Burgers, fries, baskets and more, Flame N Freeze is a duplicate of places like Leo’s Burgers, Frosty King, Fabulous Burgers, you get the point. Each one have their each little niche, I have yet to find the one here at Flame N Freeze but I’ve also been here only 2-3 times. If you’re someone trying to eat healthy, Flame N Freeze is not on your menu, matter of fact, it is the complete opposite and the evil food that breaks your diet… I grew up on burger establishments like this in Delano so they remind me of my high school years, I can’t lie either, I love these burgers and fries spots like I love fried chicken and pork chops. They don’t skimp on the meat for their burgers, the meat is always juicy and well-seasoned but just make sure you bring your appetite, they are not small, and not even the kid’s meal burgers are small. If you are not trying to clog up your arteries, do not come here, I love the food but after eating it you definitely feel your health drop a few points down. One thing that does stand out is their customer service, the few times I’ve been here are during rush hour and the girls taking the orders do not show any signs of stress. You often see that in fast food establishments that get crazy busy but they are upbeat and calm. The place was recently remodeled and the name changed but I cannot remember from what. The inside is super clean and the menus are modernized utilizing LED TVs, which is what a lot of places have transitioned to with their menu setup. And I cannot forget to mention that the ice for their fountain drinks are pellets, I could order Pepsi’s for days just cause of the ice. Everything sounds really good right, well the last time I ordered a double bacon cheeseburger and fries which I took back to work. I was super hungry cause I didn’t eat breakfast and ate slightly faster than I normally do. The burger felt more greasy than I’ve had here, the fries too and about 20 minutes after eating I felt queasy….lets just say I didn’t hold down the whole meal I finished. Now with that experience, will I return? Possibly but not for some time and it is near my work and something quick to grab but the mere thought of my last experience makes me want to keep away. How is that for a turn of events?

Burgerim Gourmet Burgers – Menu with Prices – 120 W CityLine Dr Suite 600, Richardson

Came for the grand opening and honestly was super disappointed. Waited in line for about like 45 min before opening really hungry and ready to get this free burger and buy some fries and etc. They had like 2 vendors come out and a DJ and had lots of balloons and what not. Finally after waiting in the heat they open the doors at 12:05pm and only let 10 ppl at a time. Me and my bf get inside and we get to “order” and by that I mean they had pre made burgers sitting out and we only got to choose from 2 options the grilled chicken or the regular burger. So now that I didnt get to try the burger I wanted to try ( assuming we could choose any burger since the advertising said free burger.. you would think it would be any of their burgers that you could choose from) we ordered a fries and grabbed our burger from the counter (who knows how long it’s been sitting in the back already made) We sit down the burger is pretty small and super sad. The veggies looked super non existant. I opened the burger and finally found it hiding. The burger was sooo dry and super chewy. Like some frozen patty that you get at your school cafeteria lunch. It was so bad I would not pay like 8 bucks for this. The fries finally came out after we finished our burger and we had to go up there to ask when our fries were done. They had it just sitting up there and no one delivering to our table.. The fries were so small.. and it was like potato chips? It was definitely better than the burgers but still so pricy for the amount of fries and size of it. Also what was really annoying was there was nothing on the table. At least have some napkins… you have to grab everything at a station which was annoying to do when theres a bunch of ppl in the store. Giving 2 stars cause they tried and gave free burgers but honestly this just made me realize why these burger IM have bad reviews and that the quality of these burgers is defin not worth the price. In and out is a million times better than this and cheaper go there instead.

Bless Your Heart Burgers 33rd Avenue – Menu with Prices – 5410 NE 33rd Ave, Portland

Located at the former site of Cannon’s Rib Express, Bless Your Heart Burgers (BYH) 33rd Avenue is the second location of BYH and the first location on the east side. There seems to be a lot of hype about BYH’s burgers and I can see why. I wouldn’t say its the best burger in town, but I did really enjoy my Classic Burger (with added sautéed mushrooms and bacon) last night. I love how BYH smashes their burgers to get a super crusty finish on the exterior of the burger. That char added so much flavor to the burger, and the burger was still moist too. The sautéed mushrooms added a nice textural element, though I would skip the bacon next time since it was a bit chewy and definitely low quality. Along with my burger, I also shared Chili Cheese Fries and the Down n Dirty Fries with my partner. Of the two, I’d say the Down n Dirty Fries were my favorite. Both of the fries came with this great beer cheese sauce, but I liked that the Down n Dirty Fries came with griddled onions, peppers, and mushrooms, as I felt like I needed more veggies in my meal due to the use of shredded lettuce in my burger instead of a big piece of lettuce, which is normally my preference. I thought the fries were a tad oily, but still tasty nonetheless.

The Burger Bros – Menu with Prices – 806 Riverview Dr Suite B, Kalamazoo

7/27/19 We were really craving burgers and didn’t want to do fast food. We searched burgers in Yelp and found Burger Bros. It was near us so we decided to check it out. MY partner ordered a double cheeseburger with onion, lettuce, and tomato. I ordered a double with BBQ sauce, mushroom, lettuce, and caramelized onions. (I didn’t get the best picture of mine). We also ordered fries to spilt. My partner did not like the fries. They were heavily seasoned and kind of became overwhelming with taste but the burgers were really good. Mine was a little messy but I ordered one with BBQ sauce so, of course, I was expecting it to have a little mess. I loved the mushroom and caramelized onions on it. It was a perfect taste. The only negative thing I would say is that when we drove up. It felt like the whole staff was outside smoking and we walked in and was reviewing the menu and they all came in to go to their areas. Not that I am against staff taking their breaks, but it felt a little weird to watch them go from smoking directly outside the building to going to the kitchen to make our burgers. Atmosphere: There is really no seating on the inside. But it’s not bad to take it to go. It wasn’t that far from my house so we ordered and took it home. Better than any other fast food and it was made fast. Cost: Double Burger $6 Regular Fries $2 Single Burger $4 Overall: I will give them 4 stars. I love the burgers and I will be going back to try a different create your own.

Freddy’s Frozen Custard & Steakburgers – Menu with Prices – 3220 N 27th St, Lincoln

Went with the family, usual new restaurant buzz. They ordered the Texas toast hot dogs, and I was craving a big burger. Never have I ever been jealous of a hot dog over a burger, until our visit there. My burger was pathetic. It was thinner than any burger I ever had, including the cheapest burgers at McDonald’s for .88 cents… I was more melted cheese than anything… And to pay over $6 for an embarrassment of a burger meal… Freddie’s realizes it’s in Nebraska, right? Maybe that sorry excuse of a burger is considered “good” where beef is a little more scarce, but not here. Never been back, we go to Honest Abe’s across the street, same kind of fries, but their burgers actually contain hamburger meat, plus a ton of other awesome flavors… we get our money’s worth there. Freddie’s is a hard pass from here on out.

The Hops Spot – Menu with Prices – 116 Walton St, Syracuse

I have been waiting to write this review for a week, but I wanted to try different burgers first to verify my first visit. My first time here I ordered the Beer Cheese burger, and I was amazed by the flavor. The pretzel bun added a touch of saltiness which I had never tasted in a burger before. Wow it kicked ass. Pamela, had a salad and requested a separate plate of fries. She loved the salad, and didn’t have much of a chance to eat many fries because I loved them too. I think my love of the fries limited her to about 4 fries. She was highly disappointed. I promised her I would save a few more for her on the next visit. Oh, Pamela said the salad was also the best she had too. My second visit, I ordered the Kevin Bacon, simply put, it was fantastic. All the flavors inuding the bacon made for a tasty and delicious eating experience. Pamela had a burger too and her own fries. Guess what? She ate them both and agreed with me, best burger in Syracuse and the fries, well, they were a perfect compliment to the burger. Who am I to argue; I love her and the burger. Tonight, I had the sweet and heat. If you like some spice, it was perfection. My three burgers, each and everyone were the best burgers I ever ate. The beer selection is tremendous. Too many choices. Too many flavors. Highly intimidating. The good news is that the wait staff is highly accommodating to taste before you buy. As for the restaurant, the atmosphere is cool. All brick interior, bar in the middle of the two halves. One side that is smaller, but w high top tables, big tvs, and a.spot for a small live band. The other half, where you walk in above the Empire Brewing Co, is large with many booths, tables, and TVs. Way in the back is another room w games and tables. You can play Cornhole. The restaurant can get quite loud when at its peak around 7:30pm to 8pm. Overall a good experience while with friends and guest. My waitress tonight was Amanda. She was terrific. Very friendly and a big hockey fan. My buddies and I had a great time talking hockey with her and we’re treated well. If you have time while in Armory SQ or just want to have the best burger ever, the Hop Spot is the place to go.

MOOYAH Burgers, Fries & Shakes – Menu with Prices – 5365 Alton Pkwy A2, Irvine

MOST RECENT UPDATE: After Mooyah kindly reached out to me again and sent me a gift card to try their burgers again, I decided to change my review from 1 star to 3 stars. The food was better and came out fresh. We had the double cheeseburger, Mushroom Swiss burger, sharable fries, and the Oreo milkshake. The double cheeseburger was a solid good burger and the oreo milkshake was creamy and had lots of oreos mixed in. I also like how they use a potato bun. It’s super soft and goes well with the meat. The Mushroom Swiss burger on the other hand was very bland. It felt like it was missing something like an aioli sauce or something to bring out the mushroom flavor. I’ve had a lot of mushroom burgers and this is by far the blandest. And the fries! The fries omg it wasn’t as hot or crispy on the outside compared to other burger joints. Didn’t taste fresh at all. Still tasted like it was sitting under a heat lamp. They do give a lot though! Overall, the double cheeseburger and the oreo milk shake were the best. I think they need to work on their other burgers a little bit more and definitely on the turn around rate for the fries. You need to have good hot fries to eat with a burger! Not bad Mooyah, you got some good potential. UPDATE: So apparently the owner of Mooyah, Ron Camera reached out to me and told me he would send me a gift card to come back and try the food again. It’s been almost 3 months now and I still have received anything. Some of the other yelpers that received the same email said they never got a gift card too. Wow that’s crazy like you say you want people to try your food again and promise a gift card but never actually send it out? Hella sketchu Oh man we expected so much more than this! This place had good reviews so we decided to try it for dinner tonight but was immensely disappointed!! The fries were lukewarm and tasted like it had been out for hours. Not fresh at all!! We ordered the Bacon Chedder burger and the mushroom Swiss burger. Our buns were cold…like fridge cold wtf. And the patties were dry and Luke warm like they were under the heater for over an hour. The mushrooms in the burger were cold too. Terrible! We paid $25 for food we threw away sauce it was that bad. Carl’s Jr. would have had better burgers and be half the price. This place needs a wake up call

South Cali Steak Burger Bar – Menu with Prices – 301 Montgomery St, Chula Vista

South Cali Steak Burger Bar (what a mouthful, huh?) did not disappoint. Our burgers were fire. I love when you go to a burger place & the burgers taste homemade, these burgers taste just like burgers you’d make for yourself on the grill at home. They were super juicy & flavorful. My husband ordered the original charbroiled burger w/ cheese & I ordered the avocado bacon burger. I was super torn because they have a teriyaki pineapple burger but I make those all the time at home, still I know it would have been lit. We both ordered 6oz patties & I literally thought they gave me the 8oz in error because my burger was huge, I could barely finish half. A huge plus was that they did NOT skimp on the ingredients! They gave me some big ol’ slices of avocado & three full slices of perfectly cooked bacon. THREE full slices! My husband made his meal a combo which came w/ seasoned fries & they were good, I love me a seasoned fry, y’all. South Cali Steak Burger Bar would have been out of our way otherwise but my husband had driven me down to Chula Vista so I could pick up some Cuban pastries and we almost didn’t stop in, despite the stellar reviews, because we didn’t see parking, but I’m so glad we did. I think we paid a little over $20 altogether & those are my kind of prices so I’d definitely stop in again if I ever found myself in Chula Vista.

Burger King – Menu with Prices – 8230 Talbert Ave, Huntington Beach

Today I ate two of my daughter’s Burger King fries, which is the first time I’ve eaten BK…. possibly this millennium. Everyone with an IQ in double digits knows that In-n-Out is the true King of Burgers (specifically of the fast-food genre). Well below, in second place, is Jack in the Box. Then McDonalds, for their fries and because there’s always one within discus-throwing distance. Carl’s Jr sucks, and not many Wendy’s around, though they’re decent. Then you’ve got numerous independent joints, which are typically better than the chains, but not always. Five Guys is probably my favoritest burger. But, I digress. (If you’ve read any of my reviews you’ll see it’s a habit. Many say it’s intentional. Myself included.) Anyway, you make a Saturday morning trip to Walmart to buy the slave market produced crap that they sell, and conveniently located just inside the entrance is a Burger King. (Used to be McDonalds. Like it matters.) So, to keep a 5 year old from running uncontrollably rampant, you placate her with some French fries. Yes, I know there’s an In-n-Out just on the other side of the parking lot! First off, I ain’t waiting in THAT line just to buy my daughter fries! Plus, love their burgers, their fries taste like dead cardboard! (I digressed again. Get used to it.) It’s a new place, so still has that new burger smell, and the place doesn’t look dingy and worn, yet. Of course, it’s in a Walmart, so does it really freaking matter? Service is typical of a fast food place. We’ve only ever gotten fries here. We’ll only ever get fries here. If we want a burger, we’re going across the parking lot to the In-n-Out. For their burgers, I’ll wait in that line.

Black Market Meal Prep – Menu with Prices – 424 S Main St, Orange

This place is ok, I’m not sure what the hype is all about. I appreciate the younger crowd and young business owner, hopefully this review can be useful to them. I paid $15 + tip for a burger meal with a water for a drink. If I had gotten a drink, it would have been almost $20 total for just myself. Pretty expensive for a fast-food restaurant, I can spend less money eating at a full-service restaurant like Island Burgers. I’m not seeing where my money is going, aside from substituting lettuce with raw arugula or raw collards. When I got my burger, I was expecting it to be ridiculously tasty, or at least a large effort should have been made to make everything from scratch. The buns have fancy burn marks on them, but they’re not made fresh in-house. The tomatoes on my burger were pink and tough, not red and juicy. My burger patty came well-done and was somewhat dry, I would have ordered it medium-well if I was given the option. The sweet potato fries must be frozen, I want to say they’re the same as the frozen fries that I buy from Trader Joe’s. This place has some fresh ingredients, and the interior of the restaurant is trendy and clean. But again, I’m not sure where my money went. If this were anywhere in the Midwest, paying that much money would mean I’d be eating one of the best burgers ever.

Burger Boys – Menu with Prices – 2400 Chapman Hwy, Knoxville

Went here after reading the good reviews on here, I have to say without a shadow of a doubt this was the worst hamburger I have ever had. while he was getting our hamburger ready, I saw he took them from underneath a pan on the grill, I asked him if those were fresh burgers, he replied absolutely. they were not fresh, ordered 2 burgers and needed to wash down with a drink they were so dry. I told him it was our first time here, why on earth would somebody not put their best foot forward to impress, all to pawn off dried up hamburgers and lose a new customer for life. he was very friendly food was just horrible, no flavor and dry as hell, I also think he dipped the fries in water also- soggy as hell, he didnt put the fries in the fryer till after he had completed the burgers???? seems out of order to me-lol would not recommend, at least he got rid of to horrible burgers and fries-wow

Jekyll & Hyde?s Gastropub – Menu with Prices – 8 E 10th St, Erie

My dad brother and I tried jekyll and hydes this past weekend for a change of the usual places. My brother and I love to try different craft beers and they have 46 differnt beers on draft so that was great. Next the food. We started with the mushrooms and meat and cheese board since apps and draft beers wer $2 off. They were both really good. The meat to bread ratio was really good. My dad and brother had the turkey club. The sandwiches were huge. The only disappointment i heard was my brothers “cajun” fries were just regular fries with a bunch of cajun seasoning dumped on them. I really wanted to try their “impossible” vegan burger. I myself am not vegetarian but my wife and I have cut a lot of red meat out of our diet so every once in a while like to try something different and supposedly this burger is really good. I settled for the black bean burger and a side salad which was really good. The burger was cooked well and had good flavor. My son was also there. He had a side of mac n cheese which he liked a lot. We had to keep it away from grandpa who kept eating. Great experience. We will be back for sure!

Good Burger Menu with Prices 7609 W Overland Rd, Boise

We decided to give this homegrown Boise burger joint a try, not being fans of chain eateries. There were 3 of us, and we all chose a different item from the menu. The Bacon Cheeseburger, because I figured you can’t go wrong with that, a Mushroom Swiss burger, and a Jalapeno Burger. We also ordered onion rings and fries, to try the majority of the menu, along with regular sodas to drink. First off, the Bacon Cheeseburger… it seems that I was wrong and that one can ruin that basic burger. I felt like I was eating cardboard and sawdust, it was that dry and tough. I understand they do all their burgers well-done and most times that has to do with health codes or CYA when it comes to meat borne illness, but there’s a fine line between well done and overdone and dry. There was literally no meat juices left in the hamburger. The bacon was half done, and soggy, hanging down the sides of my burger. I literally ate 2 bites of the burger and pushed it aside. It was that unappetizing visually and orally. My sister had the Mushroom and Swiss Burger, and her burger was overdone to the point of being dry and hard with no meat juices left as well. Melted cheese and mushrooms cannot make up for dry meat. The burger itself was also very sloppily assembled and when opened, the bun was askew and all of the toppings were all over the outside of the burger. The toppings were eaten with a fork, the burger left alone. My husband had the Jalapeno Burger and his burger patty was also overdone. He ate the burger and said he did not enjoy it, but he also will eat burned toast. None of our patties had flavor. My husband had the onion rings and they were oily and not crisp, I had the fries and they were also oily and not crisp. I hate to do that thing where you say “I have been in all areas of the food service and hospitality sector for many years and…”, but I really have been there done that and can say here that it’s probably not the concept that is at fault, but management for not having training benchmarks and employee training, for not meeting those benchmarks. Your fryer temperatures were not hot enough to cook the fries and rings to seal that outside layer properly, or those fries and rings had been sitting too long. No one like soggy fries or onion rings. Your grill employees were not trained well enough on your grill to recognize when a burger is medium well and to pull it at that point, as it will continue to go to well done while it is sitting on your prep board, thus satisfying health regulations as well as customer expectation of having a juicy burger. All the fancy things you throw on a burger will not disguise the fact that your base is not done well. The public is becoming more discerning, and there are other choices out there.
