I went to First Magnitude Brewing Company on a weeknight as part of a going away party for a friend. I didn’t know what to expect but seeing the crazy amount of children running around blew my mind. I don’t think alcohol and liquor are bad and that we should “think of the children!” when it comes to drinking. I’m just shocked that this place, that doesn’t serve food and is a BREWERY is considered a family-friendly place. It’s a brewery. The purpose is for people to come together and drink and have a good time. The night I was there there was no food truck. They do have a food truck schedule but I was either too early for the food truck or none was scheduled. So imagine a bunch of people sipping on beers with no food and all these kids are running around. My friend brought her toddler but only because she had no sitter and this was the last time we’d see our friend. Neither of us had a drink. I was on my own so I wasn’t drinking. It just…I don’t know. Maybe if I were with a group of friends I knew much better than I knew the folks I was with that night it would have been a much better experience. Also, I just don’t get the kids. Why? Why is it such a horrible thing to have a place for adults to gather and hang out without children running around? It’s just frustrating that GNV makes everything a family-friendly place.

Richmond Hotel and Tavern – Menu with Prices – 172 King St, London

I WARN YOU DO NOT GO ANYWHERE NEAR THIS ESTABLISHMENT!! At some point me and a friend needed a hotel to stay at so we decided to stay at the tavern. I wasnt sure who to talk to for a room so i asked the gentleman down stairs. He took our money for one weeks stay and gave each of us a room key. During the night i had to go to the washroom. It was small, dark a dismall, to my horror when looking into the waste basket nearest the toilet … USED SYRINGES IN PLAIN SIGHT! I ran from there to my room again… the nights sleep was ok aside from the music pounding my body… The next morning we woke up to some old man creep pounding at our door. Turns out this was the REAL hotel manager. He basically told us to get our shit and get out. We quickly gathered together our things but not before we went downstairs to confront the original man who turned out to be the bartender. He refused to give me back any of the money claiming that i was being stupid. We ran up to our now unlocked hotel room. My friend couldnt find her cell phone. I told her to look under the pillows and sure enough there it was. She knew she left it on the desk and i saw it there too. Once we retrieved the phone and hotel management caught eye of this he started getting more verbally violent. Shooing us out with swear words calling us name’s as we packed in a hurry When we finally escaped the establishment we ran and couldnt have run fast enough!!! I warn you! Dont drink here. Dont stay here and dont support this place The one night i tried was like a scene out of some horror movie!!keep safe!!!

IstanBulls Hookah Lounge – Menu with Prices – 29 Van Campen Blvd, Wilmington

Last night 2.1.19 we went out to celebrate with a love one for her birthday. We had reservations for a party of 8.The birthday girl arrived and her best friend were the first to arrive. 10 mins later myself and two cousins arrived. Once we got in and sat down Isoon(the worker) came over to explain the menu and ask what flavor did we wanna put in the hookah. Two of them had paid 14.98 and ordered drinks. Isoon came back and ask what did I want I said nothing at the moment I was trying to figure out what I wanted to do but I didnt wanna smoke because I had a sore throat. Isoo. Stood there with her hands together and said well its 14.98 and you cant just sit and hang out we run a place of business and its a friday night and you had a reservation of 8. I said so basically you want my 14.98 to just sit ok I paid for a glass of wine and begin to hookah as well. Keep in mind on a busy friday night it was 5 of us in the place myself and my family. Than about 10 mins later a couple came in. A few moments later our other family memeber arrived. Isoon came back over ask what she would like she told her and paid the 14.98 but Isoon had not brought the hookah just her drink. A few seconds later Isoon came and sak where was the rest of the party at this time it was 6 of us. 2 more friends were on the way. So we explained they were coming but we had no control over who showed up. When she stood there she said she wouldn’t bring the hookah out unless the other two came or either we paid the 14.98 for the two other people and she would bring the 3rd hookah. So we said ok no problem us 6 will just smoke out the two we have. The other friend soon Arrived and Isoon was back our friend stated said she would take a drink and she didnt wanna smoke. Isoon told her it was 14.98 for her drink (a corona) she said oh no Im not paying 14.98 for one drink Isoon than explained again we were there on a friday night when they are busy. Again at this time it was 9 people my family and a couple. Our friend eneded up leaving to meet us at dinner. Just a few seconds later our other friend arrive which would have had our party of 8. Isoon came back and ask her for her order she said no thanks I dont want anything im fine Isoon than explained again what she had said 6 times already. She walked away and was talking to the gentlemen who was working she came back and said you can stay and just pay the price of a drink. At this point you had already made $90 and we were disappointed because it wasnt explained correctly at the time of the reservation. If we had known we would have definitely went elsewhere. This was the worse experience ever not to mention we were in the back of the place with no lighting and every camera was pointed at us. So sad because they had plenty of space to put us young ladies they sat the couple up in front towards the tv and they had lights to see. We had to use the flashlight on our cellphones to read the menu. We wont be back.

AMF Spare Time Lanes Menu with Prices 3149 S Cooper St S, Arlington

This is another go to for me when its a first date. I have, and usually whoever is with me, a great time. The prices are fair, staff is happy and upbeat but the bar could use a little staff training. If there are 2 or more people in line for a drink, forget it, you’re going to be standing there for the rest of the night. Typical bar food and the cook was really outgoing and friendly. I always get the fried pickles. When I’ve been there, the music has always been top 40, hip hop and R &B. A great mix of family, kids, singles, groups and people out on dates. Everyone that comes here seems to be laid back, friendly and chill. Bring the kids, bring the family, and have a fun night of bowling without all that expensive hoopla

Catawba Brewing Company South Slope Asheville Menu with Prices 32 Banks Ave, Asheville

We came to this brewery on a fun night out with friends. The place had a nice atmosphere and good music. My boyfriend and his sister along with her boyfriend were the only ones drinking. My boyfriend went to get himself a beer and the man serving him, which I assume was the manager, asked him if I was with him and if I was drinking with him. My boyfriend explained that I was with him but that I do not drink and was not going to participate in any drinking that night. He sold him the beer and my boyfriend came back to join us and was telling us which beer he has gotten. We were listening to music and talking within friends and the manager came running up to us and grabbed my boyfriends full beer and said “I saw what you did and I’m not having it tonight”. We were all so confused and astonished at how rude he had acted. My boyfriend and I went up to the bar again and had told another worker what had happened. The manager heard what we had said and threw a $5 bill at us that he grabbed out of the tip jar and said “here’s your money back I’m not dealing with this”. I told him I never took a sip of the beer if that is what he thought occurred and he said to me that my boyfriend lied about being with me and he said he was not comfortable serving him and then ran off into another direction, leaving us confused and angry. The manager was the only rude worker towards us, the other staff were very nice and approachable. This experience ruined our night and we will never come back.

Intracoastal Brewing Company – Menu with Prices – 652 W Eau Gallie Blvd, Melbourne

I can’t believe it took me so long to visit this brewery! I am a Melbourne native and I come back to town every other month, yet I had not step foot in this brewery until now. I have to be honest and say that I wasn’t expecting too much, but this brewery knocked it out of the park. Beer wise, I was mostly expecting Lagers and IPAs, but I was super wrong. Their tap list is very varied, and yes, you will find some Lagers and IPAs, but I was very surprised with their Sours and their Brown Ales. Their concoctions really are the perfect drink for this Florida weather. This time, I got to try their Horchata Ale, which literally tasted like the real deal. Horchata is one of my favorite drinks in the entire world, so it came as no surprise I had 2 pints of this delicious beer. You can really taste the spices, the cinnamon and all the elements that are involved in this drink. Then I tried there oatmeal brown Ale, and I have to say that I was super impressed. The service was excellent and the taproom was beautiful. Everything was extremely clean and decorated with murals that truly represent the Space Coast area. The brewery expanded to the next building, where they have beer tanks and also another bar with beer slushies! Yes, you heard that right, beer slushies! I love the fact that they have a big picnic tables outside, where you can sit and mingle with other people. They also have a big space for kids to play games, making it a very family oriented business. Their food truck was also a bomb ass. I was not expecting Peruvian food in Melbourne, let alone excellent Peruvian food, but this truck had everything covered. I will certainly be back next time I’m in town because the trip is totally worth it. If you haven’t check them out, please do!

Ginger’s Revenge Menu with Prices 829 Riverside Dr Suite 100, Asheville

Um. I think I’ve died and gone to heaven!!! This brewery is everything I’ve ever dreamed of. I’m not an IPA gal–I’ve grown to like ciders a lot because sours can be a bit much on my stomach at times but more than anything I loveeee Moscow Mules.. But tend to always call it quits during the night when I’m out drinking with all my beer pals ? So this is just the place for me! Beer that IS made from ginger. I love it. Every aspect. I, of course, didn’t try their hops collection but it does indeed exists! I got a flight and then ended the night with their slushie–once again, a dream come true! Their atmosphere is super chill but only open until 10pm so definitely want to stop here early on in the night, or before you put the kids to sleep, as it seemed a lot of parents were doing! Guess they’re one of the few breweries in AVL that lets you have kids there past 8pm. They have live music on Saturdays, chess on Mondays and $1 off growlers on Wednesdays (definitely need to go back on a Wednesday to score myself one). Can’t wait to take friends and family here when they visit! Or just go back at my own leisure because it was that damn good.

Star Chicken Menu with Prices 2524 W Lincoln Ave, Anaheim

So, I came here the last night around 1 am. Ambience: As soon as a group of my friends and I came in, she asked me if I was korean. I said, yes and I spoke a little. She continues to say, “We close at 2.” Several of times. I told them that we knew we just wanted to eat. Anyways, a friend of mine knew what he wanted and just said Bibimbap, the owner looked so offended and said they didnt have it. He proceeds to order beer. Anyways, everyone order water and their food. The waiter ask for me and another girls ID for no reasons. We kept saying sure but we aren’t drinking. And I said I was 20. Meaning I had no intention of drinking if I wholesomly said I was 20. Then the older lady kept speaking korean and saying, “No. She’s 20. We cant serve them.” And none of my friends understand them (they were white and filipino). The waiter told the old lady that it was fine but they kept arguing back and forth about us. They threw in a couple of insults. Anyways, we told them again only one dude is drinking. They walked away and again continued to argue about us at the register. Finally we got the most weirdest and strangest vibe, we didnt want them to spit in our food and left. They just let us walk out without saying anything. We were all sober and polite. Then we were standing in parking lot for a bit to find a new place that opens late. People were walking in and out of an next door that has no business signs!! And we heard a muderous scream in a car before they drove off. So, we scurrried away out of fright. Everything about this place was weird. It felt like a dream that was dreary and no context and just creepy. In response the owner’s comment 7/9/2018: That is simply not true. You are talking to a experienced Head Server/Waitress and Manager of restaurants. For example, if a father orders a beer at a restaurant with his kids and wife, he can get a beer. Whether his kids or wife drinks, he ordered the beer. They are not drinking. If you are worried you can watch to see if someone underage or you did not card, does not drink. There is a saying, “Drink responsibly.” as well. We as customers, have a responsibility if it comes to drinking. And if you refuse to give us service (even if we did not do anything wrong, it is on you.) And you have the responsibility of: -Checking IDs -You do not denied a person alcohol unless they are ALL UNDERAGE -TOO PRESENTLY DRUNK. As in drunk, CLEARLY INTOXICATED AND ACTING INAPPROPRIATE. For example, a man becomes handy with a me (a waitress) after 20 glasses of beer (my boss stop serving him beer when I responsibly informed them). Update: By you responding to this review and suggesting that I will have alcohol is discriminating. You guys clearly did want to serve us. You are serving the people of age alcohol. Not me. On another note, one of you server was about to give my friend the alcohol, but the elderly around 60-70 repeatedly stopped her. I was the only one that was 20 and the rest were 26 and up. If you guys were that worried if I was going to drink, watch us then. FYI, I do not drink alcohol because I have a neurological disorder that inhibits me from drinking. My brain is literally sick. I do not need to tell you this. You as a business lack knowing regulation and protocols. You have the worst response coming as a business representative.

UPTOWN JUNGLE FUN PARK | Henderson, NV – Menu with Prices – 27 S Stephanie St, Henderson

This was my second time here and it was by far the most horrible experience I’ve had to go through with my kids!! If I could rate no stars I would! My family of 5 including me went on 10/25/19 for my Son’s friend’s birthday party… everything was going great up until the last 30 minutes where my husband and I noticed that there was an altercation between our kids and their friend with some teenagers.. and when we look over I see a teenage girl(had to have been around 16/17) PUSHING MY 8 YEAR OLD SON!!! I run over there as fast as I could and my son had gotten pushed because he was defending his friend who is a 9 year old girl who was pushed first! My son and his friend said they were trying to take the balls away from them and literally opening their hands and taking the balls out and throwing them at their faces and that’s when it all started!! This teenage BULLY was over half my kid’s age and taller than me!! She had absolutely no right!!! To push my son!! She was with 3 other big kids and 3 small kids!! They were cussing and yelling at my kids including my 3 year old!! The staff was called, and of course they didn’t do shit! Since they’re all teenagers as well! There’s not one adult worker there AT ALL!! They need to have adults there working with those hundreds of kids that go in every day! Not other kids watching kids!! Eventually the police were called and my son’s friend’s mom wants to press charges against the teen girl. I wanted to see them get kicked out and banned from this place but of course that didn’t happen!!! The staff said they had to wait until their parent got there for them to leave!! Like you’re not supposed to be left alone there in the first place if you’re still a kid! I don’t care if you’re 17!! It’s the rules and they should be followed! Especially for this place that allows any age children to play with kids that are as little as two years!! They need to have an age limit!! They need to have more staff and they need to be ADULTS!! The assistant manager was called and he came and told us that he didn’t have access to the security cameras and that the general manager would be here Monday morning to look at the tapes. My son’s friend’s mom is going back on Monday and she will be talking to the general manager about this and the video will be reviewed and charges will be pressed! Those kids need to be taught a lesson!! DO NOT TOUCH MY KIDS!! Teach your damn kids to be respectful and not rude and bullies!! Overall this place didn’t do anything but ruin the little girl’s birthday and make us have the worst experience ever that means never going back! Assistant manager said I couldn’t get a refund until Monday when the general manager was in.. and if this place wasn’t so far from me I would be back on Monday for my refund and to talk to the manager about the place they are running! Definitely won’t be coming back ever again and I will tell all my friends and family the same.

Meshack’s Bar-B-Que – Menu with Prices – 240 E Avenue B, Garland

Another highly recommended place that just proves some people have zero idea what good would be even if it hit them in the face. This may have been amazing 20 yrs ago – but today, compared to the high end bbq movement sweeping Texas (Ive eaten at most of the Tx Monthly top 10-15 joints too), this isnt even dickies level que. Some people like the novelty of a take out only shack with no seating. Fine. Some people like The idea of drowning bbq in sauce ( they prob like well done steak Too). Whatever. Im actually ok With the chaos that is the parking lot here. Running out quickly isnt even that bad to me. It keeps the daily product fresh usually and not a case of chopping yesterday’s leftovers into the 2 nd tier dishes like chopped sandwiches and baked potatoes. But when youre charging top dollar for mediocre beef, with none of the overhead other, much better places, have at the same price point – im out. We ordered sliced beef sandwiches, and knew the dining situation before arriving. However eating this sandwich in my truck, or even on the tailgate was impossible. It had an inch of sauce swimming in the foil. So much that BOTH bottom slices of bread were soaked through and just a wet mess. Even if i took this back to the office I would have had to eat it with a knife and fork because that sauce would be everywhere. It wasnt just a little too much. It was a ridiculous amount. But i know why. The sliced beef was DRY. Sure it had a good smoke ring and the bark had a decent flavor, but the pieces i pulled off and shook sauce off of were void of any moisture other than the actual sauce. The sauce wasnt even good. Very thin and watery. I couldnt put my finger on it but it had a sort of vinegary punch that wasnt pleasant at all. I am convinced it was thin and poured in excess to try and soak into, and mask the dry beef. Theres no other legit explanation for doing that. Serving $8 sandwiches on white bread is also a pet peave of mine. Thats what a hustler with a run down bbq trailer does in a strip club parking lot at 1:30 am. Not an established “legendary” bbq restaurant. At least a legit bun would have fended off some of the sauce for a little bit. To top it off, when we finished eating, i had to haul a gallon of bbq sauce in a paper bag off to the gas station trash and hope it didnt spill because there wasnt a trash can anywhere in sight. Not in the parking lot or out front. Which really made me question why there were so many flies around. Seriously- the flies when we ordered were BAD, but they were out in the lot too. Not worth a second trip, or a first one if you have taste buds or wearing nice clothes you dont want sauce on.

Dr Freeze Inc – Ice Cream Truck, Ice Cream Shop in Lakeland FL – Menu with Prices – 1732 Olive St, Lakeland

Now named ” Subzero Ice Cream ” I wouldn’t suggest working there unless you wanna f*** the owners son in order the keep your job. He hits you up in the middle of the night asking you to come in and “clean” but when you refuse to he gets upset and gives your truck to someone else. He asks to buy drugs off you and when your gonna hangout with him! I refuse to be taking advantage of so I lost my job today. Ice cream is kept in dirty freezers and there are roaches in some of the trucks and they say ” well this is Florida” the drinks sit in dirty coolers with week old water unless you change it yourself because they don’t wanna spend money on it. I had to spray my truck everyday in order to keep the bugs out because they don’t wanna keep up on them. If you wanna buy ice cream for your kids I suggest you don’t do it here unless you want people without back ground checks with charges on them being around your children , people piss in cups on the truck because they don’t wanna go stop somewhere to go because they’ll lose money ahah this place is a joke. Don’t waste your time here the owners son names is Brandon Morris

Floridino’s Pizza & Pasta – Menu with Prices – 590 N Alma School Rd #35, Chandler

Review #300 Florindino’s was one of the first places I ate at when I moved to Chandler in 2006. I was instantly hooked on not only the great food, but their great lunch special prices! The calzones are huge and the pizza is good! But the must-have is always the pizza muffins. I’ll never forget recommending a friend try them and she text me back with “Pizza Muffins have changed my life!” Florindino’s opened back in the 90’s and are a neighborhood favorite. They are family friendly and do lots for the local community. Because they are just a mile down the road from me, I do lots of take-outs. The service is quick and friendly. The menu consists of pizza, stuffed calzones, pasta and salads. But the must-try is their renowned pizza muffins and the Sicilian Sundae. The pizza muffins are so popular that they even have a food truck that just serves them at local events. The Sicilian Sundae is a good-sized baked chocolate chip cookie with ice cream on top. Floridino’s has nightly specials in addition to their lunch and happy hour specials. Lunch specials start at around $5 and Sunday nights you can grab a large one-item pizza for $8. They have a senior night, family night and a kids-eat-free night as well. You can’t beat the great deals! I just recently attended their Pizza Muffin and Beer (from San Tan Brewery) night in their banquet room. They rolled out some new pizza muffins paired with a craft beer and each one of them were delicious. It was a fun event and I enjoyed chatting it up with other long-time Florindino’s regulars. I highly recommend a stop in if you are in the area.

Banded Oak Brewing Company – Menu with Prices – 470 Broadway, Denver

I hate to be a brewery bummer as I know how much love every brewery/beer is made with, but this one just didn’t do it for me. Was it bad? Certainly not, but in Colorado, you’ve got to be fantastic to hang! It was a chilly afternoon so we were inside the small unremarkable taproom. The beer was fine- I had the porter and my friend had the saison, but nothing I’m craving/remembering later. The guy who was pouring was plenty friendly. I appreciated the $1 off for happy hour. Maybe I’d like this place more if the weather was good and the patio was open and there were more people or live music or something. I do appreciate that there’s a parking lot, so if you just wanna quick drink before dinner that’s helpful. If you’re doing a brewery tour of Broadway you might stop here, but there are many more unique spots (both in atmosphere and brews) along this street.
