I think I found my new coffee stand. My regular stand, which has not so friendly employees and slow service but really good coffee raised the prices substantially a few weeks ago. While I understand this, it was the breaking point for tolerating the service. I’ve tried a few other stands, and its all been ok- ok service, ok coffee. I’m glad I stopped in to this stand though. Fair prices, reasonable service time, and very friendly barista. That would have been enough for me to come back, but the coffee wasn’t just ok, it was really good! Good service + Good coffee= happy customer. Ill definitely be back!

Le Gourmet Grind – Menu with Prices – 13027 19th Ave SE, Everett

Came here today with my cousin after we had just gone to the second Buffalo Stand near Penny Creek Elementary and were disappointed with our Lucky Charms. I think our barista there forgot to put any syrup in it so it tasted like your typical bitter coffee which I nor my cousin like. The spot itself is a bit odd and is on a higher plane so it’s a bit awkward driving up. The barista here was very friendly and we asked her to throw out our coffees from the other stand and she asked us why we’re getting so many coffees. We told her how we were just coming from another stand where we didn’t like how they turned out. She made us our drinks and though it was ten times better than the other stand, it still tasted just a bit odd but it wasn’t a big deal. After hearing our story, she even docked off .50 cents from our order and honestly, though that’s a small amount, we were honestly so surprised (in a good way) and so thankful to her. It made me tip 30% just because of her friendliness and great service. I will be coming here again soon for a coffee or Redbull run and hope to get the same service from whoever may be working that day.

Porto Rico Importing – Menu with Prices – 201 Bleecker St, New York

I would have give this coffee shop 5 stars. They put 4 express shot in my $4 ice latte. It was the best ice latte I ever had. However, the customers service is surprisingly awful. I would give them 0 star for customer service. Their so called baristas is the worst I have ever seen. The barista is even worse than the ones who work in Starbucks. I am not sure they are even qualified as a barista. I was taking photo of my coffee. The barista got freak out and said don’t take pictures of him and told me to delete from my phone. I don’t know who he think he is because I was taking photo of the “coffee”. Just like the other reviewers on yelp, this coffee shop has 0 customers service even they have great coffee. They’re very unlike other coffee shop. First, They don’t offer a comfortable environment for you to stay. No seats inside of course. Apparently they want the customers to pay the money and go away. Second, this place is not credit card friendly unlike other coffee shops in the city. They have old fashioned machines. They prefer cash. Third, the environment is dirty. You can actually see the dusts around the cashier area. The only good thing about this coffee shop is the good coffee with cheap price. I would still come to here next time but I would just close my eyes and ignore everything and get my coffee out of here.

Dreamboyz Espresso – Menu with Prices – 324 Broadway E, Seattle

Of course Dreamboyz is great! It has topless and somewhat bikini clad guys serving you the coffee! This little shop is more of a stand and we weren’t too sure where to order since some restaurants really frown upon ordering on foot where customers in their cars make their order but that wasn’t an issue and we placed our order at the drive up window. We didn’t see a posted menu and was told one hasn’t yet made it up but the barista had no problem cranking out two Vanilla Lattes for us. I’m really excited that a topless male coffee shop opened and it really is appropriately placed in Capital Hill… that’s for sure. Several years ago there was one coffee shop in Port Orchard at one point and another topless guy coffee stand in Spokane but alas those two are defunct and we never made it to them. Glad we finally got that experience with Dreamboyz!

Yote Social Lab – Menu with Prices – 333 Grandville Ave SW, Grand Rapids

Stopped in for the first time today on my way out from Founder’s and wow! What a beautiful and trendy coffee shop. They have some food and affordable prices. Plenty of seating as well! Fridays they have $1 drinks if you get the app apparently which is really awesome. Best thing I noticed was how friendly the barista was. Will definitely be back! Very cool place and I’m impressed!

Stars & Stripes Espresso – Menu with Prices – 9122 Evergreen Way #7118, Everett

I stopped by there a couple weeks ago and the girl that was helping me was Katrina I was not happy with her service I ordered a 32 ounce strawberry Redbull Italian soda with no creams whatsoever I told her no ice she still put ice in it and then she got an attitude when I told her I didn’t want any ice that’s not my fault you weren’t listening and obviously you have a hard time multitasking with two customers so she took the ice out of it but there was still like 25 to 30% of emptiness in my cup she could’ve gave me more strawberry or more club soda or something how are you just going to charge me seven or eight dollars for that big ass cup and it’s like empty and you’re gonna tell me that’s how it goes that’s bullshit I don’t appreciate that whatsoever I did call back two days after I visited there and spoke to another female forgot her name I ask her to remake my drink because I wasn’t happy with the way the other girl made it and then this girl made it the same way I went to a store and bought another Redbull to top off my drink I just won’t ever return to this coffee stand and I making the word go around that this coffee stand sucks the girls that work there just rude and they don’t really give a shit about your drinks all they want is tips I don’t think so! Not a happy customer I’ll never be back!

Blissful Blends – Menu with Prices – 8625 N Nevada St, Spokane

If you want to go to a coffee stand with amazing coffee EVERY TIME, this is the place. Every one of the girls will become your friend, some of them will become family. This is not just my experience, as they treat every single customer like VIP’s. The one problem is the owner. She raises prices often, charging $0.25 for things that should be free, such as light ice, half n half, or extra flavoring syrup. She also changed the schedule so that there is often only one girl at the stand, which can prove problematic during busy afternoon rushes. Regardless, the girls deserve a chance to win you over, so please give this stand a chance! The coffee is uniform at all of the locations, but the ladies at Manesium & Nevada are THE BEST!!!

Relámpago Coffee Lab – Menu with Prices – 74 Spanish St, St. Augustine

Relampago Coffee Lab has a lot going for it. The location is remarkably beautiful, tucked away in the backstreets of historic St. Augustine. It has a desirably modern yet old town charm that makes it so easy to spend time at. The barista was friendly, but she was working solo and was in a rush. Fair prices. A rare automatic pour over machine churned out their own roasted single origins. Novel idea that helps multitasking, but I feel defeats the purpose of having high end roasted coffee. I would expect them to treat the brew craft with as much love and attention as the roasting. For this I am disappointed. The Ethiopian I had was good; a light bodied clean blueberry graham coffee. I stated that it was ‘for here’ and got a paper to-go cup, which I normally wouldn’t mind if it were lesser coffee, but it distorts the notes. I wanted to carefully taste everything this cup had to offer. If it wasn’t for the barista being so rushed I would have asked for a ceramic cup. I’m easy going so I decided to let it slide and head out back to relax on the deck. My wife got the iced coconut mocha; she enjoyed it but liked it better from Kookaburra. Overall, would recommend, but certainly don’t make this your only coffee stop in town!

Julian’s BBQ – Menu with Prices – 1818 Baldwin Blvd, Corpus Christi

Writing this review with 2 Stars … As a Texan, and a self proclaimed professional bbq judge, I know my bbq, so let’s see how Julian’s stands up against Mr. Texas’ Food Judging Scale … Came here with a coworker who said they had good bbq, well it’s more like fair bbq. They do have reasonable prices, but I was shocked to see they charge .60¢ for a jalapeño !!! This my friend is an “Unforgivable Texas Sin” !!! Jalapeños should be FREE !!! So minus 1 Star for charging for jalapeños. I ordered the brisket plate which came with two sides. I got green beans and potato salad, both were good. The brisket is fair, meaning it needs some help or some sauce, it’s not a stand alone eat by itself brisket, so it’s a 2 Star brisket. Folks, their brisket is nothing to get excited about, or brag about, or even rate an OMG comment. What about their bbq sauce ??? Their bbq sauce downright sucks, so it can’t help the brisket, so minus 1 Star for horrible sauce. Just a word of caution, the sauce bottles are open containers and flies can crawl into these openings, so be aware. More on flies ??? Yes … I know this is Texas, and I’m a Native Texan, bred, born, and raised, but the flies were hungry too !!! We spent more time swishing away flies between bites so we couldn’t even enjoy our meal. The dining area was about half full, and when I looked around, we were all doing the same synchronized dance, Shoo Fly Shoo !!! So minus 1 Star for the infestation of flies in the dining area. If I did my math correctly, yep I did, it’s a 2 Star review, and the 2 Stars are for serving fair brisket. If you want great Texas BBQ, this ain’t the place to get it, but if you want fair Texas BBQ while fightin’ off flies, then this is the place for you !!! That’s all I’ve got to say about that.

Kahwa Coffee – Menu with Prices – 701 6th St S, St. Petersburg

I’ll give this tiny coffee bar at the hospital a 5/5 because it’s convenient, the coffee is good, the barista is nice, and the caffeine in their coffee does the job. +3 stars- yummy coffee. Their coffee is not the best that I have had but it is delicious and it is good. It does not have any after taste and it is smooth. They also have daily offers and happy hour. I don’t remember what exactly it was but I remember 50% off pastries after 3pm. +1 star – convenient for me because we spend a lot of our time at the hospital and it is easy to just go to this location and have a yummy hot cup of coffee to get through the 12 hour shift and the cold hospital environment. If you are at Bayfront and you need some coffee, definitely come here! +1 star – nice barista. The barista who works here is nice. She does her best to accommodate us even if she is working by herself. She also let us know that there is 10% off with a USF ID so if you have a USF ID don’t forget to avail this offer. LOCATION: it is inside the West Entrance of Bayfront. You can park in their parking garages or the 2 hour curb parking. Overall, they have good and yummy coffee. I suggest that you try their coffee.

Coffee Junction Menu with Prices 401 Harris Ave, Bellingham

The worst customer service I’ve ever had anywhere. I am not a complainer or even a fussy customer, but wow, for the first time ever I really was so pissed and offended. We got coffee here before our train trip. There was one barista; she was alone and busting her ass, so I gave her a 40% tip. After taking a couple sips of my coffee and having to open it and check to see if there was actually espresso shots in it (or if maybe she had forgotten them) AND having my sister taste it to see if I was just being a coffee snob, I brough it back to the barista to see if I could get a new drink, because mine tasted like water. She extremely rude and defensively said “it’s an americano… it has water in it.” I very politely explained, “yes, but it doesnt taste like coffee at all.” At this point she stopped making eye contact with me, said “what do you want?” Trying to not to be ‘that customer’ I asked for a drip, thinking that was a good deal because it was half the price. She didnt even respond to me, as she got it. I asked if it was ok if I still get a pump of hazelnut in it. She said “yup” still not looking at me, put the pump and a lid on it, handing it to me, I said thank you, then she told me it would be $1.90. This is where I started to get pissed. Clearly confused and upset I said “I’m sorry, you’re going to charge me…?” In a super condescending voice she laughed our, ” I cant just give you free coffee.” (Which she had literally just done, topping off the mans cup, in front of me). I tossed my card on the counter. She ran it and had the nerve to toss it back. I didnt have the time or restraint to give her a piece of my mind so I left. I will NEVER get coffee here again. Not because their coffee is gross, but because I have never experienced such hostility from someone when I’m nicely and apologetically asking for a replacement for an item I PAID FOR. Luckily all the train employees were fantastically nice and really redeemed the experience. But wow.

Woodvale Pizza & Steak – Hillview Pub – Menu with Prices – 311 Woodvale Rd W, Edmonton

I go to Hillview Pub for karaoke on Friday nights usually. I gave this place two stars and the only reason it gets two stars is because of the clientele. The clientele there is usually the same people and they’re all very friendly, laid-back people that are easy to hang out with. The reason this place could have no stars would be the service. There are two people who ever work the bar and they are both not great servers. Okay, to be fair, it can be pretty busy there and when only one of them is working they’re running around like a chicken with her head cut off. However, God forbid, you go from drinking booze to wanting coffee, they will actually complain about having to go make coffee. Also, I went from running a tab to paying in cash because I was frequently charged for drinks that I did not order. Now, what can give this place one star is that the prices there are quite reasonable. As for the food however, unless you order pizza, french fries, or onion rings, you don’t want to eat there. I, however, will not be returning to Hillview because of last night. When I wanted coffee after I’d had several drinks the server complained to me about having to make it. I didn’t ask her for free coffee, I was a paying customer, so that rudeness was completely unjustified.

Momentum Coffee – Menu with Prices – 3555 Rayford Rd #10, Spring

This place is a must EVERY time I come home to visit. The coffee is great and the food is great. Except today….hence the 3 star review. Customer service. I walk in and they have ONE person running the counter, drive thru and producing drinks. I get it’s a Tuesday and business can be slow during midweek and one person running the whole show can slide. I know how it gets, Ive been a barista. So, I’m patient. But, when the poor girl has a line of 5 deep, 2 cars in drive thru, and still has to make drinks for patrons who previously ordered….shes going to need help. What got me heated was while all of this was happening, there are 3 Owners(I sure hope it wasnt), managers or employees sitting in the corner chatting(or having a mtg….frankly, as a customer, dont know, dont care) and seeing their girl starting to drown, do absolutely nothing. Yet, one of the guys in a tie dye shirt just keeps glancing over at the line as it builds, still do…..wait for it…. nothing. He finally decides to make moves and help the poor girl after I was giving him a stare down. Then the dude finally walks up, asks if I’m waiting for drinks or food, I needed to step to the side counter. I told him that I was actually waiting to be helped and he rudely replied, “Well….I’m right here” DONT ever talk to a customer in that manner or tone. Customer Service is what keeps what makes a business thrive. There are plenty of coffee shops around here but Great customer service is what makes customers return for your coffee. That’s why I kept coming back. I hope the next time I’m in town the customer service is better.
