We were driving by and saw this newish Burger Place and took a chance. I ordered the Bacon Burger Combo and my husband had the Jalapeño Burger Combo. It was about $13 bucks a piece. But definitely worthy of the price! It was not your average frozen patty…it was a juicy restaurant quality burger. The bun was Brioche…I think? It was soft and delicious. The bacon was crispy and my husband’s jalapeños were fresh and grilled! So 5 stars for this burger joint! Only suggestion is, turn down the air. It was a little warm inside and its a HOT day and a little cluttered…but we will definitely be back!

Not Just Burgers – Menu with Prices – 11720 Montana Ave Ste A6, El Paso

Found a great place for a great tasting burger that doesn’t cost a fortune. Walked into the restaurant which was very clean. Placed my order and it was out within three minutes, which was great. There were a couple of orders before mine, but orders came out quickly. Ordered the Jalapeno combo which was great. There was plenty of bacon, jalapenos, grilled onions, and burger to fill the bun up very nicely, along with the fries. Also ordered a Colita de Pack torta combo, which was also great tasting and very filling. Will definitely be back to try out more from the menu. Great place to eat at. Wait staff was also very helpful.

CALIBOMBNIA – Menu with Prices – 17446 Kuykendahl Rd, Spring

All the reviews are spot on! This place is 10/10.. Now it’s not In N Out but, it’s definitely really good. For starters you get fresh avocado and bacon(I don’t even eat bacon but, it was so good!!) did I mention FRESH?! I was skeptical because, it is placed inside of a gas station but, it’s definitely worth a try. I got me and my boyfriend the original Cali burger combo! You get fresh avocado, bacon, red and white onion all on this burger. Even the bun tasted fresh. The fries? Perfectly seasoned and crisp. I forgot to take pictures because, it looked so good but even the size of the burgers is perfect, a bit too big for my liking, but for the price the combo is worth it. I will definitely be back! (Also, the size of the thousand island dressing they give you on the side is a decent amount, compared to where most restaurants may give you a wee bit). Don’t miss out on this really great restaurant since it’s in a gas station. Thank you!

The Habit Burger Grill – Menu with Prices – 209 S Kings Dr Suite 103, Charlotte

The Habit is a newly-opened burger joint in the Metropolitan plaza, just outside of uptown, Charlotte. Since opening, we have been receiving coupons in the mail for it, and eventually decided to check out the Yelp reviews and decide on going. It suffices to say, I am really glad we did. We went around 6:00PM on a Friday, and there were a few people in the restaurant, but nothing crazy. We were very, and I mean VERY warmly greeted by the staff. Everyone working at this location is incredibly friendly, and I was blown away by the level of service and hospitality received here, definitely rivaling an experience at Chik-Fil-A. Our order: -Single charburger combo (add cheese and bacon) w/Tempura Fried Green Beans -Double charburger combo (add cheese) with fries The Total: ~$23 (I was expecting Five Guys-esque prices, and was very pleased with the comparatively-reasonable total!) The first thing I noticed about The Habit that I was very impressed by was the very comprehensive additional toppings bar you’re provided with, in addition to everything you can add to your burger when ordering. Everything from jalapenos to pepperocinis (my personal favorites) are provided to be added to your burger, as well as Heinz Malt Vinegar for the fries, and additional sauces. Once the food came out, we were definitely impressed. The burgers have a very strong char-grilled taste, very reminiscent of a significantly-higher quality Burger King burger. The toppings are fresh, the Fries are delicious, and the fried green beans are very good. My only critique of the fried green beans is that there’s very little in the way of additional flavor with the regular ranch they’re served with, and they could definitely benefit from a wasabi, or chipotle ranch. They currently offer a seasonal Sriracha-Lime variety of the fried green beans that we did not spring for, but likely address this issue. It’s worth noting that the onion rings look fantastic, and I’ll definitely be trying these soon. Overall, The Habit has a nearly immaculate service staff, very good food and all of the toppings you could ask for at a burger joint. I expected to like it, but left deeply impressed and will definitely return.

The Booyah Shed – Menu with Prices – 3702, 1800 S Ashland Ave, Green Bay

Discovered the brick and mortar location this week. And I can report that this is a must stop if you are looking for cheap eats in GB! Booyah is only $3.50 a bowl and $1 a cup! First visit tried a bowl and an Angry bacon jam grilled cheese (jalapeño’s added for free!). Really good! Genuine sconi booyah. Meaty and good veggies. Grilled cheese is on Texas toast and a good combo. I think to order it again I would ask for the soup at the same time as the soup, I like to dunk. Today, tried a Bacon Jam cheese burger, dude of crinkle fries and a cup of Booyah. Perfect pairing. Side was proper portioned and soup as a starter was stellar. Oh my friend order the tots with Jalapeños! Next time instead of fries!! Outstanding!! Must try.

MOOYAH Burgers, Fries & Shakes – Menu with Prices – 5365 Alton Pkwy A2, Irvine

MOST RECENT UPDATE: After Mooyah kindly reached out to me again and sent me a gift card to try their burgers again, I decided to change my review from 1 star to 3 stars. The food was better and came out fresh. We had the double cheeseburger, Mushroom Swiss burger, sharable fries, and the Oreo milkshake. The double cheeseburger was a solid good burger and the oreo milkshake was creamy and had lots of oreos mixed in. I also like how they use a potato bun. It’s super soft and goes well with the meat. The Mushroom Swiss burger on the other hand was very bland. It felt like it was missing something like an aioli sauce or something to bring out the mushroom flavor. I’ve had a lot of mushroom burgers and this is by far the blandest. And the fries! The fries omg it wasn’t as hot or crispy on the outside compared to other burger joints. Didn’t taste fresh at all. Still tasted like it was sitting under a heat lamp. They do give a lot though! Overall, the double cheeseburger and the oreo milk shake were the best. I think they need to work on their other burgers a little bit more and definitely on the turn around rate for the fries. You need to have good hot fries to eat with a burger! Not bad Mooyah, you got some good potential. UPDATE: So apparently the owner of Mooyah, Ron Camera reached out to me and told me he would send me a gift card to come back and try the food again. It’s been almost 3 months now and I still have received anything. Some of the other yelpers that received the same email said they never got a gift card too. Wow that’s crazy like you say you want people to try your food again and promise a gift card but never actually send it out? Hella sketchu Oh man we expected so much more than this! This place had good reviews so we decided to try it for dinner tonight but was immensely disappointed!! The fries were lukewarm and tasted like it had been out for hours. Not fresh at all!! We ordered the Bacon Chedder burger and the mushroom Swiss burger. Our buns were cold…like fridge cold wtf. And the patties were dry and Luke warm like they were under the heater for over an hour. The mushrooms in the burger were cold too. Terrible! We paid $25 for food we threw away sauce it was that bad. Carl’s Jr. would have had better burgers and be half the price. This place needs a wake up call

Matty G?s Steakburgers & Spirits – Menu with Prices – 18425 N 51st Ave, Glendale

Matty G’s is a casual family restaurant with a sports theme atmosphere. The menu is mostly burgers. They use grass fed beef and serve the burgers in mostly two 4oz patties that are nicely caramelized. They offer cocktails and beer on tap and milkshakes made with frozen custard. This is a casual restaurant. You get full service at the bar but if you want to sit at a table you order and pay at the bar like any other fast casual restaurant. I went with a non-burger option and got a “birdie” platter combo. I had my choice of fried or grilled and went with grilled. The chicken was caramelized and served on a soft toasted bun. The chicken was ever so slightly over cooked but still good and was a tasty sandwich. For my side I got the onion rings. The onion rings were very hardy and very bread-ee. My husband got the “All Star” burger platter combo. His burger(s) was nicely caramelized. He received a MOUNTAIN of garlic parm fries that came with fry sauce. His only complaint is that he thought each burger patty should have a slice of cheese instead of just one slice of cheese between the patties. I think the food overall was A-OK and an A-ok is three stars. This is a neighborhood restaurant so that means that you aren’t going to travel across town to eat here. You come here if you live nearby and want something casual and not too fancy. The help were especially helpful and friendly.

Uncle Daddy’s B&B – Menu with Prices – 4608 Bryant Irvin Rd Suite 440, Fort Worth

Stopped in for lunch on Wednesday with my regular group. Stayed safe and ordered the cheeseburger added thick-cut bacon. Season was excellent Burger came out looking beautiful bacon was exactly what I was looking for and although I’m not a big fan of french fries they were hot fresh and has just the right amount of salt on them that I ended up eating every scrap of those as well. Burger was well done but still good. Both of my friends ate every bit of their food as well the chili dog, and the two Meat special. But I saw about five other things go out that I really wanted to try. The Rufus will be the first one. Thanks for a great lunch keep up the good work!! Post script: I’m changing my review to five stars to offset the guy that gave them one star for the the blue cheese burger in two meat combo. Hot food and great service. I thought I was tough. Jeez

Mr Bud’s Brothers Carryout – Menu with Prices – 3404 N Arkansas Ave, Wichita

Mr. Bud’s has had a slew of different owners over the last ten years. The latest are two brothers that have been in the restaurant business for a while. The place is nondescript and sort of off the beaten path, but very accessible off I135 (exit at 29th St. N) or I 235/K 96 (at Broadway) AND the Broadway Street Bus (#13) stops right at their front door. The place is primarily known as a burger joint, but also offers some sandwiches.I honestly consider this the best burger in town. The meat is locally sourced and seasoned to just add a hint of flavor. Although the burger is smashed to the grill to start, it is cooked to medium side of medium well with a little pink showing. The veggie toppings are cut/prepared so as not to slide off the sandwich; so the onions are tomatoes are diced and the ROMAINE lettuce is shredded. It is a very subtle touch that makes a difference. I also like the grilled ham and cheese. It is very simple, but tasty due to the quality of the ham. Other fun sandwiches such as a club made with grilled cheese are on the menu. What also stands out are the French fries. They are PERFECT: crispy on the outside, soft and pillowy on the inside; and tossed in a pleasant seasoning salt. Fried okra is also available, YUM!They offer random, smaller sweet treats that rotate for dessert. The brothers tell me that a lot of their regular traffic is from the locals. I am very, very lucky to be one of the locals.

Saigon Block – Menu with Prices – 2150 Arapaho Rd, Richardson

This was the best Vietnamese dining experience ever. The food was delicious and the authentic. We ordered the medium sized baked fish for a party of four and it was plenty. The fish was crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. I was surprised how moist the fish was considering it was baked. I expected it to be dry, but instead it was moist. There were sprinkles of toasted garlic and green onion covering the fish that helped compliment the soft fish. There’s plenty of leafy greens and herbs for the spring rolls that came out with the fish. The combination of the warm crispy fish with the fresh vegetables feels light and flavorful. The textures in this dish was helped enhance flavor of each wrap. We also ordered the imperial spring rolls and beef three way. We ate the beef rolls by wrapping it in lettuce and dipping it in the sauce. I really enjoyed the imperial spring roll. There was what felt like a crispy egg roll wrapped in the inside. When I bit into the spring roll it was warm and savory.

Steve’s Classic Burgers – Menu with Prices – 817 St Andrews Rd #106, Columbia

Best burger there is. Today I finally managed to try this place for the first time. It’s small (moving to a larger building) but great. The first thing I noticed were the Bible’s on the tables and the prayer wall. Then the employees chatting with customers. They were very friendly and helpful. I ordered the classic with cheese, mushrooms, and grilled onion combo. They made the burger fresh and they have a topping buffet so you can add what you want to the burger which was nice, because it leaves no room for error on their part. I have had bad experiences with other burger places leaving things off my burger. I also ordered the peach cobbler and took the food to-go. I took the first bite and it was a winner. It was perfectly seasoned and juicy and fresh. I had my husband try it and he was very impressed. It tasted like a homemade grilled burger (much better than five guys type places, in my opinion.) The cobbler was very good also, however if you like yours with a crispy topping, it’s probably not for you. I will definitely be back. The price is pretty good, comparable to other good burger places, but the taste is much better. I am overly full after eating the burger and fries and could definitely have turned it into two meals if it had not been too good to stop eating. Lol The only thing I would suggest, to bring in more business, is to get a gluten free bun. That is the only reason I can’t bring my family as my daughter can’t have gluten. Get some gluten free buns and charge .75¢-$1 extra for it. You will have a lot more business because gluten free is not only a trend right now but an allergy for a lot of people. Thanks. ð???

Omega Drive-In – Menu with Prices – 309 W Chapman Ave, Orange

Surprisingly good – and filling – food! We’ve walked by Omega countless times, strolling from Chapman into Old Orange in search of food, always commenting on how good the charred meat smells, but never stopping in. But, on one of our latest visits, we were too lazy to go for our normal stroll (and, honestly, I was unwilling to eat at the same places again), so we decided to give Omega a shot. On our way into the restaurant, a nice older gentleman stopped us to regale us with stories of their chicken dinner special – the flavors, the cost, the sides. He was so intent on sharing all the good news with us that we didn’t actually set foot inside the restaurant for another five minutes. Once inside, we really got a sense as to how long this place has been in business. If the owners were to send a note to their customers saying they’d be shutting down for a quick remodel, could you blame them? The menu board is straight out of the mid- to late-70s. The decor isn’t too far behind. But, the food, as I mentioned above, was surprisingly delicious. My husband got the Omega Burger, and added bacon. I got the Gyro combo (who goes to a burger joint and orders a gyro? THIS GIRL!) We got our food to go, so we could take it back to Chapman. We had beers to drink, after all. The gyro sandwich was packed full of juicy, flavorful meat. The tzatziki was equal parts creamy and chunky, with a nice – but not overpowering – dilly/tarty bite. My husband was making yummy noises over his burger, and in between bites and mmm’s, he repeatedly shared how happy he was in his decision to get a single burger, instead of the double he’d contemplated. Cuz, you know – the single was an extra-large burger on its own, and his combo came with fries and a drink (as did the gyro combo, by the way). So – on our next stop at Chapman, we decided to forgo their food truck in favor of Omega once again. This time the restaurant was full to bursting (the Old Towne Orange festival was on at the same time), but the food still came out quickly enough. And yes, this time, my husband did end up getting the double cheeseburger, no bacon, and no sides. He was able to finish it – barely – and was stuffed for days afterwards. Me? I got the gyro again, and though the pita was a bit crispier and the meat a bit dryer, it still filled the void.
