The lady and service was very nice and professional. They are a new location and this was our first visit. She patiently answered all questions about items on the menu. We got the puffy waffle, a Matcha milk tea, and a coffee smoothie with Boba. The puffy waffle is like a cross between a waffle and pancake. Itâ??s not crunchy like a traditional waffle, the puffs are not dense, but theyâ??re not light and fluffy; they are somewhere in between. The pancake was kind of plain with not much flavor but they have added fresh banana and strawberries with whip cream and chocolate syrup. Overall we really liked it. The coffee smoothie was really sweet but good The Matcha milk tea is one of the 2 best Iâ??ve had. This will be my new go to place for matcha milk tea in this area.

Happy Lemon Menu with Prices 1645 140th Ave NE # B8, Bellevue

I’ve been to this happy lemon around 3 times since it’s a convenient location for me and have had really high hopes, but I’ve been pretty let down. One thing I liked was the decor and aesthetic of the place since they had air plants as decoration! The service is consistently polite and friendly as well! What’s not so great is the actual bubble tea. I ordered a taro milk tea and when I first tasted it I wasn’t sure if I actually ordered a taro milk tea since it tasted like a plain milk tea. If it had been a plain milk tea it would have been alright (3/5) but since it was supposed to be taro flavor it was really disappointing (1/5). The more I drank it I tasted small amounts of the taro flavor, but it wasn’t very convincing. My friend got the matcha avocado drink and it too was disappointing since neither of us could taste any matcha. As a plain avocado drink it was ok (3/5) but since it was supposed to also taste like matcha it was very subpar (1/5). Another time I got a plain milk tea with the taro pearls (4/5) and I would recommend the taro pearls since they are a fun alternative to boba! The biggest redeeming quality about the place is their bubble waffles(5/5)! If they aren’t too busy you can get a half and half bubble waffle (half chocolate half original). I’m not sure which I prefer since the chocolate flavor is subtle and the original is a little sweeter. Neither are very sweet which I liked. These waffles are chewier than normal waffles so it’s up to your personal preference if you like them. They also offer crema to dip the waffles in (2/5)but it was too sweet and buttery for my liking so I wouldn’t recommend. Overall, the drinks have been underwhelming, but I’ll definitely be back for their bubble waffles! Maybeee I’ll try one of their drinks again later to see if they actually have the flavors listed in the name of the drink. *the numbers in parentheses are my rating of each item out of 5 stars so (4/5) means 4 out of 5 stars.

Hug Life Anti-Dairy Ice Cream n’ Stuff – Menu with Prices – 14241 Euclid St C115, Garden Grove

This place was recommended by my bf sis and I was a bit hesitant at first because usually an ice cream place would have a few vegan selection. But Hug Life had an entire store devoted to vegan. I’m glad I tried this place because you can’t tell that they use almond milk, coconut milk, non-dairy. They brew their own coffee and tea so I sampled Viet coffee and Thai tea. I expected the Viet coffee to be more creamier like ca phe sua da. The Thai tea is decaf and tastes just like Thai tea. Then I went fruity and tried the mango chamoy which is a sorbet. Very good. But my final choice in a small cup 50/50 meaning two scoops in a small cup of banana boy and matcha monsta. Banana boy is exactly like banana bread. The matcha monsta is matcha with oreos. At first, the matcha sample was yummy but when I got the scoop, the oreos was too much and I could no longer taste the matcha. The bf got the mango chamoy drink. I think the guy went crazy with chamoy and tajin. I ended up scooping the mango instead of drinking it through a straw. Don’t forget to check in to get a free topping!

Chyll Rolled Creamery & Boba – Menu with Prices – 27560 Newhall Ranch Rd #307, Santa Clarita

Husband and I drove down the mountain today with our son to try this place out as we were craving boba and there’s nothing up here in Lake Of The Woods…. we were not disappointed to make the drive at all! My husband got the durian smoothie, I got the Lavender Milk Tea and we got our son the honeydew smoothie dairy free. We also decided to share a rolled ice cream in a waffle cone- the one that has the matcha and the black sesame. As we were waiting for our order our son saw someone eating fries and wanted some so I also placed an order for some sweet potato fries. The sweet potato fries were absolutely delicious! They were crispy on the outside but smooth on the inside and topped with some sautéed garlic. It came with ketchup, ranch and the girl working offered us some sweet and spicy sauce to try with them as well- definitely a good suggestion as it paired very well! My husbands durian smoothie was very good (not normally my cup of tea but it was really good but our son wasn’t a fan ) my lavender milk tea was delicious and our son loved his honeydew smoothie. Last to come out was the rolled iced cream- and not only was the presentation beautiful (the guy takes his time making it look good) but it was also delicious. An unmistakeable matcha flavor and the black sesame was so good. It was topped with whipped cream, mochi, fresh strawberries and had a chocolate pocky stick too. Everything was very good and we met who I think may be the manager(s) and they were extremely friendly!! The customer service was excellent as well as the food. We are sad we are moving back to Pasadena in a couple weeks, but my midwife is out in Santa Clarita so I just may make the trek during the remainder of my pregnancy while I’m out here- we want to give the food a try before we move too as the menu was extensive and looked delicious. Was happy to see they had a kids chicken wonton soup as we don’t eat pork and I know we all have a hard time finding porkless wonton. Will definitely be back

Marshall Donuts & Ice Cream – Menu with Prices – 3144 N E St, San Bernardino

I always go here for the Thai Iced Tea with Boba. Super yummy. The boba is always soft and chewy and never hard. It kind of almost feels like it melts in your mouth. The Thai iced tea is always sweet but not too sweet. Honestly the best Thai iced tea I’ve ever had like nothing can compare. Showed my family this place and they love it as well. Honestly, I’ve never tried anything else from this place except the green tea smoothie and the strawberry and banana smoothie. I’ve only tried the green tea smoothie once and I did not like it. I just felt like it didn’t have any flavor like it wasn’t sweet at all. Maybe it was just that time I don’t know. The strawberry banana smoothie is also suppppppper yummy.

First Watch – Pinnacle Village at 119th Street – Menu with Prices – 12040 Blue Valley Pkwy, Overland Park

We stopped by this restaurant after church, and this restaurant welcomed us with friendly staff and amazing food. It reminded me of a big open kitchen that you would see on tv. There were some cast iron skillets hanging up for decoration, and the light fixtures were among some of the most unique ones I’ve seen. Service was excellent, and it did not take long for our food to come out. My husband and I both got the tri-fecta. It included your choice of meat, eggs any way you like, and either a pancake or waffle. With mine, I got the waffle and he got the pancake. The waffle was airy and topped with Powdered sugar. I tasted his Pancake, and I would recommend the waffle over the pancake. The pancake was good…but the waffle was much better (trust me on this). We both topped our meals off with a nice glass of juice. I had a simple apple juice, while my husband had the Kale Tonic Fresh Juice, which was delicious!! I had a very good experience here as a first-Timer, and I will definitely be back!

Tai Tea Anaheim Menu with Prices 9840 Katella Ave, Anaheim

I have been a fan of the Tai Tea franchise since I loved their milk tea and iced milk drinks at the other locations. When I saw they had a BOGO deal, I had to come check it out! However, I never knew someone can mess up on Jasmine Milk Tea so badly…. I am not sure if it was because of the promotion they had, hence they rushed or if it was because of the ingredients in general… Jasmine Milk Tea, half sweet, – it did not have any jasmine taste at all. It was also very bland and did not taste right at all. Not sure what made it taste like this, but i did not taste any jasmine green tea in the milk tea. Very disappointed in this drink since it is always my go-to drink for every store. Berry Lychee tea, half sweet – very little taste of strawberry and lychee. I think since I got half sweet, they lessened the syrup pumps they put in, resulting in a very bitter tea with little to no flavor Triple the trouble – this drink ended up being too sweet for me. The flavor was good though, but tasted just like syrup instead of something fresh and refreshing MangoNada- this was great. Good mango and chamoy flavor and consistency in the slush. WinterMelon milk tea – Did not taste any winter melon in this drink. It was very subtle and the milk tea itself did not taste right. Hong Kong Milk Tea Coffee – This drink was horrible honestly. I was expecting a very strong ceylon milk tea with a hint of coffee because I often drink this type of drink elsewhere and make it at home as well. But this was extremely bitter and did not taste any tea. They need to add more creamer or more tea because it tasted like straight-up black coffee with a splash of milk and sugar. I hope they improve their drinks. I had a very bad experience with my drinks. My family and I ended up throwing away all of our drinks half way because we were so unhappy with them. they did not taste right at all besides the Mangonada.

Midori Matcha Cafe, Old Town Pasadena – Menu with Prices – 165 S De Lacey Ave #1049, Pasadena

I love everything Matcha! I passed this place before and since it was advertising matcha I bookmarked it on yelp. After finishing up at the gym I was craving a cold drink and thought a matcha drink would be perfect. There’s street parking available, but all are metered. I saw a sign inside that says free parking on Dayton street. Once I entered I was already impressed with the store. The interior was done in a clean and classy manner. There weren’t too many decorations, just enough to make it inviting. Their menu revolves around Matcha and I decided to go with their Iced Matcha Latte with low-fat milk (fat free is not available, only 2% and low- fat). The total came out to be $6.57, which is a hefty price for a drink. Since the drink was quite expensive I was hoping the quality was amazing and it did not disappoint. I saw the staff make the drink. They used actual Matcha powder, which based on the taste was high quality. A Matcha drink is not complete unless a Bamboo whisk is used and they did just that. Before milk was added the matcha drink was 85%/90% full! At other locations it’s all about the milk and less Matcha. Once I got the drink I was excited to give it a try. After the first sip I was instantly in love. It was the perfect Matcha drink. Matcha itself isn’t sweet, so don’t expect the drink to be sweet. There is liquid sweetener if needed, but I like my matcha natural. Overall I was impressed with my drink and will be coming back to try their soft serve or even another drink! The drinks may be a bit expensive, but the quality is definitely there. Also it’s a perfect place to catch up with friends over a hot/cold coverage or if you need a study place this is it! Update: I tried the Matcha coconut and it is the best. They use Harmless Harvest coconut water which is my favorite!

Jasmine Kocha – Menu with Prices – 3129 Meridian Ave, San Jose

We came here because they had their promo of buy one, get one drink 1.99 (Extended until the 15th of October btw, make sure you show them their Facebook post and like it)! The service is nice and they like to try helping you order. I believe it’s family run as they all came out from the back and were snacking together in the front. This made me worry about who was in the back making the teas or letting the stuff sit there.. What we ordered and how it came out: Matcha Latte: little ice, reg sweet, no topping: Matcha powder is low quality/weak and had a powdery aftertaste. You could really only taste the milk as it seemed like they didn’t use a lot of matcha as they’re supposed to. Choco milk tea: less ice, reg sweet, no topping: Could really only taste Hershey syrup and no tea. Might as well just call it just chocolate milk. Red Moonshine: less ice, reg sweet, with mango popping boba. This is a strawberry and watermelon fused drink! You can’t taste the strawberry but can taste the watermelon. The tea is weak in this one as well and the popping boba wasn’t great either, which REALLY surprised me…you can never go wrong with popping boba unless you keep it out of the fridge for a long period of time and then serve it, like this place did. Ahhh… Long story short: they use the cheapest things to serve customers and it’s not worth the drive or the promo. There’s much better places around San Jose that does a lot better. I don’t think I’ll be back :/

Kaffee Haus – Menu with Prices – e, 1599 S St Francis Dr, Santa Fe

Drove by this place on the way into the square and decided to stop by. It’s really adorable and the barista working was very polite and asked if my drink was good or bad after I tried it. I ordered a “chunky monkey” which was a mixture of chocolate and banana and any choice of dairy or dairy substitute. I ordered mine without the milk and added 2 shots of espresso. To be honest I really enjoyed it. The banana is hard to taste over the chocolate but it was good, not too sweet and not overbearing with the chocolate. They have pastries as well as breakfast items and a couple of tables on the side if you’ve got time to sit down and enjoy the day.

It’s Boba Time – Menu with Prices – 136 S Brand Blvd, Glendale

We were craving boba and happened to be in the area we decided to stop by Boba Time for a couple drinks. The line was extremely long but we decided to wait it out. We ordered the Strawberry Matcha & Mango Peach Smoothie. My Strawberry Matcha drink wasn’t good, it tasted very watered down, not sweet enough, and barely had any strawberry flavor once it was all mixed together. Definitely not comparable to Boba Guys’ Strawberry Matcha Latte if you’ve ever had it. I would say the boba helped add sweetness to the drink, otherwise it would’ve been very bland and not much of a pleasure to drink. I would probably try a different drink next time if I was in the area and wanted boba again. The Mango Peach Smoothie tasted like your average Mango Peach Smoothie at other boba spots. Nothing too special about it but it tasted way better than the Strawberry Matcha.

The Smoothie Room – Menu with Prices – 25 W Crystal Lake St Suite 163, Orlando

Arrived around 6:00pm or so, which wasn’t a busy time. I had the “Chocolate Factory”, which had almond milk, almond butter, dark chocolate, organic cacao, banana, and peanut butter. I usually dislike peanut butter in any smoothie because it usually overpowers all the other flavors. This smoothie has a nice balance of all the ingredients and it actually has made me more open-minded to smoothies with peanut butter. The cashier was new and she was friendly, asking what type of smoothie I would like. She recommended 3, “Health Nut”, “Butter Face”, and “Chocolate Factory”, based of what I told her. I thought “Butter Face” was a funny name. She and the other employee were nice to answer my question on what “maca” was, and if I could have a menu copy. Right now, the prices will change, so she said I am welcome to just take a picture of the menu. I’d definitely come back here for a smoothie fix! Delicious smoothie and great customer service. The ambience is relaxing too with the art decorations. The prices were reasonable too, for the quality.

Ball Ball Waffle – Menu with Prices – 2999 Payne Ave Suite 126, Cleveland

So having heard about Ball Ball I had to give them a try. Located in the middle of the Asiatown Plaza in a small storefront is Ball Ball Waffle. They have taken the space and added some nice touches, including the white tile walls in the kitchen area, the rough hewn wood counter and the “Ball” letters on the wall. The menu has a number of sweet waffles, a couple of savory waffles and drinks. Having stopped by twice I have tried both a sweet and a savory waffle. The waffles are kind of the reverse of what we are used to, instead of a thick waffle with indents, Ball Ball makes waffles that are thicker balls connected by thinner batter. My first time I got one of the traditional waffles topped with condensed milk and peanut butter to which I added a scoop of chocolate ice cream. The waffle is made into a sort of cone and served in a cup with the ice cream in the middle. Although a bit difficult to eat with the ice cream, it tasted really good, the waffle is mildly sweet with a firm outside and soft inside. The waffle serves as a good canvas on which they can paint the other flavors to make a small masterpiece. The cheese waffle was interesting, as the waffle batter is still a bit sweet and contrasts nicely with the cheese that has been caramelized by the waffle iron. Served flat, this is easier to eat as you can just pull off individual balls. Ball Ball is well worth a visit if you are looking for a snack, light meal or something sweet. The waffles are a bit softer then the traditional American style waffle. Be aware that the hours are limited with the shop open from 11am – 4pm most days. Would love if they were open later in the day on the weekend so you could grab some waffles after dinner.
