I would give a zero star if I could. my friends and I, the 3 of us, went in on a Thursday. We were put in a small box. $40 per hour(kinda like happy hour deal already) + 18% service fee(dang, is it just this place or all k-place have this now?!) Reasons why I don’t like about this place: -The box including the lobby smelled like smoke. – There is a big device right in front of the song selecting panel, so it’s really tiring arching your back while selecting the songs. When someone is selecting the song, the person’s butt is blocking part of the screen. weird design – The song selection is limited. A lot of famous songs sang by famous people are not up there. Instead, they have covers of those songs by random people. – A staff came in like two mins after we settled asking what we want for drinks. since none of us drink alcohol, I ordered a snack(btw, it’s 15bucks for like 8 lobster balls). The waiter brought in the snack and left. He came back couple mins later telling us that the boss says the snack is separated from the bill and needs to be paid NOW and IN CASH. It’s kinda like the boss just decided it or something, or the waiter would have said it beforehand or when he brought in the snack. I have seen other places that snacks and drinks are separated services, but those you have to walk out and they have a counter to order and pay. Anyway, we found it weird, but luckily I had some cash with me. I gave him a $20 bill and he left. I was expecting a $5 dollar change back but we ended up having to ask for it on our way out. The staff explained that he was gonna give it back when we check out(although I don’t really buy it because if you find it appropriate to ask me to pay for the snack right now, you would find it just as appropriate to give me my change back right away) We were all in bad mood, so we only stayed there for an hour. When we checked out, the boss lady was like “just 1 hour??”. Well, that was my fault. we shouldn’t have even stepped in. To conclude, if the business has the balls to charge so much for the box, the service, the snack and drinks, I would have my expectation high. But I really found nothing good about that place. Save yourself some money and go to Milpitas for better karaoke places.

Pockets Pool & Pub – Menu with Prices – 1062 S Wilmot Rd, Tucson

Pockets has some great employees, good food, and quality pool tables, but something I’ve noticed really bothers me. They have juke box music, and quite often if a pleasant classic rock song comes on, the bartender will boot the song. If an obnoxious rap “song” comes on, then they’ll be happy with it. Their juke box is up to $1 per song on many songs. A minority of songs might be only 50 cents. Either way, if I’ve paid to hear a song, you don’t just knock it off on a whim. Completely ridiculous.

Mr Luckys Billiards – Menu with Prices – 21020 Hawthorne Blvd, Torrance

Keep in mind ppl, I’m the average joe that wants to drink a beer and play a round of billiards. Add some tunes to it and it’s a good night. No drama intended or requested. Like most bars, they have a jukebox. “Amimusic” app one in particular. They offer 5 10 15 and 20 dollar credits. What they don’t tell you is that they will swindle you out of your money. Lee and justin(the bartender and worker) will tell you that they have no control over the jukebox when in fact they do. Bartender is bald with tats all over and worker has ear plugs n clean trimmed beard. While I was there, multiple customers complained of the same issue, (when are my “purchased” songs gonna play?) After paying 5 bucks and selecting 5 songs that never played, we asked the bartender if they’d ever play. We got the run around from the bartender that he has no control over the juke box(he showed me on his phone he has an account to ami music I can only assume paid for by the owner) but in fact he does. We say w/e and we continue the night. As some of you may know, the more credits you buy, you’re able to queue your song to the front of the line. That said, lee himself queued a song to the front proving he has control. My brother and I as well as the group next to us, purchased songs that never played. We were there close to 3 hours, till closing time. the other group same…their songs never played…no refund was offered or given… as soon as we left the place, 2am, after complaining of the issue, they altered the queue and played their music…pretty much saying F U to us and thx for your money. If you dont believe this review, download the ami music app the next time you go to this bar, and check the queue after you buy songs…the app is free and you dont need to submit any info, you’re able to select your location and check the queue… It’s pretty Fd up that your patrons are trying to have a fun night and you mess it up like this lee and justin. You’ve lost a potential regular client… Pretty much all they played was limp biscuit and other metal songs…

Politics Spirits & Games – Menu with Prices – 7426 S Staples St #215, Corpus Christi

The bartenders and staff are great but please DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY ON THE TOUCH TUNES MACHINE!!! Its a rip off! My husband and I put 10 dollars to hear some music. We were aware that a couple people had already went to the machine to add some of their own music. We waited about an hour and still hadn’t heard our music being played. I kept getting up to check to see if our music was next (you can see what next in the playlist up to 5 songs) and noticed that there were only 3 songs ahead of ours at this point. Great! I sat down and waited another 20 minutes…still nothing. I went back up to the machine and saw that our songs weren’t there anymore and that there were even more songs ahead of ours! The machine said these songs were added “by its mobile app”. It was 1am! and there weren’t that many people there! Seriously!!! Don’t waste your money! We left at 2am and never heard our songs that were requested at 11pm!

Vanrock Sound – Menu with Prices – 73 Elliott St, London

Rented DJ Kevin from Vanrock Sound. 1. The DJ showed up an hour late. I tried to be cool about it. I didn’t ask for any money back. 2. Then the DJ forgot my crown and anchor game. But first he denied his boss telling him. Or his boss was lying. His boss did travel to bring it, and thought he bring blackjack to smooth over the deal, but forgot cards. 3. He played the same songs over and over. Nothing different from what we requested. Lame-O. Very disappointing. From the reviews posted on the website, I was hoping for something more.

Echo Karaoke – Menu with Prices – 693 Bloor St W, Toronto

Unlike the other reviewers, I cannot say how bar+ is like as I haven’t been except that apparently they add new English songs fairly quickly to their catalogue that you can quickly search up on their website unlike Echo. Other than that, this place is really really awesome if all you want to sing is Korean songs (cough BTS cough) as they basically have their whole discography there. We had about 15 people so we booked the showtime room that is at a rate of $55/hour. Reservations are by email only through their website and the owner/representative was very quick to respond. You also need to pay a $30 deposit to secure the room. They give you all the details about cancellation and late fees when they respond to your request. With 3 hours of singing, it came to $11/person and that’s quite a steal. You can order drinks into the room as long as everyone is the legal drinking age, but if not (which we had some underage), you can drink upstairs. Also, no outside drinks are allowed or you risk getting kicked out of the room. The room was square with enough room to dance around and for everyone to see the screen. Everything was clean, speakers were great and when you start a song, the room gets dark with colourful lights all over the room. We had a blast and will be returning soon!

Young St Karaoke Lounge – Menu with Prices – 1177 Central Pkwy W #63, Mississauga

This Karaoke place is just as good as it gets, extreme value and good times! On NYE, they invited everyone out to the lounge area for the countdown and literally made it rain with dolla dolla bills and shots on the house. Yes you read correctly, they were shooting out authentic USD $1 bills like it was confetti and one counter full of free shots (check my vid under photos of this listing). All the fobby Asians didn’t take advantage of this so there were a ton of leftover alcohol. I was soOOo smart and dismissed it as fake money and was snapchatting away instead of picking up those authentic bills #priorities. By the time I realized, I missed out and watched some who swept away with a bunch of $$$, okay maybe only $20. We booked the room from 9pm-3am for free with a minimum $150 purchase in food and drinks. The room can fit 8 comfortably and can hold probably up to 10. As for song selection, they didn’t have a thorough list of English songs but you can expect top40s and popular ones from the past think BSB, Nsync, Britney, TLC etc. I was disappointed they didn’t have many Disney songs except Frozen. Decent and enough to entertain for the whole time. I appreciate the use of music videos instead of a generic backdrop that has nothing to do with the song. Although we didn’t select Asian songs, it seemed like there was a lot more selection, especially Chinese songs.

Kroger Corporate Office Menu with Prices 2175 Parklake Dr NE, Atlanta

I am so tired of the grayson location and science highway location. The rules for coupons change daily. Now, the rain check rules are changing. This is a million dollar corporations and you are telling me that you cant hire staff the comprehend their store policies. You, have to always leave stressed out because of unprofessional behavior from the staff. Now I will be calling corporate today and file my formal complaint and lets see were tbis will lead. I dont want a song and dance. I want change in these stores when it come to using coupons. Stop being racist and stop stereotyping. All people are not the same. If I, could give a negative zero I would. I, dont want to hear that the manager changed and we have new people. Train your staff.

Gang Nam Style Karaoke – Menu with Prices – 2645 N Berkeley Lake Rd NW #228, Duluth

Everyone in my family loves to sing, so we go to a noraebang (private Karaoke room) at least once every two or three months. A friend of mine recently had a birthday celebration there and told me that it was a good noraebang with reasonable hourly rates – $20/hour for a group of 6 or less people, and $30/hour for larger groups. To celebrate my brother’s high school graduation (YAY, CONGRATS to my favorite brother!!!), our family decided to check out Everysing. My siblings laughed when I suggested “Everysing,” and my dad asked “Do you mean ‘Everything’?”… HAHA… The noraebang’s cute name is literally the way Koreans pronounce “everything.” =) Anyway, we went around 10 pm on a Friday night and found that the place was kind of dead. The employee at the counter told us to go to one room, then changed his mind three times and finally offered us a large room. It was probably large enough to seat at least 12 people comfortably, so the six of us had plenty of space to stretch out and relax. Nice! Initially, my family and I were happy that the room didn’t reek of smoke as many Korean karaoke places do. However, about 10 minutes later, we started to smell cigarette smoke trailing in from the room next door. Boo… I usually don’t use the song books to search for songs and enter them by number as I prefer to use the remote to search by artist or title. (NOTE: Unfortunately for those who can’t read Korean, the remotes are going to be a challenge to use since the tiny words on the buttons are written in Korean.) However, I usually like to flip to the back to see what new songs they have. Unfortunately, the newer songs were not new at all. They were probably from late last year or early this year. Not good. Although they didn’t have some of the newer songs that other noraebangs (like my favorite, Ai Tunes) have, our family still had a good time. Also, to our surprise and delight, after about an hour of singing, we saw a notice on the TV screen that we were given 30 bonus minutes for free! That was really nice. As the time was getting down to 5 minutes left, my sister asked if we could have 30 minutes added or if we had to get a full hour. Fortunately, we were able to get 30 more minutes for an $10. Overall, Everysing Karaoke gets 3.5 hours for their friendly service and affordable hourly rates for karaoke. We really appreciated the free 30 minute bonus and the fact that they let us add an additional half hour, which allowed us to sing for two hours for only $30! However, we were a little disappointed that they didn’t have newer song selections. We didn’t get any food or drinks since we had a big dinner, so unfortunately I can’t speak to that. We may return if we hear that they do a better job of updating their songs more frequently, but with the numerous noraebang options, we easily may not return. We’ll just have to see… [Review 151 of 366]

Blue Karaoke Menu with Prices 3500 W Liberty Rd, Ann Arbor

This is the first karaoke lounge I’ve been to in the US (not counting the public karaoke of Circus Bar). I didn’t expect to have as much fun as I did at Blue Karaoke. My group of 5 were quickly escorted into the private “Hip Hop” room with two comfy couches, disco lights, karaoke machine with two microphones, and tambourines! We ordered some alcohol that the owner recommended, and it was amazing! You pick songs using a keyboard-like device that has English and Korean (I think?) alphabets. You can start a song, and keep adding more songs to the song queue without stopping the current song. You can scroll up and down through the search feature based on Artists or Title. I’m delighted that they even had British artists like Take That, Boyzone, Westlife, and Spice Girls! I snuck in my oldies, “I Will Survive”, and “Build Me Up Buttercup”, while my friends did the more rockstar songs from Bon Jovi, and Third Eye Blind. We also discovered that “Mmmm Bop” is un-singable. Someone please prove me wrong. My group of friends came in after cocktails at another bar, and since Blue Karaoke opens till 5am on Fridays and Saturdays, it was a great continuation of our party. When I think back to that night (April 16, 2016), my friends and I still laugh over the videos that go with the lyrics…. Or rather, doesn’t go. It is a bunch of “emo Asians” in a soap opera. Hi-la-rious! Totally worth checking out!! I saw an ad there for ice cream, but I think I will ask about food options the next time I go.

The Atlantic Nightspot – Menu with Prices – 15 N Main St, Gainesville

***goth night***I just have to say that the ‘goth’ night was lacking in quality club music. The DJ claims to have tons of music but yet played 3 sisters of Mercy songs, 2 Christian death (one was followed by the Smiths… Who does that??!!) And 3 depeche mode songs in less than 2 hours. Now I must also mention the 3 second pause between every single song that leaves the people standing there looking confused and hopeful that something better would play next. Does the equipment he use lack a fade in and out button? I understand this is a once in a while type night therefore it can’t compare to other goth clubs within a 2 hour driving radius, but I heard better goth/industrial music on 80s night the previous week. For those who really truly love the music, there should be a wider variety of music in the DJs set. We like to go out and dance, not breathe in the fog and stare at the lights…***80s night***Music variety was all over the place. Pixies, The cure, wham, Whitney Huston, ah-ha, nitzer ebb, the Ramones… It got about every type of 80s except the hair bands. It gave people time to rest when the crappy 80s muzak came on (although you’d have to wait at least 5 songs to get back to the fun stuff) but the floor was pretty busy with people dancing. I would go back to this night but if I missed it, I wouldn’t be heartbroken. I guess through the years of going to clubs, I’ve gotten very spoiled and maybe in just to picky.

8KKM Karaoke – Menu with Prices – 1855 Pembina Hwy #101b, Winnipeg

They must have had an interior renovation because now the place is beautiful! They have both chinese systems where you pick the songs off the computer and korean systems where you order songs off the giant binder. The chinese systems menu is in chinese and the korean systems menu is in korean so it would be helpful to have someone that reads either chinese and korean. The chinese and korean song selection is quite updated however the english songs are not. Also they only have bottled water so no tap water here!

Cash Box Karaoke – Menu with Prices – 1844 W Broadway Rd, Mesa

We came in February, mid afternoon on a weekend for a birthday party. We were the only people there, but I can see it becoming very busy at peak hours. The facility, everything seemed to be new, well managed and in working order. I was impressed by how nice it was inside. Since it was for someone’s birthday, I’m not entirely sure what the pricing was. The system itself was pretty easy to use, but the American song selection was kind of limited to only the most popular songs. Also, they have a menu of food and drinks but few alcoholic beverages were not available at the time we went so that was a mild bummer.
