My friend and I just got great coffee from here! The lady working was super sweet and was very helpful in helping us pick the right drink. The coffees were top notch, way better than Dutch Bros or Starbucks!! If I lived in the area, this would definitely be a regular spot for me! Thanks for being so sweet and helpful!

Humble Coffee – Menu with Prices – 2103 Templeton Gap Rd, Colorado Springs

I should start with saying I am NOT a coffee person .. not at all so it takes one hell of a good cup of coffee to impress me . I drive by here to take me young one to school so we stop in and I order my extra sweet soy Poker … and it’s BOMB . Always . It doesn’t matter who the barista is and that usually matters when you go to a coffee shop , but here they all are Skilled at making drinks . It always Tastes amazing . Another big thing is temperature , for one they NEVER scorch the milk and it’s never too hot to drink when they hand it to you . I despise being handed a drink that’s too hot to even drink because it’s the temperature of the surface of the sun . That’s never happens to me here . They’re very conscientious of this . I want to order the drink and be able to drink it immediately and I can do that when I order a hot drink from Humble . I have ordered drinks at other coffee shops that have been too hot to enjoy for over 15 minutes after I ordered it !!! Wtf ! And then when I did take I sip it was nasty . Pricing is amazing and you don’t feel ripped off here . It’s fair for once . Not a ten dollar cup of coffee. Another thing is the friendliness of the baristas . Dutch bros is known for their happy bubbly employees BUT humble isn’t getting enough credit for their friendly happy faces . Always pleasant and polite . They treat you kindly and even when super busy and never short or rude and they don’t rush you off . They go out of their way to make sure you have a good drink and a good experience . They have made me a “poker ” addict ! Thanks y’all ! Starbucks , Dutch bros , Dunkin and the other randoms don’t hold and espresso bean to you all !

Bottoms Up Espresso – Menu with Prices – 80 W Warner Rd, Chandler

I drive by this place all the time and decided to try it out today. I went through the drive thru this morning around 6:45am with no one in front of me or behind me. After looking at the menu for a minute and not getting a response at the order board I pulled up to the window. A barista made my drink (a Little Irish Girl- this is the name of the drink, not a description of the barista) and I went to work. Honestly, had I not known this drink contains espresso, I would not have guessed it at all. The drink was very pale looking and tasted sweet and nothing like coffee. I had to add black coffee to it just to balance the taste out. I don’t know if it’s just bad location, competition around (2 Dunkin Donuts, 2 QTs, 2 Circle Ks, Starbucks, SoZo, Ziggi’s, Bikini Beans, Dutch Bros- all within a 5 mile radius) or price, but I get the feeling this business isn’t going to last. For the price/quality, there are other coffee houses nearby that are better. I really wanted to like this coffee shop because of how conveniently located it is, but I probably won’t be returning here again.

Dutch Bros. Coffee – Menu with Prices – 10105 E Old Vail Rd, Tucson

We came by on Mother’s Day and the drive-thru line was SO long. Probably 20 cars. The staff were outside taking orders so it actually went pretty fast. There was a walk-up window too, which wasn’t busy. I got online to look at their choices. Their menu is huge! I was looking for a sugar free flavored coffee but I couldn’t find where the choices were for that in time. I asked when we got up to the person and she was very knowledgeable and rattled off a bunch of options. I ordered the White Zombie, sugar free, and everyone else got unsweetened citrus green tea. The tea was amazing, very refreshing. My coffee was seriously the best flavored coffee I’ve ever had. I even went back the next day to get another ? Compared to my usual drinks from the green mermaid competitor (skinny vanilla latte, sf cinnamon dolce etc) Dutch Bros is MILES above. I don’t care much for DD coffee bc it’s too acidic for me. I don’t think Dutch Bros should even worry about being so close to DD- they don’t even compare. My advice if you haven’t been here yet is to look at their online menu before you go to have an idea. All of the staff we spoke to were very helpful and gave excellent advice. So if you’re not sure, ASK! I’m so glad we have this great coffee and tea (and other) drive thru on our side of town.

White Dog Coffee – Menu with Prices – 2909 E 57th Ave, Spokane

The coffee was so hot and burned me. When I called to alert them, the manager blew it off and rudely replied, “If you drive back I can remake a drink that’s cooler” with a sarcastic laugh. That’s so condescending, obviously a drink will cool down with time. The point is I was burned by the coffee and wanted to make sure other customers don’t get burned. Tara the manager was oblivious to customer safety and customer service by dismissing my concern so rudely. I’ve never had this problem at Jitters (now White Dog), Starbucks Or Dutch Bros. On the outside of the window it says ‘you have a choice, thanks for choosing local’. Well I’m choosing to never go back even though it is the closest to my work. I highly suggest you get your drink elsewhere too.

First Cup Ethiopian Restaurant and cafe – Menu with Prices – 4432 N 19th Ave, Phoenix

I LOVE this place! I accidentally found this place and love it. I asked and the owner spent quite a few minutes explaining the cuisine and coffee and I needed a coffee and now I have a place ON THE WAY TO WORK where I can get a fantastic cup of coffee for just a few dollars. Yeah, I know I can save some $$’s by making it at home but … SHUT UP! Life is for the living and after this great cup of strong and delicious coffee (BTW, If you normally like cream & sugar, taste it without first, you will NOT need those silly distractions.) THIS is what coffee should taste like … strong and sweet (w/o sugar) and strong and bitter and strong and strong. We had a taste of the bread and I love the authentic sour dough brightness and hope to experience the whole meal soon. (Had to go as we just got papusas next door) But, it’s strong coffee and it’s on the way to work and it’s so much better than the chains … and yeah, I’m including Dutch bros AND Dunkin in that. (not going to bring up the national chain that screwed me out of my gift card dollars!) but it rhymes with starbucks and they pissed me off. I hope you open early and I’ll need more soon.

Black Rock Coffee Bar – Menu with Prices – 6805 W Bell Rd, Glendale

Today while out and about with a friend while our boys were at a Summer Day Camp we decided to head down into Glendale to try Black Rock Coffee Bar. It’s set up like most of the newer coffee spots are like Dutch Bros, Scooters etc. The parking lot is large and quite a bit of shaded seating outside if you want to hang out, but no inside seating. They have a walk up window as well as two drive through lanes. Their menu is pretty large. I’m usually a cold brew drinker and while they had that I opted for a Caramel Blondie Iced Coffee. If you aren’t into either they also have smoothies, energy drinks, Italian sodas. Service was awesome and everyone was so nice. That alone makes me want to come more to offer support. They don’t do punch cards to save on wasting paper, but if you give them your number you earn points. First time use got me a $1 for my next visit. The coffee was so good. I’d definitely come back if on this side of town. Prices are a bit higher than I’d like, but they also serve up to an x-large drink where most don’t.

Scooter’s Coffee – Menu with Prices – 420 W 33rd St, Sioux Falls

You have not lived until you have had iced coffee from Scooters. They are a serious player in the cold espresso game. Their iced espresso drinks are so smooth and balanced, Starbucks just cannot compare. They make all their drinks from fresh espresso, which really makes a huge difference. I have had their hot beverages and they are good competitors, but nothing amazingly spectacular. The Iced Turtle Latte is my favorite cold coffee drink in a chain by a landslide. It isn’t organic and the highest quality beans in the world but it tastes balanced and is great for a sweet coffee drink. They have a few pastry options- muffins, etc. Their cinnamon chip scone is lovely, albeit extremely sweet. The savory options are less- toasted bagel, egg burrito, egg bagel. They are always fast, friendly, and helpful. Download the app and you can earn rewards. They also have coupons and deals in the app, which is cool. They do a lot of BOGOs. I will admit that I love the drive-thru concept for coffee, especially when the drive-thru actually saves you time.

Revolution Roasters – Menu with Prices – 1836 S Coast Hwy, Oceanside

In a town full of coffee shops and Starbucks on every corner it can be hard to pick a coffee shop, for some maybe that spot is Revolution Roasters. Revolution Roasters had amazing coffee! I’m a purist and take my coffee black and the coffee here had an excellent taste, nothing wrong on that end. Some things can be a little pricier here but for coffee purists, it’s pretty standard priced. I also have found depending on what you’re trying to get done can be heavily affected based on the day and time and even who is working. I have been here where it was nice and mellow enough to get some work done, but I have also been here when the music was so loud that it would drown out my headphones when I put them on. So timing and staff can have a huge effect. Surprisingly for being on the 101, parking is not bad! Since it is located near some neighborhood streets you can easily park right behind the 101 and a quick minute walk and you’ll be here! Overall nice place with good coffee, and since coming back more I’ve found the prices to be better than I once thought. However, it is hard to come back on a regular basis to get work done as spots to sit are always inconsistent. Definitely a better social coffee spot.

Firehouse Coffee – Menu with Prices – 2185 Cubit St, Eugene

I will start this off by stating that I have been a barista for 3 years so I can get picky about my coffee, but I’m genuinely disappointed in the service I received today. I get it, making q complicated drink can be annoying, especially when it’s blended, but the barista who served me was rude and rolled her eyes at my requests. I asked for a medium blended snickers with almond milk, and a mix of bold and smooth espresso. She charged me 50 cents more for asking for mixed shots, which is absolutely ridiculous. If someone were to come through my coffee shop and ask for half-calf (half decaf half full calf espresso shots) I’m certainly not going to make them pay extra unless they ask for an extra shot. I know that perhaps this isn’t the barista’s fault, but no where on the menu was I informed that I’d be charged more for asking for mixed shots. I feel as if she did it because she could. I also requested almond milk, because I am severely lactose intolerant. I took 3 sips before I was in agonizing pain for the better part of my 2 hour commute to Portland. My drink definitely contained dairy, which I understand as a barista is sometimes an honest accident and it can get mixed in somehow, but after how rude the barista was to me, I don’t feel like making a real excuse for her. I definitely will not return if I see her working. The other ladies have been incredibly kind, and always make my drink correctly, but this experience has turned me sour. The price for a medium blended snickers with almond milk and mixed shots was $6.50, which is nearly a large blended drink at Dutch Bros and is MORE than a venti frappe at Starbucks. I no longer recommend this shop.

The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf – Menu with Prices – 3350 La Sierra Ave, Riverside

This isn’t the first coffee bean place I have been to but it’s prob the last. I have been to another location and I think their drinks are just Horrible! To say the least. When I got here, there is basically nobody there. Lights are off but it doesn’t show they’re closed on yelp and there is no sign saying they’re closed! So anyways, the self check out counters are right across from the coffee shop since this is inside Ralph’s! I asked one of the employees and he pages someone and they came, I asked the lady or she worked there. She said yea I use to!! So there is nobody that is working there for some reason and I guess part of it I understand Bc their coffee sucks! I wanted to get a latte with whites chocolate mocha!! I figured they’re like Starbucks, pumps of white chocolate mocha.well maybe not. By the time I went to get yogurt and came back for my drink. The lady was gone and she made me a drink that has dark chocolate!! My drink was just left there! I think it was clear that it should have been white chocolate mocha since we had a discussion about it. Never again!

The Human Bean – Menu with Prices – 1822 S College Ave, Fort Collins

A bartender at Black and Bottle brewery told us about this coffee spot, he said we had to try it before leaving Ft Collins. We are so glad we got our morning coffee there on our way out of town. It’s a tiny place with a wall up window to order from and 2 tables outside if you prefer to enjoy your coffee there, so there’s no inside. Otherwise it’s drive thru with a really long line of cars. I don’t have patienve for lines so we just parked and order our coffee from the walk up window. They have the classics and other signature drinks that are very unique so needless to say the options are overwhelming for a first timer. Amy was our barista, and I asked her for a suggestion of what I should try. She was so friendly and helpful, and I loved my drink. I don’t know the name, but it was a hot coffee drink with white chocolate but not overly sweet, super yummy. My bf had a latte, he’s more of a classic guy. Great coffee, great options, great service! Will definitely return to this place every time I’m in Ft Collins. Another example of the great service, Amy gave us a voucher for a free drink for our next visit since it was our first time there. How sweet! They also offer a chocolate covered coffee bean with each drink.

Second Wind Espresso – Menu with Prices – 726 W Garland Ave, Spokane

I live just a few blocks away but will go out of my way to another stand because this place has AWFUL service. The women working are all super nice and helpful, except the owner, who works in the mornings. She has a horrible attitude, like she has better things to do than make your coffee, or she can’t get you out of the line fast enough. I’m not alone, I know many of the business owners in the Garland area because I’ve lived here quite some time, and they all say they’ll avoid the place if they know she’s working. Coming from someone who has worked and managed coffee stands/cafes for almost 10 years now, the customer is key, and there’s a million other stands to go to who appreciate your business. I’ve given this place one to many chances, mostly because of convenience, but I now realize I’ll take my money somewhere else when I get coffee every morning.
