So disappointed. I was craving tempura shrimp and veggies. I called and ordered delivery for lunch. I requested no broccoli and asked what came with the order…”nothing. I ordered a side of chicken fried rice. I got about 8 pieces of California roll (which I don’t eat and didn’t order) some kind of wilted lettuce and cabbage(?), 2 tempura shrimp and 3 pieces of tempura veggies (one piece of onion, one piece of carrot and one piece of zucchini). So I paid $25 and change for 2 shrimp and 3 pieces of tempura veggies and fried rice. I called to let them know I wasn’t happy. The girl who answered (who also took my order) seemed really not interested. She said it was what I ordered…smh. The rice was soggy btw. Never again.

Fuji Sushi & Hibachi LLC – Menu with Prices – 2801 W 41st St, Sioux Falls

This was my second try at having tempura. My first time at Fuji. Greeted immediately and was seated within seconds. Waitress was there immediately with ice water and request for drinks. She answered my questions thoughtfully and nicely. I ordered tempura shrimp with vegetables appetizer and the chicken tempura with rice and vegetables & miso soup as my main dish. Iced tea for drink. Too much food for me to eat, it was all very good, the shrimp and carrots and chicken and zucchini and soup and rice were all very good. Very crispy, cooked thoroughly, very tender, with a very nice sauce. My only down point. Was that the iced tea was not brewed but that is sometimes what you get. I would recommend this easily four stars and I gave it five stars because it impressed me as my second try for tempura and gave me everything I was hoping for.

Oshi Poke Bowl and Sushi Menu with Prices 875 N Main St Ste 305, Alpharetta

I generally am not too interested to try new things, but the kids really wanted to take me to their new favorite place to eat. They said the Poke bar was kind of like Chipotle for sushi, and that I could choose exactly what went in my bowl and get fried shrimp (tempura) so I wouldnâ??t have to eat anything raw that I would normally eat cooked. I was skeptical, but they were really excited so I caved in and went. Boy am I glad I tried it. Everything was super fresh. The rice was cooked to perfection, the greens were crisp, the toppings for the Poke were all the bright colors Mother Nature intended them to be. The owner cooked my shrimp tempura to order and it was honestly the best fried shrimp Iâ??ve ever had. I asked the gal behind the counter to choose what sauces / dressings to put on my custom creation and I wish I had written down what she combined, it was the perfect blend of spicy and sweet, just the right amount of heat. I thoroughly enjoyed my bowl, benefitted from a good helping of fresh veggies, and the whole family was happy so all around it was a win win meal. We will definitely be going back. Next time I might even try the raw fish.

Teriyaki Madness – Menu with Prices – 45 Division Ave ste j, Eugene

My first visit was nothing to write home about. This chain is about the same quality level as Panda Express. The good: Ingredients are fresh, teriyaki sauce is decent if not a little too sweet, they allow quite a bit of customization (I.e. bowls come with veggies- broccoli, carrots, onions, cabbage and zucchini- from which you can choose all, some or none). They have a decent selection of proteins and pan fried noodles or rice. The not-so-good: I got mostly cabbage, 2 small pieces of broccoli and a few pieces of zucchini (which I asked them NOT to include). The chicken breast was over-cooked and dry. Now it has been a few hours, and I wish I had gotten the small instead of the Medium- the Large is huge. I liked the freshness of the meal and the fact that it was served with a minimum amount of Teriyaki. Worth a return visit, but nothing to go out of your way for.

Mr. Big Fish – Menu with Prices – 754 Neapolitan Way, Naples

So let me start by saying that this is a cute restaurant inside. It is in a strip mall but the inside is very nautical and well decorated. I went to lunch with my parents. We’ve been wanting to try this restaurant for a while. We decided to get an appetizer of their fried zucchini sticks and their snapping shrimp. They both had good flavor but neither were outstanding. The zucchini is cut in thick spears and comes with a yummy ranch dressing. The snapping shrimp tasted more like a Chinese type dish. They had good flavor.. . Our server recommended the Butter bathed with rice and vegetables, which were broccoli and zucchini. We also ordered the fried shrimp basket with sweet potato fries and onion rings. The rice and vegetables were pretty standard. The fish was pretty bland, not a lot of flavor and slightly on the dry side. It did come with a butter sauce which it definitely needed. I would not recommend that dish. The Shrimp Basket was okay. However there were only three shrimp in it, two onion rings and a small handful of fries. It was a very small portion. The onion rings were pretty good as well as the sweet potato fries but the shrimp lacked flavor. With all the phenomenal restaurants in Naples, we probably would not go back to this one.

Joy of Tokyo – Menu with Prices – 15 Pelham Rd, Greenville

Ordered Shrimp and Steak with Rice with veggies like I usually do this time doing take out didnâ??t receive any shrimp that I payed for. there was hair in my white sauce, then the vegetables were brown as if itâ??s been sitting out all day, called before I came in and told them why I wanted to return the meal, went in to get a refund, manager was very rude stated that I ate the shrimp that I ordered but never got and only gave me $5 back for my meal I paid $10 for. Very unprofessional and rude. I called before I went because I was literally 20mins away and they said they would refund me then when I drove all the way back over there she only wanted to give me $4 then offered a extra dollar only because their were most people starting to approach the restaurant. Would never eat her again.

Sushi In Joy Menu with Prices 2618 Bellevue Way NE, Bellevue

Stopped in for lunch. There was just the one server, overwhelmed and unable to spare much time. I ordered the lunch bento box with chicken katsu and tempura. It’s supposed to come with miso but it that never happened. The bento box arrived looking great but looks are deceiving. There was a large mixed green salad included, a large pool of water at the base of the bowl suggested the leaves had been washed but not dried. Wet salad tends to taste like just leaves, as the dressing washes away. The sauce included with the chicken katsu was reddish and very sweet. Never had that served at a Japanese restaurant before. The katsu itself was really all panko. The chicken had been pounded so thin it comprised just a narrow layer within the crust. Then there’s the tempura. Normally, a bowl of dashi, mirin and soy accompanies the dish for dipping the tempura. This was not included. The tempura veggies were fine but the two pieces of shrimp were not shrimp so much as a trick of the eye. The meat of the shrimp had been surgically removed leaving the tail and a long thin thin slice that had been battered and fried. It contained a suggestion of shrimp but was really just a batter stick. When I finally got the waiter’s attention I asked about the miso and he told me they were out so he’d made the salad extra large. Apparently there had been no time available to let me know in advance. I told him about the lack of a dipping sauce, the weirdness of the katsu sauce and the ridiculously thin shrimp. He apologized and then produced the bill.

Shogun J. R Express – Menu with Prices – 700 S Reilly Rd, Fayetteville

Finally a place that can replace the old Bento! The food is super yummy and at a pretty affordable price. We ordered the crab Rangoon’s & 3 for $12 rolls (king crab, crab tempura, & shrimp tempura). The king crab was soooo yummy. Shrimp tempura was good as well. I didn’t really care for the crab tempura. Mainly because I don’t like when the imitation crab is a whole stick. We also got the hibachi filet & chicken and filet & shrimp. The portion size was decent, but there’s a lot of rice compared to the protein. The only 2 meh things about this place is that we ordered our steaks medium and got well done :/ & the music is super depressing lol I’m talking Bruno Mars and Adele depressing lol other than that it was a pleasant lunch date & we will definitely be returning

Dragon Express / Pho Vietnam Express – Menu with Prices – 678 E St, Chula Vista

I was looking for pho in the area and came across this place. The reviews all seem so great so I decided to give it a try. All everyone sayd about this place is that its in a run down ghetto place. Thats definitely not the case. I ordered orange chicken, shrimp fried rice, y eggrolls, and large pho. My total came out to $35 a bit more than what i usually pay at my regular pho place. It was good but it wasnt the best like everyone says. Rice kinda tasted like it had been cooked since the morning and just sitting under heat. Orange chicken was ehh. The egg rolls where good. The pho was a big portion but it wasnt all that tasty it was missing lots of flavor. I was extremely disappointed since I was sick and pho was the only thing I was craving. I dont think i will be giving this place a second chance. I’ll most likely stick to my original pho place even if its a bit further.

Sam’s Southern Eatery – Menu with Prices – 2808 N Southland Park Dr, Shreveport

Have been a loyal customer since the day it opened, but I’ll never buy from them again, apparently the owners are chasing profits instead of pleasing their customers. Just bought a 4 piece fried fish and shrimp, instead of getting full filets, that I have always received, they now cut them in half and what was once a single piece of fish, it’s now counted as two pieces. The extra pieces of fish and shrimp that made them famous, well obviously that is no more. As I did when they first opened, I told everyone I could, I will definitely do the same with my new opinion. I am an executive chef, and I would never switch my menu without informing the customers first so they have the option to purchase or not.

Osaka Sushi – Menu with Prices – 3685 W Henrietta Rd, Rochester

This place used to be good. Now please just avoid it! 1. As a buffet restaurant, this place tries to fill you up with rice, noodle and water, not in a subtle way. I ordered avocado sushi with a smear of avocado, seafood ramen with tons of noodles and two tiny pieces of imitation crab, eel rolls with a paper thin eel on a giant rice ball, etc. They don’t want to sell good food. They are trying to make you feel full. 2. The service is terrible as well. I ordered tempura that I never got. When I tried to order some more, the server told me that I needed to finish the rice bowl. For god sake, I couldn’t finish the eel rice bowl because it’s just a full bowl of rice with two pieces of paper thin eels on it. At least let me order some other food to go with the rice! 3. The worst part is that the food tastes not fresh. The teriyaki eel has gone sour. Again, I left two pieces because I can’t force myself to eat stale food! Overall, I had a lettuce salad, two shrimps, four avocado rolls, eel rice bowl, seafood ramen, four eel rolls. I paid $16 and a stomachache later that day.

100 C Hot pot, Ramen & Boba – Menu with Prices – 116 N Stephanie St #110, Henderson

Thank you Yelp for suggesting this “Hot & New” restaurant… If you like the Ramen Noodle places, you’ll dig this, but it’s quite different than that. This restaurant is in a new complex with some fast food and other shopping options. Very clean, brand new and I believe they’re just a month or two into their business. We got the Crab (Krab) Tempura with a great dipping sauce which I can’t quite describe. Almost like a soy sauce but I believe it was something else. The Tempura was very abundant and had carrot and other veggies mixed in. Filling for sure and great for sharing! My GF got the House Special with Chicken and added sprouts and udon (upcharge items). The chicken was very delicious! Very tender. The sauce was very good, almost like a Tom Yum soup/broth flavor. You can get 0 Spice, a little Spicy all the way up to Super Hot. She got Medium spice but felt it had a bit more kick, however she’s not a huge fan of “Too hot”… I got the Seafood Hot Pot (explanation soon!) and it was level “Super Hot”..it had heat, sinus clearing but not over bearing by any means. I love the heat but it wasn’t too hot, but just right. They have more spices to add if you want more heat as well. The yolk in the “soup” was just right and the shrimp was a fully whole shrimp that you can easily peel and eat. The sauce that the seafood sits in added such a great flavor to the shrimp. The Hot Pot is a cute little pot with an adjustable flame that comes blazing (safely) as you watch the soup bubble. You can turn it down or off which is recommended so you can actually eat it. The price was right, the presentation was great. The ingredients we very good and the service was more on the lighter side but not bad. They weren’t over bearing but they didn’t quite check up on you (typically after you are served, you get someone to check on your food and see if you need anything else). I did get up to get napkins but it’s a casual vibe and I didn’t feel bad doing it, nor did it bother me. It’s a place you might have to go up and get or ask for something which was fine. We didn’t try the teas or boba, but would next time. The water was fresh and our server did come by and refresh for us. White rice comes w/ the Tempura, we upgraded (1.50) to Fried rice and it was very good. Different than your typical Thai Fried Rice (not much or any egg perhaps?) but very good! I’d recommend this place for great food, a casual intimate vibe, a fun experience with the Hot Pots and making your own bowl of ingredients and sauce and adding spices to your dish. The server as someone mentioned in their experience did not speak great English and we did confirm our order twice (they do not use Order Pads to take orders), but we got everything exactly how it was ordered (the add-ons, clam from House Pot on side), extra spices etc..Spot on! And in a place like this, having a person serve you food from the origin of the food adds to an authentic experience in my opinion. Another new fave we’ll visit again!

Kodo Sushi Sake – Menu with Prices – 2430 S Gilbert Rd Suite 5, Chandler

Saturday night, around 5pm, friendly hostess seated us. Wife wanted to try the pork gyoza. We received them in 15 minutes. Thick, rather chewy, but crunchy. Not terrible, but not a great start. I ordered the omakase, chefs choice nigiri. Platter contained an assortment of 13 pieces. Bear with me as I describe them individually. 2 pieces of scrumptious salmon with a smoky, tangy glaze. 2 pieces of the best octopus I’ve ever tasted. Tender, and beautifully charred. An entire UNI on a rather skimpy bit of rice. Other pieces included white fish, tuna, crab and a couple of slivers of raw shrimp, which I found inedible. Unless the shrimp was alive when it hits the plate, it doesn’t taste fresh. My wife’s shrimp tempura roll was average, at best. I prefer sushi white rice to the purple variety, but didn’t let that influence my review. So, overall, some excellent, some average. Server was pleasant, though we could see some confusion in the room, as other servers brought food to wrong tables several times. Don’t see us returning right away.
