On Jasons deli mobile app I ordered a California club without bacon/tomato/mayo and add honey mustard. Pic below shows they did not give any honey mustard or mayo (super dry sandwhich) or guacamole, or field greens. Instead they put on some spinach leaves. Also they forgot my blue corn chips and salsa that I had ordered. I wish I could say this was my only bad experience here but it is not. Last time I ordered a white chocolate cookie but got an oatmeal cookie insted (not earth shattering, just pretty annoying). My orders have been right several times, but also wrong just as many. When I order on their mobile app it takes a long time for them get it ready. The cashier sometimes doesn’t know how to find our order when I use their mobile app. I really hope management works on these issues. The service is always friendly there, however several workers seem inept. More training is needed. And ALWAYS check your to-go order!

Crumbles Cookies – Menu with Prices – 1191 Magnolia Ave Suite C, Corona

This place honestly has the best cookies around, 100%. The cookies are all baked fresh every day and they even have “day old” cookies on sale for cheaper (which are still good). The cookies are on the pricier side, but they’re definitely worth it. Pretty much every cookie I’ve had has been just a great flavor and texture with just the right amount of sweetness. And the cookies are relatively large. They do switch up a couple options on the menu, so while they definitely have their main staples, they do have some seasonal items that aren’t around forever. I’ve had a Lavender Oatmeal cookie from them that I loved but haven’t seen since. Pretty much every cookie is great, although I will say I appreciate all the different oatmeal cookie options without raisins. I can confidently say I do love oatmeal cookies now. Everyone who works here is also just as sweet as their baked goods. You’ll always get good customer service coming here. I would for sure recommend coming here for your cookie needs.

Tacos El Cuñado at the Downtown Market – Menu with Prices – 435 Ionia Ave SW #100, Grand Rapids

Great food, less than stellar service. Only been to this location 2 times, but I was forgotten both times. First time: I ordered at the counter (I believe it was 3 tacos, nothing crazy), and waited, as can be expected. After I saw several people that had ordered after me and had larger order receive their food before I did, I checked in with the cashier, and they hadn’t even started my order. I believe they said they had misplaced my order ticket. Second time: I ordered online. The site said it would be ready in 30 minutes or so. I arrived about 35-40 minutes after placing the order, told the cashier I had ordered online, and they said it would be ready soon. A little disappointing, since I had given them more time than they said they had needed, but whatever, it happens. After I waited around for maybe 10 minutes, I asked again, and the cashier turned back to the counter, looked at the only bag that was sitting there, saw that it was my order, and gave it to me. They were apologetic that they hadn’t called my name when my order was ready and offered me something for free, but I declined since I just wanted to go home and eat as opposed to having to wait around more, especially since the food wasn’t just for me.. To make matters worse, I don’t think it was a situation where they had just finished my order and that the cashier didn’t notice they had put my bag on the counter, but I’m quite confident that my order was sitting there when I showed up in the first place, meaning the cashier hadn’t even checked to see if my order was ready, and thus my food had been sitting and getting colder for at least 10 minutes. I’m planning on checking out the other locations hoping for better experiences. I love the food, but was disappointed and frustrated by the service both times at the Downtown Market location.

Cluster Busters – Menu with Prices – 3636 Page Blvd, St. Louis

Takes too long to receive your meal and when I finally received my 4 orders 1 was incorrect. We got there at 3:45 and didn’t leave until 5 pm waiting on our food that costed me 100.00. I was told that they were out of lobster tails because a customer earlier that bought five of them at one time. Once she show me my order which was incomplete. I’m missing my sausage for this drip drip platter the cashier then stated to me that’s why he put an extra corn in your plate because of the sausage was not ready it will be another 20 minutes. So just imagine how I was feeling after waiting all this time and was never asked can we replace it with another type of meat instead just put what they wanted to in my order. I stated it to the cashier OK I don’t have 20 more minutes to wait I’ve been here over an hour almost 2 can you all replace it with another meat or just remove the sausage off of my order the cashier then stated no we can’t replace the sausage with another meat because it’s a side so that’s why he gave you an extra corn. I then stated it to the cashier you cannot replace a vegetables for meat and didn’t communicate to me. A lesson for every business your first impression should always be your best impression. So I just told her to refund my order. I will not be supporting any business that can’t communicate with customers about their orders. Some people may settle for less but me myself I work to hard for my money. Always check your orders before leaving the restaurants.

Salt of the Earth Bakery – Menu with Prices – 630 Flushing Ave #4C, Brooklyn

just flew back on a Delta ‘red-eye’…..and had a Salt of the Earth ‘The Cookie’ and think it’s the best cookie I’ve ever tasted!!! My cardiologist may “kill me” but……so what!! Try “The Cookie”. It is killer good.

Tim Hortons – Menu with Prices – 3502 E Hastings St, Vancouver

This new location opened some time this week, and I went with friends last evening. I do hope that training issues will be resolved soon. Our two orders of red velvet hot chocolate did not get sprinkles–missing, according to staff. Based on the label in the showcase, I asked for a vanilla dip donut. “We don’t have those,” reports the cashier. I actually wanted the honey dip donut from that tray; so I pointed and asked for a honey dip. Cashier pulled out a honey cruller from the next tray. (No worries. I like them, too.) But the honey cruller was THE WORST commercial donut I have ever eaten. (I managed to eat half of it.) I don’t know if it was fried too long or just left on the shelf too long, but it was awful. There we have it. Maybe management will work hard to improve service. I’ll update this review if I find it is better.

Kabob House Food Corner Menu with Prices 933 N Quincy St, Arlington

It takes a really long time to get your order. I’ve stopped by a handful of times from the week after their grand opening to a month later and things aren’t better. They make everything on order, including grilling the kabob fresh, which is great because it’s fresh and tasty. But it takes a long time during lunch hour. I ordered a kabob dish and the cashier did not recommend it for lunch time because it takes 20 minutes. I also think that the salads would be better with some tasty additions, such as pickled vegetables (turnips, onions, radishes). Otherwise, the meat is excellent — well seasoned, tender, tasty. The bread is outstanding. There also seems to be some workflow issues that need improvement, which I think — if fixed — would make it better. I ordered before three other people and all of those folks got my order before mine. Two of them ordered the exact same item and the server called out the order by dish, not name, so the two who came after me got their orders before I did. I hope that these issues are improved because they are one establishment after several that have not succeeded in that particular spot.

Cool Tea Bar – Menu with Prices – 2569 S King Rd #8C, San Jose

The new location is nicer and more updated, don’t get me wrong.. but it’s just not the same anymore. Cool Tea Bar was mine and my bf’s go-to spot because it was so close to his house and a large size was always perfect for us to share. This new one is just a bit further down the street, but we noticed the service is no where near the same as the old place. Each time coming here so far, there were only 2 guys working. One from the old location and one new face. All of the times, it got just a tad bit busy while we were there. Busy for one person, but would be fine with two. The cashier takes everyones order and makes the drinks by himself while the other guy just stands in the back, visibly seen eating chips and on his phone. Keep in mind the poor cashier kept taking orders because people kept coming in, which meant the drinks were just getting backed up and the other guy never stopped snacking/looking at his phone and helped! So not only did everyone who ordered have to wait longer than usual, but the place is not as spacious as the last so it got crowded in there. I still love our go-to drink here, but the management needs to do some serious looking into what their employees are doing on the clock. He wasn’t even trying to hide in the back or anything, he was completely visible to everyone in the store just munching and staring down at his phone.

Fat Belly Pretzels Menu with Prices 15800 Awalt Dr, Austin

These pretzels are amazing – they are soft and crunchy and perfectly salted. The dips were delicious (I thought I was just getting Honey Mustard, but it turned out to be Honey Mustard BUTTER which was amazing beyond my wildest dreams). We are going to be getting these pretzels from now on! The kids are fighting over them, so next time I’m going to get more!

Insomnia Cookies – Menu with Prices – 116 E University Dr Suite 104, Tempe

Stopped around 11:30 pm on Wednesday and people were still coming and going. The inside is quite small so the line was kinda out the door. The menu is easy to read and they have prices and all the different cookie selections posted. They also sell ice cream sandwiches! My friend ended up getting the combo which included two cookies and a milk for about $6. I wanted a sugar cookie but unfortunately they didn’t have any… So I ended up getting an oatmeal raisin. The oatmeal raisin was dry and a little on the harder side… I felt like I was eating a cookie from frys.. They were unfortunately out of a lot of cookies on this night so the selection was limited.. I looked at the ice cream selection they had and I literally LOLed when I saw what kind of vanilla ice cream they had… Umm is that the party ice cream tubs you can buy at the grocery store?…. The employees were friendly but umm not sure if they take their job serious.. the inside is dark and feels sketchy. The floor had dried up sticky ice cream all over.. and so did the table.. I definitely would pass on this. There are so many cookie shops popping up that are 10000x better then this…

Stirred, Not Shaken – Menu with Prices – 3334 18th St, San Francisco

I am not a cookie person. My family members are not cookie people. In fact, we don’t even really eat sweets or desserts. But these cookies are sinfully delicious… which is why my non-cookie family ordered approximately 20 cookies this week from “Stirred, Not Shaken.” The cookies are large, chewy, and soft in the middle. There’s a subtle variation of textures, and when you bite into the cookie you get a nice doughy, hearty bite. The cookie in the picture is ginger molasses. It’s possibly my favorite cookie of all time. It’s got a balanced sweetness with ginger that gives it a little something special (like a bit of kick, but it’s not spicy… know what I mean?). I took a few bites before realizing I should write a review on Yelp — but by then, the damage was done. My brother ordered Oatmeal Walnut and gave rave reviews. He is usually deadpan and avoids superlatives / high praise… but he shelled some out for these cookies. I don’t know what’s going on. tl;dr: fantastic cookies. highly recommend.

Sherwood Supermarket – Menu with Prices – 111 Sherwood Dr, Ottawa

So I heard that this place has sandwiches that rival DiRienzo’s (on Beech, really close by) so I had to check it out. In terms of cleanliness, this place has DiRienzo’s beat in my opinion. Only the staff handle the bread, unlike DiRienzo’s where the bread is in open baskets and customers stick their hands in and grab the bun they want and place it on the counter and the staff take it to make the sandwich. I also didn’t see any flies at Sherwood Supermarket. You get your choice of bread (egg bread, rye, whole wheat, white, 12-grain or 7-grain). I had the egg bread. It’s sandwich slices style not bun style. I had the ham sandwich special ($3.99). It came with cheese, tomato, lettuce and your choice of mayo, regular mustard, Dijon mustard, honey mustard, or “Sherwood Sauce” which is apparently mayo, mustard and black pepper. I had the Dijon mustard and let me tell you, it is potent. My sinuses cleared up immediately! The bread was very fresh and soft. The ham was tasty and the toppings were fresh and generous. The sandwiches range in price from $3.99 to $4.99. The DiRienzo sandwiches are larger (but they are all $5, so Sherwood Supermarket is cheaper depending on what you get), but not necessarily tastier. I still really like the DiRienzo (Hot) Roast Beef Sandwich – it’s real roast beef, not deli meat, but I think for cold cut sandwiches, I will be going to Sherwood Supermarket instead. I’d say that the sandwiches at Sherwood Supermarket are similar to the sandwiches at Continental Delicatessen (in the Byward Market). They have a small parking lot in front.

Domini Sandwiches – Menu with Prices – 703 W Sprague Ave, Spokane

I have been going here for years. Their sandwiches are the best: fresh bread, fresh cheese and fresh meat. It’s all about the cheese and meat here! I always get the sourdough bread, swiss cheese and the sliced turkey, which are my favorites. I always do take out and order it ‘dry’, which means no mayo or mustard; I take them home and divide a sandwich into about 4 servings, and then voila!! I have 4 meals. I always have mayo in my fridge. Believe it or not, they last very well in the fridge with no loss in quality.! The staff is superb. Mr. Sandwichmaker (I don’t know his name) is incredible, and the person (I don’t know his name) at the cash register is always welcoming. You can’t do wrong here, whether you eat in or do take out. I highly recommend Domini’s and it’s a place to never be missed.
