Been eating at Dilla’s for a couple years now. Regularly. Over the last month the quality has taken a nose dive. My favorite menu item is the Buffalo Bacon. Today, was the final straw. It came out cold. There was not even enough cheese to hold the ingredients inside the tortilla (so when you pick it up everything spills out forcing you to eat your “quesadilla” with a fork like it’s a salad). There was barely any buffalo sauce, and the amount of bacon included felt purposely spiteful – like they know I love bacon and wanted to sprinkle enough to let me know that they didn’t forget to include it, but were only going to give me enough that it’s presence felt accidental. The jalepeno ranch was frozen. Literally. Half of it was a block. They don’t care about your food when you bring things to their attention, and contacting them online is a waste of time also. For over $10 for a tortilla, a little effort or the slightest care would be nice.

Home Pie Bakery & Cafe – Menu with Prices – 1910 S Archibald Ave, Ontario

I came in here 7/29 today at 11 to buy some 3 pot pies. Upon arrival the cashier was mumbling under her breath and acting annoyed with me because she was trying to sell me a beef stew pot pie that was burnt. I politely asked her to switch it out for a less over cooked one and she sassed me. She then packs me too more chicken and vegetable pot pies that are under cooked and soft. This lady is obviously annoyed with me so I just let her pack the other two without saying anything. I pay 20 bucks and then check them in my car. The two chicken pot pies are soft and doughy. I go back in and ask them to switch it out for ones that are actually cooked. Again i asked politely. The owner comes out. These ladies are so offended that i want to switch out these two pies that are obviously doughy and under cooked. Literally they took it so personally. These ladies are yelling back and forth at each other and are angry at me refusing to switch out these undercooked pies I paid 20 bucks for. I then ask the owner can she just put it back in the oven and then she refuses and only switches out one pie. How can you be so rude and unprofessional? Never did they apologize for the quality of pies and the whole time they’re acting angry at me while I’m trying to be polite to these older ladies. I used to come here 3 years ago and the ladies were nice and the pot pies were delicious. Now these women are spiteful, rude, and these pot pies are inconsistent quality. Some are burned and some are undercooked and soft and mushy? Who wants to spend money here especially when you guys are so rude and literally yelling at customers just trying to get a pot pie that’s not burned or over cooked. In conclusion I’ve never felt so disrespected. She only switched out one pie and then walked away without apologizing. They were rude and didn’t deserve my money. I don’t even want to eat these pies (which are still over and undercooked). Never coming back here. I say support local businesses but not when they are this rude, emotional, spiteful and UNPROFESSIONAL(to the max and these are older ladies). Never ever coming back

Donut Palace – Menu with Prices – 3300 Western Center Blvd #104, Fort Worth

Donut and kolache shop right by Ace Hardware. Inexpensive and gets the craving satisfied. We paid $10 for two glazed, two chocolate donuts, one ham and cheese croissant, and one Jalepeno pig kolache. I enjoyed the plain glazed donut the most after I microwaved it for 10 seconds. If they had been just out of the fryer, I bet it would have been even better. The chocolate donut was meh. I wouldn’t recommend it unless your kid is insisting. The jalepeno pig kolache was very good. The jalepeno certainly came through. I’m giving three stars because I wasn’t blown away at the taste of the donuts and kolaches, but I would return since it is so close to where I live and is reasonably priced.

Bad Ass Coffee Menu with Prices 400 Gold Ave SW suite 103, Albuquerque

Been working downtown 10 years now. Came in this morning starving since I didn’t have dinner last night. Decided lets try this place out. Took my daughter in with my ordered 2 bacon green chile burritos. I needed a coffee too so the super awesome nice guy at counter showed me the cool coffee menu. Ordered the vanilla coconut blended. I didn’t even glance at the prices. Total order came out to $20. Okay prices aren’t cheap downtown I been knowing this. The coffee drink was very good I got an xtra shot of expresso .81 cents, it helped. The burrito… hmmm so it is like 70 percent tortilla. A thick tortilla wrapped a few times. I literally opened it up and ate the insides with a fork (wanted actual eggs, meat, chile and cheese not just tortilla). Not worth the price. About 15 feet away is another spot that’s cheaper and the burritos are better.

Love Food Central – Menu with Prices – 2057 Central Ave, St. Petersburg

I am a meat eater. An omnivore. A lover of bacon (sorry vegans and vegetarians). However, that is kind of a good thing in this case, because I love Love Food Central. It is absolutely a place that anyone plant based can come with meat eater friends and everyone still enjoy a meal. In fact, if you have omnivore friends who think they could never eat plant based, this is a great first place to bring them to prove them wrong (there are others but this isn’t another business’ yelp page). If you’re a meat eater like me, or a vegetarian or vegan who wants to try to get their friends to try a plant based substitution to a meal every now and then (or more often), then come here and order the buffalo tempeh. They do a buffalo tempeh sandwich, but also a tempeh reuben. However, I go with the veggie wrap and add buffalo tempeh. Its true that this wrap is solely a method to deliver veggies and buffalo sauce to your mouth, but oh my god it is good. The wrap is gluten free, the tempeh is fine – again, its just a protein to cover in buffalo sauce – and the veggies are cooked perfectly, but this wrap brings is all together. Honestly, I have never gotten anything else. I think I tried my fiance’s tempeh reuben once, or maybe it was the buffalo tempeh sandwich or maybe she got the tempeh reuben but with buffalo tempeh. Don’t know. I’m sure it was good. Doesn’t matter. The veggie wrap with buffalo tempeh is hands down one of my favorite sandwiches/wraps on central. Oh yeah, they have a case full of delicious vegan baked desserts – I’ve had cookies and I think cupcakes and loved them. They also do a vegan soft serve ice cream – I can’t remember if its cashew or soy or coconut milk or what, but sometimes its good. Depends on the flavor. They will do an ice cream sandwich with it too. Anyway, desserts are fine to great, but its not why I come here. Veggie wrap. Add buffalo tempeh. You will not regret it. Dog friendly outside tables, too. Picnic tables, but my boy Bruce doesn’t care. Doesn’t have to be fancy as long as he can come. He’s a good boy. So again, my vegan friends, or at least, vegans with whom I have an uneasy truce. I like it here. I like coming here and eating this food. You might be on to something.

The Rooster’s Call – Menu with Prices – 6050 Gull Rd, Kalamazoo

Normally I make my breakfast at home or have a cereal bar. But today some friends wanted us to go out for breakfast. They’ve drive this location many times and wanted to try. So I got to go with them and try it out. As you can tell by the pictures it’s really cute inside. You’re given menus quickly as well. Drink orders are taken first and then you have plenty of time to look at the menu. They serve both breakfast and lunch, so just in case you’re feeling a waffle, or burger. We got a bunch of stuff just to try everything out. Eggs, bacon, and potatoes! I had to be extra since I was really hungry. I got a chocolate banana French toast, egg and bacon on the side, and a club wrap with fries. The French toast was ok, it felt like the chocolate was more bitter like dark chocolate, but it looked milky. The banana saved it though and gave it an even sweetness. As for the club that I also had. I really felt like it was lacking something and I feel like that something was cheese. I’m not really sure if it had cheese on it or it doesn’t come with it. But it certainly needs a cheese to balance out all the meat. Still very good though, best wrap I’ve had in a while! I really wish I got sunny-side up eggs. I got scrambled eggs and no matter where, my scrambled eggs taste like they came from a box. Heartbreaking. But the bacon, is just so bacon, and I LOVE bacon!

Bon Ton Doughnuts – Menu with Prices – 1225 Belt Line Rd #14, Garland

I have been going to Bon Ton Doughnuts since I was a little kid. While I have grown up and lived other places, bon ton is still my favorite doughnut shop. My go-to’s are the chocolate cake sprinkle and a dozen donut holes but everything is pretty good. Definitely get a kolache if you love them and try the frosted sprinkle donut holes if you want something different. ?

Matayo’s Pizza – Menu with Prices – 3701 McKinley Pkwy, Buffalo

If you get stuck in Buffalo on a layover… Come here for pizza, and make it a Matayover! Make sure you try a slice here before your Day’sover! You’ll love it so much you won’t leave Buffalo this evening… You’ll want to Stayover! I was like, why don’t you like pizza, yo? What’s the Mata, yo? And then I brought you here, and then you changed your mind. This is damn amazing pizza! I’m thrilled. It was mall pizza, so I expected it to suck and almost didn’t try it – I mean I don’t pre-judge much, and I’ve had some good Mall pizza before, but nothing that would blow my mind away like a lot of South Buffalo Pizza does. Then I had the buffalo chicken slice here and it was honestly one of the best pizza slices I’ve had in recent years in Buffalo. As far as I would say I would definitely put this place in the top 20 pizzerias in Buffalo and considering that it’s the best local pizza city in the country, alongside Detroit, I would say that’s an amazing achievement for a place in a mall that nobody really goes to and hardly anyone has reviewed. Would it make the top 10? I’ll have to try a few more slices to find out (I’ve since tried the pepperoni and yes, it matches up, yummm) but I think it has a very very good chance. It’s not far off the amazing standard set by Imperial Pizza which is probably the best in the city, just down the road, and it’s actually better than Bella Pizza if my most recent trip there is anything to go by. And the guy is amazingly friendly and the pizza is extremely cheap and the dude even gave me a free blue cheese which he didn’t have to do, and by the way it was for somebody else, I’m not into blue cheese. I was ready to pay for my little extra, so I made sure I gave him a tip, which he didn’t even want to accept, and said he felt bad about. Amazing service and spectacular pizza and to have this place be in or near the top 10 in this city is one of the greatest compliments I could ever give a place.

First Watch – Nicholasville Road – Now Open! – Menu with Prices – 119 W Reynolds Rd, Lexington

Our first visit to the new location off Nicholasville Rd. We arrived about 10:45 am on a Saturday and were told there would be a 25 minute wait. Don’t forget to bring your cell phone when you come because they will text you when your table is ready ( I like this better than carrying around a buzzer). We checked out the menu while we waited, and I will say they do have a lot of choices. My husband decided on The Works omelet and a side of bacon, and he enjoyed it. I had the Chickichanga, which had chicken, chorizo, egg, and avocado wrapped inside a flour tortilla and served with sour cream. I expected Mexican flavors, but it more resembled a chicken pot pie wrapped in a tortilla. Probably not what I would order next time. The seasoned potatoes and fruit which came with my entree were both very good. We also shared some biscuits and gravy, which we both agreed we would not order again, and coffee, which we would also not order again (we didn’t like the taste, sort of bitter or burnt or something). I had to ask two waitresses before I could get a refill on my water, but I will say they were pretty busy. Overall, I still think this is a good choice for breakfast.

Island Wing Company – Menu with Prices – 4100 N Alafaya Trail #107, Orlando

I don’t know what happened, but our second experience was nothing like the first. The first time we went on a Saturday for date night and sat outside. They were pretty busy, but service was great as well as the food. The food didn’t take long to come out, as other reviewers have previously stated. Now on to why I’m giving three stars, which would’ve been less if we didn’t have a good first experience. The second time I brought my girlfriend here during happy hour (3-7 M-F). The place was empty (inside and out). We sat outside and our server was Dusty. He seemed really cool, but as the day went on we saw less and less of him. My friend wanted a fireball shot ($3 during HH), but he had to get a new bottle and since she wanted it chilled we had to wait. I have to say he did give her the little bit that was left in the old bottle, which was nice. While waiting three people sat at the bar. He must’ve completely forgot about us because after her first chilled shot the amount of time it took for her to order another drink was ridiculous. We also ordered a cheese quesadilla of the HH menu. Skip this. Not worth it. Then we got a new server. She was really nice and gave us samples of the wing sauces we requested, but still we were being ignored. I can say the place definitely got busier, but the wait time to ask for refills, etc. was unnecessary. Dusty came by to explain he asked someone new to come over so he could focus on the bar. It was nice of him to let us know, but it would’ve been more appreciated if we received proper service from him in the first place. I got bone out and didn’t care for the lemon pepper buffalo, but the triple garlic buffalo was good until I cut into a piece that wasn’t cooked all the way. There went my appetite. My friend didn’t care for the teriyaki. We both tried a sample and it was sweet, but it was extremely spicy on the wings. Our server agreed the teriyaki tastes a lot spicer on the wings compared to the sample. She offered to make new ones, but we asked for them to be comped and she did so. Also, ALL mac n cheese dishes are on the HH menu too for $6. We were charged the full price $9.95 for the banging buffalo, which we both didn’t care for. A manager came over and fixed the issue. I’m really disappointed because I was excited to bring my friend here, due to our great first experience, but now we won’t be returning.

Fresh Smoothies & Cafe – Menu with Prices – 2450 Creston Ave, The Bronx

I would like to think it was because I came in 15 min to closing but that shouldnt change the attitude that you have towards the customer. I walked in and the ladies were talking they looked at me and continued talking. Very disrespectful didnt get greeted or anything, so I said excuse me and asked for what I wanted. Then I told her ill buy an orange juice aswell only for the simple fact that I wanted to see the machine working she stated that the machine is off and the juice was premade that defeated the purpose of wanting the juice so I didnt get it, but They have a lil process that’s done to meet customers satisfaction they serve you an ounce or 2 of w.e. smoothie you ordered to taste for perfection incase you want to add anything or change anything but as I get my sample the lady started to pour it in the cup, didnt wait for my opinion. It wasnt as cold as I would have wanted it to be but didnt wanna start anything I just said it was fine. The one moping gets mad because my boots were dirty she told me to stand by the door and the other lady tells me to come over to the cashier to pay and the one mopping gets mad. I just think for a first time experience on a Friday night it should have been a little better.. I’ll come again another time maybe I’ll change my rating but as of now very disappointed

Slainte Irish Pub Monkey Junction – Menu with Prices – 5607 Carolina Beach Rd #100, Wilmington

This place sucks. There is no other way to say it. The food is freaking delicious with no regard to the damage its going to do to my bank account. To make it worse they partnered with uber eats so I dont even have to leave my house (god I hate leaving my house) to get their delicious food whenever I want. Jokes aside I’ve ordered from them twice this week. Uber eats chunks on quite a bit to the bill which sucks but the price of the food itself is very reasonable. I cant stress enough for introverts like myself and my wife how great it is to be able to order online. If you guys read this please check out Surfside Express or Cape Fear Delivery as they are FAR cheaper then uber eats. Onto the food though. When I order from somewhere new I like to try a wide variety. There is not a lot of Irish pub style food available for delivery in Wilmington so this is awesome! The reuben egg rolls…amazing! There is a really great amount of filling inside and who doesnt love a Reuben? Added bonus the egg roll doesnt get soggy like the bread would. The buffalo wings…great. Im sure they would be 9/10 at the restaurant. Theres no great way to deliver wings so they dont get soggy (except for vented plastic containers) but both times I ordered them they were still decently crisp. I ordered them extra well done you may want to do the same. Really good flavor. The Irish cannonballs… fried mashed potato balls with cheese chives and bacon…awesome. The skins…I thought these would be potato skins but they’re like strips of potatoes coated like a blooming onion. Pretty yummy but kind of heavy. Corned beef platter…actually really didnt like this. Was kind of surprising cause the reuben egg rolls are top notch. But the amount of corned beef they gave felt kinda small, it the meat was sweet? Like I think there was cinnamon on it and I was just not a fan. Maybe I didnt read the description properly. They gave a good amount of cabbage and potatoes with it and the mustard was really great. Just should not be sweet. Blackened chicken…pretty ok. I asked for it cooked well done and it wasnt at all but the seasoning was very good. Im just odd and tend to like my meat more well done. Burger…what can you mess up about a burger? Was really great. Soda bread….very sweet and buttery very yummy. Price on this one feels a bit off for what you get but the taste is 10/10. Chicken tenders…very good lots of seasoning options. I tried the cajun ones and enjoyed quite a bit. Lastly the service. My wife wanted the green tomato BLT. We got a call a few minutes after I put the order in the restaurant was out of green tomatoes. The woman who called was very patient waiting for me to talk to my wife to figure out what she wanted. And then my wife opted for the more expensive burger but they didnt upcharge for the inconvenience. Really nice touch. Will order from these bastards again.

Maya Azteca – Menu with Prices – 264 Pocasset Ave, Providence

Food was amazing! Not in the greatest area but food is worth coming back for. After 9pm this place turns into a club. They have hookah for $25 but the coal is weak and they charge $2 for every coal… they purposely do not give you the tongs to rotate the coal so it burns faster and keep charging. I wish we didn’t have to wait to get a drink though. I felt after this place turned into a club the service wasn’t that great. I would highly recommend coming before 8pm for good service.
