I want to begin by saying that I used to go to the Grand Barbershop in the Triangle, but then I followed all the cool barbers here when they went to start their own place up. First things first, this place highly discourages walk-ins in favor of appointments. This makes sense – no one has time to wait around at a barbershop anymore. I arrived right around my appointment time and was greeted with the incredibly clean, all-white room that is the Honest Barber. I waited 10-15 minutes for my barber to be ready for me, which was a bit longer than I would’ve liked, but the free beverages (both alcoholic and wholesome) made the wait more pleasant. When the time came, I sat down at David’s chair for my haircut. I showed him what I wanted, and he got to work on my long, messy mane. In the meantime, we talked about our lives – his was pretty fascinating; mine not so much – and essentially just enjoyed each other’s company. David did a great job with my hair and then shaved my neckline with the classic straight razor, which I find is rather unappreciated in 2019. I was a little dubious because he didn’t ask if I wanted the back square or rounded, but I assume he saw how it was before and followed suit. It would’ve set my mind a little more at ease if he had communicated this though. All in all, $30 + tip for a high-quality haircut and drinks included is a great value, and Honest Barber is my new go-to barbershop in Austin. Bonus: you might get featured on their Instagram page!

V’s Barbershop – Quail Springs Oklahoma City – Menu with Prices – 3000 W Memorial Rd Suite 119, Oklahoma City

I absolute love this barbershop. The atmosphere is incredible with relaxing jazz in the background, the classic old-timey feel and the welcoming environment. The owners Sharif and Stacie are very engaged in the business which is not something you see much nowadays. They greet you with a warm smile and take care of you from start to finish. Mark was my barber and he did a fantastic job. I had a bit of scare with my haircut two days after it was done and went back to see him and the whole staff went absolutely above and beyond to take care of me. I will definitely be back for my next haircut and I 100% recommend Vâ??s to anyone who wants a great experience and haircut.

El Cid Barbershop – Menu with Prices – 2730 S Dixie Hwy #3, West Palm Beach

I have known Juan (the owner) from way before he opened this Barbershop. He is a great barber and very qualified to give you any type of haircut that you may want: skin fades, blowouts, classic… You name it. Most importantly, he is a good human being with a great heart; you will notice that as soon as you walk-in. I am a very picky customer when it comes to getting haircuts and I have to say that Juan is top quality! I have been extremely satisfied with his work! In regards to his barbershop: AWESOME! This is a very fun, relaxed and professional atmosphere not only for adults, but for children as well. Juan has his mind in the right place when it comes to running a business. Satisfaction and hospitality for his clients comes first. He also has a good group of guys that fit just right in with his business philosophy. If you are looking for a very qualified barbershop along with great customer service, then I strongly recommend El Cid Barbershop!

Grumpy Old Men?s Barbershop & Shave Parlor – Menu with Prices – 711 S Vine Ave, Ontario

I came in a few days ago and was nervous. I’ve only had 5 people cut my hair in my life and am incredibly critical. I sat down I told her what I wanted and away we went. I’ve been going to someone that has done a good job at fantastic sams for 10 years… I got tired of all their drama with each other and just couldn’t take it anymore. Grumpy old men’s found me on Instagram and I followed back. It was a sign. Plus my GF says im grumpy. When all is said and done I had one of the best haircuts in my life. I’m not exaggerating at all. She did such an incredible job and I’m finally back in a barbershop… This is My Barbershop. Update : her Name was Syria and she’s my barber! Can’t wait for my next haircut

Modern Gents Premier Barbershop & Bar – Menu with Prices – 8233 Cooper Creek Blvd, Bradenton

I just moved to the area and was looking for a new barber/shop. Did some research and decided to give this one a try. To be honest, I was not necessarily impressed. I called ahead to ask if appointment was needed or walk ins are accepted. The girl that answered didn’t seem to be too knowledgeable about the process or products. She seemed to be reading them off a brochure or menu and didn’t seem confident. She was hesitating when giving answers. But I booked my appointment and asked for the presidential plus straight razor beard trim package. I arrived just in time. The place is nice and clean, seems upscale with large TVs. The barber was prompt and invited me in to sit at one of the chairs. I was told he was a master barber, however what that means to them was not explained to me (there is a $5 up charge for the services of a master barber but I don’t know why I paid that) the cut itself was good. I am satisfied with it. However, the presidential package should include the cut, straight razor trim, hot towel, shampoo cleanse and a scalp and shoulder massage. I only received the cut, towel and razor trim; no shampoo wash and no massage. I am not happy that I asked for and more importantly PAID for those services; however they were not rendered. It was my first time going there so I wasn’t sure in which order things were done so I kept waiting for the rest of the services but they never came. In a place like that, with the upscale vibe they’re going for and prices they’re charging, the customer should never have to tell them “what about my massage? Or what about my shampoo wash?” That is just awkward. It was not crowded, it was a weekday and middle of the day so it’s not like the shop was full and they couldn’t take their time. As a matter of fact, the products have a time frame in the menu on the website and the cut and beard trim was well under the estimated time. Not sure if they did enough to earn my repeat business.

Studio 3 Barber Lounge – Menu with Prices – 2795 cabot dr ste 6-105 #31, Corona

Great experience, as always with Justin! Although this is not your typical barbershop, it is very nice and clean. The conversations are always interesting and the humor is greatly appreciated. Since they are right in the front, you have a nice view of beautiful Dos Lagos while you get your hair cut and beard trimmed. Justin is masterful with the clippers and a straight razor. I never have to worry about mistakes and my lines are always symmetrical, clean, and crisp. I have always had a hard time trusting someone to trim and tame my beard but these guys take their time to ensure only the highest quality is achieved. Highly recommended! Go see for yourself! Thanks to to the guys at Studio 3 Barber Lounge- Keep doing what you’re doing!

Barberella’s barbershop – Menu with Prices – 9823 16th Ave SW, Seattle

I live in West Seattle and I’ve been traveling to Mountlake Terrace every two weeks for my haircut. The reason I drove so far was because the place I went to had plenty of chairs (with barbers working, no appointment needed, and they did everything a true barber should do (comfortable haircut, razor neck shave, ears, eyebrows, etc). After getting a mediocre cut I decided to look for something closer. I stumbled upon Barberella’s and thought this might be a good fit for me. I actually love the online booking..so easy. Their hours are great (open till 9pm) and thanks to Cristina and her very efficient cut I am sold that this place is the real deal. She did everything I expect from a sitting and also washed my hair…(scalp) after. My new go to…

Broken Spoke Tacoma – Beer. Barbers. Bikes. – Menu with Prices – 1014 M.L.K. Jr Way, Tacoma

UPDATE: so as per my 3 star rating. I have adjusted my rating to 5 star. I’ve since visited 2 times since my first visit here. the people have been nothing but accommodating. My $55 gift card which was for a deluxe package was turned into 2 haircuts, since I don’t have a beard to shave. Learned that offer Military Haircuts for $20 The barber Georgette is very nice. Did a great job. Was even able to work with me on the 2nd visit cause I got off work late and showed up 10 min late to my appointment. Got to learn the history of the place which was pretty cool! Highly recommend this place and Georgette! .Let it be known..I have a barber that I already go to weekly. I went here cause a close friend stops in here frequently. So they had purchased a $55 gift certificate here for my birthday. I had not scheduled a haircut with my barber the week I visited, cause I was going to give this place a try. How to say this…I didn’t have the best experience…but I didn’t not, not like this place. I originally wanted to give this a 2 star rating, but with the few mishaps/observations I had they, a few have been corrected, and as I give this place another shot I will reevaluate my review. High points: great vibe, great set up, love the fact that you can chill and have a beer while waiting to get a haircut. The haircut turned out great from the barber I had that day. Low points to my visit: 1. They open at 10 am, I showed up at 11:15-11:20, expecting maybe a wait for a walk in haircut. BUT as I showed up, their barber had not shown up yet. *I do understand that people run behind, it was also the barbers 1st day. The barber showed up a little over two hours after the shop had opened. I had sat for at right about an hour, after sitting at the bar and had purchased a beer. I almost didn’t get a haircut, and was just slightly annoyed cause I needed to find a place to get a haircut that day for work the following day, and my barber was booked.ran into the barber right as I was walking out to leave. He had stopped me, and asked if I was here to get a haircut? I responded “well I was”, and he insisted that I stay and that he was ready to go. So I ended up getting a good haircut. 2. I was not able to redeem my gift certificate. My gift certificate was written on the back of a business card, and the gift certificate can only he redeemed by that person on that person. When asked the person running the bar didn’t know if the person still worked there. *Thankfully the gift certificate was on the back of the business card, and I was able to find the person’s IG and messaged that person. Turned out they still work there, just part time. Also since the person only works there part time, with a limited availability, they transferred my gift certificate to another barber. Thank goodness for that, cause I would have hated to see my friends gift certificate become wasteful. 3. In the one visit alone, i learned both the barber who cut my hair and the barber who the gift certificate was bought for only work there part time. * A key note for me who frequently gets my haircut, I want someone who cuts full time and isn’t working a more than one location. I don’t want to be limited on the day’s I can schedule a haircut. I tend to have a set day and an alternate day each week that I get my haircut, but things do come up and sometimes I need to adjust, but I would like to know that someone will be available. But I have high hopes, and I’m sure that I will readjust this review after my next cut. All and all, I did like my haircut, I like the place. With the few reservations I have, I don’t know if it would be a place I would leave my current barber to come to.

Yellowbelly’s Barber Shop – Menu with Prices – 2014 28th St, Sacramento

I am a big fan of the classic barber experience. A clean cut, a great environment, no frills, and maybe a beer while I wait. And Yellowbelly’s meets the mark and way more! I stumbled into Yellowbelly’s after my current barber had no openings when I needed it. Since I was on the search, I stumbled across Yellowbelly’s. I walked in without an appointment and had no problem being seated. My first cut, I had Richie who was incredibly detail oriented and did such a phenomenal job, my loyalty was already won over from my previous barber. This place is legit! I came back recently and got a cut from Johnnie and I was just as happy as the first time. This is my new place and I say if you’re looking for a classic barber experience and an incredible cut, look no further!

SCRUFFâ??S BARBERSHOP Menu with Prices 1601 E 5th St #106, Austin

I recently relocated to Austin from San Francisco and was referred by a friend to Scruff’s Barbershop to get my hair cut by Tim Durant. Everything from the online booking, to the really amazing personality to my fabulous haircut was perfect. I literally cannot say enough positive things about this experience and I have had so many compliments on my haircut. Tim really knows what he is doing and took the time to get to know me, my style and exactly what I wanted. His barbershop is super cute, in a really cool part of town, and was extremely well designed. The location is quite and chill while also super cool and edgy. I am so excited to have found Tim and Scuff’s as it’s my new neighborhood go to. Not only is he super handsome and talented, but he is extremely kind. Thanks Tim and Scruff’s for an amazing experience. I will see you soon!

Union Barber Station – Menu with Prices – 3590 Redondo Beach Blvd, Torrance

First of all, the owner Rico is very dedicated to what he does. He’s a great barber and always does a great job. I had been looking for a great barber for the past 3 years since I moved to the South Bay, and FINALLY found one. I followed him when he opened his shop, and he did a great job. The fades are always neat and clean. His lines are always tight and for the quality of the cut, is very fast. I don’t mind sitting on the chair for awhile to get a good haircut, (my last barber took about 45min-1hr per cut), but it’s awesome that you can sit and be done within 30 min WITHOUT sacrificing the quality. You never feel like he’s rushing to get you out. A beer, water, mineral water, or soda comes with your haircut which is awesome!! He also has gels and different products in case you need it. A one stop shop! They accept walk-ins but I’d definitely recommend calling the shop if it’s your first time, and schedule something. You will definitely be back!!

Jersey’s Haircuts & Brews – Menu with Prices – 6726 Stanford Ranch Rd #4, Roseville

Without a doubt the worst haircut I’ve gotten in the 2010’s. Woman who cut my hair basically went against everything I said I wanted, changed the entire length/balance of my hair, and cut it so short that I can’t even go to get it fixed somewhere else yet. It’s been 6 weeks and somehow my hair is still both too short, and too long. Sometimes it’s hard to even leave for work in the morning because I feel like I look like an idiot and can’t do anything I normally do with my hair. My bangs are half gone, the middle of my head is weirdly longer than the front or back, I don’t know what to do with myself. And when someone at work asks about my haircut, I get embarrassed I even have to address it. It’s neat having a barber shop where you can drink and watch TV, but that doesn’t replace being a good barber shop. I’m never coming back here, I’ll take being sober over being butchered any day.

The Local Barber & Tap Menu with Prices 84 W Walnut St, Asheville

I was so excited to take my 2 year old to this barber this morning 2/16/19. We waited for about 30 minutes for our turn which with a toddler is a tall order to begin with and unfortunately the barber (2nd seat from the door) was Incredibly rude and unwelcoming to a mother with her child. He treated me like I was stupid that I didn’t know the length of shears, he had zero patience with my child. He wanted to (start) with shears. Which to a toddler (to whom haircuts are relatively new) are loud and a little scary, when after two tries, (both times my child winced at the sound) instead of starting with scissors like a normal person, he rudely acted like it was my 2yr olds fault that shears were scary and he wouldnt be able to cut his hair and made us leave. I walked out of there humiliated and offended. To say that I am disappointed is an understatement. We won’t be going back and I would not recommend this place for anyone with a small child (to whom hair cuts are a relatively new concept). Reply: The Local Barber & Tap actually my son has had about 5 or 6 other haircuts prior to my attempt at visiting your shop and they stylist or barber has always started with trimming with scissors to ease him into the experience before coming at him with loud shears. While the reviews are for different reasons, the commonality is that neither shop is sensitive to the needs of a toddler be it making him wait for an hour & skipping him in favor of another adult male who has the capacity to wait….. how do you think a hair cut will go if you make a toddler wait for an hour and expect him to be jazzed about sitting still for a haircut? Also – your barber didn’t wanna cut a toddlers hair to begin with, I could see it in his expression when he called my sons name and I pointed to a toddler.
