My friends and I had a great time celebrating a birthday here at Gen. Like any other Gen, it’s an AYCE KBBQ (all-you-can-eat Korean barbeque), with lots of delicious side dishes (including Japche!!). Our favorite types of meats to order are the Red Wine Pork Belly, Pork Jowl, and Beef Tongue (don’t knock it until you try it!). I’ve been to many Gens, but just wanted to give a shout-out to our waiter, Brad, who was so friendly and very efficient! It was a crazy busy Saturday night. He served our table of 10 with so much joy and with a genuine smile, which also added to our wonderful experience at Gen. He even took a few extra minutes to engage in some small talk with our group and made us feel so welcomed and comfortable here. He was constantly rounding our table to make sure our water cups were filled and had plenty of food on the table! I also appreciated that he took our safety into consideration when changing out the grill or lighting it up. Instead of awkwardly trying to squeeze between the chairs, he respected our personal space and kindly ask us to scootch out a little bit, and explained it was for our safety. Thanks again so much, Brad!

Noodles & Dumplings – Menu with Prices – 6303 N Mesa St, El Paso

After being in El Paso for over 5 years, I finally have a go-to place for noodles, dumplings, and really some other staple Chinese dishes. This is the first place in EP with soup dumplings and hand-pulled noodles. I would re-order almost every single dish I’ve ever tried here. If I could give them a 4.5 star, I would. Soup dumplings – The dough is made well, not too thick, not too thin. However, I consistently feel like there can be a bit more soup on the inside especially because they come out to the table already sunken in, and the juices are being absorbed by the dough already. So it doesn’t leave very much for the person eating. The time between kitchen and table does affect this aspect of it. Flavor is good. Most people don’t know how to mix the vinegar sauce so providing us with more than the ginger would be nice. Props to giving us the ginger though! And taste is definitely delicious!!! Noodles – I’ve tried almost every single noodle soup dish of theirs already and my favorite is the spicy beef one. It’s packed with flavor without being super over powerful. At the same time, you can definitely tell the noodles are hand-pulled fresh. They’re uneven and have a texture to them that cannot be imitated if they had been frozen or bought elsewhere. Pork belly dish – Served with buns. I’ve had this dish a couple of times and love the flavor. However, the buns tend to be overheated or oversteamed because by the end of the meal, I find myself biting into hard buns instead of something soft. The flavor is wonderful but it doesn’t have layers. This dish would be heightened if a veggie was added to it: pickled or steamed. Just a pinch of anything to add to the bun with the pork would make that much of a difference. So keep that in mind and maybe order something more to mix-and-match your dishes. Environment – Constantly filled with people so not great for large groups over 4. Simple. Clean. Cute. Menu – I’m not sure how I feel about their menu since it’s constantly different everyday. I understand that it ensures freshness because if they aren’t able to procure the products, then they won’t push it and put it on their menu. So I do appreciate that. I just have cravings!

Portello Wine Cafe Menu with Prices 2754 NW Crossing Dr # 104, Bend

Visiting from out of state, and was looking for a place to have a nice glass of wine and I found this wonderful place. Walked into the restaurant and was immediately greeted by wonderful and welcoming staff. I sat outside and Erin my server came and greeted me with a warm smile. I ordered a Red Blend and she described the taste to a tee. I ordered their Antipasti plate and it did not disappoint. For dessert I ordered their Chocolate Soufflé and it was to die for. Even though they closed at 9:00, they welcomed late customers with a smile and never let them feel rushed. Overall, this will be my place to come to when visiting Bend. Fantastic Service, Food and Wine. Thank you Erin for making my first time at Portello an amazing one.

King of Ramen Pasadena – Menu with Prices – 2391 E Colorado Blvd, Pasadena

Interesting place that uses a lot of throw away containers. The water cups were cheap plastic cups, not a huge deal, but sort of wasteful. That and I watched 2 people spill their water in the short time I ate here. Since there’s not a lot of weight to hold the cups down, you have to be careful. The “sauce” bar is a small area with some pickled daikon, house made chili sauce, shoyou, and chili flake. Which uses little plastic cups to take back to your table. The food. Karaage chicken curry with the curry on the side. It’s basically S&B curry but runnier (or thinner) and less goodies in then one would probably make for themselves. Not bad. The chicken was not marinated or not marinated long enough so it was rather bland for karaage. But it’s fried chicken, so ok there. Gyoza. Frozen and thawed and lighted seared and brought out in a paper to go type dish with wax paper. It’s like they gave up trying with this. Not the worst I ever had, but why pay so much for 4 dinky pieces that I could buy a whole bag for. Unimpressed, but at least edible unlike some places I’ve been. Spicy ramen. Decent enough. I would try the regular tonkatsu if I come back. Pork is good and the extra add on’s were nice. The eggs were marinated, but not for very long. So that was a little disappointing. But the broth and everything was good. It’s a decent place for an ok price, but I feel like they could deliver so much more and better flavors with just a little more effort.

Community Table Kitchen – Menu with Prices – 5345 Arapahoe Ave Unit 5, Boulder

I visited Community Table Kitchen for the second time today. It’s staffed by Bridge House trainees who are learning culinary skills in preparation for transitioning into mainstream kitchen positions. So, in addition to getting a delicious breakfast or lunch you can feel good about helping folks move forward in their lives. The Community Table dining area has a very comfortable feel to it. It’s spacious, well lit, and the walls are tiled with gleaming white tiles. Dominating the space is a very large table that can seat at least twenty, hence the name. Sitting at a table with others gives you the opportunity to meet and talk with other diners, including workers who eat their lunch just before closing at 1:00. On both my visits I had great conversations with Amy, Debbie, and others. Everyone working there is friendly and fun to talk with. The food is beyond wonderful. I’ve had a couple of different curries and the spring roll appetizer. Everything was spiced perfectly, and delicious. The portions are more than enough to fill almost any stomach. And get this – the prices are unbelievably cheap! Breakfast is $6, and lunch $8.00! The Community Table staff cooks and delivers food to a number of restaurants and grocery stores in town. The restaurant doesn’t seem to have been discovered yet, based on the handful of customers on my two visits. This is a restaurant that everyone should learn about. It is truly fantastic!

Timber Lounge – Menu with Prices – 2712 Agricola St, Halifax

I went today (for my birthday) for my first time axe throwing! Would highly recommend! I’m big on efficiency, and the woman out front was very nice and to the point (which I love.) The coaches were very well versed, easy going and all about safety. Our coach, Chris, was simply wonderful. He was funny, helpful, friendly and just all around amazing – he made the whole experience even better. I don’t write reviews often – only when I feel as though credit is definitely due. If your on the fence about going here, don’t be, the staff are friendly and the whole experience is breezy and light!

Honeybee Sweetery Bakery & Cafeteria – Menu with Prices – 8501, 3007 W Commercial Blvd unit 101, Fort Lauderdale

Honeybee Sweetery exceeded my expectations. By far one of the cutest cafes I have ever been to. The atmosphere makes you feel as though you are in another country. I come here during my break to relax and I feel very calm when I am there. I always have a pressed sandwich along with a tasty cappuccino. Everything I have tried is delicious and made with love. The owner is very sweet and genuine. She exceeds when it comes to customer service. She makes you feel welcomed and valued as a customer. There just aren’t wholesome places like this anymore. Support the locals.. You won’t be disappointed!

Catoosa Deli – Menu with Prices – 1528 N 166th E Ave #A, Tulsa

Stuck in a rut? Feel like you need to be pampered and acknowledged? Come out to Catoosa Deli and I guarantee you’ll leave with a smile! Great selection of food both classic and Mediterranean style. But, that’s not what sets this place apart. The workers actually enjoy what they do and took the time to make me feel welcome! They were kind, respectful, and genuine! Highly recommended this little gem to anyone looking for a yummy bite to eat for lunch!

White Rabbit Pub – Menu with Prices – 3030 Fort Bragg Rd, Fayetteville

This is my happy place. It doesn’t matter how I feel when I walk in the door, I always leave with a smile. The first time I came in here on a whim because I heard it was under new ownership. I walked in & was immediately welcomed even though I didn’t really know anyone. I always leave this place with a smile. The staff is amazing. Kari & Amber have done wonderful things here including bridging the age gap between young & old. They’ve given the place a fresh new look. There is something for everyone here. Karaoke & Open Jams 2 nights a week, Live Music, Darts, Pool, Dancing, great drink specials & Blasian Asian Grill food truck is often out there serving up some amazing food. So come on, grab a couple friends or venture out alone and join us for some unforgettable nights!

El Delirio Cocina Mexicana Y Taqueria – Menu with Prices – 1225 North Expressway #4a, Brownsville

The food was wonderful and was enjoying everything till one of the waitress/waiter goes up to us to tell us that our server was talking to everyone saying that we don’t tip when we had only been there 3 times and all 3times I had left over a 5.00 tip cash .. they went up to our table saying our server didn’t want to get near our table or talk to us … Ruined our food made me want to talk to yell at him and my husband was ready to punch him but we paid our ticket and left. So mad ð?? ð?? ð?? ð?? ð?? ð??¡ð??¡ð??¡ð??¡ð??¡ð??¤ð??¤ð??¤ð??¤ð??¤ð??¤ð??¤ I loved the food but I don’t think I will be going back anytime soon and it’s a shame because the food is really good but that experience was just the worst I have ever had

Supply & Demand – Menu with Prices – 2500 E Anaheim St, Long Beach

Very fun bar. A chill space to hangout with my friends and have a good time. Bartenders mixup drinks quickly and put them in beautiful glasses. It’s a mix between a dive bar and a cocktail bar, which I like so I can wear tank and jeans or a cute little dress and either way still feel comfortable. Can’t wait to come back! Tip: Take an uber (for safety and lack of close parking).

Jamba Modesto II – Menu with Prices – 1021 10th St Ste. B, Modesto

Sometimes I wish they were more consistent in filling cups to the top. If I’m going pay so much ($8) for a fresh juice cup, it would be great if they filled up the cup as much as possible instead of leaving it partly filled. It is pricey, but I still go there to get in my fruits and vegetables especially when I haven’t been eating much of those within that week. When I feel like I’m getting sick or something, the citrus kick is great for boosting my immune system. Next time I will remind them to fill the cup to the top.

Missing Falls Brewery Menu with Prices 540 S Main St suite 112, Akron

Weâ??ve been to quite a few breweries around the country and we think that we just found our favorite selection of beers! We enjoyed two flights and bought a glass to always remember this place by. The owner took the time to shake the hand of a veteran who sat next to us. You can truly feel that this place is his baby. It shows in the quality of beer and friendly knowledgeable staff. Ethan the bartender was great. Heâ??s the epitome of someone that you want talking to and taking care of your customers. Genuine and personable. Canâ??t wait to come back! Thanks for making us feel so welcomed!
