I did note the pictures of the cakes below ~ I have never had their cakes but I have never walked in and seen mold on their cakes; perhaps this was a singular incident; perhaps not. All of their packaged breads and pastries are baked daily and they usually sell out on a daily basis- what they do not sell is put on a pedestal marked off as “Yesterday’s Bread”. I have shopped at H-Mart Several times and each time I have stopped and purchased sweet breads from Honey Bakery. Everything I have purchased has tasted fresh and delicious, and is definitely home-made; if you don’t eat it, after a week, it will mold, just like home-made bread or cakes without preservatives. Maybe they forgot to change out the cakes for a week in the previous person’s experience, I don’t know. Things happen. Not saying that displaying moldy cakes is OK- but I have never had a bad experience with the goods I have purchased. Give them a try! If you are shied away because of the previous photo’s, be assured that all of the packaging on their breads and pastry’s is a clear plastic all around, so you can check out your goods before buying. I will say, however, that normally whoever is running the check out stand in their little shop is usually talking to someone, either another customer, or on the phone. But they still take care of you when you are ready to check out or if you have questions.

Bakersville Bread Company – Menu with Prices – 233 W King St Suite B, St. Augustine

Stopped in the owners are nice. I sampled the cheese bread, it was good. Kid enjoyed the soft pretzel. I requested a sample of the cinnamon raisin bread. They only had the loaf for purchase. When I got home it had a previously baked date on it. I assumed the bread was baked freshly daily. I should of ask. Both breads were good. They have a Facebook page that list’s there available breads daily. Just ask when the bread was made if your looking for fresh bread baked that day. I give it a 4/5 and I’ll be back.

Amaro’s Bakery – Menu with Prices – 6408 Padre Island Hwy, Brownsville

I don’t know about the previous reviewer, but their conchas are the best I’ve ever tried, the bread is super soft and the one time I’ve had bread left over it lasted almost a week before it got hard and it never got mold. I’m not rich by any means, but I though that their prices were super cheap and I’m able to buy over a dozen for about four dollars. It is not the best looking bakery, but the bread is awesome.

Westside Village Bakery – Menu with Prices – 1716 S Robertson Blvd, Los Angeles

This was the best bakery on the westside with brownies that would knock your socks off. The scones were moist and delicious and baked fresh daily along with muffins, cookies, breads, etc. They had the most beautiful decorated cakes and bundt cakes. Lucky for us you can still buy a lot of these delicious baked goods on line at www.westsidevillagebakery.com.

Walmart Bakery Menu with Prices Anaheim

They always have a selection of baked goods, including breads, donuts, and cakes. You can also order a personalized cake. Really professional look on the cakes I’ve seen. You do have to order personalized cakes ahead.

Big Sky Bread Co – Menu with Prices – 3070 Far Hills Ave # c, Dayton

A fitting name for a bread company. Their breads are soft and fluffy like the clouds in the sky. I’ve had their cinnamon bread, wheat bread, pretzel rolls, and their garlic cheddar bread. The cinnamon bread was great! So much better than Cinnabon. The first part of the roll is perfect. Not too sweet, and super soft. As you get further to the end, the cinnamon only increases. Their pretzel rolls are perfect if you like salted pretzels. They are similar in saltiness. Out of all the baked goods I’ve tried from Big Sky, the pretzel rolls were the only ones that didn’t hold up well after a couple of days. Maybe it was the salt on the bread? Who knows. But by the second day the breads were soggy on the outside. On to their garlic cheddar bread. This bread is the best choice out of the four I’ve tried. So good. It tastes even better toasted.

la Madeleine French Bakery & Cafe Waco – Menu with Prices – 2816 Marketplace Dr Suite 101, Waco

I went to a la Madeleine’s in Dallas a while back, and I was thrilled when they constructed one here. Whenever we drove by, my parents and I would always check the status of the construction, and now that it’s finally done, WOW! We go whenever we’re down here, for the breads and the Café. We love their healthy menu options, as well as the fact that it sticks closer to French cuisine than some other restaurants. It features a bread box for the carb-lovers, and you can take as much bread as you want from it. (Within reason!) They serve breakfast all-day, and they have calories listed on their physical menu if you don’t want to look at their website for nutritional information. They have a bakery in-store, featuring items like Croissants, Danishes, Breads, Cakes, Tarts, Cookies, and other assorted pastries, as well as their signature: The Madeleine! Can’t recommend enough.

Valley Lahvosh Baking Company – Menu with Prices – 502 M St, Fresno

This is a really cool place. We stopped in after finding it quite by accident. Actually, we were surprised that it was open in the middle of the day for some reason but it was! They specialize in breads and water crackers and have been around a long, long time. And at this location! I knew nothing about Armenian goodies. The gal working inside was super sweet and was informative about this history of Lahvosh and some of its history. The walls are adorned with old time photos of the shop and how it has changed over the years. We saw many Hollywood stars signed photos who have likely tried the product or graced their doors. We got samples of the crackers (heart shaped!) and bought some fresh sesame seed buns. Also, we purchased a round bread on the $2 day old table. Still fresh. Have yet to try the bread as we are saving them for a special occasion but we were told they freeze really well – great! So, we froze them as soon as we got home but have all the confidence that they will be yummy. I have to go back as they sell Armenian butter but they were out. I have a weakness for good butter and I want to try. They also sell cold drinks in the cooler. All prices very reasonable.

Pemberton Farms Marketplace – Menu with Prices – 2225 Massachusetts Ave, Cambridge

As someone committed to shopping locally (especially food), trying to reduce packaging, and who eats vegan, I really love having Pemberton Farms available. Their new bulk foods section is awesome and I got a lot of snack foods to last me through the week for affordable prices. I love that I can buy bulk beans, rice, etc. as well as fill up on bulk hand soap, laundry detergent, cleaner, olive oil, kombucha, etc. without always buying the packaging. They have tons of variety of goods and have become even more well stocked in recent months. Staff are always friendly and check out quickly. They don’t automatically give you a receipt – they either ask or you have to ask for it. Cons: They are definitely pricey. They stock more expensive kinds of items, and I assume that they also have higher prices because they’re locally owned. It is my strong hope that these higher prices reflect better wages for the workers as that’s why I’m willing to pay them.

Sara Lee Outlet – Menu with Prices – 3232 Chelton Cir, Colorado Springs

I love this place !! Great deals and way way cheaper than a grocery store. Now they have an app sara lee . If u download the app u get a free loaf ! they get returns their drivers dont sell on their routes so, everyday they get different items! You do get a free item when u reach whatever the number is for the week on their whiteboard. She said anywhere between 8-12 bucks. Alot of variety there, they have jellys, chips, organic bread alot of neat items I’ve never tried before. Overall I had a great experience and will go back . Very nice girl who said hi upon entering and made sure i had a reward card and knew of the app and that i could get a free bread item for downloading it. Definitely worth the stop by. But as long as ur ok with close to date bread lol …

Roccos Bakery – Menu with Prices – 432 Ferry St, New Haven

Rocco’s has been around for a long time. It’s a traditional bakery. They have a wide verity of items. A number of types of fresh breads made daily. Also spinach, broccoli, sausage, and at least a few other types of stuffed breads, all are good. They bake a good selection of Danish, filled with cherry, apple, sweet cheese ect.. fresh and good filings, not skimpy. Their traditional Italian pastries are just ok. One problem is they don’t put enough filling in. mostly shell. They do sell Italian cookies ( never had any ) and taralli made there, which are hard to find and they are very good. Once, I had a bad experience with a cake I picked out of the counter (not pre ordered) that was just plain stale. Brought it to my mom for her birthday. Everyone said it was terrible. I should have brought it back as it was just not something they should have sold, but I didn’t bother. That experience definitely soured me on the freshness of the products they sell. When I’m in town, I still stop in occasionally but only buy a few things I know have to be fresh. Their prices are pretty cheap. If you’re looking for traditional Italian pastries Lucibello’s are significantly better. They have both mini and regular size. It’s nearby.

Muldoon’s Hand Roasted Office Coffee – Menu with Prices – 5680 Timberlea Blvd, Mississauga

Note: There is NO TAX for your purchase of consumable goods here, e.g. coffee, tea. Hidden gem! I’ve been meaning to check out Mississauga’s coffee roasting scene, so after running out of beans, today was the day! I had a list of 3 places on my list that were coincidentally all in the 403/Tomken Rd. area. On the side of the building, Muldoon’s has a side entrance into their outlet store. They sell coffee machines, filters, Keurig pods, boxes of tea, & of course, coffee beans. At the back of their store, there is an automatic coffee maker and you are able to taste test the various flavours/roasts before you commit to a bag of beans! Ashley was very helpful and I tasted 3 different coffees before I decided what beans that I wanted. Since it’s primarily me who drinks coffee at home, I didn’t want a full lbs, so I got just under 11oz for $5! To give you an idea, the last bag of beans that I purchased was around the same size for $10USD. So you save more than 50% and there’s NO TAX. They also have a loyalty programme where you get a stamp for every $20 you spend and get a free bag of beans on your 6th visit. After this experience, I don’t think I’ll ever buy coffee beans at retail prices! Bonus: None of the beans have been roasted more than a week ago! Another Bonus?: Their coffee cups are biodegradable. And they are trying to phase out the K cups because they’re not environmental.

Real Deal Sleep – Menu with Prices – 10755 Westview Pkwy A-2, San Diego

I honestly can’t say enough about this place. I went in to check out the stock. I wanted to go to a place where I could actually feel the beds instead of ordering something online that I find out I don’t like a month later. The people working in this store really care about your quality of sleep. I ended up purchasing a Posh and Lavish natural latex Zero gravity Adjustable base sleep system with massage feature, lumbar support AND separate pillow-tilt! This thing is ridiculous. I have had it for over 2 months and there is not one day I regret this purchase. I use every single one of the options daily. On top of that, I purchased the pillows, sheets and mattress covers they sell in the store. I purchased two sets and I can’t imagine every going back to any other products for my bed. In addition, I ended up buying a bed in a box mattress for one of my Airbnb rentals. My guests love it! On top of all of this, they offer 0% financing for all of their products. I shopped around and compared prices and you cannot beat these guys. They have the best costumer service and even called to check in a couple of times since I have purchased the mattresses. This is the best mattress store on the planet! Check out their reviews here and on their other store. It is what led me here in the first place! Thank you to everyone at Real Deal for your excellent service and helping me get the best sleep I have had in years!
