pretty bummed because i usually like this place, but the service i got today really has led me to change my mind. My boyfriend and i ordered two drinks, wasn’t busy at all, and before we even finished ordering the barista walked off and started making the drinks.. so we try and call for her attention and get no response, so of course she brings us drinks we didn’t want, then she went back to fix them. when she brought them back again she had mixed up our flavors, giving me peach (i ordered strawberry peach) and my boyfriend mango strawberry (he ordered just mango). these are pretty minor mistakes and not a super big deal but her lack of care/attention was really irritating. however despite the issue with service, i do really enjoy their beverages.

It’s Boba Time – Menu with Prices – 136 S Brand Blvd, Glendale

We were craving boba and happened to be in the area we decided to stop by Boba Time for a couple drinks. The line was extremely long but we decided to wait it out. We ordered the Strawberry Matcha & Mango Peach Smoothie. My Strawberry Matcha drink wasn’t good, it tasted very watered down, not sweet enough, and barely had any strawberry flavor once it was all mixed together. Definitely not comparable to Boba Guys’ Strawberry Matcha Latte if you’ve ever had it. I would say the boba helped add sweetness to the drink, otherwise it would’ve been very bland and not much of a pleasure to drink. I would probably try a different drink next time if I was in the area and wanted boba again. The Mango Peach Smoothie tasted like your average Mango Peach Smoothie at other boba spots. Nothing too special about it but it tasted way better than the Strawberry Matcha.

Freezing Cow – Menu with Prices – 3546 Ambassador Caffery Pkwy suite 101, Lafayette

Had plenty of rolled ice cream in my life, this one ain’t too bad. I really like that they have Asian-y flavors too! You choose a base first, then 3 toppings for it. Whatever ingredients is listed under the flavors are not toppings! They are mixed in with the base! I felt bad for the guy rolling all the orders.. he must of done 12 back to back, his forearm looks like they were giving out on him! We had the following: – SWEET BANGKOK – Thai tea and lychee mix in with mango, lychee, and green tea poki sticks toppings – PINK LADY – strawberry base, banana, and strawberry mix in with Oreo, strawberry poki sticks, and strawberry wafers Both was pretty good and tasty. Cool place to take the kids so they can enjoy some entertainment. Hope they get more workers in though, so people don’t have to wait as long. It took 20 minutes for us to get ice cream.

Hangs French Coffee & Smoothie – Menu with Prices – 1146 Fort Street Mall, Honolulu

I think I’m in love. I was in love from the first sip. How is it possible that a smoothie could be THAT delicious?! It’s no surprise since he uses fresh fruit. He doesn’t add ice cream or yogurt or anything to overwhelm your taste buds with harsh sweetness. If anything I think he adds condensed milk to some smoothies. I’ve only ever tried the fruity flavors — peach, pineapple, strawberry, and mango. My favorite must be Mango. This mango smoothie is so refreshing, delicious, creamy and perfectly sweet. If you like mango in the slightest way, you must try it. I can’t stress that enough. The sad part is that mango is seasonal so its available during the Summer months. So what to opt for if mango isn’t available? Peach and pineapple are my other favorite flavors. The peach flavor is so fresh, it tastes like you just bit into a peach. Omg, it’s heaven. Pineapple is just as fresh and has that nice sour/sweet flavor a pineapple has. You’ll never want it to end. It’s located in Fort Street Mall on the side where most of the other restaurants are. Parking can be brutal in downtown/Chinatown! My suggestion, go with another person so someone can drive/watch the car while the other goes and picks up some heaven. Oh and it is CASH ONLY. No problem – there’s a lot of banks and ATMs downtown ? If there was 10 stars to give, I wish I could give it to this place. There is no hype, no overrated reviews here. As their ratings says it all, this place is a MUST when it comes to fresh fruit smoothies. I guarantee you will be satisfied and feel feelings you never thought you’d ever feel from drinking a smoothie. **New Found Favorite: Cantaloupe. It’s not too sweet but incredibly fresh and refreshing to have. It has a more watery consistency (as does the fruit) but that does not take away anything from the flavor. TIP: Try to order WITHOUT pearls. It might just be preference but their smoothies are so flavorful, you wouldn’t want anything to disrupt or hinder your ability to taste the deliciousness of each smoothie — they deserve more than that.

Fusion Tea Lounge – Menu with Prices – 1806 E Southern Ave, Tempe

My boyfriend and I decided to try this place out after I read my friend Joyce’s review and I was excited when I saw the picture of the Sesame Balls because it’s my childhood snack that my mom used to buy for me back home when I was little. The place is clean and spacious but you have to order the food at the counter, not on the table. The employees are so friendly and nice! We ordered Finger Lickers, Rolling Avo, DC Ramlet Battered Wings, Sesame Balls, Mango boba tea and my bf did ask if they could mix the flavor, and he asked for Mango&Peach boba tea. – Finger Lickers, this is so good! They gave us sweet & sour sauce and I enjoyed every bite of this popcorn chicken, so delicious! – Rolling Avo, they also gave a special sauce for this. I don’t know how to feel about this one, I don’t hate it but I don’t like it lol, it’s basically what it says, avocados in tortilla and they fried it. But my bf enjoyed it though. – DC Ramlet Battered Wings, the batter is absolutely delicious but when I went in to the meat part, it was bland. They have to find a way to marinate/seasoned the wings and it’d be a perfect menu! I keep saying this, everyone has different taste buds, and to me, I love it when the chicken has some flavor to it as well, not just the outside part, I hope it makes sense! But we ate this with ranch so it was still good! – Sesame Balls. Oh hello, childhood. The only difference is, back home we use Mung Bean filling instead of black sesame filling. I still love it regardless! – Mango boba tea. Say no more, LOVE IT!!! – Mango & Peach boba tea. My bf tried it and he said it’s weird that it tasted more like Coconut instead of mango or peach. He didn’t want to bother them so he didn’t say a thing. And before we left, the guy asked us how was everything? Did you guys enjoy it? We finally told him about this drink, my bf didn’t lie because I tried it as well and I could also taste coconut and he made another one for us! And the new one, it tasted definitely a combination of mango & peach, thank you so much! We really appreciate it! I can see myself coming back for the finger lickers and their boba tea so yes, until next time!

Fruit-on-Ice Raspados Y Nieve De Yogurt – Menu with Prices – 10 N Broadway St, McAllen

We were treated to a raspa (snow cone) from this place called Fruit on Ice. It’s a food truck that specializes in refreshing snacks with the Mexican touch. My friend had a Mango raspa with chamoy and chile (spicy stuff). He said the combination of the sweet and the spicy made for a great, cold refreshment, perfect for the hot temperatures of the valley. My wife had a mango and strawberry raspa. She said it was tangy yet good. The conhination of flavors made for a great dessert. I had just a peach raspa. It was perfect for someone looking to satisfy their sweet tooth. All of our raspas had either pulp of fruit, fresh fruit, or in my case, a peach seed. That goes to show how unique the raspas are. I did knock it down one star because they don’t offer any sugar free syrup options, but that may not be of concern to others. They also sell corn and have other items on the menu, but I’ll have to go back and try them again at a later date.

Ricciardis Italian Ice – Menu with Prices – 10835 Kings Rd, Myrtle Beach

We have been at Baywatch for a week and a half and they have a cart here. We have bought a cup of different flavors on 5 different occasions and everytime it was awesome, until tonight. The girl working was so busy talking to a guy (appeared to be a friend of hers) to even acknowledge my daughter when she walked up to order and the friend had to even point to my daughter for her to acknowledge her. Then my daughter ordered a cotton candy and a mango. The girl working proceeded to put both flavors in 1 cup. Wanna know what isn’t good together? Cotton candy and mango!! I told the girl that she ordered 1 of each to which the girl argued with me that she didn’t. I asked for a cup to separate the flavors and she said she couldn’t give me another cup without charging 4.00 for it!!! She took the mixed one from to to “fix” it. Well now I’m sitting here with a still very mixed mango/cotton candy concoction that no one is gonna eat because it is awful. Needless to say we wont be buying anymore since we just wasted 8.00 because this employee was more worried about socializing than taking care of the customer.

Sno Way Shave Ice – Menu with Prices – 3041 30th St, San Diego

Sno Way Shave Ice is a refreshment stand on the front corner of the parking lot for Ray’s Liquor in North Park. They are closed on Monday but are open from 1 pm to sunset (~ 8 pm) from Tuesday through Sunday. Sheeva and her boyfriend chef operate the booth and have been here for about a month now. I pulled into a parking space and asked Sheeva which was the most popular shave ice of the five flavors they had on the menu. Her response was the Strawberry (fresh strawberry syrup, kiwi, tapioca, coconut whip) so I ordered that in a medium size for $5.50. She even provided a complimentary cup of peach iced tea to go with my order so thank you for that kind gesture. We got into a nice conversation about posting photos on Yelp and other social media. In fact, I added her as a friend to my list by the time the shave ice was ready. The ice was ground into a fine powder and heaped way beyond the top of the bowl. The presentation was beautiful, and the fruity flavors really stood out. This booth should do well in the area since the weather will be heating up for the summer months.

La Michoacana – Menu with Prices – 3840 Broadway Ste E, Rockford

First, we don’t ever wander over to this shopping center unless to go to Marcs. It is very run down! We Stopped in to try Vinnys pizza (on a recommendation) and walked in here while we were waiting for the pizza to be cooked. We grabbed three of the Popsicles. Not your dinky grocery store Popsicles. These were made with chunks of real fruit frozen in. They have about 20 fruit flavors made with coconut water like watermelon, cantaloupe, guava, mixed fruit and 20 cream flavors like strawberry and cream, caramel, and coconut. My son got a bubblegum cream one, hubby a strawberries and cream, and I got a mixed from with chile. Yes I said chile… I asked the lady which was most popular and she said that was it. We brought them home to eat after the pizza. My son scarfed his down and won’t let anyone taste, so that means he loved it. I took one bits of mine and it had great flavor, and than the chile set it. It was HOT HOt and not something I was used to and quickly learned it was not something I liked. My husband had a few bites of his and felt bad for me and gave me his. It’s was awesome! Big slices of strawberry in a wonderful gelato type cream. I can’t wait to go back to try those mango things!!! Pops are $2 and some change. Grab a few and bring them home to freeze. You won’t be sorry!!!

MuCha Tea Moment – Menu with Prices – 922 E Apache Blvd STE 106, Tempe

Overall: This is an interesting place to check out. Drinks: Great flavor and refreshing. Price: Price could be lower for the amount they serve. Cons: Puts too much ice for a small cut. Hopefully they will make some adjustment to that. Details: This place has carbonated flavored drinks. The names of their drinks sounds very delightful. I ordered the mango and strawberry flavor soda. My friend ordered the passion fruit one. These were suppose be the bubbly carbonated drinks. When I got my drink, my strawberry drink didn’t seems to have any carbonation in it. Just seems like a flavored tea. However, the mango one did have carbonation. So it seems inconsistent. But they taste great. It seems light. I forgot to ask if the sugar and ice could be decreased but they also didn’t ask me. So I’m not sure if that’s adjustable. We also did provided them the feedback that there was too much ice. Their response was that it was to create the gradient of color. But I would honestly would want more of what I’m drinking than caring more about the appearance of my drink. Even though I know most places today want the Instagram photogenic picture of their product. However, the drink taste fine with regular sugar.

Unplugg-D Cafe – Menu with Prices – 12085 Brookhurst St, Garden Grove

This is entirely based on the drinks, not food or service wise as a heads up! BLACK MILK TEA: For the BMT, I feel like this is generally a very bland tasting milk tea. Other places make it better, but others also make it worse, so this falls right in the middle: average. The BMT is more on the milky side than the actual black tea itself which I believe should have an equal tasting milk to tea ratio. RATE: 5/10 TROPICAL NIGHT: This is suppose to taste like a strawberry lemonade kind of fruit tea, but really lacks that strawberry flavor I was looking for. The TN has more of a prominent grapefruit flavor, but has no grapefruit in it, which is very confusing as to where that taste comes from. RATE: 4/10 PEACHY GIRL: The PG drink is very very bland. I don’t really taste a distinct peach flavor in the drink like it probably should. It’s more on the watery side than the tea side, so it basically feels like I’m just drinking straight up water with a hint of peach juice. RATE: 3/10 TRA BUOI: The TB tea is the best of the 4 drinks I ordered. This tea actually tastes like guava and the tea base complements the guava. It has a little sour taste to it which isn’t necessarily bad. RATE: 7/10 OVERALL: 4.7/10 would recommend coming here.

Nicey Treat – Menu with Prices – 916 E Westfield Blvd, Indianapolis

Nicey is my favorite dessert place in Broad Ripple! If you want to get a sweet treat, check out Nicey Treat! They are located across from 317 Burger on the back street of Broad Ripple. They have over 40 flavors of popsicles there are seasonal flavors and flavors they have all year round. If you are vegan, they also have popsicles that are vegan. Some of the vegan popsicles they have are peach, mango ginger, avocado, strawberry mint, and more. For a more creamy popsicle, they have flavors like not so hot chocolate, almond butter, toasted coconut, let lime pie, and more. You can even get your popsicles dipped in milk chocolate or dark chocolate! Not only the popsicles at Nicey are great, but so are the employees. You can be sure to be greeted with a huge smile when you enter the store. The employees are very helpful at describing the popsicles and helping you make a decision! I have never had a bad experience here. Nicey Treat is a great place to go with your whole family! There is a treat with your name on it when you come into Nicey!

Bubble Leaf – Menu with Prices – 526 W Benjamin Holt Dr Suite A, Stockton

I returned recently because I really enjoyed their specialty drinks the last time. Came with my boyfriend this time because he wanted to give it a try too. I have more complaints than compliments this time. I wanted to try something classic this time since I was craving a regular milk tea. I made a mistake and I should have ordered another specialty that I haven’t tried yet. Their classic milk teas and tapioca pearls aren’t very good and are lacking in comparison to other milk tea shops. Maybe in the future I’ll consider ordering them again when I think there has been improvement. My boyfriend agrees with me. We also wanted to try their popcorn chicken but they were out at around 5 PM. Lastly, for the time being, I think I’ll stick to ordering with the regular cups instead of the split cups. I’m not content with split cups still having lids that don’t close right and causing the two drinks to mix together. My boyfriend’s thai tea mixed with his peach black tea in his split cup. This place is still new so I don’t want to make judgements too quickly. If I return anytime soon, I’m going to stick to their specialties. Hoping they don’t run out of popcorn chicken next time I’m here. The fries are good. I’d recommend trying their other snacks because they have unique ones. The employees here are very friendly and attentive. The wait isn’t long and this place is closest to my house compared to other milk tea shops so I’ll definitely be coming back.
