I was going to meet up with some friends in the Bellevue area and was looking for a cafe to camp out for a few hours when I stumbled upon Cypress Coffee on yelp. Unlike other coffee shops around the Bellevue area, which primarily requires street or garage parking, Cypress Coffee actually has its own private parking lot, which is a huge bonus for someone like me who is absolutely incompetent at parallel parking. The coffee shop is nestled in between two car dealerships (Toyota and Volkswagen). The GPS definitely left me confused when it led me to Toyota, but the lots are all connected so you can just drive through the dealership to get to the coffee shop. Very friendly staff, great menu, and a chill and calming atmosphere. Great place to meet with friends or to get some work done. I loved the garage styled windows, which they left open since the weather was nice. Got some nice vitamin D. I ordered the lavender latte, which isn’t on the menu but available if you just ask. I had one shot espresso, and it was pretty strong. Gender neutral bathrooms available in the back. Really nice place, will come back again.

Bolt Coffee – Menu with Prices – 122 Fountain St, Providence

There’s two things I love to find when I’m traveling for work: Coffee and beer. Providence never leaves me wanting for either. I stopped in to Bolt after a meeting yesterday just looking for an afternoon pick me up. Located in The Dean, this location wasn’t the easiest for me to find using Google Maps. That said, there’s a parking garage a short walk away. I went in the afternoon, so all the nearby street parking was taken up. Pros: – Well designed interior! A little snug if it’s crowded, but they’ve got this great couch area to hang out in. – The coffee is SO GOOD. – Knead Donuts for sale! – Friendly staff. Cons: – A little cramped. – Kinda dark… But that might be a preference thing. I like a sunny coffee shop. – Not an ideal place to set up shop to work, but definitely good for a hang out with friends.

Equator Coffee NAC/CNA – Menu with Prices – 1 Elgin St, Ottawa

Great spot to sit and enjoy some excellent locally roasted coffee in the downtown area. Love the wrap around windows. Views of some pretty impressive elements of the city and an oddly shaped intersection that makes the traffic flows different to watch. The staff are friendly and happy to help with questions. I tried a dark roast and was happy with the flavour and acidity level. Parking was a chore, but now that I know where the shop is in relation to the garage doors, it’ll be much easier next time.

Swing’s Coffee Menu with Prices 501 E Monroe Ave #1626, Alexandria

Swings is a great Coffee Shop! The garage feeling, with the cement floors and small and group table seatings make a great environment. What I love about Swings is that they also roast their coffee beans right on site! You can watch them in action and it reallj makes the coffee experience that much more unique. The staff was helpful and worked quickly. The floor to ceiling windows make it bright and airy feeling. There is a lot of seating, however only a few plugs so if the two group tables are full then you are out of luck. It’s a great place to work and I had no problem with the background noise. I would put this place in my regular work rotation and I would definitely suggest it to others. Yes it’s in Arlington, but it’s a little off the main cutesy road in the area so that makes parking a little easier. There’s a park across the way in case you have the kiddos with you. There was also a container of dog treats by the door which I thought was a nice little touch. And as a side note I didn’t think the pricing was insane either compared to most local type coffee shops. I had the Bergamot Latte and the chocolate croissant and they were both heavenly!

5 Stones Coffee Co Menu with Prices 2649 Landerholm Cir SE, Bellevue

Hands down my favorite coffee shop everrrr (especially for the Eastside). I was super stoked when I found out that 5 Stones opened up a Bellevue location. I tend to go early mornings on the weekdays. They have a parking lot (which is the church’s parking lot), every now and then it might look busy because some BC students try to park there for free. BUT, 5 Stones management started to put up signs on how the lot is for customer’s only and it’s lightened up a bit more ? What I get is…. the missile. No matter if it’s a hot day or a cold day, ya gurl always go for that cold brew missile with light ice and soymilk ? Why? Not sure, but it really wakes me up and it’s not overly sweet. Every now and then I like to get the Fruit and Ricotta Toast. Their Fruit jam is house made and it’s always so yummy and goes great with the coffee! Overall; friendly baristas (if you go there enough, they’ll know your name and recognize you haha), great coffee, great food and good vibes. Note: the coffee shop portion of the building can be a bit loud, i recommend moving to the open area, if you want a quieter place to work.

TEXAS CHOICE – Menu with Prices – 6040 Brittmoore Rd, Houston

Absolutely the most awesome and knowledgeable group I’ve met thus far. Ive been taking my vehicles to the dealership for almost 20 years and decided to get a second opinion on this one. Not only did they recheck the dealership’s initial diagnosis, they test all the components the dealership suggested replacing.

Archetype Coffee Little Bohemia – Menu with Prices – 1419 S 13th St Suite 101, Omaha

OK WHOA. I’ve been a fan of the Archetype Blackstone for a number of years, and there are so many little things I appreciated; like them being dog friendly and having wifi and a little patio…etc. but the little Bohemia location really is amazing inside and blows Blackstone out of the water! Not only is is full of light (windows on 3 sides of the building vs only 1 in Blackstone), but it’s spacious and you can work or chat without overpowering the person next you. I love a good cozy coffee shop- but the parking in Blackstone is becoming annoying and it sucks when I meet someone to work and there isn’t a table for us. Little Bohemia has gorgeous natural light, tons of space, the same menu, light pastries and snacks, and really really pretty architecture. Since this street is not overly populated, there is lots of street parking and they also have their own lot. The patio here is also in the works and looks amazing (big!). My only ask is this- I like coffee, but sometimes dont want coffee/macha/chai aka caffeine. It would be nice for them to have something else available to drink (kombucha?, italian soda, tea juice? hot chocolate/cider in the winter months?) Maybe they’ll add something like this to the menu soon. Until then, still good. Visit them soon!

Anchorhead Coffee Menu with Prices 555 110th Ave NE #101, Bellevue

Anchorhead Coffee opens in Bellevue, giving all other coffee shops in Bellevue a run for its money! I’m a fan of Anchorhead Coffee, so when I learned they were opening a Bellevue location, I knew it was gonna be my new jam. I set up a coffee meeting here and arrived early, so I could do some work with a coffee and snack in hand. On a weekday in the morning, the line was comprised of the Bellevue work crew, especially since Anchorhead is located by several tech companies, including Microsoft, in the same tower. Several people ordered their coffee to go, which worked out for me since I had plans of setting up shop at one of the tables. The space isn’t large, so if you plan to work here with a group, you may be fighting for a seat. I ordered the Nitro Mint Latte and a Sea Salt Chocolate Chip Cookie. The Nitro Mint Latte is made with cold brew, milk of your choice and a housemade mint syrup. It was awesome! I really liked that it was made with cold brew, giving it a less-acidic and more smooth taste. The mint was abundant, but didn’t taste artificial. I chose oat milk with my drink, which I recommend. I would happily order the nitro mint latte again. And whenever I see chocolate with sea salt I just have to have it. Something about the salty flavor bringing out the chocolate! My cookie was soft and crispy on the edges, which was yummy. Glad to have Anchorhead Coffee in downtown Bellevue…and it’s open on the weekends and stays open ’til 7pm. They serve damn good coffee, make their own syrups, including Intrigue Chocolate for the chocolate syrup (and sell their chocolate bars!), and have small bites. I have my eye on the biscuit sandwich for whenever I need breakfast. But coffee is a must here.

Tom Sawyer Country Coffee – Menu with Prices – (in the Kendall Yards neighborhood), 608 North Maple Street, Spokane

This is a great coffee shop. My friends from the bay area load up when they come to visit, but you can buy online too. The coffee is roasted in shop. You can meet the owner, who is kind and knowledgeable, and smell all the different roasts. The cold brew is not to be missed, both as a pour and on nitro. The nitro brews are made per cup, with a system that pulls nitro straight from the air instead of individual canisters. The staff is also very talented. You won’t be disappointed if you ask for recommendations of fun drinks. I recommend the undertone ð??? They also have a selection of teas and smoothies for non coffee drinkers, as well as the “Golden Latte,” which is a tasty tumeric based drink that is full of awesome antiinflammatory properties! They have a great atmosphere. The shop is SO clean. The patio is great and they have a big garage door that opens to make the shop feel open air. They also have a conference room available, which I plan to utilize in the future! They also just got ice cream, and it is definitely some of the best in town. Do not miss the salted caramel pretzel. They recommend it affogato style, with an espresso shot poured on top. I have been here several times and I love it. I have never had a bad experience.

Common Ground – Menu with Prices – 1319 Fulton St E, Grand Rapids

This is a quaint shop with unique and eclectic ambiance. Great food, drinks, and baked goods from local shops that are connected to this store. I had the tuna melt sandwich, chai latte, and a donut that were fresh and tasty. The place has good energy that is quiet but enough white noise from the traffic in deli connected by an open doorway to break the silence. It’s a great place to relax, write, read, and visit. Or wait for your car to be serviced at Veenstra’s garage across the street which is what I am doing.

Hidden House Coffee – Menu with Prices – 511 E Santa Ana Blvd, Santa Ana

I’ve visited this place a few times on my way home from Santa Ana and it never fails to disappoint! Up until today, I haven’t really spent time studying here or anything but decided on this place once T found out that they also had this location (with the first one being in Costa Mesa I believe?). The outside of the coffee shop is adorned in red bricks and it looks very nondescript. Coming from the Grand Exit off the 5 Freeway, I saw “coffee” painted on the side of a building and I know that I’m at Hidden House. There’s lots of street parking so you just need to circle around a bit before finding it. There are two entrances to HHC, one is through a clear garage door (when open) and the other is through their door. On a hot day in the summer, it looks like they tend to keep the garage door closed to make sure that the AC doesn’t escape. When you walk in, you there is the coffee bar in the middle with bar seating facing the baristas in the center. On the other end of the coffee shop, there’s a larger clear garage door as well that leads out to their patio seating. The whole area feels SUPER spacious since the ceilings are high and there’s plenty of seating available. Inside the coffee shop, there’s probably about ~30 seats available. The outdoor section is just as spacious as the indoor section with trees providing shade from the sunlight so you can enjoy the breeze without the heat. The great thing is that there’s a TON of natural lightning because they use the clear garage doors and have a few windows that allow the whole area to feel super spacious. I usually order their iced caffe latte (I feel like I’m only in Santa Ana when it’s 100 degrees out) and it’s a very mild and not extremely bitter coffee taste so it’s pretty good. We also ordered the Spinach and Feta Pastry and after they toasted it, it was SPECTACULAR. T ordered the Hot Matcha Latte and it was creamy and delicious with good matcha flavor. Shout out to the barista who made it because the design on it was A1 amazing. Super clean latte art! If you like to study at coffee shops – this place isn’t a bad place to consider! Lots of bar seating with individual tables lining the walls. If you don’t need too much space, it’s perfect since the bar seating isn’t too cramped. Most of the times I’ve been here, there’s always been a few seats open. 5/5 would come again!

CYM Coffee Co – Menu with Prices – 5404 NW 8th Ave, Gainesville

I love this coffee shop so much! They have delicious lattes and a friendly/helpful staff. I am in love with the atmosphere here and the abundance of tables and spaces to sit. I would come here every time to get coffee + study if they got better wifi. I have been present when Cox (I believe) has been out to fix the wifi, but there has been no change since. The wifi constantly wavers from a connected status to searching for the network. This makes it impossible to watch lectures or work in things like GoogleDocs. Please CYM, invest in better wifi that can handle high traffic!

Catch Des Moines – Greater Des Moines Convention & Visitors Bureau – Menu with Prices – 400 Locust St #265, Des Moines

Very friendly, very helpful staff. I only found street parking which you have to pay the meter for, but also didn’t bother to look for garage parking. It’s upstairs above Fed ex.
