Party of 4 arrived here to do the rope course and possibly some laser tag on a rainy afternoon. When you first walk in you must either sign in or create an account on the Waiver Kiosk. Cell phone number and email address is mandatory which I was uncomfortable with since there was no way to opt out of text messages or junk emails. After using a fake number and fake email address you are prompted to accept the Terms and Conditions despite the fact that the terms and conditions were not stated anywhere on the kiosk. When I questioned an attendant (Valentine) she basically shrugged her shoulders and asked someone over her shoulder where the terms and conditions were. After asking several different people she finally asked the manager on duty and he said ‘oh well, they should just come up on the screen’. I asked if he had them written somewhere so I could read them and he said they did not. I asked how I could possibly be expected to click on the waiver without being presented with the terms and he sort of nervously laughed and told Valentine to sign us up under his name. She motioned for us to come to her register where she presented us with a ticket for admittance to the rope course within 20 minutes. She walked us through the arcade to the entrance to the rope course and when I asked her where I pay she just shrugged and said “it’s ok” and walked away. What?!?! I am giving this one star only because it was free and fun for those that participated. What the heck is the Waiver Kiosk for anyway? What are you being asked to waive? I am so confused. When we finished with the rope course and wanted to do laser tag it was the same story all over again. Still needed to accept terms and conditions but no one could provide me with what I was agreeing to. I would definitely come back again but they really need to fix this whole registration process. If you’re going to ask someone to agree to something you need to let them know WHAT they are agreeing to. Just crazy.

O’Briens Irish Pub – Menu with Prices – 2226 Wilshire Blvd, Santa Monica

Our IDS were checked when we got in and then a few steps into the bar they were checked again by a different employee. Not even 5 min later when we went up to the bar the bartender asked to check them again. Although annoying, we weren’t that bothered by this until the bartender refused to serve a member of our group because they could not repeat back the address on their ID (which he may have profiled our friend because he did not ask any other members of our group to do this). I understand that can look like someone is using a fake but my friend moves a lot so they forgot what address they had registered on their ID. Plus our IDs were already cleared by TWO other employees. Everything was settled as respectfully as possible and we left but it was frustrating because we actually all were of legal age. Safe to say we aren’t coming back

Tropical Smoothie Cafe Menu with Prices 3400 Washtenaw Ave, Ann Arbor

Horrible, humiliating and embarrassing experience at this Washtenaew Ave location in Ann Arbor, Tropical Smoothie Cafe. Thursday evening 7/25/19 approximately 6:35pm , I was told by cashier after ordering a smoothie and sandwich that my $20 bill was counterfeit. I was in shock and disbelief because I had just gotten money out my banks atm. The cashier marked the bill again with an old dried up “counterfeit pen,” said, “yes see here it’s not the right color this is counterfeit $20,” cashier shows it to the acting manger, whom never gives her name nor is she wearing a name badge and it was confirmed again that the $20 bill is fake. By this time there are several patrons waiting in line watching and staff members behind the counter snickering and laughing throughout the whole ordeal. I was told to pay with something else because I would not be served otherwise. I asked to make a report of some sort instead of just walking away from my hard earned money. I was informed by the “acting manger,” that they could call the police other than that I would be out of 20 bucks. I told the acting manger because the real manger was not available to go ahead and call the police. The acting manger stayed on the phone for several minutes while I’m waiting to speak to the authorities. The acting manager then pops out from behind the counter with a lame apology an envelope with names on it and an email address. The envelope had my $20 bill in it . She told me all the water marks were there and in deed the $20 bill was REAL! The envelope had Kennethpatoniv email address, manger Karrisa and Senyeah the cashier written on it. So the acting manager for that particular evening did not put her name on anything as if she was not involved or in agreement with all that had took place. Most humiliating experience ever! BEWARE of untrained manger, staffers and cashier who will take your money because the cheap counterfeit pen that they used was inaccurate.

Main Event Katy – Menu with Prices – 24401 Katy Fwy, Katy

I will give them a zero star if I could. We had a birthday party yesterday and it was the worst party experiences that I ever had. We booked their Extreme Package with bowling and laser tag for 22 kids, and on the contract it clearly stated that $5 FunCard will be given to each kid. When I signed the contract I was told for kids that are less than 48 inch tall who cannot play laser tag will be given a $10 FunCard, I asked them to add it on the contract but was told that every party coordinator know that rule. On the day of the party, we then told that instead of $5 Fun Cards, kids will be given amount of time for the arcade, and since everyone will be staying together kids that are not going to laser tag will not be given $10 Fun Card. I feel not comfortable as I was not given what was stated on the contract. What made me very angry was, there are 6 younger siblings that was also at the party, they were too young to play bowling or laser tag. I told the party coordinator that there will be 22 kids for the extreme package, I will be purchasing 2 $5 Fun card for the 2 younger siblings and we will purchase drinks for all 6. The party coordinator ask for the name for all 28 kids, I told them the 6 younger sibling will only be eating but not doing any of the activities and they said they still need the name. At the end, all 28 kids were charged for the EXTREME Package, and of course the $10 game card too. I don’t understand, 6 kids didn’t played bowling nor laser tag nor getting arcade card but they got charged for the whole package. For just drink and pizza? That must be a very expensive pizza! Not to mentioned I purchased additional two pizza and nachos for everyone. If they are charging the party package they should let me know ahead of time, so we can at least let them play bowling. We are only given 5 lanes for 22 kids to play bowling, if they are charging us for 28 kids then we should be getting more than 5 bowling lanes correct? And all 6 kids should be getting $10 FunCard for not playing laser tag correct? Nope, they are not given anything but pizza and drink. Our party coordinator are not taken a good care of us, the arcade card they gave us after the laser tag were not working, only some of the kids that stood out got a replacement cards, kids that were shy were walking around with a card not were not working and left the party disappointed. It was the worst party that I’ve ever hosted and I felt so bad for my guest. I will never host another party here ever again!

China Construction America – Menu with Prices – 525 Washington Blvd 31 Floor, Jersey City

I ordered a bowl with green , no rice. They offered me three types of veggie. I added the mapo tofu and steam fish to it. The waiter told me the steam fish is made to order so I waited. The first attempt, the fish cooked wrongly so I wait for another 5 minutes. Instead of giving me a separate bowl, at the beginning they asked me to bring my bowl of food that I already started eating ( pretty strange ). At the end I had the fish in separate bowl. The fish had no fiber, just a piece of scallion under the plain steam fish. I was quite happy finish the entire bowl of food and ate all the veggie. Unfortunately, after an hour, my stomach got very upset and end up in the bathroom all night with diarrhea. I think the veggie is not fresh and was site in the server for more than a few hours. There should be food safety standard in any restaurant in terms of leaving cooked food in open air ( max hours). Owner : the email is not valid . Whats your email address ? The owner asked me to call him. When I told him what happened to me ( since I did not have lunch and the only food is from his restaurant). He tried to say that’s the reason for my diarrhea. He said the food is above 135 *not sure if it is F or C. I feel the food is cold and has been sitting in the tray for at least 3 hours. According to the regulation , food can not be place in open air for certain amount of time as bacteria will grow especially in warm food. I hope the food in chinah is safe. In NYC, there is rating system and officer checking the food safety. I am not sure the arrangement in NJ.

Señor Machetes – Menu with Prices – 121 E Main St, Madison

Two friends and I came to this restaurant per recommendation from another friend. While the food was good, we were only at first pleased with the service. When our bills came, we were charged $9 for the small $5 margaritas we ordered. When we let our waitress know, she apologized for giving us the wrong drink menu – and said they now only carried one size. She also explained that she was unable to change the price herself and that only a manager was able to do that. We then asked if anyone was around who could. It seemed like she checked quickly and came back to tell us there was not and showed us the right drink menu and explained again nothing else could be done. This put us in an awkward position, so we still tipped, but felt that we were cheated because we spent more than what was advertised to us. We would have not ordered what we did, had we known the real price was $9. We felt that a manager should have been on duty to change the prices to what was advertised to us or that our waitress should have been able to do so. Also, after this experience I noticed the email given to those who also had Poor experiences under this review section and decided to email instead of leave a review. However, the email address came back as invalid. We will not be recommending this restaurant to anyone.

Krowd Kombat – Menu with Prices – 5446 1st St Suite C, Katy

My kids and I did this when they ran a sneak peak session. I’ve done traditional laser tag before and it was ok, I’m not much into gun games and I’m a grown woman. My kids needed me to play to even out the teams and I planned to just hide in a corner and pass the time thinking about my to-do list but it took a different turn. Setting up an account was fun, coming up with a “handle” they call it so I could come back and compare my stats. Already so different from laser tag. And then suiting up was exciting, made me forget I was a working mom with a growing list of things I needed to do that day. And then you get in there and receive your mission, which every 5 minutes there is a different game / mission. It was sooo much fun! I forgot I was 46 years old for an hour and even beat my 15 year old who sits around and plays video games all day :). Each game has a different strategy and you work as a team to try to beat the other team. I’ve never left old school laser tag and said “can’t wait to do that again” but I genuinely can’t wait to do this again.

Crave Popcorn Co. – Menu with Prices – 4021 Preston Rd # 619, Plano

Just order for the first time as a holiday treat for my nephews. It went over as I expected and they love it. The only area for improvement is the ordering process. I found two area’s of improvement, the first is the site asked for my email address to receive 10% of my order, I entered my email and it provided a code to be used at checkout. At checkout there was no place to put the code, now mind you I was on an iPad so the issue may be that the site is not mobile friendly. I emailed the company regarding the issue and have not yet heard anything regarding the adjustment. The second issue is not being able to pick the actual delivery date, they just ship it when they get the order so you have no idea when it will arrive, in my case I ordered it on a Thursday night and it was delivered the following Monday. Minor issues but over all a good experience.

XO Espresso Bar – Menu with Prices – 723 Lincoln Ln N, Miami Beach

If you’re as much a cinematic connoisseur as I am of the biopic of erstwhile pharmaceutical entrepreneur Antonio Montana, you know that one of his shell companies is called Montana Management. Though set before the internet era, some people use their domain heading when you need to give an email address but don’t want to be spammed. For example, tm (at) montanamanagement (dot) com. That is usually effective to get WiFi and skip the never ending spam emails. I mention that because the free WiFi at Lincoln Eatery filtered it as a fake email and I ended up having to give my real one with no visible way to opt out. Message to Lincoln Eatery IT: privacy is the new black. Please don’t request my email. I like to have some control over what and to which sites I leave my digital footprint. I literally walked two miles to eat a pretty delicious dinner and check out the new trending restaurant. All in all, it’s decent. I didn’t notice as much variety of vendors as their competition though. As I mentioned in reviewing their competition, price points are similar to a full restaurant this ostensibly discouraging sampling unless you come with a group. To me the point of food halls is to have various samples under one root., to find new faves. Something to keep in mind, just come with a group. That being said, I ordered a burger from “The Crafted Burger” and a Zacapa Rum Old Fashioned from the full bar with the hibiscus flowery decoration. My cocktail was close to perfection! It had a nice blend of bitters, and alcohol. It was strong enough to give me a mellow buzz without being “wasted” and not had a hangover the next morning. The mixology was really smooth. My main burger was pretty good as well. I don’t like to hear “mooo” so I ordered it medium well. It was still pretty juicy, and the greens tasted fresh. As I’ve become a fan of, I ordered it with an extra fried egg. That could have been a little more runny (personal preference.) I also enjoyed their mango bbq sauce on both my burger as well as extra seasoning for the fries. This condiment and my rum old fashioned are why I’m rounding up to 4. I do hope they consider my words on price point, online practices and egg preparation.

Dunkin’ Menu with Prices 131 Colonie Center Unit 416, Albany

I’m glad this place has improved. When I was in here the other day, I came to this floor not knowing what I should stop at, but knew I had to eat. I had been having problems in my teeth and from previous times at other Dunkin Donuts having problems, I had to stop in here. Although at first I was behind someone in line, their transaction only took a minute or so. I was up almost Likkity-split. I thought I’d only have one transaction with just one blueberry muffin, so when another customer who tried to cut the line asked if I was waiting to be served behind the rope-line (not really sure why a rope is really needed here, as a rope isn’t used at other Dunkin Donuts locations I know), I ended up telling her that I was next and that it would only take a second to get my order right. The employee I got was really nice (a complete opposite of what I got when I was here in January 2017) and took me rather quickly. She got me through the process of ordering and I was almost ready to leave to head to my seat when my eyes spotted the Limited Edition S’mores donuts (there were six at the time, but that didn’t last if you read on). I hadn’t had these donuts and wanted to try them. Since loosing a father in 2015 (to heart conditions) and having four remaining family members (plus myself) left, I occasionally buy donuts for those who are left and I had to try them. Since they were special, I really didn’t know what the price was for Limited Edition donuts (the board at Dunkin Donuts never describes this), so I asked and got results when I got the prices of $6.99! I gave them a rather triumphant “yes – go for it” and purchased the remaining six donuts that were in her tray for us to try. I had them box them all up and ate them later with my family – although I hadn’t gotten very far when I had to eat my donut (being just across the street in the parking lot for Bed Bath and Beyond/DXL Men’s Warehouse). Both orders were placed on my DDPerks account, and having had a birthday coupon for a free beverage, no one ever reminded me of it here. I had had a birthday last weekend, so I could’ve ordered a beverage had I remembered had someone reminded me that it was there (because I chose not to look into my list of coupons at that time)…(It should be standard protocol to upsell and try to get the customer to buy more stuff and when you see food plus a donut, try go get someone to buy a drink as well.) Your business lost and I ended up later giving my business to my local Dunkin Donuts to get that freebie from my account the very next day. The muffins and donuts were great. The muffins were nice and fluffy and I was able to pick them apart and put them in my mouth to munch them down (this is easier done than said here, when you know exactly what type of teeth problems I’m having), but the donuts weren’t quite what I wanted. Although the toppings to the S’mores tasted a little on the hard (stale) side, the inside filling (liquid marshmallow) wasn’t at all anything like that. I thought the small marshmallows (as few as their were), chocolate and pieces of graham cracker was ingenious for the top, but the marshmallow filling was too “weird” for me or some of my family (my family was saying “there’s got to be something else they can fill these with, but the marshmallow filling just isn’t it”!). Maybe my voice was heard, and I thank you.

Villa Dolce – Menu with Prices – 20 City Blvd W #811, Orange

Unbelievable experience today! I read the reviews and expected a mediocre experience, and yes, the yogurt is mediocre. The customer service dropped it down from 2-3 stars to 1. In terms of the yogurt, some of the machines are runny, and many of the flavors taste overly fake like syrup. In addition, they are stingy with sample cups. They have yogurt gelato and non-dairy sorbets, but the taste is just not up to par to other yogurt establishments. I came in the evening and many of their fruit toppings were not refilled and near empty. I only came because I had a BOGO coupon from a coupon site that had other coupons with the EXACT wording as coupons I’ve previously used. The store employee refused to honor the coupon saying it’s a Buy 1 then on your next visit get the next one free. So is said ok..then I’ll do 2 different transactions for my 2 cups. She then changed the terms just so I couldn’t use the $5 off to Buy 2 then get the 3rd one free. When I said I’d buy a 3rd she looked shocked like REALLY?! I didn’t buy a 3rd and because I was reading the terms out to her and trying to understand how she could interpret it and change the terms twice, she said I’ll give you a discount of $1 since you’re confused. She then abruptly turned around. This is on top of the fact that this yogurt is expensive at 49 cents an oz…totally not worth the quality.

Wine & Design – Menu with Prices – 6052 NW 63rd Terrace, Kansas City

My boyfriend took me here on Valentine’s day for a couple’s painting class. We arrived 15 minutes early and after confirming our reservation for the class, were instructed to grab some aprons and take a seat wherever we liked. They encourage you to bring drinks and snacks to enjoy while you’re painting, but my boyfriend and I were so focused on painting that we didn’t even go for the candy that they had laid out for Valentine’s day. The paintings that we would be working on that night were already outlined by the staff beforehand so that we would have guidelines to work with. The instructor walked us through the process of creating the painting step by step and walked around the class offering help to those that needed it. (I would definitely recommend sitting closer to the front if you’re going to be asking for a lot of help so that it’s easier for her to get to you.) She was enthusiastic throughout the whole two hour long class, and encouraged everyone to get a picture with their work before they left. At the end, they offer glitter for you to add to your paintings, and let you blow dry it to make sure it’s ready to take home. Overall, it was a really great experience, and I would definitely come back in the future!

The Maker Bean Cafe – Menu with Prices – 1052 Bloor St W, Toronto

Chris and Lorraine, and other Maker Bean staff helped me fine tune a design for an address plate for my home. They suggested acrylic inserts which greatly enhanced the look I was after. They expertly laser cut and assembled the board inserts, and helped problem solve along the way. Everyone was super helpful and professional. It was a visit to Maker Bean for a coffee that got me started on the project when I realized that though I had design ideas, I had no way to produce them, and they could. I especially love that they are in my neighbourhood. I am already thinking about other projects!
