My wife and I stopped by on a Sunday in order to experience a small Mexican joint. Sadly, theyâ??re closed on Sundays. We returned 5 days later and we are so glad that we did. THIS is authentic, affordable and delicious Mexican food. I loved the green enchiladas and my wife devoured a fajita quesadilla. The chips/salsa that we ordered were freshly prepared- very warm and crunchy with a delicious homemade unique salsa. Only about 8 tables in the place so you might seek an early dinner in order to avoid crowds. We had a 330pm late lunch. Iâ??m going to return to sample their breakfast. The server and manager were so kind and friendly. Please support this neighborhood business if you live in the North Garland/Richardson area.

Little Garden Restaurant – Menu with Prices – 2786 Lancaster Rd, Ottawa

Serving an all day breakfast and Lebanese fare, we frequently visit the Little Garden Restaurant for a late breakfast on Saturdays. Their menu accomodates both my love of bacon, and my wife being vegetarian. The food has always been the perfect diner-style breakfast, prepared to our tastes. The Lebanese potatoes served as a side with most breakfast combos add a somewhat unique and enjoyable twist to the classic breakfast. My wife and I have both tried a variety of things from their breakfast menu, and have never been disappointed. In what may bit a bit of an odd combination, the Little Garden Restaurant specializes in both diner-style all-day breakfast and Lebanese cuisine. While we haven’t tried the Lebanese cuisine ourselves, I can note that while we have “breakfast”, we do see a fair amount of traffic from other people ordering their lunch. I do believe the Lebanese cuisine would be just as good as the breakfast menu, and wouldn’t hesitate to order it if I was passing by and hungry for lunch or dinner.

El Molino de Oro – Menu with Prices – 728 N Tustin St, Orange

Kind of a mixed experience here. My wife picked up dinner one night, and we have had breakfast here once. I don’t really recall the food that my wife got to go, but I think it was ok. Breakfast was a mixed experience. On the positive side, my son really liked the juice and pastries he go. The bakery side of the business seems pretty good. The bread is self-serve then you take it up to the register. That makes things pretty quick. I think I will come back for baked goods. On the restaurant side, things are not quite as good. I ordered a breakfast burrito with sausage. I asked them to hold the cheese. The burrito was not memorable except for the fact that there was cheese on it. Also, I had to ask for salsa because they don’t have a salsa bar or salsa on the tables. I also ordered a small menudo. Again, it was not memorable. It was just ok. Maybe I just got unlucky because my wife said her breakfast special was good, and my son enjoyed his breakfast tacos. Mind you, I ate my burrito and a good portion of the menudo, so it wasn’t bad, it just wasn’t great. Service tends to be quite slow on the restaurant side. Maybe I’ll come back to give it another try. I want to like it, so we’ll see.

Inner Circle Cafe – Menu with Prices – 2515 N Scottsdale Rd, Scottsdale

I read the awesome reviews here and was excited to go check out this spot! I was even more excited to find unique late flavors on the menu – including a favorite of mine, Lavender. The late was delicious and not too sweet! I also ordered the breakfast burrito – which was made with sweet potato and paired with delicious salsa. I would deff. order this again! It was filling but didn’t leave me feeling heavy like most breakfast burritos! The staff was friendly and sincere. I felt cared for while I was there! Furniture included comfy couches and tables/chairs. Lots of space for work or hang out. My only complaint was that some of the couches didn’t feel super clean and I had some flies that bugged me a bit while I waited for my drink/food.

Casa M?xico Restaurante – Menu with Prices – 5511 McPherson Rd, Laredo

Wow, the food is unbelievable and the portions are very satisfactory. A few business friends from Mexico and myself had lunch here. Why take Mexicans to a Mexican restaurant far from their home? Well, to prove that Laredo does have authentic mexican food restaurants. Handmade tortillas, flour and corn! And you can sit by a window and see the lady make them from scratch right before your very eyes. They have sweet bread and pastries authentic to a certain area in Mexico. As for the flavor, i couldnt care less if they store bought it locally; ð??? it was super delicious. Eat early for breakfast, lunch or dinner. The resraurant is very classy inside. I felt weird in flip flops and shorts. But very enjoyable experience.

Tide Tables Restaurant and Marina – Menu with Prices – 12507 Cortez Rd W, Bradenton

We went for dinner after a big down pour of rain and so we had to sit inside. When you go request a table outside. They are the best. The view is great no matter what. And the food is oh so delicious. My friend and I both ordered the fried fresh grouper sandwich ($18.00) comes with slaw and chips or you can substitute another side. I got the fries and they were hot crunchy and delicious. My grouper sandwich did not disappoint. Hot. Delicious white fish. Full of flavor. And pairs so nicely with their tarter sauce that I believe has some dill in it. The slaw is mayo based. I added salt. We ate our sandwiches and then finished our meal by sharing a piece of key lime pie. Graham cracker crust. The perfect amount of key lime tart and oh so creamy. It was delicious. Homemade pie. I love Tide Tables. The view is fantastic. The service is great. The food is awesome. It’s a smallish place so go early or late to avoid the crowds but be sure to go. You will not be disappointed. I talked to a patron in the parking lot who said her fish tacos were to die for. I’ll save that for another trip.

Casita Taqueria – Menu with Prices – 2701 4th St N, St. Petersburg

I love this place. I’ve been twice and plan to return. The interior atmosphere has a cool funky vibe to it, the staff are all very friendly and attentive, they usually have cooking shows and sports playing in the TVs, and it’s a super relaxing environment. I’ve had the Chicken Tamales with Roja Salsa, and the Carnitas Torta, chips and salsa and churros. The Torta was incredible and the Tamales reminded me of all the Mexican food I had when I lived in California. The churros are so fresh and delicious and I would sincerely buy their salsa to take home if that were an option. Perfect portions, delicious food, reasonable pricing, and a great experience. Never too crowded even on the weekends and I highly recommend. Update: I’ve since been back a half dozen more times for lunch and dinner and it’s always a great experience. The food is always consistently delicious, the service is attentive and friendly, and that red salsa is so good. I love this place. I’ve even started bringing people here when they ask for good Mexican food near St Pete.

Pie Pan Restaurant & Bakery – Menu with Prices – 905 N Park Dr, Evansville

Since the change of ownership this establishment has went no where but south. We have made 5 attempts to acquire service and good food as in the past at Pie Pan, with breakfast, lunch and dinner times. Our last attempt was Friday May 10th. Just to explain our last visit: waited to be seated after being looked at by both waitresses a solid five minutes. Mind you, only 7 tables had occupancy in both dining rooms. After being seated at a dirty table with the previous customers crumbs, we were given our waters and we once again waited and waited for our server to return to give our orders, we simply exited this restaurant and vowed never ever to return again. We are very forgiving if we see shortage of help with overflowing business, but I can assure you neither were the case this visit. Perhaps if you could ever see a manager, a supervisor or owner in the front of the house, issues such as this could be resolved and future business would continue. No one seems to cares at the Pie Pan but the declining revenue if I were a proprietor would prompt me to look into the cause and effect method. I will continue to share my views on such inexcusable no service /less than mediocre food practices at Pie Pan and will stay to my promise to avoid Pie Pan forever, along with our friends and family.

Arriba Villa Taqueria And Mexican Food – Menu with Prices – 3040 University Pkwy, Winston-Salem

Hidden gem in Winston-Salem. We frequented this place at least once a week, usually more often than that, when it opened during our last year of law school. The servers are the greatest and the food is awesome. Everything we ever ordered was delicious. My favorites are the fish tacos, fried and with flour tortillas, and the shrimp fajitas. They let you order the lunch portion of dishes even at dinner which is just the best bc the lunch portions are plenty. The Texas marg is the way to go bc the extra tequila balances the sweet mix. We were genuinely sad to say goodbye to our favorite waiter when we had one last dinner here before moving away, and we miss the food here! And if you like super spicy salsa, ask for the spicy salsa as well when they give you the regular chips and salsa. You only need a little but it’s delicious!

Ohlala French Kitchen – Menu with Prices – 688 Bergen Ave Suite #1, Jersey City

This place is a very welcomed addition to the neighborhood! With new businesses beginning to pop up, it seems as if coffee shops are in abundance. Ohlala definitely has the best coffee of all of them. I just wish they were open to snag one on the morning commute. Yesterday was the first time I had brunch there. The food was extremely fresh. I had the bacon, egg and cheese croissant. Small in size, but the $6 price reflected it. It even came with a salad that had an amazing balsamic dressing. I’d definitely order this again. My husband had the avocado toast and was a bit unimpressed with the creativity they put behind it. He was hoping for more of a standard breakfast version with a fried egg on top. However, it came with goat cheese, cucumbers and balsamic. I thought it was unique and delicious but just wanted for him. That being said, we are both still excited to go back and try other things! Including lunch/dinner! After seeing one of our favorites restaurants close (oak on pine), we realize we all need to come together to support these new local restaurants and keep our money in the neighborhood! Go support Ohlala.. you won’t regret it!

Los Alamos Cocina – Menu with Prices – 1667 Summit St, Kansas City

I love hole in the wall places when looking for food. We were in the mood for a Mexican breakfast and decided to try this place out. Walked in and was greeted by the staff who were so friendly and patient with helping us to decide what we wanted. We started with complimentary chips and two different kinds of salsa (a green and red one). Both were a unique flavor than the normal salsa I’ve tried but were tasty. We also decided to get some guacamole which was made with super fresh avocados and was heaven in your mouth. I ordered a chorizo burrito with added rice and beans. The chorizo was delicious and the added rice and beans to my burrito was the cherry on top. I also ordered a small menudo. The spice on the menudo was just right and so full of flavor! I had ordered pan instead of tortillas and even that was amazing. Boyfriend had a 2 meat plate with what I believe was spicy Puerco Asada and Chile Verde. He was impressed which says a lot because he is picky with his Mexican food. Baby sis ordered a bacon and egg burrito that she enjoyed. I loved this family owned restaurant. I very much felt like I was at home with good Mexican food! Will definitely come back if I’m ever in Missouri again.

City Line Cafe & Deli Menu with Prices 1144 Broadway, Albany

We were hungry for a quick early lunch, late breakfast after setting up for an event in Menands. It was about 10:45. Heading down Broadway towards Albany most of the restaurants we might have stopped at weren’t open yet. We saw City Line and an open sign and we were there. A man was walking out with a takeout bag as we walked in. I suspect they do a lot of takeout for the local workers. We, however, sat at one of a few tables. The friendly woman (owner?) at the counter took our order. They have a large variety of sandwiches with simple ingredients which can be made into wraps or paninis too. They were out of soup on this Saturday but they have it for the weekday lunch crowd. They also have lots of breakfast options including breakfast wraps. I ordered the Tim’s Favorite wrap with turkey and lots of veggies and garlic, basil mayo. My husband got a breakfast wrap with sausage and eggs. My wrap hit the spot. Average deli turkey and wrap but the veggies were crisp and the mayo good. My husband enjoyed his breakfast wrap. Nothing exceptional here but if you’re in the area and need a quick bite here’s your spot.

LA TEDA Tapas & Tequilas Menu with Prices 5815 Windward Pkwy Unit 211, Alpharetta

I LOVED IT! CINCO DE MAYO, HERE WE COME!! I was so excited to hear about this new Mexican restaurant opening in my area, especially one that started serving breakfast at 7:30. What? I thought that was a misprint but followed up and found out that this was indeed the case. We traveled on over early one Saturday morning and guess what? They weren’t open and there was no note on the door. Boooo! A couple of months later while considering where we could grab a late lunch, we decided that we would give it another try. We walked in around 3:30 were greeted immediately and invited to seat ourselves. We looked over the menu and were surprised to see that they serve lunch until 4pm, which made ordering easy. I chose the chicken quesadilla which came with beans and rice. I later added a side of guacamole. My husband added his standard favorite, chicken fajitas which came with a salad/topping plate. While our food was being prepared, we enjoyed chips and salsa. I normally skip this part of the dining experience but their chips and salsa were a cut above. The salsa was not that boring bright red stuff that seems as if it is straight from the bottle; this salsa was a rich ruby red with a really rich flavor. It was delicious! Their chips were very thin and light and nicely seasoned. I found myself just making a meal out of these items because they were so good. By the time the actual food arrived, we were half-way there. The serving size was very generous and we were not able to finish it all. This food was not left over from the lunch crowd and reheated. It was well prepared, fresh and hot. Everything was nicely seasoned including the rice which is usually the forgotten item when it comes o seasoning. My husband’s fajitas were very well done with the perfect amount of seasoning, moisture and char. Even the water was delicious. I took an order of their coconut flan to go and it was sweet and rich with absolutely no topping, (chocolate, whipped cream) added. It needed nothing because there is no need to “gild the lily”. This restaurant is small and intimate with an upstairs area and a small patio. They offer casual and booth seating and yes, they have a bar. Our waitress was very nice and professional without making us feel as if we were being served by an android, from Star Trek. Anyway, we both enjoyed our visit and will be returning in the future.
