Iâ??m writing this review as I walk out of the store. The Crows Feet has the absolute worst customer service my partner or I have ever experienced. My partner bought his new skis on Evoâ??s website and had them shipped to Crows Feet because they are contracted through Evo and we were in Bend for the weekend visiting family. First, we were never greeted. Then, finally, one of the employees asked what we wanted and we explained we had skis shipped to their store. Immediately the vibe of unwelcome was more than palpable and when we left all the other employee said was â??you know, ours are cheaper.â? Completely unprofessional and made me extremely uncomfortable to merly stand in their store. As avid skiers and boarders, we will never return!

OC Snowsports – Menu with Prices – 2306 Newport Blvd, Costa Mesa

This place is hands down the best place I’ve ever been to when looking for all things ski and snowboard related in southern California (away from the mountains). Darryl, Ron, and Travis were all super helpful in letting us know more about what we were purchasing and what to look out for. Each of their staff was extremely knowledgeable and their expertise is unmatched to some of the other stores in OC area. Came here three separate times: first two to buy ski boots/bindings and another time to buy a pair of ski boots and their rental package. Darryl, the owner, was very negotiable and made sure we had everything set and good to go for our upcoming Big Bear trip. The store was super clean, opened only for a few months and had a ton of top-of-the-line brands, all 2019 new and fully stocked. They price match their products to online websites like www.evo.com too. Their custom boot fittings ensure you to have the best possible boot for your specific skill level and performance, definitely recommend trying this out as I doubt there’s another place in the area that provides that kind of expertise and service. Darryl was even nice enough to provide us an early pickup for the rentals and only paying for the select days in which we were actually skiing. The pricing of the rentals is reasonable as they are all pretty brand new for regular high performance ($45/day). They also have demo skis that are all 2019 brand new for a higher price with a hefty deposit. Definitely will be coming back for basic or extensive tuneups as this place really does live up to its mantra of providing high expertise for skis/snowboards and custom boot fittings. Great service overall. Do keep in mind this place is more tailored to skis than it is to snowboard, so for any skiers out there in OC looking for a good place and new knowledge about the sport, definitely worth taking a look at this place.

Trail Coffee Roasters – Menu with Prices – 501 E Main St, Stockton

I’m torn! From the first time I walked into this place almost a year ago, I had nothing but good things to say. The coffee, the customer service, the workspace especially–top-notch!!! Then it became hit or miss…but, the real reason I’m on here is to give (Ariana?) a long overdue shoutout. I haven’t been back for a while just because I’ve had a few (let’s just say) “not as delightful” encounters… unfortunately /: BUT, that’s okay.. Anyway, last visit, my drink didn’t seem right and when I asked to buy another shot to add to it to make it better, Ariana didn’t hesitate to immediately offer to remake it, no problem. I explained I wasn’t trying to be a pain in the ass (and made sure to leave a good tip). She was completely friendly the entire time, and even said to let her know if it still wasn’t right the 2nd time around. So, even though I’ve felt unwelcome at times, I still wanted to show some respect because of those few, greater encounters sprinkled in here and there. And especially because of how Ariana rocked it out that day. That said, it’s still a gorgeous spot. Coffee’s great. Affogatos (oh gosh) legit what dreams are made of! Still one of my fave workspaces. I just don’t frequent it as much as I used to. Hope nothing but the best for this business though!

Crows Nest Barbershop – Menu with Prices – 1104B Pensacola St, Honolulu

I took my son for the first time to Crows Nest Barbershop. We usually go to Supercuts, but this time he wanted to try a more of a stylish cut. I did a lot of research with the different Barbers in town, not extensively but read lots of reviews. I decided to give them a try. Walked in and immediately was greeted by both Barbers. Place is very clean, retro vibe, with the old Hawaiiana touches. Loved it! We both were nervous but immediately Mark made us feel at ease. My son has been through a lot this year… medically, mentally and emotionally. He wanted a new look to start this new journey in life as he heads off to College. Mark was very attentive and very sensative to some of the new medical challenges my son is dealing with. The sudden onset of Alopecia Areata, a run of chemotherapy that caused cystic acne all over his skin which causes a great deal of pain. Mark did an excellent job! My son usually winces in pain as the razors and clippers run through his hair. It has been so painful as a mom to see your son in so much pain from a hair cut… my heat breaks everytime he sat in the chair for a hair cut because I couldn’t stop it from hurting. This time it was so very different! The gental and caring skilled use of the clipper and scissor made a huge difference. Mark used a soft baby brush to move his hair to cut it. He was really gental with the clipper. He used a razor to clean the back hair line and made sure he was very gental. My son’s pain level today was at 0. We will definitely be back as usual customers! Thank you so much Mark for the great, awesome service and most of all a painless hair cut!

Ted’s Food Drink Lounge – Menu with Prices – 160 Frontage Rd, Newark

One of the most inhospitable restaurants I’ve ever been to. I was staying at the Doubletree next door for a conference and needed some late night food, so I headed over here since Google told me it was open until 12. I arrived at 11:40 and was greeted by a blocked off door and a manager saying they were only accepting to go orders. This was fine with me as I intended to order food then go back to my room but I felt entirely unwelcome. I ordered from the happy hour menu but was charged regular pricing until I alerted the manager who went to the back to change it. I had to ask for the beer I ordered. It was handed to me at the door. I immediately spoke to the manager and told him I felt very unwelcome in his establishment despite the fact that they weren’t even closed yet. As a bartender, I understand wanting to leave at a reasonable hour, but have never locked customers out *before* closing time. Mike apologized and allowed me to sit at a table. Update: I’ve updated this from 1 star to 4. The manager Mike explained that they had a crazy night due to a cancelled flight and dozens of patrons with vouchers. He offered me dinner and a drink on my next visit and I appreciate that he took the time to address and correct the issue

Izakaya Hachi – Menu with Prices – 3033 Bristol St D, Costa Mesa

##Although many foods taste decent, the customer experience was very bad with overpricing and employee’s authoritative attitude. ## The Japanese menu was misleading – for assorted sashimi, it can be read as they would serve oyster and selection of seasonal fish. When the employee delivered the food, there was no oyster, just commodity fish available anywhere in the US (tuna, salmon, yellowtail, octopus, squid and tiny frozen crab meat -$40). The first employee didn’t explain anything about what they served and left. I then called another employee and asked about oyster; she said I was misleading the menu and oyster is indeed not included. OK, fine.. but what about seasonal fish? I mentioned that sashimi looks too normal and pointed out that yellowtail and salmon are not good season now (and others also). She said “this is our style and we’ve been doing like this always” and left… The manager later came to my table and explained that they cannot always guarantee seasonal fish as sometimes it will be too expensive. I then said that this is clearly different from what is explained and the sample picture on menu and said I wanted to return the dish, but he said they cannot refund as they already made it. I then asked them to stop cooking subsequent foods and just get us check. They said they are already cooking and cannot cancel anything…. No apologies from anyone throughout the conversation. I assume they just put whatever the fish left for the day and thought that customers would not understand the value/type of fish and overcharged $40. Unfortunately, I have good knowledge about fish and clearly saw their intent… after we left the place, I found they even didn’t decorate the food in the same way with what other people were uploading pics on yelp… Probably the worst Japanese restaurant in terms of customer experience. Will never come back.

My Favorite Muffin – Menu with Prices – 6517 Kitten Lake Drive, Midland

Horrible horrible customer service. Went in for a bagel sandwich and a few muffins. When we got to the counter, we were immediately accosted by the person behind the counter. There was virtually no one in the shop, so there was no need to rush. My husband tried to explain that we hadn’t had time to look at the muffins or decide what we wanted, but she continued to rush us to make an order. I was literally standing beside the muffin counter trying to pick one out, and she pretended not to see me. I felt very uncomfortable and unwelcome. Perhaps because I don’t look like their typical clientele, they assume I couldn’t afford their products? When my husband tried to make his order, which was again rushed, they question whipped him on what he wanted on the sandwich, when the menu clearly lists the ingredients and he asked for it to be made exactly like the menu. I won’t be coming back.

Schenk’s Bakery – Menu with Prices – 1061 N Mountain Rd, Harrisburg

I ordered a cake for my fiancé’s graduation party and had gone in two weeks before the party and spoke to one of the girls that runs the front desk, and I showed a picture of the cake to her. I explained that it didn’t need to be as extravagant as the picture and pared it down to just two books with mechanical engineering technology across the spine of the book (if that didn’t fit M.E.T would be fine) then a cap on top with ‘congratulations’. As I was explaining to her what I wanted she was running back and forth to the baker in the back. I felt as though our communication was getting off track and they weren’t getting my image for this cake. Eventually I asked for the baker to come out and get more of a clear idea of what I would like and I showed her a picture (the picture below displayed). She explained to me that the cake might not turn out exactly like the picture but they will make it look nice and had an idea of what I wanted. When it was the day to pick up the cake, my mother went in to pick it up for me. She opened it up and was in shock. She immediately sent me the picture of the cake (picture shown below) and I was very displeased. I immediately called them and expressed to them how displeased I was as the cake looked nothing like I had requested. I was speaking to the girl at the front desk and she puts me on hold then speaks to the baker. She explained to me that they never said they could do two books because of the layering of the cake (I had nothing extravagant in regards to layering) and that I never said that I wanted the MET on the side or with dot in-between. Had they told me originally they couldn’t do two books due to layering, I would never have used them to make this cake. They also informed that day that I was to email the picture that I wanted. They didn’t apologize and they did nothing to rectify the situation. I had to take my cake home and redo it and I am not a baker and did a better job than what I paid for. I am very upset with this situation as they lost someone that would be a loyal client, someone that would refer others. I will never be back, and I will express and tell others to never buy here.

La Michoacana All Natural Fruit – Menu with Prices – 129 N McKinley St #111, Corona

We ordered a banana split. The 3 people in front of us got 6 scoops of ice cream each in their banana split so when she made our banana split she gave us 3 scoops. When we asked to get the same 6 scoops she acted like she didnâ??t understand what we were talking about. After explaining what we were talking about 5 times she called the other employee over to discuss it With her in Spanish after the other employee told her never mind just fix it like that then she decided to reluctantly give us six scoops as well but even then she had to be reminded that we were supposed be getting six scoops and not three. We saw the other employee proceed to make the people behind us a banana split with the same 6 scoops. We were the only African American people in the store everyone else in the store was Hispanic! They were clearly discriminating against us! If you are African American donâ??t go to this store or if you do make sure you have your camera ready to record their discriminatory practices!!

Knee Deep Denim – Menu with Prices – 7014 E Camelback Rd, Scottsdale

Everything is adorable here, the store has the coolest vibe and every piece has a cool vintage yet on-trend feel. I wanted to pick out so many things but the handful of tops I went with have immediately become my go-to’s for summer. Definitely check them out, the girls are all awesome and super helpful. Everything is locally designed and woman-owned, so go support a local business and get some clothes you feel cute in ?

Popfancy – Galleria Mall – Menu with Prices – In front of Apple Store, 5085 Westheimer Rd 2nd Floor, Houston

When the new Apple Watch launched, this was the only store that had the model I wanted in stock. The issue was, when you got past 7-8pm it would show “unavailable for pickup” for all new Watches and phones and seeing as we were going to be commuting specifically from San Antonio for this particular item, I called before the store closed to ensure they had it and I swear the exchange that followed was like a scene out of Shrek between Pinocchio and Prince Charming: Me: It showed online earlier that you had XYZ Apple Watch Series 4 that I was looking at but now it’s showing as unavailable for store pickup. Can you check to see if you have it in-store? Employee: Uh. Hmm, well, uh, I don’t know where it’s not Me: You’re telling me you don’t know if you have it in-stock, yet you’re there in the store? Employee: It wouldn’t be inaccurate to assume that I couldn’t exactly not say that it is or isn’t almost partially incorrect. Me: So can you confirm that you have it? I mean we’re driving all the way from San Antonio! Employee: On the contrary. I’m possibly more or less not definitely rejecting the idea that in no way with any amount of uncertainty that I undeniably Me: Stop it! Employee: …do or do not know where it shouldn’t probably be, if that indeed wasn’t where it isn’t. Even if it wasn’t at where I knew it was. That’d mean I’d really have to know where it wasn’t. That was about the gist of the conversation – basically the employee was there in the store and refused to go look in the stock room to see if the item was in stock giving us the run around – well maybe we have it maybe we don’t. I guess you’ll have to come in the morning to find out. So after waking up super early to get there at opening time they didn’t have it. Not wanting the trip to be a total bust and wanting to return to San Antonio with something more than hurt pride and a bruised ego, I upgraded my phone which took (no joke) almost 3 hours. Part of that is when they opened there was a sea of customers and the employee to customer ratio was balanced but you had more than half the employees just standing around chatting while a third were with customer and a third were explaining that it’s not their job to do sales/assist with selling. It just screamed inefficiency and that early in the morning tempers run high and fuses are short.

Kroger Bakery – Menu with Prices – 1489 Madison St, Clarksville

I have only used this location a couple of times when I was in the area as I do not live near this store. On two occasions I picked up a couple of odds and ends and the experience was great. On one occasion I did need the help of an employee to point me in the right direction to find what I was looking for and this is why I offer up the 3 star rating. The employee was generally ok however they seemed to be irritated that I would ask a question and had to take the time to help me. The store has been clean every time I have shopped here and also seems to be well stocked. They have a really good fresh flower selection and the meat department offers many cuts and types. I would have given a 4 star review if not for the one encounter with the not so nice employee. I understand that everyone has a bad day and it is not always fun to be nice to everyone however it is part of their job to be helpful and courteous even if you have to put up a front. I am sure that I will shop here again sometime and Will even modify my review if my experience is better. I really have no reason to say to anyone don’t shop here. I am sure that not every employee is like this. If you have the experience of a more than helpful employee or an employee that seems put out to help you, please let me know and this will help me to decide if I modify my review.

The Rook & Pawn Menu with Prices 294 W Washington St #300, Athens

So a little explanation: We went to Athfest 2019. After all the times my best friend has told me about this place, all the times she’s tried to convince me to drive to Athens so we could go there, all the different games and events she’s seen happen there, my heart seriously breaks for her. She felt so uncomfortable and embarrassed she now will never go there again. I’m so disappointed in the staff and I hope the owner hires people that actually want to bring in more business. This is what happened: We go inside so my friend can get a drink during athfest. She’s always wanted to go in that bar due to their amount of games and her favorite shop is next door (epiphany). I got a beer outside before we went in and then waited for her inside on the couch while she ordered. I over hear her say “I love this place! I’ve always wanted to come here! I work nearby… is there anyway you can make a Green Tea shot for us?” After about 5 minutes she comes up to me really upset and says she wants to leave. I immediately get up and go outside with her. She’s about to run off when I stop her. She proceeds to tell me about how she saw they had Jameson, Peach Schnapps, and Sour Mix. So she asked them for a Green tea Shot (our favorite drink between the two of us and how we celebrate that we’ve gotten of the house/Also it’s the easiest recipe ever that I’ve posted below) and this chick proceeds to tell her “um, we don’t make that here. This isn’t ‘Wonder Bar.’” My friend is now outside embarrassed and on the verge of tears. The employee could have said, “I can’t make that for you, is there something else I can make?” Or “we don’t do shots here, is there another drink that I can serve?” And neither one of us would have been upset because we’ve been told that before. To go so far as to make her feel horrible for ordering her favorite drink is just sad. I’ve been a server and she’s been a server. There is no excuse to make someone feel that horrible when they come in, complimented your establishment, told you how bad they’ve always wanted to visit, then order a drink that’s easy to make, and made to feel unwelcome there. Recipe for a Green Tea Shot: *1/2 ounce Jameson *1/2 ounce Peach Schnapps *1/2 ounce Sour Mix *afterwards we went across the street to Clocked and even though they didn’t know how to make the drink, they still asked how to make it and happily made it for us without making us feel like horrible people. So shout out to them!
