I had no idea that the Honey Baked Han Company had actual delis so when I was looking for a sandwich while working in Erie, I figured I would come and give this place a try. This little shop offers a decent amount of options for a quick lunch while also giving you a place to pickup full desserts and even some big honey baked hams (but like, yum). I ordered a standard honey baked ham sandwich with lettuce, tomato, and some wonderful sauce that made me like the sandwich even more (seriously, it was delicious). The sandwich itself didn’t come with anything else so I picked up a can of sprite ($1.99) and a bag of BBQ chips (I think $1.50) and it made for a pretty filling meal. Overall, if you want a ham sandwich this is probably where you want to go. The place was clean, the food was good, and the prices weren’t bad either. Most important, honey baked ham is deciduous and I’m definitely going to be ordering one for thanksgiving.

Fuhrman’s Cider Mill-Bakery-General Store – Menu with Prices – 8270 Peach St, Erie

This is a spacious market, and it is very clean. It has a little bit of everything… Chips, beef jerky, cheese, baked goods, noodles, bird seeds, cider in the fall, pasta sauce, peanut butter, candy, honey, maple syrup, etc… The lady at the bakery was very nice and informative. I was going to order donuts to take home, for the office, but they close on Monday and I head home in Monday and return to work in Tuesday. I prefer the donuts to be as fresh as possible. I picked up some cheese, peanut butter, blueberry bread, sponge candy (my first time trying this), and a bag if veggie chips. All for less than $40. I can’t wait to try the .

Michaeli Bakery – Menu with Prices – 115A Division St, New York

Always top on my list now!! I went here on Friday evening and met the chef who was so humble and very sweet to talk to, he told us about his Israeli baked goodness. As per his suggestions we tried a whole lot of desserts and burekas that he had baked. – Rugalach: Slightly different from the breads bakery in taste, this one had a stronger chocolate flavor and was delicious. It’s $2 each or 6 for 10. -Potato burekas: Flaky crust with a nice potato filling and tasted so good. These are $3 and after 7pm he has these burekas for half price which is $1.5 – Burikitas: Flaky crust with feta cheese inside, it was different and nice for $2 -Pizza burekas : Sooo good, these small bites were extremely delicious and you can’t stop with just one – Kugelhopf: This dessert is one of the best I have ever had. Similar to the French brioche studded with raisins and not too sweet. You have to try this!! -Alfajores:Dulce de Leche sandwich, soft and delicate cookie was tasty, again not too sweet and melts in the mouth -Medovic slice: Absolutely stunning piece of layered honey and cream cake is super delicious. The chef recommended us to try his favorite baked goodness and this one definitely was the best. -Chocolate babka: Got home his famous chocolate babkas, pretty sure it will be the best -Challa : Got home this for Shakshuka brunch This place is amazing, a very clean and pretty space. Adril is so nice to talk to and he explains about each of these desserts so patiently. Going back soon!!

SOURDOUGH BREAD DELI – Menu with Prices – 4120 W 15th St, Plano

This is a total dive and totally worth a stop. 1st – the bread is baked fresh every day. It’s sourdough and round, like Schlotzskys (but far more tender and tasty). 2nd – specials! Small sandwich (which is huge), chips and a drink for $4.99. Regular sandwich, chips and a drink for $5.99. There’s a preset list of sandwich choices on the special menu but there are lots to choose from. 3rd – everything is homemade and high quality. The owner, Cyrus, and his wife are the original owners/chefs behind the far north Dallas classic Giovanni’s. We used to love eating back there in the day and are so happy they’ve popped back up all these years later with an awesome deli. The location is sketch. It looks like a (clean) dive inside and out. There’s not an order counter – you walk up to a countertop where supplies and a cash register are sitting. Tell Cyrus what you want, his wife makes it and that’s that. There are a limited number of tables and chairs for you to eat in if you like. They’re closed on Sundays, open 11-7 other days and only deliver on Saturdays. Honestly, don’t be turned off by the look of the place. This is a seriously great sandwich shop. A true hidden gem in south central Plano.

Pino’s Oven Menu with Prices 10697 W Ustick Rd, Boise

Went here on March 29th with my husband and a few of his co-workers. This place is a spot that they like to frequent and I can see why. First off let me mention the only food that I sampled was their cheesy garlic bread and it was delicious. However, my husband and co-workers tell me that the grinders that they get are delicious. They have two different sizes an 8″ and a 16″ and from the ones that I saw they looked great and didn’t skimp out on any of the fillings. This place is also known to have beers and spirits. The co-workers always gets beer and I, of course, had to try out the mixed drinks. I did not order any thing that he had on the menu. In fact, I asked him to whip me up something sweet. He came back with a tasty cocktail that contained Huckleberry Vodka. It was almost like a Sex on the Beach but with huckleberry. Once I finished that drink I decided to challenge him again only this time i challenged him with Jack Daniels Honey Whiskey. Before he gave me the entire drink he had me try a sip and it was very very good. From what I could remember him telling me it was Jack Daniels Honey, lime, Peach Shnapps, and Sprite. I asked him what he called it and he wasn’t sure. So the group came up with ‘Honey, May I?’ I think it sounds great. The owner is a very nice guy and you can tell that he loves what he does just from his work in the food and drinks. The place is a decent size and it has a very local feel to it. They also have a couple of TV’s there where you can catch the game (or two). I will definitely come back and this time I will make sure to try a grinder for myself.

Burger King – Menu with Prices – 1531 N Cassady Ave, Columbus

You see a new building and another food option in the area and get excited. Don’t…. do not under any circumstances give this location a shot. Or do it, but then come back and like my review when you realize I’m right. They struggle to get your order right every time. The attitude of the associates is the worst. I came through and waited to order. The guy mumbled over the speaker so badly I had to ask FOUR TIMES for him to speak clearly. No. Not a language barrier. He just mumbled so badly someone else had to step in and say “it’s going to be at least 10 minutes on burgers we just got hit”…. they had 3 small cars in the parking lot. All already seated in the lobby with food…… I said “I just want chicken fries”… “yeah it’ll be 10 minutes on those too” I let them know that’s fine and place my order. With a coke. Get to the drive thru the kid is rude as all get out and hands me a sprite and tells me to pull forward. I explain there isn’t a single car behind me I’ll wait here. He gets Pissed and shuts the window shouting back to everyone about it. Comes back hands me my food, I explain I ordered a coke. He dumps the sprite, shoves the used cup down in the ice and pumps coke into it NOT EVEN FILLING IT UP! And gives it to me and immediatey bails from the window. I have to call the store to get the manager to come over and give me the coke filled. In a clean cup. Fries were cold, chicken fries were soggy and undercooked. This is the third and final shot I gave this location. I’m done.

Holiday Ham Company – Menu with Prices – 11548 W 95th St, Overland Park

I found this place by accident. I am from Mississippi originally, been working up here since Sept 2015. One work day I passed a Quiznos on the way from one job to the other. I thought that sounded like a good choice (for lunch), why not? I looked up the closest Quiznos from where I was and it took me near here. I didn’t find Quiznos that day, but I found this place instead. I have become a regular customer, getting to know Mr. Jim and Mr. Dave personally! They are really nice individuals. They only offer 3 sandwich options: Turkey, Ham, & Ham Salad on white, wheat, or rye bread. The ham for me, makes the sandwich along with the red onions. But the delicious part is definitely the honey baked Ham. Can’t beat his prices for sandwiches either.

Emillio’s Bakery – Menu with Prices – 3905 State St, Salem

I found this place thanks to a coworker who told me about it while I was visiting Salem. They said the Mexican bread is fresh and they have these amazing breakfast sandwich things. I went, and the outside doesn’t look like much, and honestly you wonder what you might find inside. Looks don’t always means anything because it was filled with delicious pastries insides! I went at 8am and everything was super fresh. Pastries were warm, you could smell fresh breads being baked, and you could just tell they’d been up for hours getting things ready. I ordered a few pastries, which you just grab a tray, some tongs, and go to the display and grab them yourself. Kind of like when you go to the grocery store and grab your own donuts. Then i asked the man for some breakfast sandwich things and omg they were fresh out of the oven! They are these delicious breads filled with cheese and ham or you could get cheese and jalepeno. The filling is literally baked inside the fresh baked bread. There are no holes or cuts where they just filled prebaked bread with cheese. Honestly, since I’ve had them I can’t stop thinking about them. My picture attached doesn’t do it justice at all. The most amazing breakfast items I’ve had. Plus, i paid about $12 for 5 pastries and 5 sandwiches which was a great deal.

Midnight Bakery – Menu with Prices – 11th St S, St. Petersburg

This is awesome! Delicious dessert, baked fresh when you order and delivered hot to your door??!! At 2am?? I had Classic, which is a sort of chocolate chip cake-like cookie, with chocolate drizzled on top. And Honey Badger, a butterscotch and honey flavored cookie-cake. Servings were generous, I ate some still warm, melty and fresh and had a couple leftover to eat for breakfast! I love new, small businesses because they add personal touches and really care about the products they create. Fantastic! Keep up the good baking! I can’t wait to try one of the specialty items! How the heck are they keeping ice cream cold and fresh-baked stuff fresh on the Peanut Butter Fudge Soufflé- when it’s delivered??? I will just have to find out!! ?

Tacos al Carbón – Menu with Prices – 500 Sebastopol Rd, Santa Rosa

Always on the search for a new and authentic tacos, we decided to try this restaurant for a late afternoon lunch. Located on Sebastopol Road, where you have so many good choices for yummy food, we were delighted to see it is right next door to Frozen Art Ice Cream! Yippee! It was about 3:30 or so when we walked in and there was only one other table filled in a pretty large restaurant, but right behind us walked in two more sets of customers. The dining room is bright and clean. We were instantly greeted and ordered within about 5 minutes. First, the menu is incredibly large with so many different choices. It was very hard to decide what to order! They have a great selection of your standard items you would expect, and also a large fish and vegetarian (healthy option) choices. Hubby went for his typical combo plate when trying a new place – a chili relleno and mole enchilada. I chose a fish taco and shredded chicken taco, because after all, I was there for Tacos! The food came in about 10 minutes. The combo plate was large and looked delicious. I tasted the Chili Relleno and it was unlike what I was used to. It was sort of sweet, maybe with a hint of honey. The chili was fresh as well. The mole sauce was good too, not overly rich and sickening sweet like I have tasted elsewhere. The fish for the taco was grilled (not fried) which was a delight for me as I don’t eat fried food! The shredded chicken taco had a bed of rice, lots of chicken, but the sauce was a little heavy for my taste buds. Both tacos were delicious and filling at $3.25 each. However, my biggest complaint were the tortillas. I don’t expect to eat tacos with a knife and fork, but this is what I had to do. The tortillas are too thin and fell apart the instant I picked up the taco. Not good, so maybe they can work on that for the future. We also ordered guacamole which was good, a little lemony for me, but still fresh and tasty. The two salsas that comes with the chips were both delicious too. So for $28, tax and tip included, we had a very filling meal and want to go back and try other items on the menu. I think this restaurant has plenty to offer everyone! Give it a try!

The Avenue Apartments Huntsville – Menu with Prices – 201 Jefferson St N, Huntsville

A visit to Melt is a treat for both the casual eater and the food fanatic. The myriad ways they are able to present cheese is astounding. From the honey baked goat cheese to the buffalo chicken sandwich, Melt has a dish for any mood and any occasion. I started with the honey baked goat cheese and mac and egg rolls. The sweet tones of the honey and strawberry exquisitely complimented the creaminess of the goat cheese. The egg rolls were cooked to perfect crispness, leading to a wonderful texture of soft interior with a crunchy shell. The chili glaze dipping sauce served with it accented the flavors to give us a wonderful start to our meal. For the main entree, I had the buffalo chicken sandwich with a side of mac and cheese. The Texas toast bread was nicely crisped to give the sandwich some structure, and a nice butteriness. The chicken was well fried, and coated with a nice helping of Monterey Jack cheese. Their homemade ranch doesn’t bring anything new to the table, but it is a tasty dipping sauce with a delicate flavor. The mac and cheese is a very good reason to patronize Melt. With a top layer of melty goodness, this dish will hold your tastebuds full attention from start. I will order this every time I eat here. To top off this wonderful experience, their bar is nothing to complain about. With select craft beers on draft, classic domestic options, and house crafted cocktails, their will be a beverage choice suitable for everyone. I can wholeheartedly recommend this restaurant to anyone and everyone, and I will be back here again very soon.

The Miller’s Table – Menu with Prices – 514 S Coast Hwy a, Oceanside

What a fantastic little gem in Oceanside! I’ve been here only for the taste of Oside, but I’ve been wanting to try it for awhile. I’m so glad I finally had the chance. The space is small, but it’s cozy, inviting and really comfortable. The menu is small, but has so many good options. We started with flights of wine and charcuterie. They make your charcuterie board based on your wine selection! How cool is that? The board came with two meats and three cheeses and were filled with little goodies like dried fruit, honey, jams, nuts, breads and crackers. Everything was very tasty. We also got the roasted carrots, the leek and zucchini frittata, the roast beef sandwich with chips. Everything was delicious but the sandwich was beyond! I will be back just for that sandwich. And the chips that came with it were so perfect. Paper thin, perfectly seasoned and crispy. Just great! Then to finish, we ordered the bread pudding. Holy cow was it good! It was so good, my friend actually screeched! It was chocolatey, decadent and smooth in the middle yet crisp and crunchy on the outside. We were fighting over every last bite. Honestly, one of the best desserts I’ve had in awhile. Such a great spot and I can’t wait to go back!
