepes are soo delicious too. I’ve asked Paul to make my crepes slightly more crispy and he’s always been more than willing to accommodate. My go-to order is the Kiki’s special – it’s with fresh banana, whipped cream, hazelnut chocolate sauce drizzle and a scoop of ice cream (you get to choose the flavor!) Yes, their hours of operation are a hit or miss, sometimes. But that’s the beauty of an independently-owned business – they can take a break whenever they want! This crepes shop is located inside the grocery market and is conveniently located next to Mitsuwa and also a food court as well. It’s a great area to just hang out with friends and eat some delicious asian food/snacks. I love Crepes 4 U. I will always be recommending this place to my friends and to anyone that is a fellow crepe-lover.

CRUNCHY POKÉ – Menu with Prices – 426 Fore St, Portland

To start off, I’ve definitely had way better poke. I had the customized tuna and salmon poke bowl. The presentation looked nice, but there definitely wasn’t enough poke meat in it. Everything else in the bowl tasted okay. I consider myself a poke and milk tea snob and nothing about this place really wowed me. Next, the milk tea needs to be mentioned here because that is what made me go from a 4 star to a 3 star. How do you royally mess up a bubble milk tea? The taste of the milk tea was weird because the tea had a very strong taste and didn’t have enough sugar to compensate for the overpowering taste. The taste of the tea wasn’t even a nice fragrant taste either. The pearls in it were either sitting for too long (aka not fresh) or it wasn’t cooked thoroughly because it was all stuck together and was a combination of a soft and hard consistency. Plus, the pearls filled up half of the cup and was a complete waste of money.

Kung Fu Tea – Menu with Prices – 50 Frazier Ave Suite 200, Chattanooga

To start, I have always heard great things about Kung Fu Tea. Many of my friends make frequent trips to Atlanta in order to have their various teas and drinks. So when I heard that a location had opened here in Chattanooga, I knew I needed to try it! When I walked in, I was greeted with a smile by two of the workers. They asked if I needed any help ordering or if I needed any suggestions. They were very friendly and accommodating with my order, since this was my first time trying milk tea. I ordered the Thai Milk Tea with Bubbles and Less Sugar (70% of the normal amount). When I received my drink, I was very happy with my choice! The option of changing the sugar level within the drink was nice, since I prefer my teas to be less sweet. They range from No Sugar (0%) all the way to Extra (120%), so everyone should be able to find their desired sweetness level. In addition to the milk teas, they also have classic hot and iced teas, slushes, and fruity drinks. I believe that they also have plans to sell small snacks at some point. I will definitely be returning here to try more flavors of the milk tea and others drinks they have! Kung Fu Tea is a great addition to the North Shore lineup of restaurants and shops, and I HIGHLY suggest everyone come support this business!

Western Dragon Teas – Menu with Prices – 300 Blake St, Raleigh

I’ve been buying these incredible teas since they began sharing their fabulous offerings with the world. Wow! This is some incredible stuff. When I was a kid my father used to always say, “Don’t stay in cheap hotels, always eat good food, and always invest in quality shoes.” Well, I’d like to add to that. “Always drink the best teas!” You want great teas! You deserve great teas! You want scrumptious teas! You want high quality teas. You want delicious teas. And that’s exactly what they offer here. And the price is perfect! I went to the Morgan Street Food Hall last week and stocked up right there at their beautiful kiosk! Anthony was there to great me and to explain the various health benefits of the teas. It means so much to be able to buy any product right from the person who creates it! Anthony is tearrific! So go down there and check the place out, and be sure to stock up for yourself, and buy a bunch of bags for your friends and family. Teas make fantastic gifts! And their really wicked cool names add to the appeal. I am looking forward to it getting cold outside so I can go down to the Food Hall with a book and a mug and order a bunch of different individual bags, and enjoy hot teas while the snowflakes softly drip down from the wintry skies.

Coffee Dose – Menu with Prices – 3035, 116 E 18th St, Costa Mesa

Came here on a whim with my best friend and my sister after seeing how hyped up it was on Instagram and we were frankly disappointed. The coffee shop was also a makeshift hair salon, where people could go in and get their hair done. We all ordered drinks. I ordered an iced chai latte with almond milk, my sister ordered an iced chai latte with whole milk, and my best friend ordered a cappuccino. After being there and hearing our names for the order, we grabbed our cups and took a sip. We couldn’t believe the disbelief of how disgusting our drinks were. Both chai teas tasted like Delsym, an orange cough syrup with cinnamon and the cappuccino tasted very sour. We weren’t too happy about the quality of the drinks after seeing how great the advertisements were on social media. After another sip, we decided we could no longer drink these drinks and went back to tell the baristas. Because it was our first time here and the taste was awful, I asked if we could swap them out with different drinks as the ones we ordered were not up to par. My friend and I both opted for a hot match a latte with almond milk and oat milk. My sister got a mocha. We were happy that they let us swap out the first drinks as they weren’t very good. The second round of drinks, tasted much better, but nothing too far from a 3/5. The aesthetic here is cute, I would rate it 4/5. However, their drinks are sub par, I dont think I will be coming back anytime soon as it was nothing special. Yes, the cups have some sassy sayings like “so fucking zen” or “anti-bitch serum,” but the drinks itself are not worth the price.

Palacsinta LLC Menu with Prices 1404 McLendon Ave NE, Atlanta

On our way back from our Florida road trip we wanted to stop by Palacsinta for a Hungarian treat. Since I am from Europe and have Hungarian roots this place and Maria were a special find. It was nice to be able to use my rusty Hungarian and have someone to talk to. Maria explained that over the months people have requested baked goods more so than crepes and her store has turned into a bakery instead. She still prepares crepes for private parties, however. She gave us some samples and the cheesecake was delicious! I was hoping for some savory/sweet crepes to fill us up though, so that was a little disappointing. It is interesting to note that she also mentioned that Hungarians do not tend to seek out her establishment, but that her clientele is mostly Americans and Europeans. We did end up buying one of the plum pastries and I had it for breakfast the next day. Yum! I do wish I lived closer to Atlanta to be able to stop by for a visit more often.

Around the World Cafe – Menu with Prices – 5110 Park Rd 1-K, Charlotte

We stopped by this little shop for some boba tea and was pleasantly surprised by the variety and quality of both the teas and ice creams. We ordered 2 Thai Milk Teas with Boba, Strawberry Milk with Boba, Milk Tea with Boba, and Hazel Nana ice cream. The Thai Milk Tea was super refreshing and the Strawberry Milk reminded me is my new favorite drink! I wish they served something similar at boba chains that are closer to me since this cafe is more local and probably isn’t a chain. The Milk Tea was also very delicious. The Hazel Nana ice cream was spectacular!! It was the best ice cream I’ve had in a while and it’s been a few days and I’m still thinking about it. It’s the best banana hazelnut flavored ice cream I’ve had in a while. Our server was also super nice and friendly while explaining menu items. The only minor complaint I have is that some of the drink menu items don’t have prices on them but their menu is written with chalk so I’m sure they could easily add the prices. Most drinks are between $3-$5 depending on the size and the drink (the pricing is similar to Starbucks). If I’m ever in the area I’m definitely stopping by again!

Winterbloom Tea – Menu with Prices – 238 Hay St, Fayetteville

Very knowledgeable about teas. Best place Iâ??ve ever been for tea. Even better than Teavana. Pricey teas here BUT worth it in my opinion. There are so many that Iâ??ve had and not one, strange(?) taste like you get in some other teas. One tea helps my fibromyalgia pain a little and greatly helps my young sonâ??s juvenile arthritis. The Insomnia tea I recently got for my oldest teenager is AMAZING. She said itâ??s better than the sleepy teas Iâ??ve purchased and it knocks her out for the whole night. I donâ??t think sheâ??s slept this well since she was 3 years old. So many great ones there along with welcoming staff and environment. They will even ship us our favorite teas when we move to FL because I needed to keep getting some. Wonderful place! Keep it going!

Sharetea Fullerton – Menu with Prices – 2445 E Chapman Ave, Fullerton

I’m rather picky with my teas and milk teas, but when I’m craving a drink, Sharetea is one of the top choices on my list. The quality and service is amazing. I also love how they are consistent. Of the many times I have gone, only once did an order taste different than usual, but all other times I’ve gone, the drinks almost always taste the same, which I love. Lots of other places can be very inconsistent, so even if you order the same drink every time, you’ll be surprised every time. Not Sharetea — if you have drink favorites, you will know what you’re getting 98% of the time (in my experience). No funky tastes, weird sweetness levels, inconsistent ratios and tastes, etc. This place is located in a plaza relatively close to CSUF and Troy H.S., so this place (especially towards the evening) is always swarming with students. Parking can be a bit difficult when it’sa busier time since the lot is shared with other businesses. As for the store itself, it’s pretty small, a few spots for 2 people, one larger table for 4, a small bar-like table towards the back, and a couple seats against the wall where people wait for drinks. If you’re looking for a place to sit and study, this isn’t the best spot to do so, it can get quite noisy. During peak hours, the line is always out the door, BUT the service is pretty quick! It’s amazing how quickly they make the drinks despite the amount of orders. For drinks, I have a set list of drinks I get when I go here: -Strawberry black tea (80% or 50% sweetness) -Mango green tea (80% sweetness) -Mango milk tea (80% sweetness) -QQ Happy Family Milk Tea (80% or 50% sweetness) These never fail me and I just switch drinks depending on my mood. I love that with their milk teas, it isn’t overly milky or an overload of tea. The ratio is really good. I believe they use non-dairy milk (not powder, woohoo!) for their milk teas, but it’s best to ask in case. For their fruit teas, I always love how refreshing they are and aren’t head achingly sweet. The boba pearls are also great, not overly mushy/soft and also not super hard. I think I’ve only gotten a couple drinks where the boba was too hard, but very few times. It has been solid all the other times. Prices aren’t that bad! It’s about $5, give or take depending on what drink and the toppings. Their drinks all come in one size so the price does justify the amount you’re getting. Overall, Sharetea has great drinks that are consistent, with great quality and service! They also have stamp cards, so make sure to grab one if you’re a frequent boba drinker!
