I’m a former driver for this company. Let me begin by saying that this is by far the worse company I have ever worked for. I started off working PM shifts; then they added me to their AM shifts as well. I always had the most deliveries to drop off out of all the drivers( usually about 40 to 45 on nights I worked ) . My deliveries were accurate and on time. I even received tips and cards during Christmas time ( not sure any other driver could say that )If there was ever an error with a delivery it was usually a problem with the app or the information was loaded incorrectly by management. When I started I was given a set area and a set pay rate. 2 weeks after I would be given a different area every night I came in ( still had the most deliveries ) Everytime pay day would come around I had to argue over how much I was getting paid and how many miles I had driven ( when it’s suppose to be recorded by a gps based app we used ). I was suppose to receive my 1st check about 3 weeks after I started because we were payed biweekly. It took almost 2 months to get that 1st check ( which was short by a couple hundred I had to fight to get ) After that every single check I received was at least 5 days or more after our pay date. ( I not sure how that’s even posdible ) But here’s the best part. When you would deposit the check; about 90 % of the time it would bounce. Not only that but when you call mangement and told them about it. They would give you attitude ( I’m talking about you Justin ) and tell you it would be a couple days before you could cash it. They made you feel like you were wrong for asking for the money they owed you. The receptionist always acted like a bit** everytime I would go there to get my check and a couple of others. It was very apparent that they didn’t care. What made this most apparent to me was when we were suppose to get payed on the 15th of Dec. and they didn’t give us our checks til the day after Christmas ( I bet the front staff was payed ). Throughout all that I stayed with the company ( mostly on a part time basis ever since I left a nasty message on Christmas urging the other drivers to speak up )til today. I can really go on and on about their rudeness and their lack of paying on time. But hopefully this will suffice. Here’s my last example. The 21st of March. I just tried to cash a check that I was suppose to receive on the 15th ( which I have to pay $7 to cash because my bank wants to put 10 day holds on their checks and TD bank charges to cash their checks and everywhere else doesn’t want to do business with them ) and I was denied. I called Fit Food and I’m still waiting to find out when I can cash my check. While I can’t speak for the food aspect of this company I can tell you as a former employee ( as of today ) to do yourself a favor and go to another food service. If you treat your employees in that fashion ( and if you think about it; the delivery drivers are the backbone of their company. Without them clients won’t receive their food which means no business ) it’s only a matter of time before it trickles down to the customers.

Crown Fried Chicken – Menu with Prices – 146-20 Rockaway Blvd, Jamaica

So I called at 12:30 To place delivery…by 1:15 I didn’t receive my food and I was only 3 mins drive away. So I called they say they forgot because they had so much deliveries, they will send it now. Ok so it’s 2:25 still no food so I called phone just keeps ringing. I called about 4 times no answer so I took an uber because I’m at work. Got there he say he doesn’t answer the phone so I’m thinking why do u take deliveries then. Now the other guy called and say he a outside my location I told him I was in the store. Now there’s another couple in there arguing about they put delivery ask well over an hour. This place is UNPROFESSIONAL and the food was definetly a waste of my time because it was DISGUSTING. fries were so hard and chicken is very salty. Please do not go there no matter if you’re starving because that’s what happened to me.

Domino’s Pizza – Menu with Prices – 6451 Riverside Dr, Irving

If you order here, you may want to pick your order up and double check it before you leave. I have tried the delivery option and more often than not I don’t receive all the items I order ( soda, dipping cups, flavor soda or wrong size) . This has happened several times and got to the point where I would check my order completely at the door and if any item is missing I would have that item removed from my bill because I’m.not paying for anything I’m not getting and also that eliminates any tip what so ever. They say we can give you a “credit” but what good does a “credit” do???? I can’t eat a “credit” with the rest of my order, I didn’t call Dominos for a “credit” and to receive half of what I ordered. Get it together drivers… Smh

Pzza.Co-Hfx – Menu with Prices – 3450 Joseph Howe Dr, Halifax

When I have a hankering for pizza and what to order something in, I always go for Pizzatown. They have really great deals on their pizzas so it’s easy to find something I’m in the mood for – though honestly, their pepperoni is the best – and they use Brother’s Pepperoni! I’ve never been into the actual store, so I can’t say what it’s like to eat in, but the deliveries are always prompt and the drivers are chatty and kind. If you like wings definitely try the dusted fryer wings, yum!

Tropicana Company Store – Menu with Prices – 1001 13th Ave E, Bradenton

Please owner operators don’t load here. Unless you’re getting paid very well than why not, otherwise don’t pick up here. Everyone is rude, it’ll take an eternity for you to load. I got paid well but I’m not coming here again honestly. It’s not worth it. Let Prime, Heyl and Marten to come and do their drop and hooks, because they don’t know any better. I have my own authority and I though this place would respect drivers time. I was really wrong. If only all of us can get together and not pick up in places like this so they can see that we’re needed and not to disrespect us like this. No respect for drivers time. before you book a load ask if it’s picking up in Bradenton, Fl and if it does ask if it’s Tropicana? And if it is. Please stay away. As I will for the next time. Stay safe out there drivers.

Brokedown Palace – Menu with Prices – 8805 Maple St #6125, Omaha

Where have you been all my life…or at least as long as I have been in Omaha. So this bar really checks my boxes. Dive bar – Check Grateful Dead themed – Check!! Greeted by a dog when we walked in – Check Jam Bands on the Jukebox – Check! So sure this is just a bar tucked away at the end of a non-descript strip mall and sure it’s not fancy, but Grateful Dead and Nebraska anything usually don’t go hand in hand, so this was a great surprise to find and then check out. The drinks were strong, the atmosphere chill, the music was great, the people friendly and hell there were a couple dogs roaming around when we were there. That’s pretty much a perfect evening.

Maine Lobster Direct – Menu with Prices – 48 Union Wharf, Portland

So I would like to thank everyone who helped get our order to us. We ordered two 2.5 lobsters to be sent from Portland Maine to Portland Oregon. We placed this order to be shipped to our home the Friday before Christmas and due to circumstances beyond this organizations control, the order arrived a day late and we were unable to enjoy our meal as expected. When I called to report this issue, the woman who helped me was so empathetic and understanding to our situation. We rescheduled the delivery and we chose to wait a couple weeks after the holiday to ensure no shipping issues arose again. I cannot express the professional and personal service that was given to us especially when we had to call with concerns about our order. Calling to complain or express dissatisfaction is always uncomfortable but everyone I interacted with was very helpful and professional. The customer service I received shapes my opinion of this company and I look forward to ordering from them again. Speaking to the quality of the Lobsters: they were packed really well and obviously handled with care. The company sends along a cook book with many recipes to help the novice lobster cook navigate cooking a lobster for the first time, and I’m sure this information also provides the experienced cook alternative cooking options. The lobsters turned out wonderful and I appreciated the additional information they sent with our order. The price was very fair, for the quality of lobster they send. In conclusion, I will absolutely purchase lobsters from this company again!! Thank you to everyone who helped get our order to us!

Durnell’s Food & Spirits – Menu with Prices – 2502 Broadway, Fort Wayne

This place has apparently been in Fort Wayne longer than I have (my entire life, by the way), and yet tonight is the first time I’ve ever past thru its doors. The evening was certainly interesting, but in a good way. This place is in a bit of a time warp – they accept cash and checks, but no credit cards; and….if you don’t happen to have enough cash to cover the tab, they actually send you home with a stamped and addressed envelope so that you can SEND THEM A CHECK. Who does this? Apparently Durnells, and according to our server, they never been stiffed on a bill. Unbelievable. Anyhow, we went in for dinner, as we had heard that their fried fish on was really good, and we had heard correctly – the fish was terrific, and the portions are enormous. The decor is old school also, but not in a bad way. We will be back to try more items on the menu, with cash in hand. Also….no beer, wine or liquor – strange for a “bar and grill”, but they apparently dropped their license some time ago. If you are looking for something a little different, this place certainly qualifies!

Austin Taco Project Menu with Prices 500 E 4th St, Austin

The whole experience was a bad one. We came to Austin for a bachelorette party and were super excited to get started as it was our first night. Based on recommendations of friends we came to Austin Taco Project, we made a reservation at 7 and walked into a half empty restaurant. Walking in we were greeted by the hostess who acted as if she hated her life. We got seated at a dirty table, where multiple times we had to ask for it to be cleaned. Only from here did it continue going downward. Our server, or whoever it was because we didn’t have an actual server, gave us attitude and rolled her eyes when we said we needed a minute to look at the menu and wait on drinks because we were waiting for a friend to come back from the bathroom. We ordered drinks and food and had to ask multiple times for more chips because we had ran out for our guacamole & salsa. Our food ended up coming before we got more chips. Once we got our food our drinks were empty. Not once did our “server” come back to refill our waters or ask if we wanted another round of margaritas. So we ate our dinner with no drinks. We ended up sitting in this restaurant for almost TWO HOURS (keep in mind the restaurant is almost empty) because we couldn’t find our server to receive our checks. After another worked passed by we said to send out server out with checks and here she came and slammed our checks down and walked off, making us wait another 30 minutes to pay. Once we finally paid she sent another person out to deliver our cards back and no one said a word to us. Needless to say we won’t be going back. Very disappointed with the experience.

Fill Your Belly Deli – Menu with Prices – 282 Manor Rd, Staten Island

I was on military duties( dressed in uniform) going in for breakfast the guys made a mistake and gave someone else my sandwich and gave me his. I went back after seeing he made a mistake to get it fix. He seem annoyed. I told him what i had asked for , he said ok. Now I payed $5:25 for a bagel beef sandwich. He gave me a deef patty with no bagel . I asked wheres the bagel. He then put the beef patty on the bagel with egg that I brought back. I told him I dont eat eggs thats why I walked back to fix it. Dude started mouthing off “I dont have anymore bagels,” you change your order too much.” Went in the cash register pull the money and slap it on the counter.” ( disrespectful customer service to the ppl who support their business) if your military do not buy there. He has no respect for us who over pay for there meals.

Dyer’s Variety Store – Menu with Prices – 45 Portland St, Portland

Stay Fit Meals Menu with Prices 3550 Stine Rd, Bakersfield

I will never go back to this place. I had signed up for 40 meals and 20 desserts. When I signed up the guy I signed up with told me there was no expiration date but I should try to use them within a year and I can come pick up my meals whenever I want if I don’t want to take them all at once. I obviously did not want to take all 40 meals. So the first time I took 4 meals and 3 desserts. Since I travel a lot I don’t come every week. When I came back the second time to get my meals some weeks later he had lost my paper that shows how many meals I picked up. He asked me how many I had taken. So then he started a new paper and I took another 4 meals. Then recently I went in again to get more meals and he couldn’t find my paper and said everything expires in 45 days and they throw their papers away. I told him no one told me it expires in 45 days because I wouldn’t have payed for that many meals because I know I wouldn’t be able to use all of them up. I asked if he can show me the paper that I signed where it says I have 45 days. He showed me a sample of the paper and I told him I wanted to see what I signed cause they could have just recently changed the policy. They could not find any of my paperwork. I payed around 260 for all my meals and if you are going to take that kind of money from someone you should at least keep their paperwork in your system for a year. I know very well I would not pay 260 dollars for meals I need to finish in 45 days because I wouldn’t be able to use them all. They are really unprofessional and keep no track of how many meals you have taken and have no system. They Just just keep a file and then they loose that file as well, if you can’t keep track of your customers you should not offer meal plans. I would rather go to another place where they have some kind of system. I only got 8 meals and my 260 dollars went to waste.

Village Bakery – Menu with Prices – 111 E 8th St, Tyler

Go to this place for one important reason. The cakes, pies, cookies and Pastries taste like your grandmother made them. Yes, their business model is very old-fashioned–like only excepting cash or checks and so on. Their workers are better at baking cookies than customer service. However, I can except a few quirky old-fashioned things for the best buttercream icing I’ve ever tasted. Their Italian cream cake is out of this world. My son loves their Gingerbread men cookies. I highly recommend letting them decorate with just regular butter cream icing on specialty cakes. If you want something particular printed, then they have to use the same machine as everyone else. If you want to use a credit card, debit card, or your Apple wallet there are many other bakeries in town for you. In my view, Village is worth going by the ATM to get cash. I can accept a few out of date business practices if it means their baked good stay old fashioned and excellent. Just try taking one of their cakes to a Tyler event. When your guests see the box with a Village sticker they will say “Village Bakery–what a wonderful treat.”
