This is a new hot spot for Fresno as everyone and their mama talks and raves about this place. My dude and I decided to come here as I have been eyeing this place for awhile plus my co workers raved about it. We came August 30th to try this place out and i have been excited to come here as everyone has hyped it up. We were immediately seated upon entrance. We sat in a booth which was kinda secluded but comfortable as well. They had a live band (I cannot spell right now lols Marachi, forgive me lols) that was playing Latino jams. They played a few familiar ones that I enjoyed. I love the atmosphere. Things were going very good until we got our food and drinks in which things went downhill from there. The taco-quesadillas were bomb…crunchy and cheesy very tasty! I usually never order fajitas as only ONCE in my life I had good fajitas which was at Applebee’s and the rest were not good but I did expect this place to have flavorful tasty fajitas in which they WERE NOT. They were rubbery, bland and gross and cold. Like there was no sizzle fizzle when you get piping hot fajitas. Nothing was good about it. It took like an hour for our server to come to our table to address the issue in which she had to talk to the manager, came back 20 minutes later and shared that the chef is going to give us sauce to put over it. Came back 10 minutes later with the sauce. We put it on and it was even worse! She came back 30 minutes later to see if it was better and we were like heck no! So she went to go talk to her manager to see if we can take it off the bill, comes back 15 minutes later and says the manager is not gonna charge us so we take the bill and leave like 3 hours later (exaggeration) over tasteless fajitas. This issue should not have taken forever at least 20 minutes max. Not sure if I will be coming back. But they appear to have a nice taco Tuesday special which their queso-tacos were bomb. Kinda loud if you want a romantic date night…you will be yelling most of the evening. Needs some improvements.

Red Bridge Barrio – Menu with Prices – 11118 Holmes Rd, Kansas City

The decor and outdoor seating are lovely and very inviting for a night out. We were greeted by the hostess who was friendly but clearly bra-less WTMI anytime, but especially noticeable in the 70+ year old hostess. Again, great atmosphere and great staff, but the food was lackluster at best. Everyone is served a small side of chips and salsa while you wait for your order…chips were clearly freshly fried and served warm from the kitchen. They were both decently flavored. The chips were served with a sprinkle of chili-lime flavored salt. The chips and salsa set my expectations for tasty entrees… We ordered mushroom/kale enchiladas and chicken fajitas. The enchiladas came with a side of Mexican corn and rice, the fajitas came with all the usual sides of pico, cheese, flour tortillas, lime, onions, poblano peppers, sour cream, guacamole plus a side of black beans served in a mini taco bowl, and rice. Lots of food for the money. The food came out of the kitchen fast in about 10-15 minutes despite being super busy during happy hour. But sadly the chicken, beans, rice and enchiladas all lacked spices of any kind. When our delightful waitress checked in with us, I let her know I was disappointed, and gave her feedback, but was willing to get a salt shaker and make due, when she insisted that she have the kitchen remake my fajitas and sent her manager to the table. She was very apologetic and eager to please. The manager stopped by and apologized and we chatted briefly. The second order of fajitas came to the table lickety split and sadly was worse than the first serving. Again there was no flavor and the chicken had been cooked so fast that it was tough and chewy. A second manager stopped by the table to check in and he was charming and helpful, and very apologetic. The food was edible so we picked at it a bit, but the food was lacking across the board. The outside of my plate had food stuck to it… We’ll likely go back and give them a second chance sometime just because of the wonderful and caring staff!I

Mexigrill taquería – Menu with Prices – 4917 Hamilton Rd, Columbus

I had the surf and turf fajitas. Fajitas are usually my go to, especially at a new place. If you can’t make good fajitas, you probably can’t make the other stuff either. My son’s had the tacos and my wife, the burrito. Service was a little iffy because the waitress wasn’t sure about a couple of questions and had to ask, but she was attentive and very nice. The owner came by twice to talk and ask how our meals were which is a great sign of a good restaurant. Food was great, fresh chips, and two sauces on the table (green & red) were fantastic and very spicy. You could tell the corn tortillas for the fajitas were fresh and handmade. Overall the food was two thumbs up

Village Brauhaus Menu with Prices 710 King St, Alexandria

Horrible. We arrived there at 6:30 for dinner. We checked in with the hostess and were told to wait at the bar because of a 10-15 minute wait, which was in spite of a bunch of open tables downstairs. After sitting at the bar, we got our table and were brought upstairs, where it was even more empty. We ordered our food, Bratwurst, and the special, Cornish Game Hen. First, the food took 30 minutes to come out. Second, when my friend cut into the Cornish Game Hen, it was bloody inside and ice cold. We sat for another 10 minutes before we could find a waitress to talk to point out the raw food. A manager came up and attempted to resolve the issue by offering another dish. By this time, we had been sitting so long and just wanted to finish our drinks and leave, not order a new meal and wait another 30-40 minutes. Plus, the raw dish sort of killed the appetite and severely decreased our confidence in the restaurant. The manager rightfully took the Cornish Game Hen off the bill. It would have been proper to take care of the total bill. I had to eat my meal as my friend watched me. Overall, the staff was incredibly disorganized and extremely slow for not being busy. Overall, it seemed as if they just started operating this evening. I would not go back. Ever.

Aurora’s Cafe – Menu with Prices – 303 N Story Rd, Irving

At first I was mad at this place. I went through the drive thru, and ordered fajitas. Which now that I think about it, is pretty stupid to order through a drive thru. Fajitas take time. It took 15 minutes. That’s my fault. I saw them working on them the whole time. However, because she was working on my fajitas, she was unable to take someone else’s order from inside within those 15 minutes and they ended up leaving. I guess she was the only one working. I also didn’t ordered off the to go menu. The to go menu is mostly quick things like tortas and hamburgers. I just ordered from what I saw on their website. So I felt bad for hogging the to go. The fajitas were really good though! Freshly made. A little on the expensive side. I also got chile con queso and was not impressed. Tasted like nacho cheese.

The Lost Cajun – Southlands Menu with Prices 6105 S Main St, Suite 104-F, Aurora

Our first experience with Lost Cajun was years ago at the original Frisco restaurant. With the expansion of locations we were thrilled to get one in Southlands, we love the food. We have never had a bad dining experience there until last night. Our server was a pleasant, eager to please guy who somehow added a $13 item to our final bill when the card was run. He apologized and went to find his manager who had apparently stepped out…more profuse apologies. The manager reappears, server tells us the transaction is being deleted. Twenty minutes later we?re still waiting for a corrected check. The manager is wandering around, didn?t come talk to us, the server kept talking to him, the manager reamed the server…we?re still waiting! Server was so upset and frustrated, he offered to pay our bill, we told him no way. Another five minutes goes by the manager finally appears at our table, tells me the incorrect check was deleted, hands me his card and comps our meal. Thank you but we offered to pay, we were upset mostly at the way our server was treated. He clearly needed his manager?s authority to correct our check but was ignored and chastised instead! I felt so bad for him and I told the manager I didn?t appreciate how he was treating his employee. No apology from the guy. It wasn?t about the comp (we tipped our server still) it was the entire process or lack of in correcting the check and the treatment of his server.

Pancho’s Mexican Grill – Menu with Prices – 1525 W Tennessee St, Tallahassee

Love love love this place. Very welcoming atmosphere paired with a solid variety of Mexican staples . They have all the classics: tacos, burritos, enchiladas, fajitas, quesadillas as well as burgers in case there are any picky eaters in the group the bases are well covered. For starters they bring out chips and salsa and the salsa is delicious and they have some pretty solid guacamole and queso if the salsa isn’t enough. I ordered the steak fajitas however they have chicken and shrimp options as well as a “Texas style” with chicken steak and shrimp . I enjoyed my food however it was very hard to get anything other than the carnitas dinner which is my all time favorite. my girlfriend ordered the taco salad which came in a taco bowl and thoroughly enjoyed it. Solid happy hour too, recommend giving this place a try !

Saltgrass Steak House – Menu with Prices – 3320 Central Expy, Plano

My wife and I decided to try the new place. I remember the building used to be a Joes Crab Shack. We went in and the decor inside was awesome. Needless to say, that was the only good thing there. Once we sat down, our server came up to us and ask for our drink order and ask if we wanted any appetizers. We just sat only a minute and didn’t get to lunch on all over the menu. She brought our drinks and we decided to order an appetizer and our entrees. Our appetizer came out and ate some and we were waiting for our entrees which was 2 hamburgers. We waited waited waited and after 40 minutes we finally got to talk with our server and she said ” oh, you didn’t get your food” we said does it look like it on the table. The restaurant was not even busy at that time as only 6 tables were used. We then told her we want to cancel our order and to talk with the manager. With all this happening, the server was never engaging with us to keep us informed of our order or failed to look at us. When manager came over, we told him what had happened and wanted the cancel our order. He said our order was coming up but after waiting forty minutes, we told him we didn’t want it. He went to take it off the bill but no apology for the issue. Bad customer service. He acted like it was our fault. We ended up doing Dairy Queen which for a fast food restaurant, where much more nicer. Needless to say, We won’t be coming back to this location. informed

The Lost Square – Menu with Prices – 412 Williamson St, Savannah

So we have had many friends rave about one of Savannah’s new rooftop bars. We were downtown and friends invited us to meet them at The Lost Square. On the way to the location one of our friends stated the last time he was there he had bill that was more than expected and turned out that there were drinks on their bill that they had not ordered. We arrived and had several very nice Dogfish Head Sours. Some of the drinks were ordered at the bar and others from the sever working our little seating area. For our final round I went to the bar ordered our drinks and also payed for my tab. So my beers are delivered and then my CC is returned already processed. I then asked for a copy of my itemized receipt which she prints no problem. It’s at this time I notice 2 drinks that I have not ordered that I was already charged for. The Bartender politely corrected the bill. However, she never gave me a copy of the voided cc transaction. When I asked for a copy she had to literally dig in the trash for the transaction receipt. Having never recirece a copy of the original bill I kinda wanted this for my records just in case. I did call over the manager to informed her of what had happened and she was extremely nice and sincerely wanted to hear my issue. I figured the issue was resolved. However, after we left we received a text from our friend who stated he paid part of our bill because we left without doing so. Obviously I’m frustrated by this. It’s a busy bar and mistakes happen easily and I get that. Rule of thumb would be to always ask for an itemized copy of your bill before you allow your cc to be run. Also If you work in a crazy busy bar like this one, please ask the guest to review the bill to ensure that it is accurate. It may be an extra step but how much time did the mistakes take to correct? Otherwise a good experience.

Shoji Sushi & Hibachi – Menu with Prices – 2575 Main St, Frisco

This restaurant is very mismanaged. My wife and I arrived at 7:30 PM. We requested Hibachi and were told by the host there was one party ahead of us and that it would be a few minutes before we were seated. No problem at all. Totally expect some amount of wait for Hibachi, especially being in a small party. We saw the party ahead of us seated but noticed that the host now seemed very frantic. A few parties came in and were seated for Hibachi almost immediately which made us wonder if our name was still on the list. But the host kept looking up at us. â??Just a few more minutes,â? heâ??d say. As 8:00 PM rolled by, two families walked in and were now in the Hibachi queue. Several times, waitresses and cooks came up from the back to talk to the host which seemed odd, as if they were dealing with some other issue. This made the few-minute-turned-half-hour wait seem more reasonable. Thirty more minutes passed though with no news. At 8:30 PM, a family of seven walked in the door. About two minutes later we were finally seated. An hour wait in total but at least we were now comfortable and had a great view of the grill. As soon as we could get situated though, the host came by and motioned for us to stand up again. He told us we were going to the party room. He then added five place settings to the table leaving us to awkwardly stand in the middle of the dining room for several minutes. The party of seven who had checked in seconds before were seated in our spots. We followed him to the entrance and he gestured for us to sit back down in the waiting area we had just been in for over an hour. We waited again for the party room to be cleared out. Finally, we were seated with the two families that had now waited over thirty minutes. The party room has two grills and we were seated on the far right side. Because there were two kids at the left grill, we figured the chef would use that one and we were right which put us approximately 10 feet from the action. Understandable, but not really the same Hibachi experience. After an hour wait, the pace of Hibachi seems to take much longer. I took the first picture when we were first seated: 8:36 PM. I took the second picture at 8:55 PM. Still no chef. Youâ??ll see I ordered Edamame and it had been boiled and salted, but arrived cold. Chef came by shortly after, which put our entree at 9:30 PM, two hours after we arrived. My wife prefers her steak medium rare, but to her chagrin, has to order it well done for medical reasons. The chef made a joke at her expense. Needless to say, it was difficult to fork up $60 for the experience my wife and I had at Shoji. Itâ??s strange that everyone in line is quoted â??just a few minutes,â? but that could mean immediately, thirty minutes from now, or in an hour. Perhaps if we were in a larger party or had kids, the treatment would have been better.

Seoul Shakers – Menu with Prices – 1241 Bloor St W, Toronto

This place is very small, overrated and poorly managed. Here is way: we were a group of four. walked in on a Saturday night. Sat at front waiting to be seated. Took over 45 minutes. We are all average size and no one could fit on the furniture at the front. Some of us had to stand. after 45 minutes the manager comes in and complains that she doesn’t want people standing at the front. the bartender and proximity of the bartender is very close to the front. no offer of sitting at the bar no offer of getting us drinks while we’re waiting for seats. finally after an hour waiting we were seated. Then we had to go through the menu so the manager shows up- she is white female with lighter brown hair/blonde hair -about 5’7 medium build, early 30’s….No offer of explanations for menu , gets offended when one of us asked for any type of salad or vegetable. Her exact wording was: ” You get what you see in menu, if you don’t want it don’t ask for it”…(condescending tone). We Ended up ordering bunch of different dishes the only dish good was the one with egg plant. The rest were bunch of crap overheated and over burnt! After an hour and 15 minutes we got a bill for almost $400 so we shared the bill divided by four as they wouldn’t bill us individually. between four people we were each paying hundred dollars for a bunch of shared plates and one or two drinks. please please please don’t spend your money in this $&@@hole! There are so many nicer places with better food and staff. Will never go back again

Bites By Bandida – Menu with Prices – 2901 NE 2nd Ave, Miami

So I decided to try this new taco place. It opens till 2am and it’s a cute little set up. Surprisingly, the place only had two clients while we were there (It’s happy hour time everywhere, but not here). I ordered two tacos and a beef empanada. I was shocked to see how tiny these $3.75 tacos are. Picture this, the tortilla size was about as big as a rim of a cup. That’s tiny a tiny taco! The Chuleta and Cheese taco was very tasty and flavorful. The Cochinito Pibil was very dry and bland. The beef empanada was tasty, but dry. My daughter ordered the guacamole and the cashier asked her if she wanted chips…hmmmm? Anyways, long story short, this brand new taco place has a lot of competition with well known names. I think they should re-think the taco size and offer Happy Hour so that it can be just as lit as the surrounding restaurants. I will try again in a couple of months to see if they have re-vamped their purpose.

Holiday Inn Murfreesboro – Menu with Prices – 1453 Silohill Ln, Murfreesboro

I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THAT YOU DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY AT THIS HOTEL! There are plenty of other options in the area. It is a fairly new hotel, same rooms as any other holiday inn. Customer service leaves a lot to be desired. I travel a ridiculous amount of time for my job. I stay in probably 30 to 50 different IHG hotels throughout the year. Due to my job I am never certain when I am going to have to suddenly head to the next place. I have never had an issue until this morning when I went to check out….. well before check out time. I was told that I had to pay for tonight also. When I asked why, the sales manager told me that it was because I was supposed to check out tomorrow and I did not give 24 hrs notice that I was leaving, and that it was IHG policy. When I told her that I stay in a lot of IHG properties and have never heard of this “policy” she spent a few minutes digging through some folders and found a printed copy of something she said was it. She also told me that it was on my reservation. I pulled up my reservation on my IHG app and asked her to show me….. she could not because it is not there. She was absolutely no help in resolving the issue and never once offered for a real manager to talk to me to resolve the situation.
