Stayed in downtown BR for business with a few colleagues and frequented this joint almost every am for breakfast because their ingredients were fresh and made to order in a timely manner. After 3 days of eating there I picked up one of their punch cards cuz I noticed it on the counter. They never offered it to me which I found to be a bit disappointing. The card has 2 rows of punches. We loaded up the card quickly for a free crepe on the first row so we were able to get a free crepe one morning. Yippee, since we were on a budget. We only had another few days in town and our punch card was almost full on the second row so I figured we would get another free crepe by the end of our stay. Not so. The next day, the guy behind the counter took my card, threw it away and gave me a new one with different punches. It was then I realized the cards have one line for breakfast crepes and one line for lunch crepes. Because I had ordered a lunch crepe every morning and my 2 friends had ordered breakfast crepes, the card was full for a free bfast but not for lunch. I asked why I got a new card, he explained the difference of the punches. That bummed me out because I was in town for only a few more days and was hoping to get that last free crepe. I mean, who doesn’t want that free thing when your card is getting punched? We dine there every morning, they know we are out of town and won’t be around to fill the card with both bfast and lunch and still pull this prank. Really? My go to crepe was the ratatouille without cheese, add chicken. Should be a swap out of protein, in my opinion because they put so much cheese in the original crepe, but they charge an extra $1.50 for the chicken even though there is no cheese. The owner, however, is a great guy so I would continue to go back if I lived in town.

Cafe Marcel Creperie & Espresso Bar – Menu with Prices – 2281 N Oracle Rd, Tucson

I stopped for breakfast here on this morning on a whim, and I’m so glad I did! It’s a cozy, casual little breakfast spot serving crepes and coffee. The menu is limited — crepes only! — so only come here if you’re definitely in the mood for crepes. This is definitely a case of doing only one thing and doing it very well, though. They do both savory and sweet crepes, which will likely be able to satisfy people all along the savory vs. sweet breakfast spectrum. I got the “Stuffed Frenchie,” which straddles the sweet-savory line by combining egg and brie inside the crepe, and then being topped with cinnamon, maple syrup, strawberries, and whipped cream. I also added bacon at the suggestion of the woman working the counter, and it was a great addition. My breakfast companion got the “Olivia,” which is their most popular crepe. It’s strawberry and Nutella, topped with chocolate, granola, powdered sugar, and whipped cream. She also added banana to it. Both crepes were very good — the Stuffed Frenchie felt more like a solid breakfast, while the Olivia felt like a decadent dessert. Cafe Marcel also has an assortment of tea and coffee drinks, including a delicious nutella mocha. It’s a great pairing with the Olivia!

Alakea Delicatessen – Menu with Prices – 201 S King St, Honolulu

I still like the food a lot here, but have decided to take my business elsewhere… They have a buy 10 get the next free promotion. When you get your punch card, that’s pretty much all it says and that the free meal can be no more than $7.99 in value. First, I went in with my ouch card completed with a coworker and thought that I would pay for her meal and get mine as the free one from the promotion. No, that is not allowed. You can’t buy someone else’s meal and get yours on the promotion. Whatever, so that time I paid for both meals. Then I go in a few days later by myself to claim my free “eleventh” meal and now they’re telling me that there are only two meals that I can choose from that qualify for the “free one”. Again, these rules are not posted anywhere and are not on the punch card. So, I ordered one of the two. Then I go in a few weeks later and I ask for another punch card. Same deal, no additional rules posted anywhere or printed on the card. NOW, only certain meals qualify to be counted on the punch card. Geez, why even bother! Basically, I was brushed off and told, “that’s how it is”. It’s this treatment that bothered me the most. I will be spending my money elsewhere, even if they don’t have a punch card promotion.

Monsieur Crêpe – Menu with Prices – 105 N Hill Ave, Pasadena

Craving crepes that aren’t creepy, but are kinda incredibly crazy good? Then say “Oui” to Monsieur Crepes in Pasadena! I just happened to be in town for a stand up comedy competition and after a night of, shall we call them “festivities” that lasted until 3 am in the morning, I needed some serious breakfast fuel up fare to get me ready for the next night of making folks laugh! Monsieur Crepe HIT THE SPOT!! I got their traditional crepe which consisted of eggs, your choice of cheese (Swiss cheddar or mozzarella) and your choice of meat (the first morning, I got it with bacon, the next with chicken sausage and both were delish) all wrapped up in one of the softest most melt-in-your-mouth crepes I’ve ever had(and I’ve had them in Paris, if you’ll allow me a bit of a braggart moment here ;). Seriously it was like buttah! I was pleasantly surprised that the crepe was served with a side salad with fresh leafy greens and strawberries with balsamic vinaigrette. Plus, their espresso coffee was delicious! And to think I was on my way to the Starbuck’s just down the street! Dodged that bullet! Oh and, by the way, the service was perfect! I think it was the owner or manager who waited on me. And he was French!! Tray bee-en(sp?) Next time I find myself craving a non-creepy, incredibly crazy good crepe in Pasadena, you’ll know where I’ll be!!

Our Crepes & More… – Menu with Prices – 3810 Oleander Dr, Wilmington

This is my new favorite place! It’s so intimate & welcoming! It’s a small stand alone building in place off Oleander..located down the street from Independence mall. I’ve only been here twice so far but I’m in love! There’s some great French themed photos & art inside. I believe the owner is originally from France too. Fast and super friendly service! The set up is somewhat different. When you enter the restaurant, you just join the line to order your food & then the cashier assigns you a table number after paying. I really didn’t think I’d love crepes this much but this is the perfect breakfast spot. If you’re anything like me, I thought all crepes were sweet and/or fruit filled (which are great when you have a sweet tooth) but not always ideal when you’re craving a savory breakfast. Apparently, not a crepes are created equally lol. While they do have a large crepes menu with sweeter options, their savory crepes menu options are the best (in my opinion)! I always order the Morning Crepe combo (cheese mix, egg, bacon, sausages, hash brown, tomatoes & the greatest remoulade sauce ever!) The combos all come with coffee or tea (hot or iced). All for under $10…winning! I have a friend who ordered the St. Malo crepe (slices of turkey breast, red onions, tomatoes, spinach & remoulade suace, topped with a dash of salted whipped cream & remoulade sauce). She said it was the best crepe she ever had. PSA: The salted whipped cream & remoulade sauce are everything, in case I wasn’t clear! Do yourself a favor when you stop in. I’m such a fan!

Renee’s Crêpes & Cakes – Menu with Prices – 2020 Augustine Ave, Fredericksburg

What a wonderful crepe experience! We arrived for breakfast to find a quaint, clean, well appointed little nook of a place that made us feel immediately comfortable and optimistic about our choice. We weren’t disappointed. Two of us devoured The Chefs Crepe, The Breakfast Crepe, and the Nutella Berry Crepe. There are so many to choose from but these hit the spot. The coffee was foamy, smooth, and tasty. The orange juice was not from concentrate and perfect with the savory breakfast crepes. The owners were the staff and were friendly and proud of their craft and establishment. Delightful people! We would happily return for more the next time we are in town.

Espresso 4U – Menu with Prices – 1413 72nd St E, Tacoma

This is a great little coffee shop. They have the convenience of a drive thru on both sides of the building, but you can also just walk up to either window. They have a punch card that gives you a free drink of your choice after 10 punches, and punches are based on what you spend, not number of drinks! They have gotten my order correct everytime I have ordered there, even with picky special instructions. They are friendly and greet you with a smile every time. They mainly just have drinks, but also have a small selection of muffins available. Shots are NOT burnt as other chain coffee shops do!

Crepe-Madame Catering – Menu with Prices – 160 14th St, San Francisco

Catered crepes sound delicious with just the name, and Crepe Madame definitely did not disappoint! They had 4 staff members each manning 2 crepe stations, so 8 people at time (or well, 8 crepes at the time – for those who order more than one at once :P). Two choices of savory crepes and four sweet crepes on their menu this time. I got the La Tour Eiffel which included 4 pieces of roasted turkey, a generous amount of cheddar cheese, ratatouille (vegetable mix with a hint of spiciness), lemon vinaigrette, spinach and spicy mayo sauce. The other savory crepe was La San Francisco (I love these names!), which looked like the vegetarian option. I’m sure they would also be willing to accommodate custom orders too. I was way too full after the savory crepe to get a sweet one, but I definitely want to try one next time! The staff were super friendly and enthusiastic, making sure to confirm my order and to ask if adding spicy sauce was okay before doing so. They also brought a beautiful chalkboard of their menu today and who doesn’t enjoy pretty chalk work? ? Overall, delicious and super filling lunch!

The Flat Creperie – Menu with Prices – 5385, 111 Water St E # A, Charlottesville

I have been waiting to try this gem for so long, and on Saturday the moment finally came! We stopped in around 12:30 for a savory lunch crepe, and didn’t have to wait in line to order, however after we ordered people started coming and lining up, so we got lucky with our timing! The crepes took maybe 8 minutes or so to come out, and when they did they were smoking hot, delicious-smelling, and way bigger than I thought they’d be. Serious meal. I was stuffed after eating my delicious classic, the ham and Swiss crepe. The ham and Swiss both tasted high quality and very flavorful, and the apple slices in it balanced the saltiness perfectly. The only complaint I had was that by leaving the apple skin on, they were harder to bite through successfully amidst the other layers and m the apple slices kept sliding out when I’d take a bite. Not a deal breaker. My husband got the Southside of heaven crepe and it was stuffed full of sausage and cheese and all the fillings. I tried it and it was seriously good–so well balanced and definitely a good hearty combo. We’ll be back soon to try more and we want to try the sweet crepes next. I was so impressed with the service–very friendly and personable– and with the quality of the product. The crepes themselves were delicious and sturdy and I’m salivating in memory. Check out the flat, if you haven’t yet!

Cafe Atalaya – Menu with Prices – 66 E San Francisco St Suite #11, Santa Fe

Confession: I am not a crepe guy. Never never. Until we had breakfast at Cafe Atalaya. And now I am a fan–at least of theirs!!!! Imagine a lox crepe on a Sunday morning: forget the bagel. Let’s try loads of lox on an open double layered crepe covered with yogurt and the lox. Don’t worry about the cream cheese: you won’t miss it. Add diced tomato, capers and cucumber on the side along with perhaps the most perfect sliced hard boiled egg I have ever eaten. You get the idea. It was good–real good. Not to be outdone: Sandra had an incredible Nutella and banana crepe, stuffed to the gills with the filling topped with powdered sugar and chocolate. Like, huge!!!!! The place is relatively new, however very well located right across the street from the square. I have no doubt they will do very very well. I certainly hope so–their crepes certainly made me a convert.

Crepe & Cup – Menu with Prices – 3842 Irving Mall, Irving

Came to the Macy’s and accidentally coming in through the food court, this is towards the entrance so I was immediately drawn to the big pictures of Nutella strawberry crepes and the savory cheese and ham.my friend and I decided to have dinner there and ordered a savory turkey ham and cheese crepe and for dessert a strawberry Nutella crepe. The savory crepe was huge it was cut in 4 triangle slices like a quesadilla. The cheese was just shredded bag cheese the one that come in a huge bag. They make the crepes in front of you. The added several seasonings and spices and served it with a small cup of Valentina hot sauce and something that tasted like a chipotle ranch. I like the crepe but I expected more based of the huge pictures, I’m bummed that they didn’t use better cheese like Gouda, provolone or even fresh mozzarella. The turkey ham was also nothing special. I only ate two slices and took the rest home to my husband, he also didn’t really like it.The Nutella crepe was okay also, it was lacking Nutella and the strawberries were pretty but sour, the crepe itself was too flowery and not light and fluffy, I definitely prefer the ones I get at IHOP, those are the only ones I can compare them to as I haven’t tried others. With all that being said, if you’re in the area I would recommend you try only the sweet crepe.

Ambrosia Cafe – Menu with Prices – 2040 Main St Suite 125, Irvine

Food quality and taste is average. The pros of going to this place for lunch is the salad bar. You can fill up an empty take out box to your heart’s desire of kale, mixed greens, teriyaki tofu, boiled eggs, potato salad, croutons, and my favorite- grape leaves. The salad container is weighed at the register and always ends up being much cheaper than Specialty’s. I’ve tried other items on their menu, like the ramen and it wasn’t that great. (If you want really good ramen nearby, HiroNori is about 3 blocks away is the best!) On my latest visit, I ordered the jalapeño avocado cheeseburger; the best part is the fresh jalapeños, they’re not pickled! Ambrosia also offers a loyalty punch card- after 10 punches, 1 entree is free. The minimum purchase for a punch card is $5.

Choco Fruit – Orange, CA – Menu with Prices – 1500 E Village Way #2229, Orange

My boyfriend and I ordered the chocolate covered pineapple skewer, a nutella crepe with strawberries and bananas and a Belgium chocolate crepe with strawberries and bananas. the pineapple skewer was the best part out of the 3 things… who doesn’t love chocolate covered fruit?! but I was disappointed with the crepes, and I am someone that LOVES crepes and loooves chocolate. the chocolate was not very tasty. For the nutella crepe, the fruit was on each side of the crepe rather than inside, and they were a little skimpy on the fruit. Overall, everything was okay but we would not order crepes from here again.
