I recently have been going to the Palmdon location near Herndon but this location has opened and is way closer to me since it is by Fresno State. I went on their Grand Opening day which was a few days ago. I ordered a sandwich that I always get which was called (vegetarian) Handsome Owl. My ultimate favorite sandwich! I was excited to eat especially because I was starving after work. All the workers seemed like they got out of jail which was kind of creepy to me but their customer service was good and I liked it. While I was waiting for my sandwich I overheard the cooks and the cashiers talking about how to make my boyfriends sandwich and also my sandwich which I thought was a little funny to hear. I ignored it because maybe they’re new you know? Anyway… I got my sandwich and first thing I noticed was a small hair on top of the wrapper literally in the middle of my sandwich and I ignored it as well because hey at least it wasn’t in my sandwich. I took a bite of my sandwich and it tasted plain and felt like something was missing so I opened up my sandwich and saw that the teriyaki sauce wasn’t in there when it says on the menu that there should be teriyaki sauce and wasabi mayo. I just tasted the wasabi mayo alone (ew!) so I asked my boyfriend to go ask for a side of teriyaki sauce and so they gave it to him and I was happy afterwards. As I finished up my sandwich, I was in the mood for the lollipop that should’ve been in my bag with some napkins. Well, there was no lollipop but my boyfriend had one so I took his. Just last night my boyfriend and I wanted a Handsome Owl sandwich and so he ordered one and came back and it had no teriyaki sauce again or lollLike come on guys, it says in the description that there’s teriyaki sauce included. At this point I’m just going to continue going to the Palmdon location where they serve us good. UPDATE: after 2 months of this review, I’ve gone a couple more times and the staff got even more friendlier and I have not seen the same faces since my last review. Looks like there’s new people who are much more nicer and welcoming than before. I get greeted every time I come in to grab a quick bite. The blonde cashier is always in a good mood I wish I knew her name! Whenever I get my food I’m asked if I want a lollipop. Right on!

Saltgrass Steak House – Menu with Prices – 8440 International Dr, Orlando

The first time we went, right after they opened, it was ok. My steak was decent; though not cooked correctly. Service was just ok. Having been to their Lake Buena Vista location – which was great – we went back to this location and give it a second shot. Unfortunate idea. It was 7:45 and the place was fairly slow. We were the only people sitting at the bar. Bartender took our drink order and got them out fast. Placed our order, and that was the last we saw of the bartender for awhile. We both needed refills and he was no where to be found. Our fried mushrooms came out and were good. Little did we know they would be the best part of the meal. Both my boyfriend and I ordered the Nashville Hot sandwich. I have previously had it at the another location, and it was fantastic. It took a solid 20+ minutes after the app for the two sandwiches to come out. The first thing I noticed was my side of mac and cheese was just mac. There was no cheese on the noodles. The bar manager overheard me pointing it out to my boyfriend, and offered to get me something else. I declined, figuring the sandwich was really enough. We bite into our sandwiches, and the chicken was room temperature at best, teetering on cold. Our “Nashville hot” had no hot sauce on it. It was the most bland sandwich ever. I asked the bartender about the sauce and he leaned in for a closer look at our sandwiches and said that if they put sauce on it, it was way too little. He went to get more. By this time, the sandwiches were actually cold. The “Nashville hot” sauce, was not hot at all. It was honey based and runny. It had some sentiment at the bottom of the bowl that looked like pieces of burnt bread. The manager came back over and I told her that the sauce seemed off and just tasted like honey. She said it was honey sriracha – which is nothing like Nashville Hot sauce. We left the sandwiches there, paid our bill and left. We’re local, and just scratched it off the list of places we’ll be going. I will say, to her credit, the manager asked if we wanted dessert. We declined.

Sushi Go Go – Menu with Prices – 119 Harbor Way B, Santa Barbara

My boyfriend and I came to the harbor hoping to enjoy some fresh fish. I ordered off the special rolls menu and got the salmon/avocado roll. My boyfriend ordered a teriyaki bowl. And we got the mussels to share. The mussels were good! Maybe a little hard on the spicy mayo, but still good. That raised my review to three stars, plus, my boyfriend enjoyed his teriyaki bowl. My salmon/avocado roll was very disappointing. At first I didn’t even believe it was salmon because of how discolored and dark the fish was and then once I started eating it I could tell it was really old fish, which is what prompted me to write this review. I looked them up on yelp and saw all the food poisoning reviews and now I’m feeling a little nervous tbh since both my boyfriend and I aren’t feeling too hot stomach wise

Lychee Kitchen – Menu with Prices – 23450 N 19th Ave, Phoenix

This review is based off of my main dish. I ordered the spicy tuna roll. Which is difficult to mess up. Its spicy so theres a kick present. But its ever so slight. I had to amp it by adding wasabi to each bite. I ordered the General Tsos Chicken. Which on the menu has an indicator letting you know its spicy. It wasnt. It tasting literally like maple syrup. There was no spice present. There wasnt even a smokey flavor. It was just sweet. I couldnt eat another bite without an adjustment made. So i asked for a side of chili oil. Even their chili oil had literally no spice to it. And i used the entire portion of chili oil they provided me with. Probably because its very old or just poorly made. It didnt even make my chicken any better. I picked at the veggies at the plate, requested my check and left. The service was prompt, courteous and friendly. But I guess I feel that I dont go to a resturant for service necessarily but instead i go for the food. But thats just me. I dont believe I will be going back unless its for their Thai Iced Tea. Which I hate to say it was the only tasty thing I ordered. Disappointing considering its a new spot. But Im hoping they make adjustments to their menu otherwise they may not last. Especially since Panda Express is just up the street with better flavors.

Vons Chicken Menu with Prices 650 S Vista Ave, Boise

I am not one to write many reviews.  I do feel the need to review places that go beyond my expectations as well as the ones that fall below my expectations.  I recently saw a news article about Vons Korean chicken that had opened up in the Mr. Wok location on Vista Ave.  I talked to my wife and we decided to try it.  My wife asked for Orange Chicken, I wanted Teriyaki Beef, some Von’s fried chicken and egg rolls to round out our Asian dinning experience.  I walked into Mr. Wok, it was very busy for a weeknight, I thought this is a good sign.  I asked for teriyaki beef and orange chicken, the person behind the counter said, “we do not have orange chicken”, this is when I should have just left the building and went elsewhere.  The thought of Vons Fried Chicken kept me on track to go ahead and order.  I ordered my wife Teriyaki Chicken, and I got the beef. I ordered the honey butter chicken on the recommendation of the cashier.  I was told the wait would be about 25 minutes.  This again was the universe telling me to go elsewhere, but I did not listen, I waited the 25 minutes, picked up my order, paid the cashier, and left the building. To recap,  I got 2 dinners, 1 order of (2)egg rolls, and an 1/2 order of honey butter chicken, bill total $46.00, again the universe asking me to think about how I want to proceed before handing over my debit card, but I didn’t listen. I sat down with my wife to enjoy our Asian bounty, the first thing I did was take a big bite into a mushy eggroll, it tasted like nothing, no flavor hardly at all, what flavor it had was unpleasant.  I moved on to the beef, the beef was tough.  It did taste like teriyaki beef, but for 13.00 a plate. I think I expected more.  The chicken the same as the beef,  tough,  it was hard to eat, but again it tasted like teriyaki chicken , nothing special here for another 13 bucks,    I moved on to a leg on Von’s Korean Fried Chicken.  Let’s give this a shot, I thought to myself, something in this meal has to be worth eating,  It tasted and smelled artificial, like the chicken was fried with no seasoning, and the some type of powder was sprinkled on the chicken, I thought it tasted similar to flavored popcorn salt. Another 13 dollar disappointment. I am sorry Mr. Wok, you have become Mr. NOT when comes to my choice in Asian dining in the Boise area.

Yogis Grill – Menu with Prices – 75 E Rivulon Blvd #108, Gilbert

This is not authentic Japanese food. Now that we’ve gotten that out of the way I’ll give a review of my own experience. I ordered a teriyaki bowl with all white meat. This dish is the most basic of Japanese dishes an American fast food establishment can make. Chicken, rice, scallions, and teriyaki sauce. I got all of that in my dish. The rice was hot and perfectly cooked, the scallions were cut fresh, and the teriyaki sauce tasted like teriyaki sauce. Now for the bad news…the meat. The bowl was topped with what looked like a thin (as in almost flat) chicken breast cutlet that had char-grill marks as if it had been chargrilled. The breast was hot but extremely dry. I’ve seen this lame attempt at chicken before at other restaurants who use one of those two_sided sandwich grills to reheat a precooked piece of chicken. It’s then sprinkled with chargrilled flavoring to fool you into thinking you’re eating a freshly grilled piece of meat. I took it back to the counter and asked if it was made fresh and thecashier told me it was. I then asked if she could clarify whether the chicken had already been cooked before I ordered it and then reheated. She confirmed that this was the case. I explained that this process will always dry out the meat. So she offered to cook another and confirmed to me that they would start with a raw piece of chicken. As it turned out, the new order turned out just as dry. I took a few bites and threw it away and walked out.

Miyabi Jr. Express. – Menu with Prices – 4747 Ramsey St, Fayetteville

If Yelposphere would let me do a review with no stars….here would lie my review. The first thing I noticed the was that all the tables in the restaurant were dirty and full of plates from previous customers. I am not sure if it was a lunch rush or if everyone just left all at once and they were short staffed. I just know it was not a clean table in the place when I initially placed my order. The service was subpar but I was helped pretty quickly. Y’all know I love my Japanese and this was my first time here so I kept it simple with Teriyaki Chicken with the Vegetables. I asked for white sauce and hot sauce….I didn’t even want to take a leap and request some Ginger sauce too. Of course, I had to order to go because there were no clean tables available but it was okay because I didn’t have to go very far. My order was ready really quickly, which is never a good sign at a Japanese restaurant. A few minutes later (food was still hot), I opened my box and wanted to cry real tears because the Teriyaki Chicken literally looked like the mulch made of tree bark tossed in teriyaki sauce. I also had a small amount of “vegetables” (really onions….I could count my pieces of zucchini. There weren’t very many!) and nice helping of rice (which proved to be my only source of nourishment). The chicken was literally ALL dark meat chicken which had been cooked to death…it was so hard. For the amount of money they are charging, they should definitely be using chicken breast for their chicken dishes but they are using chicken thighs….YUCK! Most of my onions and one of my pieces of zucchini were charred. I even had pieces of onion skin in my vegetables, I guess they were in a hurry when they cut the onions! On to the sauce….because the sauce can save a dish! The hot sauce was spicy but just okay and the white sauce left a lot to be desired. Lucky for me, I always keep an emergency bottle of sriracha! Btw, the rice was actually pretty good with my sriracha and some of the teriyaki sauce.

Lucky Teriyaki – Menu with Prices – 7250 Pacific Ave k, Tacoma

I’ve been wanting to try Lucky Teriyaki for a while but it seems whenever I remembered about going it always fell on a Sunday. A day that they weren’t open so I had to “kick the can down the road” until I remembered to go here on a Saturday. Lucky Teriyaki is indeed open during the week but usually after working hibernation in the house is more important. It seems like they are known for their fish and chips here but I wasn’t exactly in the mood for that so I went with their Chicken Teriyaki which has become a new favorite of mine since moving to the Pacific Northwest. I really enjoyed the Chicken Teriyaki here. It had a good flavor and seemed to be of an upper quality as far as the food goes. Service was prompt and friendly which made this meal all the more pleasing.

Ichiban Japanese Restaurant – Menu with Prices – 1831 NW Broad St, Murfreesboro

Just now ordered the *sushi deluxe* on ubereats. 9 pieces of Nigri and one roll. I chose the California roll as my meal as the option. when I opened my to go order it look very good. Looked like I could put it in my mouth whole. wrong! I hope they do know that some people DO NOT LIKE WASABI because it is too spicy and over powering.. They actually put a dot of wasabi in the middle of the rice and then place the raw fish. And I didn’t want it like that but sadly there WAS NOT AN OPTION on the screen and there was not a description of what I was going to get! and a little wasabi goes a long way. Not everyone likes wasabi. so why put wasabi in the middle of the rice? To keep the the raw fish in place? excuse me what? My family owns an ICHIBAN in Port Charlotte Florida. I thought this was going to the same as theirs but nope. The California roll was alright, it’s mini size tho. I enjoyed my meal. well half, Im just really dissatisfied and disappointed in the Nigri. I will gladly stick to oishiya sushi restaurant on cason lane. Good day.

La Michoacana Knoxville – Menu with Prices – 8044 Ray Mears Blvd suite 103, Knoxville

We were curious to try the brightly colored mangonadas featured on the business’s website. If you’ve ever had a Vero Mango Lollipop, the mangonadas are basically the lollipop recreated as a dessert with mango sorbet, chili powder, and fresh mango. We enjoyed them, even though they weren’t what we expected (in a good way). If you aren’t a fan of spicy food, you should go with a different menu option because this dessert has some serious heat! La Michoacana is most definitely 100% authentic. The snacks and treats are not Americanized at all, which we loved. It was fun to try something new and different. They have a huge variety of creamy popsicle flavors such as cheesecake, strawberries & cream, and coconut. Lots of ice cream flavors as well. My 3 year old loved his popsicle with big chunks of fresh fruit in it. The cafe is discretely located in a strip mall area. The employees were super friendly and helped us order even though we were out of our element. Most of the menu is in Spanish, but flavors are listed in English as well. There is seating inside and outside. If you’re in the mood for a treat, be adventurous and try something new! La Michoacana has great Mexican Snacks!

Bob Bob Korean grill and kitchen – Menu with Prices – Bob Bob, 12368 Warwick Blvd, Newport News

My boyfriend & i loved this place. it was always a frequent lunch place for us. today we decided to switch it up & go there for dinner which was a mistake apparently. we came in knowing we were going to get a to-go order & as soon as we walked in the door, the woman working greeted us with a heavy sigh. i understand if she was having a bad night because she usually has wonderful service, however you cannot act this way towards customers no matter your mood. i too work with customers & am always expected to keep a friendly composure no matter the context. she asked us “what do y’all want,” when she went behind the counter & we both told her what we wanted & she left for a few minutes, getting our food i’m assuming. she puts the bag of our food on the counter & when we say “thank you,” she replies with a “yup.” she followed us out the door & locked the door behind us. my boyfriend & i both just thought she was having a bad night, so we brushed it off. when we got home & started to eat our chicken, we both noticed it was very undercooked. usually their teriyaki chicken is a bit more crisp, however it’s cooked about as if it was chicken breast in the oven. also, my boyfriend noticed a piece of his chicken was still pink in the middle. as i said before, i used to love this place very much. i love the sauces they put on the side, but i’m very sad to say that i won’t be going back, unfortunately. i’m not one to be so upset over poor customer service, but the food being undercooked was it for me. i honestly would want a refund for this if possible because i’m not willing to finish this undercooked food.

Silver Mine Subs – Menu with Prices – 1281 E Magnolia St, Fort Collins

Never been here before and was excited to try something new. I walked in and asked for a moment while deciding. The people leaving let me know they love this place and while looking the cashier was very helpful in my search. After deciding on a “Georgetown”, I hardly had a moment to look around and the sandwich was done – crazy fast. I remember leaving thing if the sandwich is as good as the service, this will be an easy review. Now the sandwich….well, it was ok. Disappointed probably fits my feeling best. I unrolled the sandwich and it was dripping ranch from everywhere. After a bite or two, I noticed hardly any meat (lots of lettuce) and opened my sandwich to discover maybe a slice or two of turkey with a piece of bacon over it. I guess I just expect a sub to have more meat. While I was 2/3 the way through my second half I noticed some avocado. I had totally forgotten the sandwich even had avocado. Apparently the small amount of avocado goes perfectly with the tiny piece of bacon and minimal turkey. I think this place has a great menu, soft bread, great service and so much hope for success. I however probably won’t be back for a good while because of the sandwich. Not one location averages 3 stars. Raise the price a hair and add a little meat. The reviews will improve. So close and lots of hope. I wish this place the best.

Blue Sage Vegan Bistro – Menu with Prices – 420 President Clinton Ave, Little Rock

Ummm…. WOW!!! Ok this place is incredible, I don’t even know where to begin! I got the chicken fried sandwich, and I even had to ask if it was vegan because it tasted so real! I’ve been vegetarian/vegan for 6 years, and I’ve never tasted anything like this. The guy that served me told me what it was, and told me what was in it, and recommended the sandwich to me. He asked me in what I was in the mood for, and told me what he thought I would like. It was REALLY REALLY GOOD! I would put in a picture, but I actually ate it before I could. Hehe. The staff was extremely nice and helpful, and I didn’t feel rushed at all! I didn’t get his name, but the brown haired, long haired guy was who helped me the most! This will definitely be a must when I visit Little Rock again! Thanks Blue Sage!!
