Fort Worth’s hidden gem! Great atmosphere, and the new Chef is outstanding! Very good wait staff, and a very knowledgeable, and friendly bar tender. They have an awesome Summer Camp for kids ages 5 to 18 years old. My son learned how to sail a small boat all by himself! During Summer Camp (which is open to the public) they have kayaks, go tubing, and fishing, swimming in the pool that over looks the lake with probably the best view on the lake. Brant the general manager is always making sure the club is top notch, and the members are well taken care of. Call him for a tour. If you want to try sailing out get in touch with me. I love introducing people to the sport!

Mcc Pool House Bar & Grill – Menu with Prices – Country Club Ln, McAllen

Growing up at the McAllen Country Club was a kid’s dream. A huge pool with diving board, tennis courts, summer camp, a gorgeous golf course & great exercise room. I spent many summers at the kid’s camp, swimming and playing tennis with friends and as I got older, I just went to lay by the pool with some nachos and a margarita. The workout room and locker rooms are small but perfect for the size of the club. The machines are updated and there are always some open no matter what time you go in to work on your fitness. All of my family’s special events were hosted at the MCC from bat mitzvahs to graduation brunches. The service is beyond great but the food can be very hit or miss. The variety of choices at Sunday brunch are plentiful but when you go in and order off the menu, the food doesn’t always seem the freshest and the flavor profiles of many menu items are lackluster. Great place to grow up, swim, workout, play golf and hangout with fiends or family but don’t go in there expecting 5 star food although the Friday lunch buffet is pretty great.

Hotel Captain Cook Menu with Prices 939 W 5th Ave, Anchorage

The arrival and checkin – – – Once we navigated the one way streets and found the front interest everything was smooth sailing. The valet was professional and courteous (though they did not offer to help unload luggage). The front desk staff were amazingly friendly and very helpful. There was a huge event going on in the ballroom making it hard to navigate to our room so the front desk staff quickly and efficiently switched our rooms. THE ROOM – – – We received a corner room which was nice because it included two huge windows. There was plenty of open space and a ledge beneath each window. I was able to prop my feet up, enjoy a cup of coffee, and enjoy views of mountains and the inlet. The bed was very comfortable and I slept solid both nights. The coffee station provided decaf, regular, and teas. The coffee was quite tasty. I had never seen the brand before, but it was good. I appreciated the real mugs! The bathroom was tiny, but the only blemish in an otherwise wonderful room. The Amenities – – – The pool, spa and health centers were top notch. It’s a little confusing finding your way from Tower 2. You have to go down to the lobby, walk to the whales tale, take the stairs down and make an immediate left. But the facilities were great. Full gym, pool with lanes for lap swimming, and a hot tub. There were chairs for lounging and a gentleman to guide you through the whole facility. Four restaurants on site made dining easy.

Club Med Billiard Parlor – Menu with Prices – 101 S 38th St, Harrisburg

Club Med is the better of the two pool rooms found in Harrisburg. The other one being BCA Billiards. Club med offers an All Night Special for $10 for those die hard pool players. They also offer a selection of tables. They have several 9 foot tables, a couple of bar tables, a billiards table (no pockets) and a 12 foot snooker table. They do offer snacks and drinks. They do not sell beer but you can bring your own beer into the pool hall. A few of the 9 foot tables looked like they are well taken care of. those tables were in use when we arrived. We played on one of the corner tables. The simonis cloth was worn and the table had a slight roll on the bottom rail. On a Saturday night, there were 6 tables going making the room about 35% full. The location of this pool room makes it easier to find than BCA billiards. If I had a choice between the two rooms, I would play at Club Med over BCA.

Jester Club Menu with Prices 7809 Jester Blvd, Austin

Nice shady park and popular pool. The playground is good for very young up to elementary school age kids. There is an old school wood and tire fort, zip line, swings, and other toys. The pool is very nice with a kid pool, main pool, and swim lanes for lap swimming. There are changing rooms/restrooms. Residents only, requires keyed access as there is a membership fee since the HOA doesn’t cover it.

Remix Sportfishing – Menu with Prices – 2550 S Bayshore Drive Pier A – Slip 5, Miami

What a day on The Remix!!! I cannot say enough about this outfit. JC is an incredibly knowledgeable down to earth dude. His fiancé Sarah is a sweetheart and an avid professional angler as well. For our charter on Tuesday Nick Carullo joined us and was referred to as â??fishmanâ? by my buddies who couldnâ??t get past his passion and expertise in the fishing industry. 5 stars all around and canâ??t wait to book with them again. If you are looking for a top notch Miami fishing charter make sure you donâ??t pass them up! Photos courtesy of Nick Carullo and his sick eye for a great shot!

Claremont Club & Spa – A Fairmont Hotel Menu with Prices 41 Tunnel Rd, Berkeley

This review is for the spa, pool/club and the lobby lounge & bar. As I entered, I was welcomed “back” by the staff. Nice. We got the spa package which came with $40 pool/club credit. Service was difficult because it was crowded on this nice Sunday afternoon and the $40 went fast because a canned drink (all they had) were $14. Food itself was good enough but nothing to write home about. The spa was amazing from beginning to end. Effie greeted me by name from at all times. That’s pretty incredible service. Massage and facial were amazing. My skin is so soft! The spa validates your parking so it’s free instead of $30 for the day. We stopped at the lobby lounge and bar for a drink after the spa and the view and atmosphere were great. Surprisingly, an interesting fellow came out with a gong at 5:30 and said every day at 5:30 they “celebrate life,” popped open a champagne glass with a sword, and shared a glass of champagne with everyone at the place. That was a pleasant surprise! This place is really overpriced on everything but the service and venue is excellent.

Village Summit Dining Commons Menu with Prices 80 Carlton St, Athens

ECV will always have a special place in my heart for the smoothies alone. But the grill and sandwich line are where it’s really at. Just avoid the gym crowd (after 3pm until about 5) if you actually want to eat, and look out for summer camp kids

Yellow Derny Café – Menu with Prices – 433 St Mary’s Rd, Winnipeg

I think that the Yellow Derny Cafe is the best place to go to in winter and summer! There is a variety of different drinks and I LOVE the dessert and dainties on the weekends! I love to go there when I have the time because of the amazing, kind, social, employees. I have even talked to them about what I was doing in school, and what my favourite drinks are! I love the hot chocolates and mocha frappes! They are delicious! They view is amazing too! I look out the window and see Guay Park across the street. I also sometimes use my charging cords and do homework while I sit, eat, drink, look at the view and enjoy the best cafe I have ever been to!

Hilton Lake Las Vegas Resort & Spa – Menu with Prices – 1610 Lake Las Vegas Pkwy, Henderson

I am a Diamond Member at Hilton and I love Lake Las Vegas because it allows me to get a nice getaway from busy Vegas and it’s a lovely place to relax. The past 4 times I went, I stayed at a Westin property. I stayed at the Hilton twice now, and let’s say both times have been an extreme disappointment. **The Room** I booked the 1 Bedroom Suite with a Lake view on their farthest wing from the lobby. It is a VERY long walk but you are rewarded with a gorgeous view of the lake. Besides the view, there isn’t much else about this hotel. * While it is clean. The decor is something off of a 70’s motel, it’s extremely outdated and ugly. * The carpeting is old. * It lacks outlets. The one outlet station they had simply didn’t work. * A few light bulbs in the hotel room were out. * The TV (as shown in the picture) doesn’t even work, it has these white dots flickering so you can’t even watch a TV show on your suite. * You could hear EVERYTHING the people in the room next door was saying, it was incredibly disturbing, they were having just regular conversations but the walls are paper thin. For a 1 Bedroom suite I expected at least …SOMETHING to justify getting the most exclusive room in the place, nothing to write home about at all. **The Restaurant** Update: You used to get a complimentary buffet as a Diamond member (I’d say it’s the least they can do for showing them loyalty). Not here. You get only a discount at their ridiculously overpriced buffet with only a few decent options. They have an omelet station and I asked the chef to simply sauté some veggies in oil for me. He said “No, we have veggies over there” The chef that is hired to make stuff for you couldn’t just sauté some veggies for me because they had some veggies out on the buffet. I have never seen this before. I have been on buffets multiple times and for the first time, I was denied a very simple request. Very overpriced for what you get. Not worth it in my opinion. **AMENITIES** There is nothing to do here besides stay by the fire pit they have outside. They don’t offer much. Oh and the pool area? Closes before sundown! You need to be out of there by 7PM! It’s that pathetic and ridiculous. I have never seen a hotel where the pool area closed this early. Oh so just go to the SPA place you say? Well…yeah…that also closes at 7PM. So as a Diamond member I got a complimentary bottle of water and a chance to go back to my crappy 70’s themed side of the road motel room to reflect on my life’s choices for wanting to come to this place. **CONCLUSION** I don’t think I can ever stay at this Hilton location again, they treat their guests like unwanted bratty kids that came through unannounced. There is nothing compelling me to want to come back. Even as a loyal Hilton member, this hotel does not care at all about their guests and it’s rather vivid in their treatment of guests. Will definitely stay in the Westin next time.

Top Shots Billiards and Ping Pong – Menu with Prices – 2621 66 St NW, Edmonton

Well sure they open up a beautiful pool hall when I’ve moved away haha! This is definitely the place to go if you would like to try some different things out with friends or just have a nice pool date while actually being able to have good food! This is a very large new hall run by folks that love pool and understand their customers. Service is friendly and attentive even though they are only a few weeks old. Bathrooms are clean and staff works together to keep things going smoothly in my experiences. If you have lunch they have a special where you even get an hour of free pool! They have 2 bar tables 18 nine foot tables that are fast and solid! And for the snooker enthusiast some of the best tables (4) you will find in Alberta! Pool is by the hour regardless of the amount of people on your group. They also have a whole bunch of top notch ping ping tables ($10/hr) and top quality dart boards (with complimentary darts available) and darts fun is free. The food… it is actually very very good and portions are spot on! They have all day brekkie and my favorite thing is the Cajun chicken sandwich which is phenomenal. Great fries and gravy and everything I had I liked as well as those I have brought there. Pool tourneys are ramping up so be sure to like their Facebook page for new dates. Sunday 6 Red snooker and Friday is handicapped nine ball. What else can you say other than there is a top facility for pool now where you can get a whole experience! Enjoy!

Crowne Plaza Harrisburg-Hershey – Menu with Prices – 23 S 2nd St, Harrisburg

R A C I S T! The manager did everything but drain the pool! Our organization were celebrating one of our members but. We had to right our wrong because we did have cake and a bottle of wine in the pool area. The kids and adults were enjoying the evening when the first manager told us to remove the cake and if we had drinks we had to remove them immediately. We immediately took action and apologized all the while removing everything from the area. We also had music playing which nothing was said about that. The kids (all accounted for) went back to enjoying themselves as did the adults including their parents and out leaders of the organization. In walks a white lady who entered the pool and began swimming with know bothering her. Then walks in a black guy who surveyed the area and walked out. Then a young white couple comes in and they got in the water as well. Then a middle eastern guy the first manager another white woman and another man arrive. The manager Rodney Parker burst into the pool area and shouting he stated “we’re shutting this down .” Another leader came over to ask what was wrong and if need be the music could be turned down. He became angry and asked shouting again he yelled “how many of you have keys?” We advised they all do as we were all paid for by the organization. He began yelling he was shutting the pool down. But that was only for the black people because we have white people in our organization and he didn’t telll them or the other white people to get out. The confrontation escalated out in the Hall because our other leader was be confronted about the plates placed on the table that was set up for and paid for by our organization. The manager John didn’t believe her and harrased her. Once I moved out to the hall I asked why the pool was being shut down did someone complain? John advised yes, the lady in the pool. That made matters worse because that wasn’t a valid reason to “shut” the pool down! By now Rodney was filming the kids who had abided and got out the pool! I’m the meantime I asked if the pool was also going to be drained since the white lady made a complaint because she wanted the pool to herself! I also started video taping the incident since both John and Rodney were being absolutely rude and treated us like…you guessed it…2nd class citizens. Rodney proceeded to act like he was calling the police since we continued to probe him as to why he was shutting the pool down at 9:00. Now the white women gets out and walks amongst us and I asked if she had a issue with us. She speaking in her Russian accent said “I’m a educated woman and these kids were unruly.” she walked away. So to sum it up your inferior management team took the word if a “racist white woman” and they ruined the night for a group of multi racial group of individuals just enjoying a night together. The next 6/7, your inferior Event planning team offered no resolution so we walked out of the hotel and moved to another location where we felt welcomed and supported! We will never do business at the crowne plaza again. We have found a hotel who values their customers regardless of race’
