I used to come to Cowtown Brewing all of the time because it is right down the street from where I live. They had great BBQ and great flights. But clearly something has changed. I went there night before last, on Wednesday and ordered food for a friend and I. The food was ordered to go and placed at the bar. I waited there and my food took a little while, but thatâ??s fine. When it did come out, it came out on a tray to dine-in, but the order was correct. I kindly asked if they could make it to go, they took it back to put it in to go boxes and I thought no big deal. It was probably 15 minutes and they still hadn’t brought it back out, so I was getting concerned because they literally had to put it in a box. Now, by this point Kim or Ken, I can’t remember his name, noticed my frustrated look and went to check on it. He went to the back and then when he came out the food was not even correct. I was missing sides, the food for two different people was put in the same containers, the food at this point is cold and dry after he opened every box and then had another server open every box to double check that I was actually missing stuff when I repeatedly insisted it was incorrect. He became frustrated and said he couldnâ??t pull up my ticket because I already paid so he couldnâ??t tell me what I ordered, even though I KNOW WHAT I ORDERED. So then he went back to get the rest of the food, at this point this food had been sitting around for 30 minutes. He almost suggested microwaving it and I lost it. I’m pregnant and it was late and I was already waiting forever and so I just asked for my money back. He wasn’t concerned and made it seem like I was causing this big inconvenience when I paid 44 dollars for cold dry meat and missing sides, no sausage in the mac and cheese and then brought the sides out in a single container when they were for different people. I was getting so frustrated because no one was offering to do anything, like I’m supposed to just deal with it. I ended up leaving in tears after he slapped 40 dollars on the bar and just said to take the food and heat it up at home. He then said he wasn’t a bad person, but it took me crying because of how rude and dismissive everyone was. It was a slow night and it would not have killed anyone to have made sure the orders were coming out fresh and correctly and to make sure their customers, the ones paying for them to be in business are taken care of, especially very pregnant very hungry customers. Will NOT be back.

The Coffee Store @tcsmiami – Menu with Prices – 327 Pierce St, Hollywood

This place is the worst don’t even waste your time, I wish I would of read the other reviews before coming here. As a local who lives on the beach I love supporting the new places that pop up but I will never again be walking in there until something has been done. We ordered 2 coffees, a regular 16oz and then the iceberg, they brought out a 12 oz and my iceberg was full of whipped cream. Whatever we can deal with it. Also ordered a banana and a turkey bagel breakfast sandwich Togo. They brought me the sandwich with 2 rotten bananas and asked which one we would like, neither gross. But after we said no thank you they never offered us anything. So being annoyed we left and took the sandwich home. My bagel was cold, full of lettuce and tomato and no meat. Wtf did I pay 23 dollars for? Terrible service and a screwed up order. After going back and explaining how upset I was and asked to speak to a manager they told me I couldn’t because he doesn’t understand English, then took my Togo box to the back and said nothing. I stood there for a couple minutes then just left. 23 dollars isn’t worth being upset, not only will I tell all the locals my experience here I will also direct all the tourist to Ocean Ally where they are always on point and have the best breakfast on the beach.

Animal Place’s Vegan Republic Menu with Prices 1624 University Ave, Berkeley

Am I seriously missing a review for this place ?!?! They offer all the great vegan options your other stores offer and so much more. There is a “healthy” chain store that recently was bought by an internet giant who will not be named, for years there vegan and gluten free goodies have gone down in quality. I was so upset that I couldn’t find amazing vegan yummies anymore until I came. Frustrated by the vegan selections at other stores? come here! concerned about where your vegan dollars are being spent? come here ! I like that I feel good abut myself after I’ve come here. The serves is always friendly, kind and trusting. I’ve never felt watched or uncomfortable by the staff, wich is big for a woman of color who is getting older and shocked that even my grey hair doesn’t earn me the respect of being trusted in some stores. The staff always has answers to questions or are supper helpful, like when I want to order a case of something through them. My latest find is the amies vegan and gluten free lasagna!!!! yum yum yum ! I could eat this every night. No other store I frequent has it. They often have vegan food pop ups on the weekend, though I wish they had a gluten free pop up ( they often don’t even offer a gf option at these pop ups ) The serves here is awesome and they’re always suprising me with what they ofer. If you’re looking for a more ethical way to spend your vegan and non vegan dollars come here! And try there raw chocolate almonds !!!!! It’s the best. Side note they’re the only place that used to sell locally made temph, I would buy 10 at a time It’s on hold for now but, I’m always bummed by bg chai temph and soy products so, it’s cool that this place is like a unicon finder.

The Bullpen on 135th Bar & Grill – Menu with Prices – 11316 W 135th St, Overland Park

This is the old Callahan’s under new management. Same bad and uninformed servers. Went in during the Chiefs game and ordered wings and nachos with a couple beers. Our server was pleasant but it took her several minutes to remember drink specials and then remember food specials. $5.99 for 5 wings is not special especially when they’re not crispy and chewy. The nachos were cold but good flavor. When she brought us the nachos, she said “I’m supposed to ask you if you want salsa”. They’re nachos of course we want salsa. She brought a bowl of marinara out and tried to pass off as salsa. After she brought the food, she then laid our check down. My wife said we’d like 2 more beers. She brought 2 more beers and the check again. We ordered another beer later and she brought another check and I said we’re here to watch the game so we’re not leaving. She then said her shift was over and we were like why didn’t you just say that from the beginning instead of playing drop the check 3 times. It would great if they succeeded but with the food prep and sane Callahan’s servers, good luck.

Yak-Zies Wrigleyville – Menu with Prices – 3710 N Clark St, Chicago

Decided to go to this place after looking inside seeing that it wasn’t very busy. We sat down, ordered drinks, put our food order in and waited for an hour before having to flag down the waitress to ask how much longer. She said she would check on it for us and came back five minutes later and said it wouldn’t be too much longer. She must have just put our order in after I asked about it because our food came out 20 minutes later very undercooked like they had rushed it out of the kitchen. Part of our order was missing and we asked about it and she said ‘oh that was the plate we dropped we’re making you a new one’ no apology or anything. Another twenty minutes go by and she still hadn’t brought the rest of our order. We asked to speak to the manager and explained to her that it was ridiculous how long we’ve been waiting for the rest of the food and she said ‘what are you waiting for’ and we told her and she rudely just walked away, never saw her again. We were waiting so long that we flagged down the waitress and told her to not even bring the rest of our order that we didn’t want it anymore and just bring our check. No one brought our check to us so I had to go up to the register to ask for it and to pay. Terrible management and terrible service. Will not be returning and advise others to avoid the headache of this place.

The Pub at 1802 – Menu with Prices – 1802 Spy Run Ave, Fort Wayne

The pub at 1802, we stop in almost every Wednesday for the last five weeks. Good drinks, good food, decent service. Tonight, what the hell happened? Started out joking with our server, Samantha, having a good time. Twenty minutes later, “oh, the bartender hasn’t gotten your drinks out yet.” Order food, thirty minutes later, forgot one of the sandwiches ordered. Brussels sprouts, burnt. My fish and fries were at best Luke warm. What the hell took so long to get. Server, “it’s the kitchens fault.” Okay, who forgot our silverware and to check in if we needed more drinks? Missing sandwich comes out maybe eight minutes later. Brussels sprouts go from a plate full to a cup full. No damage control. The manager, or the guy I think is the manager is doing shots at the table next to ours, never intervenes. Bills come, only one was correct, the others, had specials at regular prices. One was triple what it should have been. Finally, after very little bitching from our table, “hope you have a good rest of your night.” No apologies about anything, no comp for the missing reordered sandwich, no explanation on how the Brussels sprouts go from a full order to a cup full. The only thing I can say is we had six people, five cars in an otherwise empty parking lot, and that table and that parking lot will be empty next week and the next and the next. DISAPPOINTING!

Carson’s Brewery – Menu with Prices – 2404 Lynch Rd, Evansville

The beer is okay, I have had it at multiple local events and never had anything to complain about, but nothing to write home about either. However, at the last music at the park at Akin Park, the sign clearly read $4.00 for a single can, a bit expensive, but whatever, I ordered 2 cans for my wife and I and was charged $4.25 per beer. I wouldnt have had a problem paying the extra .25 cents had it not been clearly stated that the beer was $4.00. I had brought it up to the vendor and was completely ignored, then he shorted me five dollars on my change before correcting himself (thankfully I didnt have to correct him) and I was given the “correct” change (not counting the extra .25 cents per beer) after watching him count it out into my hands. I don’t know if he was just inebriated, but i wont be buying any beer from them again. It was a disappointing experience with a “C+” beer.

Marble Slab Creamery – Menu with Prices – 5555 Whittlesey Blvd Suite 1940, Columbus

So I ordered a BANANA split on waitr from marble slab and once it was delivered to me I took a few bites and realized there were NO BANANAS. Just in case I was missing them, I dumped the whole container out and I was right, there wasnâ??t a single banana. So I called the store and got the manager on the phone where she proceeded to tell me â??no there are bananas in there, the girl who made it has been here for 5 months she knows what sheâ??s doingâ? and kept fighting me on it and kept arguing with me about there being bananas in there when there were CLEARLY NO BANANAS IN THERE. I was super calm the whole time telling her â??Iâ??m sorry but I dumped the whole thing out and there arenâ??t any bananas in hereâ? but I was getting aggravated and frustrated because I never got an apology or a solution, just an argument. Then I told her â??look Iâ??ve ordered banana splits all my life from yâ??all since I was little and I know how you make them and I know yâ??all use a whole banana and split it in half and put it on the sides so thereâ??s no way Iâ??m missing 2 big banana pieces ESPECIALLY after Iâ??ve poured the whole thing outâ? she got quiet because I guess she figured that I knew what I was talking about, that I was a banana split expert, and finally said â??well I donâ??t know what you want me to do about it, do you want free ice cream or something what do you want?â? SUPER RUDE AND ABSOLUTELY MADE ME NEVER WANT TO EVEN CONSIDER MARBLE SLAB EVER AGAIN.

Vinaigrette Salad Kitchen – Menu with Prices – 1781 Sharkey Way #2028, Lexington

I REALLY hate to leave a bad review because the salads are incredibly good, and the majority of the time the staff is very nice. But, the order is never correct! I have spoken to a manager, and recieved a gift card, which was nice, but the problem isnâ??t solved. I always go in to order so I can watch them make sure it is right. And every time I have to say things like â??oh are you all out of this or that?â? As a nice way of reminding them there are missing ingredients. But when you pay $30 for a couple soup and salads, you really hope they are correct. I picked up one tonight and the avacado is missing… again. We go there all the time because it is so good, but I guess I am going to have to pick up in Hamburg instead of going down the street.

Urth Caffé Orange – Menu with Prices – 100 W Chapman Ave, Orange

I would first like to clarify that I always give the benefit of the doubt and I try to look at all situations before I ever complain, which I do not do often, but this is truly justified. This is the second Urth Caffe I have gone to. I went with family to the Urth in Laguna Beach, Ca and did not care for it. I gave another chance by going to the new one in Orange, Ca which was a worse experience. They have young workers who seem to lack experience. Or, possibly itâ??s the new generation of workers that just really donâ??t seem to care. We ordered a bowl of soup and a salad and sat for 25 minutes. The same people walked by us not ever asking any questions about us just sitting there with no food. People seated after us had their food before us and they ordered pizzas! The cashier was not much help either, so aloof and not helpful, acted like she did not care. This was the same experience I had in Laguna Beach. Like I said earlier, maybe itâ??s just this new generation of young workers that donâ??t have the same work ethics of the earlier generations or maybe Urth Caffe is expanding too quickly and thereâ??s no one following up with whatâ??s really going on at the restaurants. I had to ask twice about our food and someone did get the manager to come out and she didnâ??t say anything except that, â?? itâ??s coming out nowâ?, that was it…that was the managerâ??s comment to us. My soup came out cold which lets me know it sat while someone forgot about making the salad until we brought it to their attention. And as a manager, wouldnâ??t you make sure the food came out 100% correct after this experience. Had to ask for them to microwave the soup and the quinoa salad was missing two items, we had to ask for those. Also, way overpriced..avocado toast starts around $11 something and then to add on an egg and other things you can be up to $13+ in a minute. I wonâ??t be returning and I donâ??t think Iâ??ll give them another chance, there are too many other wonderful places to go with better service.

Telliniâ??s – Menu with Prices – 1515 Perimeter Pkwy NW, Huntsville

I typically love tellini’s however, this last visit made me very skeptical. They got my order completely wrong. When I brought their attention to the situation the manager came to the window, she asked what the problem was and I proceeded to tell her everything wrong with my order. She had a very rude tone and manner, as she asked for my entire order back so she could check it. She “informed” me i was wrong that was the correct order. I was missing one meal completely, I ordered chili which she said they didnt even have that night. So I fed up with the situation, just gave up and left. I really wish they would get in better staff!! Because I’m extremely upset. Like I said TYPICALLY I LOVE THEM!

The Lost Cajun – Southlands Menu with Prices 6105 S Main St, Suite 104-F, Aurora

Our first experience with Lost Cajun was years ago at the original Frisco restaurant. With the expansion of locations we were thrilled to get one in Southlands, we love the food. We have never had a bad dining experience there until last night. Our server was a pleasant, eager to please guy who somehow added a $13 item to our final bill when the card was run. He apologized and went to find his manager who had apparently stepped out…more profuse apologies. The manager reappears, server tells us the transaction is being deleted. Twenty minutes later we?re still waiting for a corrected check. The manager is wandering around, didn?t come talk to us, the server kept talking to him, the manager reamed the server…we?re still waiting! Server was so upset and frustrated, he offered to pay our bill, we told him no way. Another five minutes goes by the manager finally appears at our table, tells me the incorrect check was deleted, hands me his card and comps our meal. Thank you but we offered to pay, we were upset mostly at the way our server was treated. He clearly needed his manager?s authority to correct our check but was ignored and chastised instead! I felt so bad for him and I told the manager I didn?t appreciate how he was treating his employee. No apology from the guy. It wasn?t about the comp (we tipped our server still) it was the entire process or lack of in correcting the check and the treatment of his server.

Twisted Waffles – Menu with Prices – 1420 Annunciation St Ste 2117, New Orleans

We went opening weekend, there were some expected kinks to work out, so we waited and decided to give them another try today. BIG MISTAKE. We were the only ones there aside from staff. Promptly greeted, seated, and orders were taken, it seemed we were off to a good start. Then the food started to come, but only a couple of people got some of their food (we were a table of 5, 1 got their order, 1 was missing their side) We encouraged them to start eating so their food would not get cold, but it took a good 5 minutes longer for them to bring the next person’s food, which arrived without the lemon curd that was a key component of the lemon drop waffle. They rectified this once it was pointed out, but also had not brought out the accompanying side. By the time the last 2 people were served, half the table had finished eating, and the first person who was served and finished was now brought their side. The biscuit and gravy order that was one of the last to come out was completely burnt on the bottom, and the person who ordered it did not eat it. We had to ask for beverage refills, in mid-meal, and rather than check to see if everyone needed refills, only 2 people were given refills. Again, we were the only ones in there eating. So there are definite problems in the kitchen having to do with timing, making sure dishes are sent out with proper ingredients, and making sure they don’t send out burnt food covered by gravy. The service while friendly was not attentive considering the only people eating there had empty beverages, and a dish not eaten. The prices are not cheap, we gave them 2 tries, but this is not baseball, so we are not giving them another chance. Two strikes is enough for us to say You Are Out!!
