Intro- Being around the garland area and having a lot of friends there, they were the ones that introduced me to this place. All I can say is that you gotta get… The crispy chicken and rice of course! Service- ordered at the counter and that’s basically it. I can say that out of the couple of time that I have gone, the food has always been out in a flash. Nothing extraordinary and nothing that was poorly done so always gotta give ups to that. Food- Yo. Just get the chicken and rice. I know they have a variety of stuff but I’m sorry, I can’t seem to try and get anything else when I come in. The chicken strips are just this crunchy, juicy, SUPER OILY, and awesomely unhealthy thing of awesomeness. And to accompany it, you MUST get the hot sauce! That stuff is actually spicy and is just great with the chicken! But seriously though, with all of that oil and spicyness, you gotta have a nice cold beverage by your side. As for the rice, the consistency is just like your average Mexican rice… Except a bit different? It’s kinda piece-y if that makes sense? Kinda wish it had some more pizazz to it with a lot of veggies or something but either way, it’s a nice contrast to the chicken. Conclusion- all in all this place is awesome for just stuffing your face in a crap ton of cheap, unhealthy, but totally awesome chicken strip/nugget things. The price is really great and my friends and I usually get 30 pieces, rice, and a lot of hot sauce along with some drinks. Definitely good “hangout” food and if you’re going to have a cheat day, this is how you REALLY cheat.

Southern Classic Chicken – Menu with Prices – 235 W 70th St, Shreveport

We read the reviews on this place last Saturday and decided to check it out for our ‘cheat day’ meal. Wow! We braved the torrential downpour and I’m very glad that we did! This is a drive-thru only place. We arrived to see the line of about 15 cars out onto the highway. As we made our way into the parking lot the delicious aroma of chicken frying in clean oil wafted through our vehicle vents. The line of cars moved quickly and efficiently. The young lady that took our order, Pamela M., was professional, fast, and very knowledgeable of the menu. Because we weren’t certain about the size of the chicken pieces we ordered a 10-piece dark, 1 chicken breast, 1 large coleslaw,1 dirty rice and 2 jalapeño peppers. The chicken was delicious! It was not excessively greasy, but well-seasoned, crispy on the outside, juicy inside and still hot when we got it home. The rice was spicy, moist, and tasty. The coleslaw was fresh, not excessively juicy, and crisp. I thought the amount of rolls were excessive, not remarkable, but good. We didn’t try the chicken breast until we served leftovers on day 2; OMG! This was the juiciest, best seasoned chicken breast that I’ve had in over two decades! I look forward to returning to this swanky spot on my next cheat day!

Borgfeld Bistro – Menu with Prices – 856 E Borgfeld Dr, San Antonio

Awesome staff! We had not tried this place and it was a last minute decision. Even though we walked in 40 min before closing and they were cleaning up the dining area they were very pleasant and had no issue with taking an order. The dining area was extremely clean and it was nice you could see into the kitchen as well. We placed an order of triple delight, general chicken, pan fried dumplings, fried rice and steamed rice. It did not take long and we were on our way. The triple family was excellent, it would not have hurt to add a couple more shrimp though. The generals chicken was great. We ordered extra spicy and it was pretty good ( they also threw in a side of additional sauce to make sure it was spicy enough. The dumplings were really good pan fried and perfect. The only down note was the fried rice as it seemed kinda bland. We will definitely be back!

A & D Buffalo’s – Menu with Prices – 3131 Manchester Expy, Columbus

Everytime my husband and I go to Columbus we have to stop at A&D wings. I love the sauce they put on the chicken. It taste kinda sweet and just so mouth watering. On yesterday 10/7, after a VA appointment I went and I had a taste for some rice. The rice is very bland I tried to put sauce on it it didnt work when i got to Auburn to the house i tried going in my own cabinet to doctor them up. I couldnt . The rice is just too bland they need to start putting sauce in it when the cook it or something. I know I’m a very great cook. The wings are great though.

Piri Piri Chicken – Menu with Prices – 7722 Jefferson Davis Hwy, Richmond

This place is super yum! I came here 3 times and missed a 4th while in town for a week and a half if that tells you anything. And that’s odd for me since I like variety. I think the half chicken is a great option – great price and lots of food: rice, beans, 2x corn/chile muffins, and a delicious half of a chicken!! Rice is usually blah but Piri Piri’s is good such that you actually want to eat it. The chicken – awesome! Especially when doused with their sauce. If you ask for hot sauce they’ll give you the piri piri sauce…which is great but on only slightly spicy. Tip: ask for the hot, hot sauce which is kept in the back because “not a lot of people ask for it” (I just don’t think they know about it). That one is actually spicy. I got the burrito too since I was told it was popular. It is very good but it doesn’t let the quality of the chicken/restaurant standout. My favorite part of visiting was Monica at the front. She was fun to banter with and super nice!

Smokin Chikin – Menu with Prices – 1820 Tiny Town Rd Suite A, Clarksville

I really like this place. It’s too bad I don’t live near it as I would frequent it. I ate there with my wife and two children. Cashier was super nice and helpful. On top of lots of variety of sauces for your chicken, they have lots of well chosen sides that I feel would allow most to find something that suits them. My wife got pulled BBQ Chicken with Island Fried Rice and Mac & Cheese. She enjoyed everything but the rice (to be fair, she isn’t a rice fan in general). I got 1/4 White Chicken with Jamaican Jerk sauce (OMG, AWESOME!), Island Fried Rice and Loaded BBQ Chicken Fries. As a lover of rice, I was pleasantly surprised as the rice was perfectly cooked. If you like a little heat definitely get the Jamaican Jerk sauce! With that being said, we were most impressed with the kids meals. They got pulled chicken spread on top of mac and cheese on a plate. It was SUPER yummy! My wife and I each stole a bite from the kids. If I’m in the area again, that’ll definitely be one of my sides.

Bonchon – Downtown Greensboro – Menu with Prices – 607 S Elm St, Greensboro

Bonchon is DEFINITELY a place you’re going to want to MONCH-ON next time you’re in downtown Greensboro! They are serving up some really delicious Asian fusion style dishes, and most notably, some of the better fried chicken I have ever had (that says a lot as a born and raised southerner)! My wife and I tried it tonight, and I just had to go home and write my review while the flavor was still fresh in my mouth. We had a variety of things from the menu… a small (10 full size tenders!) order of chicken tenders halved between their sweet sauce and their soy garlic sauce, an order of parmesan seasoned fries, and also a plate of bulgogi fried rice. The chicken definitely seems to be the star of the show here, and I can see why. Each piece was tender and moist with a great crunchy batter surrounding it. The soy garlic sauce was the better of the two, I was hoping for a little more pop from the crunchy sweet variety, but it was really good dipped in Sriracha! The bulgogi beef fried rice really exceeded our expectations, awesome tender strips of beef mixed up in deliciously spiced rice and a really good portion of it as well. The seasoned fries were nice and crispy and were another good thing to dip in the Sriracha, i personally would like even more Parmesan cheese sprinkled on top, but it was very good as is. We will definitely come back to Bonchon again and try some more of the great variety of dishes!

Teriyaki Zone – Menu with Prices – 4927 Evergreen Way, Everett

We LOVE Teriyaki Zone! They have the BEST Teriyaki Chicken and Chow Mein I’ve ever had! The rice is nice, steamed and fresh. It’s a cute little mom and dad shop and they’re so sweet! Kinda like going to grandma’s house for lunch/dinner ? They don’t speak very well English but it doesn’t matter when the food tastes this good and how polite they are! Back to the food; the Teriyaki Chicken has a good amount of rice to chicken portion and if you ask for extra they almost triple your chicken amount for $2 more! They’re teriyaki sauce is thin and delicious! They do go a little stingy on the sauce but have more on the tables for you to do yourself. (If you ask them for extra sauce they charge you fifty cents.) The chow mein had plenty of noodles and good fresh veggies to go with it that didn’t over power the noodles! The egg rolls are delicious, the pot stickers are pretty dang good too! Too bad it’s 9:40 pm now or else I’d be heading there now to get some more! ?

Bravo Bistro – Menu with Prices – 2560 Matheson Blvd E #121, Mississauga

Bravo Bistro’s tucked away in one of the office complexes off of Matheson and mainly caters to the office clientele. They serve kinda a polish/italian fusion so expect pasta, fried veal/chicken and perogies. It’s kinda interesting because Bravo Bistro serves things to you in a cafeteria sort of manner. I chose the veal parmesan with potatoes and perigees (the let you pick 2 sides). The veal was meh… it wasn’t anything crazy, just a piece of veal with tomato sauce on it. It was kinda tough as well. The perogies were pretty good. They boil them first and then fry them up for you in cottage cheese or cheddar cheese varieties. They have sour cream on the side if you’d like as well as an assortment of condiments. All in all you can get a lot better for the same price as the area is littered with places to eat.

Yogis Grill – Menu with Prices – 75 E Rivulon Blvd #108, Gilbert

This is not authentic Japanese food. Now that we’ve gotten that out of the way I’ll give a review of my own experience. I ordered a teriyaki bowl with all white meat. This dish is the most basic of Japanese dishes an American fast food establishment can make. Chicken, rice, scallions, and teriyaki sauce. I got all of that in my dish. The rice was hot and perfectly cooked, the scallions were cut fresh, and the teriyaki sauce tasted like teriyaki sauce. Now for the bad news…the meat. The bowl was topped with what looked like a thin (as in almost flat) chicken breast cutlet that had char-grill marks as if it had been chargrilled. The breast was hot but extremely dry. I’ve seen this lame attempt at chicken before at other restaurants who use one of those two_sided sandwich grills to reheat a precooked piece of chicken. It’s then sprinkled with chargrilled flavoring to fool you into thinking you’re eating a freshly grilled piece of meat. I took it back to the counter and asked if it was made fresh and thecashier told me it was. I then asked if she could clarify whether the chicken had already been cooked before I ordered it and then reheated. She confirmed that this was the case. I explained that this process will always dry out the meat. So she offered to cook another and confirmed to me that they would start with a raw piece of chicken. As it turned out, the new order turned out just as dry. I took a few bites and threw it away and walked out.

Fullhouse Cafe – Menu with Prices – 1077 S Kyrene Rd, Chandler

OK, I’m a little confused here. When I checked in on Yelp, only 24/7 Cafe comes up. However when I got my receipt, it says Fullhouse, but it does mention 24/7? Anyways, here’s my review! Wife and I was spending our New Years Eve at Lone Butte. Time for dinner and ended up here.I decided to cheat on my diet, yeah good idea for my new years resolution. Lets cheat on the first day of the year. So I ordered the Gila Fries. It’s chili Verde on top of their fries. This was an outstanding meal. I also had their chicken hot wings. This came with 10 wings, I ended up only eating just five, since I had the gila fries. Now the fries is prepared and cooked different here. With the chili on top of the crunchy fries, this was really great. The wings were excellent, I had them dry, with no sauce. Plenty of meat on the bone. Overall we had a good time, great meal, and great service.

Mad cow saloon – Menu with Prices – 6800 S I-35 Service Rd, Oklahoma City

They don’t know how to run a bar. They like customers to talk or interact with the band even when the band gets off stage on break to do so. They like to cheat musicians and have their goonies beat you up if you complain about anything. This place is cheap and they cheat people and drinks are watered down.

Jessy’s Pizza – Menu with Prices – 30 Farnham Gate Rd, Halifax

I don’t often go to pizza places as (like the last reviewer) I have zero self control, so when I do, I go for the single slice. Also, When I get pizza I expect it to be excellent because it is my cheat meal! I’ve learned that, at this location the best time to get a slice is between 2:00pm-3:30pm. During this time, you are getting the freshest slices just after the lunch rush. If you go then, the slices are awesome, cheesey, the sauce tastes like pizza sauce not too sweet, not too spicy and good amount of toppings. Following this time, however, I find the slices aren’t as great, maybe rushed for the supper hour? just aren’t as well put together. and late night…. stay away! It’s the left overs! If you are looking for a fresh slice.. They are Great! I rated it 4 because if you go at the right time it’s awesome! totally worth the calories. But they would have gotten a 5 if they were more consistant!
