I’m giving Federico’s 5 stars — only because I could not give 6! Tonight was our first time there, but it won’t be the last. We met friends and had a 6:30 reservation. We arrived 15 minutes early, and were shown to a table right away, brought freshly-baked bread and had time to peruse our beverage options, plus got to chat with Rico, one of the owner/brothers. Mike wanted beer and was given samples to pick just the right one. I had white wine sangria — this was some of the best I’ve ever had, with many chunks of fruit, and just the right level of sweetness. All 4 of us were thrilled with everything we ordered. We started off sharing an entree of the crab ravioli as an appetizer — the lobster sauce was out of this world! We used more bread to soak up every last drop of that sauce — too good to waste. Other items ordered were the champagne chicken, the lobster bisque soup, pork chop, and risotto with chicken and vegetables. We wound up tasting each other’s food, because as each person took a bite of their order, they would say “oh, this is amazing, you must taste it.” The menu says they need 20 minutes to prepare the lobster bisque, and it was soooooo worth the wait! Delicious, flaky pastry crust atop a huge bowl of soup. The risotto was mine and I was not very happy about giving up tastes to everyone else, because I was already thinking ahead to how delicious the leftovers would be for tomorrow’s lunch. Portions were ample, you can easily consider sharing an entree between 2 people if you get appetizers and/or salad. We really wanted dessert but were stuffed, so that provided easy motivation to return soon (as if we will need motivation…). If we didn’t already have plans for tomorrow night, I’d be considering it. I thought the ambiance was charming — eclectic artwork, including pirate statues, paintings, and more. Great background music. The lighting was down low, which made for a very cozy experience, although my husband did use his cell phone to light up the menu ? That’s a teeny-tiny inconvenience that was far, far outweighed by the exceptional food, drinks, and service. We will definitely return and I’m just kicking myself for not going there sooner. It’s fairly small, so make a reservation, because as the word gets around, it will be harder to get in!

The Lost Cajun Menu with Prices 2401 I-40 Frontage Rd, Amarillo

Yummy, Yummy & Yummy~ This restaurant is amazing and I look forward to trying everything on their menu. On your 1st visit they bring out a sample platter with some of their most popular dishes. It is a great way to try something before ordering it, but not knowing whether or not you will like it. I personally LOVE their Red Beans & Rice and the Lobster Bisque. It is the best Lobster Bisque I’ve had since I left Connecticut. They serve the Lobster Bisque with garlic bread; which is good, but I do prefer my garlic bread toasted until it has some brown on it. I’ll be sure to request this next time I order the Lobster Bisque. The Beignets are awesome and we couldn’t stop eating them. I look forward to coming into the restaurant and enjoying food and some cocktails. We haven’t been able to do that yet. We’ve been here twice and both times our Servers were friendly and very accommodating. Keep up the great work!!

Ti Amo Ristorante Italiano – Menu with Prices – 6024 S Sheridan Rd A, Tulsa

My wife and I were celebrating our wedding anniversary and were in Tulsa for Scotfest 2019. We have been to the downtown location a couple times and just loved it. But since we were at the Windham hotel for the festival, I found this location was closer. Anyway, we shared a caprese salad, a bowl of lobster bisque (which is a MUST HAVE at this restaurant) and the meat ravioli. The portions are generous. I always have a hard time deciding what was the best meals we eat Ti Amo’s. But to be honest, I always go back to the lobster bisque. This ain’t no thin Red Lobster soup where you have to really search to find the lobster! Every spoon full of bisque has lobster in it at Ti Amo’s!! The ravioli and salad were both awsome as well. They serve you bruschetta first, then the salad, then the main course and with it some out of this world bread! Like I said, my wife and I both shared the salad, soup, ravioli, and a piece of phenomenal NY style cheesecake. We were both stuffed, and we had some bisque left over to bring home. This is a nice restaurant. But if you want a more quaint setting, I would pick the downtown setting. But this location has just as good of food as the downtown. It just isn’t as quiet than this one. The service is always excellent at these restaurants. Bottom line is, if you love Italian food, this is THE 2 restaurants in town to go to!!!!

Willie?s Sushi Bar & Bistro Menu with Prices 5030 Champion Blvd #G8, Boca Raton

We’ve had two more meals over past couple weeks. Both were good meals in whole. The rainbow roll and lobster roll are my addictions here and were was fresh and delicious. The lobster bisque was on point again. My hubbys yellowtail dinner was over cooked and a bit rubbery but still a fresh piece of fish. Service is friendly and efficient. What an excellent meal we had! I was I. The mood for sushi and hubby wasn’t. Since this is an eclectic menu that has both a nice selection of sushi choices as well as other choices of seafood, pastas, steak and chicken. I had tuna as my appetizer, it was delicious. A large portion of thinly sliced raw tuna with a light Asian ponzu sauce. Hubby had the lobster bisque, he said it was good, maybe not quite as rich as others he’s had but he still enjoyed and finished the cup of soup. I had the rainbow roll which was delicious and I also had a roll off the menu of yellowtail and tuna that was simple and delicious. They were big and next time I’ll get just one as I was stuffed. Hubby had mahi-mahi perfectly cooked and very moist. The zucchini veggies were perfect side. I had a strawberry sake that was sweet and delicious. The meal was right under $100 and we left satisfied and looking forward to returning. Next time we’ll save room for dessert. Service was attentive and friendly. The music was a lovely soft jazz and not too loud which we appreciated. I can’t wait to return

Nick & Nino’s Penthouse Steakhouse – Menu with Prices – 700 E Adams St Fl 30, Springfield

The evening I went to Nick and Nino’s was the day my partner and I took our nuptials. We didn’t do a traditional ceremony and reception, we simply made the day and night, all about us. We wanted it to be special and romantic and ours. So we dressed up for the day, married at the courthouse, followed by a professional photo shoot, and then dinner at Nick and Nino’s. I did call ahead because I know the restaurant is an intimate space with limited seating. I wanted to ensure there was no room for rejection or a long wait upon our arrival. Once we arrived, we were seated near a window and the sun had begun to set. Our server Rick R. was very attentive and knowledgeable about their wines and the menu. He was professional, sociable and engaging. He was an absolute gem. We sampled three wines before we bought a bottle of wine. Since it had been a really long day and we planned spend our evening at this location we ordered two appetizers and to accompany our drink. We had the firecracker shrimp and the Spicy Calamari. Both were an absolute mouthwatering pleasure. We sat and took in the view, the soft classical jazz and enjoyed each minute of the night. After some time we ordered the soup over salad and had the lobster bisque. The bisque was flavorful and spicy. I had never had a lobster bisque with a spicy heat but it was absolutely delightful. We were pleased to be at Nick & Nino’s as it was the perfect ending to such a days activities. My spouse said multiple times , Victoria, you did good, this place is great, this place is perfect, this place, this place, this place. It warmed my heart the she enjoyed it so. And I agree it was very romantic and pleasurable. It was the ideal location. The service and food were so good exceptional. To the point that she compared it to dinner in downtown Chicago. Anyway, we had a total of four courses. Following the soup we ordered an entree to share. We had a surf and turf, Ribeye steak on the bone, medium with grilled lobster and asparagus with hollandaise sauce, which we had to pack up about half of because even trying to share one entree became difficult to finish by this point. We’d had two appetizers, soup, an entree and a bottle of wine. But for us the night wasn’t over. We sat and we talked and gazed out the window on occasion and often at each other before we ordered coffee and two desserts, the key lime pie and the apple pie cheesecake, for inability to just choose one. And again we packed up most of the dessert to take home. We had a great three and a half hour visit with Rick at Nick & Nino’s. We spoke with manager to compliment the server, the chef, and the pastry chef. We commented on ambiance and the competitiveness of the establishment with other places in larger cities. I’d recommend Nick & Nino’s as a follow up to any special event.

Mason’s Famous Lobster Rolls – Menu with Prices – 4121 Main at North Hills St #100, Raleigh

Was at a conference in the Renaissance Hotel which finished at lunchtime, as and I was walking back to my car, I noticed Mason’s, so I thought I’d give it a try. Since I’ve lived between Providence RI and Boston MA (and so I’m familiar with good lobster rolls), I decided to grab a cup of lobster bisque and a Connecticut roll. The service was excellent – friendly, willing to help, wanting everyone to be happy. The table layout was a nice bright, clean vibe so it was definitely a neat place to stop for a quick lunch. The cup of bisque was just a hint salty for my liking, but it was good, although I would have liked a few chunks of lobster in it (I noticed they charge extra for adding lobster pieces to the bisque for bowl orders, but not for a cup, which was disappointing given I simply didn’t want a whole bowl). The Connecticut roll was excellent. There was loads of very tasty lobster overflowing out of it and the buttered roll was exactly what a great lobster roll should be. Very tasty indeed. I did get an organic root beer too (sold by the bottle) which went with it nicely. I thought it was a bit pricey, but the food was overall very good and I walked out feeling like I’d had a good lunch which was very authentic and tasty!

The Shrimp Dock ? Farragut, TN – Menu with Prices – 11124 Kingston Pike, Knoxville

My first visit to this store was the day it opened. Captain Paul had it totally on point. Being from California and being used to fresh seafood, I was thrilled. My late husband and I were there every single week to find so much fresh fish. Not only shrimp and 4 kinds of salmon (which is all about they carry now), but grouper, fresh catfish, halibut cheeks (wonderful for fish tacos), mahi, several types of fresh fish, but their bisque was to DIE FOR. I was craving lobster bisque yesterday. i paid $15 for what could probably pass as tomato bisque. No chunks of lobster, not lobster taste, only fish stock taste. I will most likely ever cross their doors again. Shame on them for destroying what Captain Paul started as the place i looked forward to visiting every week and being welcomed with open arms.

Cousins Maine Lobster Raleigh – Menu with Prices – 411 W Morgan St, Raleigh

I was really looking forward to eating this tonight after seeing them on Shark Tank as well as the giant line their food truck has had at a few of the Raleigh food truck events. Between the 3 of my family members we ordered a Maine lobster roll, lobster tacos combo with tots, shrimp tacos, lobster bisque, 1 water and 1 lemonade. Total came to $55.48. The woman who took our order was friendly. This was really a mixed review of the food. I tasted all that was ordered to sample. The highlight was the lobster bisque. Very smooth consistency, great flavor and had a few pieces of chopped lobster mixed in. The lobster tacos were good as well, topped with fresh pico. The most lackluster item was unfortunately the one I personally ordered which was the cold lobster roll. The bun was nicely toasted with the perfect amount of butter to not be greasy. The lobster itself was cooked well, but really lacked seasoning. What surprised me most though was that it appeared to have no mayonnaise. The first few bites I took I didn’t taste any…then I realized it was globed on the bottom of the bun and the lobster placed on top. I hate to say it, but it was rather unappetizing (see pic). My suggestion would be for the lobster to be mixed with a seasoned mayonnaise mixture and also to throw on some traditional celery leaves. The slaw had potential, but really lacked seasoning as well. Lastly, the shrimp tacos, like the lobster ones, had great flavor. They were loaded, but with TINY shrimp. My husband agreed he would’ve rather had 5-6 medium/large shrimp to actually have something to bite in to, rather than several extra small shrimp.

Alive & Kicking Lobsters – Menu with Prices – 269 Putnam Ave, Cambridge

I just couldn’t let summer end without another lobster roll. Stopped by Alive & Kicking last week with an out of town friend who demanded New England-style seafood. I heard good thing about this place and wanted to give it a try (to kill two birds or something like that). This place did not disappoint! Loved the lobster sandwich. Generous serving of lobster in the sandwich. Loved how I got more lobster than bread. Don’t know how I can ever go back to eating it in a roll. The lobster bisque was flavorful and tasty. Could really tell it was made that day. The clam chowder didn’t disappoint. Super fresh and a really-true-to-its-roots clam chowder. There’s outdoor seating and a couple of off street parking spaces. They did have a smaller seating area in a makeshift shack. It was on the pricey side ($31 in all) and the soups were smaller portions than I would have liked for $6 plus bucks. Lobster sandwich was better value, even if the price is comparable or a little more than some places. You just get so much lobster! But hey, its a small business and I’m sure the taxes are high. Is it worth trekking out to this side of Cambridge to eat? Maybe not, but I would definitely eat a lobster sandwich here again if I was close by.

Tuscany Market Cafe Menu with Prices 28017 Mill Creek Ave, Alpharetta

I used to be what you’d call a regular at this place. For a while I would take my girlfriend or family members or friends here, or just by myself 1,2 even 3 times a week sometimes. Great cozy atmosphere, delightful selection of creative dishes and sandwiches. So why the middling review? They used to also have a variety of delightful soups from one day to the next; an incredible mushroom soup, country bean, split pea … you name it. But in the past 10 months, and maybe its just bad luck, but almost every single time I come theres one and only one choice: Tomato Bisque. Nothing wrong with it per-se, but I’m not a fan of tomato bisque soup, and now that seems like the only choice they have any time I come. I got into the habit of calling beforhand to see what their soup of the day was, and yep you guessed it, almost every time the answer was tomato bisque. Maybe a lot of people like it, and thats fine, but there used to be a great variety from day to day. Seems like they decided since a lot of people like their bisque they would just make that and almost nothing else? Either way, because of that, I rarely go there or even think about going there anymore. After 4 months of not going there I went in today and asked what kind of soup they had today and the waitress said those all too familar words yet again. Dear Tuscany Bistro, I used to love ya, but you wore me out with the relentless Tomato Bisque soup.

The Crooked Shillelagh – Menu with Prices – 3340 Tamiami Trail E, Naples

This is one of the best restaurants I’ve ever been to. My boyfriend’s mom was born in Ireland, and the both of us decided to try this place last night to see if it would be up to her standards so we can take her here when she comes down to visit us in two weeks. We were blown away by the food as well as the service. Darcy was our waitress and she was phenomenal. She was so sweet, attentive, and pleasant to talk with. Our food was fresh, delicious, and tasted amazing. I got the lamb and barley soup as an appetizer and the bangers and mash for my entree. My boyfriend got the lobster bisque as an appetizer and the lamb as an entree. We’d highly recommend everything we ordered. We moved to the bar after dinner and had a great time chatting with their lovely bartender, Gidget. We even got to meet the owner and his wife and they are such kind, genuine people and I am happy to give my business to them. I would give this place 10 stars if I could. I find it funny that some people are saying it’s too pricey. This isn’t Olive Garden! This is real, made from scratch Irish cuisine. It’s worth every penny and I cannot wait to go back and try another dish. You will not be disappointed if you choose to eat here. It’s truly a gem.

BLU Plate Menu with Prices 45 E Market St, Akron

Valentines Day dinner: Wings and french fries. . 6:30 Arrived on time for our reservation at Blu Plate, seated after 10 minutes. Ok so far. . 6:55 Took over 20 minutes for our drinks. We were suprised and disapponted that the menu shown on their website was not available and was replaced with a special Valentines Day menu. Today the website is still advertising the regular menu not the Valentines Day menu. Two couples left because of this misleading advertising. The manager said ‘Oh, we have been advertising the Valentines menu all week’. Turns out you had to visit Facebook to see it. We selected the Blu Plate because of the website menu and thought it would be convenient as we had show tickets. . 7:10 We ordered: Lobster Bisque, Ravioli, 6oz fillet (even though we were told it could take up to 25 minutes to cook ‘because it is a very thick 6oz cut’??.. 7:35 Inquired about our order and the bisque. Told us he would check.. 7:40 Brought the bisque: advertised as having Baked Lobster, it did: two pieces, one the size of a pencil eraser the other about 1/3 that size. . 7:45 Inquired about our order. Told it would be ‘out soon’. . 7:50 Served my wifes meal: Ravoli; it was cool and not at all at serving temperature and the sweet potato puree was already dried out around the edges, no offer to replace it. The manager said ‘you’re not going to eat this? No offer to do anything to correct it. My meal was now ‘in process’, whatever that means. . 7:55 My meal still in limbo, my wife’s cold meal was now even more unappetizing, and was told ‘soon, you meal will be ready.. 7:56 Cancelled our order. Waiter asked if we wanted ‘to go box’s to take home and eat’? He was sure the steak would be out very soon.. 8:00 Paid our check and went downstairs to the club for the show.. One of the more distressing aspects of this visit (our first and last at this point) is that the manager who was informed of our problem, never offered an apology or was in any way empathetic. Her attitude clearly was that she couldn’t care less.. So, our Valentines Day meal was in the club and ended up being an order of wings and fries. The wings were very bland and served without any dipping sauce. We ordered mild sauce. To their credit, the fries were hot and served with ketchup. . We agreed that this was a story that we would laugh about in the future because it is so bizarre. We also will share our story with our friends.

Great Divide Brewing Company – Menu with Prices – Gates, Denver International Airport C, Denver

The food here tastes dismal. It might help if you drank some beer so your taste buds are drunk too but with two kids while waiting for a transit flight at 2pm, we didn’t order drinks and boy was the food bad. We ordered the roast turkey sandwich that came with fries and a coleslaw in a container the size of a sauce cup, the chicken entree with risotto, and some bison chilli cheese fries. First off, the chicken entree is $20. It came with a piece of chicken so dry I couldn’t chew it without drinking water. The children completely rejected it as they couldn’t bite it (My 4 year old and 1.5 year old eat chicken often). It was charred on one side and tasted like burned, dry meat. Do not order. The risotto that came with the chicken was the most tasteless I have ever had. It was neither salty nor flavored with the mushroom it contained. I don’t even like salt but I hated the idea of wasting $20 and tried to add salt, pepper and some of the bison chilli cheese sauce to make it possibly edible. I failed and most of it did not get eaten. My husband’s sandwich has the dryest turkey meat I have had in my life. It was so dry it made my mouth feel furry. The only competition it had was with the dry chicken. Redeeming factor was the mayo in the sandwich. Fries were edible. The bison chilli cheese fries were edible. Not great, but compared to the other food, edible. Do not dine here. McDonald’s from the same airport cannot be worse. If you want bad food, don’t come here because it’s worse than bad. Oh, yeah, the server had something on her mind. Four people at the table, she brought two sets of cutlery, two cups of water. Kids need neither utensils and plates not water. Spoon to eat risotto with never came. Don’t eat here.
