The Glen Arden Club is the greatest secret in town. It’s almost impossible to explain just how cool this venue is. The ambiance gives you that Retro, Old Hollywood feel and the food and drinks are fantastic. We have had numerous events there, most recently a wedding and pre-album release party and both events went off without a hiccup. The staff there really knows what they are doing. Selfishly, I would like to keep the place to myself…but I know it’s only a matter of time before they are truly going to be the talk of the town. I highly recommend this venue for any type of event you may want to have, ranging from a small gathering all the way up to a wedding or even a concert!!!! A must try location!!!

El Mega Sol Menu with Prices 400 Valley Ave, Birmingham

I booked this venue for my wedding in October of 2017. All my expectations were met and were even surpassed. Lorena was amazing in making sure we had everything we needed for our big day. She even went as far as assisting the day of the wedding with operations. The booking price was reasonable and much lower than other venues. I would HIGHLY recommend this venue and would definitely consider this locations again for any future events.

Riverbend Music Center – Menu with Prices – 6295 Kellogg Ave, Cincinnati

Great venue for a summer concert. TRAFFIC ADVICE: Avoid the pre-concert crush by Taking I – 275 from the North into the venue. Use exit 71 not exit 72 and follow the signs to Riverbend. If you do use exit 72 on the Kellogg Avenue remember all lanes lead to Riverbend parking. If you’re coming from Anderson township, Indian Hill or Newtown simply take Sutton through Mount Washington and into the main gate of Coney island. As with any venue try arriving a little early to avoid the major crush. If you took Uber, Lyft or a cab to the concert remember that parking and pick up is across the street in lot number 10. When you leave to get your Uber at the end of the night walk out the main entrance of gate number 2. Thinking about parking at a pay lot outside the venue, don’t waste you money. Concert parking is free for everyone with a ticket. The old days of 3 hour exits are long gone and most traffic is completely out 45 minutes after the end of the concert. If you have VIP tickets remember to use gate number 5. All Riverbend concerts use gates 1, 2, for, 8 and 9. PNC concerts use gates 2 and 4. Finally when you exit the concert remember no matter what direction or road you end up on, there is signage to get you back to 275.

The Listening Room – Menu with Prices – 78 St Francis St, Mobile

This is a VERY COOL venue! I have been to concerts, symphonies and small venue presentations all over the USA, but I have never been a venue like this. The Listening Room is truly for LISTENING. For a small donation of $20 you are allowed to listen to artists perform in a intimate venue. Prior to the concert, the owner Jim Pennington, informs you of the rules. To paraphrase Jim, “If you want to talk, drink and be rude, go down the street to a bar.” I ADORE this concept of “no talking” while someone is performing. How often have you been to a venue where you couldn’t hear the performer due to all the background noise? NOT happening here! Jim is the consummate host, selling assorted beverages and CD’s of the performer with proceeds going to the artist. I highly recommend this venue to anyone in the Mobile or surrounding area. I do not live locally, only visiting once a year, but TLR has become a “must do” for our trips to Alabama.

The Music Box Village – Menu with Prices – 4557 N Rampart St, New Orleans

Oh man! Thank you to Music Box for letting Austin and I use your space for our wedding. This venue is magical! Our guests had the time of their lives playing music on the structures. It is also just a beautiful space in itself. Austin and I wanted a venue that was not your typical wedding venue and we got it. Thank you to Alita who got this plan going. Alita met with us on multiple occasions to go over what the venue offers and she set me up with the amazing staff to continue coordinating the wedding. Syd, you are above and beyond! Syd came in close to the end of planning but made it seem as if she was there the whole time. She was ultra supportive and really listened to Austin and my vision. She took time to set up a run of show plan and when it all went down, it was PERFECT! Syd is truly a genius at her job and could not have asked for a better coordinator. Thank you to all of the staff that went in to making the wedding happen. So grateful for everyone involved. If you are looking for a wedding venue, Music Box is the place to go. You and your guests will not be disappointed. Most fun we have ever had! We will definitely be back for a show!

El Riad Shrine – Menu with Prices – 510 S Phillips Ave, Sioux Falls

My now husband and I just used the El Riad Shrine as our wedding reception venue and we absolutely loved it and would recommend it to anyone! Joel is such a great person to work with during the planning process. He is very quick at responding to any questions and was always willing to work with my work hours if I wanted to go in for a visit or to see someone else’s wedding setup. They are such a flexible venue and able to accommodate large crowds with the spacious layout but definitely be sure to book early! We booked over a year ahead of time and got the only weekend they had available left in September. They have décor you can use if you’d like, they provide the linens for you, they provide a wedding coordinator to help manage delivery and setup with your vendors, they provide a bartending staff, you can bring in whichever caterer you would like for food.. I could go on and on. There are so many great things about using The Shrine as your wedding venue. You could even use the stage and get married there as well and they have a great dance floor! They really were an all-around great group of people to work with. We had the Clown group bartend at our wedding and they were an absolute blast! They were willing to do whatever to make sure we were happy with our experience there and we most definitely were! I would 100% recommend them to anyone for their wedding and am so thankful we chose them for ours

Knuckleheads Saloon – Menu with Prices – 2715 Rochester Ave, Kansas City

My first visit to this concert venue was excellent! I noticed two buildings at the Knuckleheads complex. Knuckleheads Saloon was an uncovered venue, and Knuckleheads Garage was a covered venue, with a group of garage doors along the west wall, and an extremely large ceiling fan. The tribute bands concert I attended ($15 including taxes and fees for Elton Dan and Almost Kiss) was at Knuckleheads Garage. It had a mix of seating including picnic tables, tables, and benches (on the west side). The cash-only bar area in the rear was nicely separated from the stage by a wall to reduce sound levels, and had a lounge area with a big screen TV showing the concert. Drink prices were fairly reasonable for a concert venue ($3.50 tall cans of beer and $6.00 wells), while the service at the bar was friendly and cheerful. Plenty of parking was available. Excellent, especially for the price!

Let’s Celebrate Catering And Events – Menu with Prices – 30274702, Chandler

Let’s Celebrate catered my daughter’s wedding of 100 people in December of 2017 and I could not have been more impressed and pleased with the food and service. We had the Chicken Marsala and Kaluaha Pork and they were just amazing. I had people coming up to me at the venue, and afterwards tell me that it was the best food they had ever had at a wedding and 2 people told me that it was the best chicken marsala they had ever had period. The hors d’Å?uvre were beautiful, sophisticated and so delicious! The service staff, presentation… everything was perfect! I would highly recommend them without reservation and they will be my only choice for future events.

Country Catering & Special – Menu with Prices – 2361 Waterloo Rd, Stockton

With such great reviews and reasonable pricing on their food and services I was referred to country catering to cater my wedding. Due to my wedding being so far away we couldn’t use them! I must say even though country catering isn’t catering my wedding, Elizabeth has been so sweet and went above and beyond to help refer me to other caterers closer to my venue. I mean who does that!!??!! If I ever have an event closer to town I am using country catering. I highly recommend!!

The Athenaeum – Menu with Prices – 551 S Hill Ave, Pasadena

I live in Manhattan where there are a lot of private clubs, both affiliated with schools and not affiliated with schools, mansions and just a plethora of venues. The Athenaeum is not quite up to the level of what you would find on the East Coast but is as close as good as you are going to get for the West Coast. I came here for a wedding and this venue is optimal for a classy and intimate beautiful wedding with a guest size of around 150 guests. Any more and you should find another venue that is larger and can accommodate more guests. Pros of this venue are the great backdrop for taking pictures, a beautiful venue to entertain your guests, the exclusivity of having to bring a member to do a wedding here, the venue only doing one wedding a day here, being able to do the wedding rehearsal and lunch on-site the day before the wedding (they have both a lunch buffet and menu option), and my personal surprisingly favorite part, the amazing mezzanine for the bridal party and mother of the bride and groom. You can retreat to the mezzanine to get dressed which is better than any hotel room as their are multiple mirrors, toilets and lots of couches which make it possible for a large group of women to all get ready at the same time if they want. The mezzanine was also great to retreat to between activities and even has a dining table area where the bridal party can eat before the wedding or during the cocktail hour. Cons of this venue was the rather mediocre service from the staff during the wedding. I asked for a champagne glass for the toast and they acted like they would oblige but they never brought. I ordered coffee and it never came and I couldn’t enjoy it with the cake. They were rather stingy with the wine for dinner and only came around once. It was open bar but with the bar being set up in another room so far away from the reception area it actually makes it difficult and discourages guests from ordering drinks. The venue did not seem to be holding up their end of the bargain in terms on delivering on the experience the bride and groom had paid for their guests. You also absolutely need a wedding planner and your own staff of wedding coordinators if you do your wedding here. The staff here are quite hands off and this is really more a private faculty club. The dance floor is also too small if you want a lot of dancing at your wedding. Overall though I enjoyed the wedding I attended here and think it is still a great choice for couples who can afford this venue and are members and can have their weddings here.

D&D FIESTAS – Menu with Prices – 500 N Main St, Greenville

We had our wedding at D&d back in January during the ice storm. I was very impressed with the decorations and surprised at some of the extra details that were thrown in for free just to make the place pop a little more. The staff was amazingly helpful despite the terrible weather. We presented the staff with an idea to close off the dance floor for the ceremony and despite them never having done it before they did it and even stuck around to help us switch the venue back to the reception. The price was super affordable and the staff was pleasant and well prepared. I would recommend these guys to anyone. My pictures of this venue are incredible.

The Elks Tower Casino & Event Center – Menu with Prices – 921 11th St #401, Sacramento

I would advise you never to use the Elks Tower Ballroom for your Wedding! We thought the price they quoted to us was in our budget so we went forward and gave a deposit to Amanda in June 2015! We were not notified till the end of November that we needed to come up with the rest of the cost to rent this venue! At this time we find out that Amanda was no longer there and a person called Heidi had taken over! Well when we went to pay the balance of the venue the price had changed significantly! They would not Oner the contract we had with Amanda! Everyday it was a struggle to get an accurate price! Things kept changing! By this time we were three weeks from having this Wedding! Heidi said if I did not sign the contract agreeing to pay what she wanted to charge us that day that she was going to give the venue to someone else who was interested! Well what could we do? The Wedding invitations were out and we were days from the wedding! There were going to be 300 people at this wedding! After the wedding we spent hours making sure that this venue was cleaner than when we received it because it was the right thing to do and Grandmas deposit was at risk! By the way we had no alcohol at this wedding! The deposit is strictly used to make sure that there would be no damage to the venue! They had an additional charge a cleaning fee as well!! Well you probably could guess, they wouldn’t give us back our deposit! Even though they made us pay extra to have one of there staff members on sight because we weren’t going to use there people to bartend because there was no liquor! They are trying to keep the deposit saying we broke some of there rules! Wouldn’t you think the person that was from there staff that they made us hire would have said something to us if we were breaking rules! It’s a scam to keep your deposit!! We have asked on many occasions to give us a list of the damages we did! They can’t! And that is what the deposit is for and it states it very clearly in the contract! Well thank God we took many pictures of the venue showing the venue before the wedding and the after! These pictures are time and date stamped! We are ready to take them on! They better give back our large deposit! We are not going away!!! By the way the price of the venue ended up being way more than what contract we had with Amanda! This is response to Michael G. owner of Elks Tower Ballroom I think because of the staffing changes to this venue there has been many, things that were not consistent to what we understood to be. The biggest issue with us is the changes of prices and not honoring the contract we had with Amanda whom is no longer working with them. And of course the holding of all the $1,000.00 deposit we gave. We left this venue in prestige condition! And as far as my Granddaughter possibly becoming Ms. Hawaii, at what time did we have this conversation with you? Never!! When I decided to give the deposit my granddaughter had already decided not to run for ms.Hawaii You know nothing of this conversation! after all it was my deposit to decide how i wanted it used not yours! What would make you think that i might not want to rent this venue when you had $1,000.00 deposit from me? I was told by Amanda per her contract that i had till December 17,2015 to pay balance! although i was not going to wait that long! At the time i was getting ready to pay the balance in November 2015 is when i found out that Amanda was no longer there and my balance that i budgeted for was going to be much more! AS soon as Heidi took Amanda’s Job over she should have taken all of Amanda’s customer files and got in contact with these customers right away! Heidi had our contract from June 2015 till November 2015. More than enough time to reach out to us to tell us there were changes! With a 350 people wedding what would make you think we could do the decorating of this venue the day of the wedding? Amanda again said we could have the key to decorate the day before! Our wedding planer had done many events ther

Olympic Hall Community Centre – Menu with Prices – 2304 Hunter St, Halifax

When I bought my ticket for the Girl Talk concert in October and read that St. Antonio’s Olympic Centre was going to be the venue, I have to admit that I had no idea where that was. My first impression was that this was a dingy place, not much to look at from the outside, and I almost missed it on my way there. The inside was better, with a large stage on one sit of an open hall. Make sure you bring plenty of cash to concerts here. ATM lines can get pretty long, because of the large capacity of this venue. For the same reason the girls bathroom can get pretty cramped, if you are planning on drinking plan to spend some time in lines. The bar at Girl Talk was set up with tickets sold in one place and beer and coolers only handed out at a separate counter. Make sure you aren’t waiting in the wrong line. Other than that, St. Antonio’s didn’t disappoint as a venue. It has a wide open feel on the lower floor, and with the balcony overlook it still feels like a smaller venue than it is. Hot Hint: No coat check! Dress accordingly, or wear something you wont mind losing when you stash it.
