Coffee, Breakfast and service with a smile can all be found at Coffee Mill! This was our third visit. The location is super accessible for those who live in the Harris Ranch area as well as North East Boise area. Their coffee menu seems to be a bit limited although the beans used are very good. I’ve tried the fresh brewed coffee with a little bit of cream and it’s tasty. I’ve also tried the Bogus Basin latte drink along with other holiday flavors offered. They were wonderful as well. The pastries are from Gaston bakery, which is located in Boise – west Overland Road. They’ve never disappointed especially the ham and cheese croissant – yum… very good! They do offer other breakfast items, as well as a short lunch list of items to munch on. One thing that makes it great to visit over and over is the great service. Very friendly staff who help to get your day off to a wonderful start! A coffee stop for sure!! Thanks Coffee Mill – keep up the good work.

The Bakery Mill – Menu with Prices – 1143 NW 76th Blvd, Gainesville

During my college years, some 25 years ago, I would get great muffins from a place called The Mill. While visiting I looked up the place to no avail but this place, Mill Bakery and Deli, hit the spot. Their selection of muffins were great and my Blackberry choice hit all the necessary gooey and yummy notes to satiate my needs. My breakfast sandwich, croissant sausage and cheese, brought me out of my sleep mode without being overwhelming. Plus, the serverâ??s question of if I wanted ketchup â??forcedâ? me to get a side of hash browns. Great choice Bob or Don or whatever you courteous and helpful server was! My wife had â??not too eggyâ? French Toast with a side of ham that she thoroughly enjoyed. Plus a couple muffins to go. Oh, the coffee was good and hot. All in all, my new favorite Hogtowne breakfast spot.

Pesto’s Pizza Shop Menu with Prices 5026, 7802 W Goddard Rd, Boise

I won’t make this a long one. Whenever I say that, it ends up being a novel, lol. I’m HUGE on finding great pizza spots in Boise because being from NY…Pizza is just in our blood, haha! And finding good pizza places outside anywhere in NY…is tough. And hello, Boise lol. So I’ve heard about how “amaaaazzziiiiiiing” this place is. That was definitely stretching the truth a bit. Is it good? Of course it is. Is it Boise’s best tho? Hell nah! Drive your ass over to NY Giant Pizza on Overland….THAT’S where you’ll find Boise’s LEGIT….BEST. PIZZA. Pesto’s is good tho and it’s a drive through pizza place. Kinda odd..especially if you’re alone, starving, but can’t eat a slice of pizza because ya know….you have to drive and all lol. Hell, we ordered and sat in the parking lot and that shit was still hard to eat and enjoy, haha! The concept is cool tho. I mean, I’m not sure what else to say. It’s decent pizza and if you’ve never been outside Idaho and Pesto’s is “the best pizza you’ve ever had” then, I feel sorry for ya’s because you’re missing out, hahaha! I’d put this place in like 4th or 5th best pizza in Boise…maybe 6th or 7th hahaha! Most who have tried it, love it. But I’m super picky with pizza because I know what good pizza tastes like. Anyway, give it a try ? You’ll enjoy it, but you’ll see what I mean ? Thanks every Yelperedtudes!! Cheers!

The Wooden Spoon – Menu with Prices – 4671 Indian Creek Pkwy, Overland Park

Visiting KC/Overland Park from Minnesota for a baseball game, we were looking for a breakfast spot on Saturday morning before heading over to “the K” for the Royals-Twins game. We knew we had the “usual suspects” for bagels and coffee at one of the chains, but were looking for something new and different. Found Wooden Spoon (on Indian Creek Pkwy) near our hotel in a Yelp search, and were not disappointed. My wife had the egg & croissant (with sausage) sandwich and I ordered the “Angry Irishman” (home-made corned beef hash topped with cheese & country gravy, with juuust enough chopped jalapenos so you know they’re there. Just right). Perfect. And good coffee, not too strong, not too weak, and perfectly fresh. Chatted with the owner about things to do around KC during our quick baseball weekend, and really have never felt more welcome in a new town (wearing our opposing team T-shirts). Maybe it’s a KC ‘thing’. But Wooden Spoon Indian Creek is a cute, clean, smallish spot with a talented kitchen, creative breakfast, good service and just plain friendly. Ignore the lure of the familiar chains, and stop here for breakfast. They have two locations in OP. Indian Creek & College Ave. Just off 435.

Dawson Taylor Coffee Roasters Menu with Prices 1035 S Lusk St, Boise

My team works out of our Boise office twice a month and we typically stay at a hotel nearby, which is great because it is a short walk to Dawson Taylor. First time I had a coffee here I was blown away – they have coffee from all over the world, but the difference is in the flavors. I am not very educated on coffee drinking, but I can say the coffee I had here was so enjoyable, I told my team about it, and now we stop here every morning. They have a small selection of pastries and various toasts – which is fine, but not the reason I come here. I buy freshly ground coffee and bring it back home with me, and I intend to continue this routine for as long as I visit Boise. The other thing – if you’re looking for a place to work, yes, there is wifi, but there isn’t a ton of space, so just keep that in mind, as if it were to get busy, you would have trouble finding a place to sit.

Buon Pane Italiano ESPANOLA WAY – Menu with Prices – 1436 Washington Ave, Miami Beach

This place rocks. My wife and I were spending a few days pre-cruise just a block away and stumbled upon this small but incredible little bakery/coffee stop. I’ve never been much of a coffee or cappuccino drinker, but this place may have changed me forever. Outstanding cappuccino, and all of the bakery items were fresh and very tasty, especially the heated spinach and cheese pastry. The croissant was very fresh as well. Our barista/server was a really friendly and cool Italian gentlemen and was fun to chat with. Check this place out-you will not regret it. Can’t wait to try it for breakfast at every opportunity our next visit…

Republik Coffee Lounge – Menu with Prices – 854 E Green St, Pasadena

I am fairly excited to learn a new coffee shop just opened (June 2019) in Pasadena and I recently came here to grab a quick bite. I found a street parking spot on S. Hudson Ave (about one block away) and street parking is free on Sunday. The shop was pretty crowded at 3 PM and unfortunately they ran out of matcha croissant already. Interior decoration was trendy and their background music got some acoustic versions of pop musics. They have pretty limited outlets, but there are two Wi-Fi access points with the same Wi-Fi password. Their breakfast menu is available all day and lunch menu starts at 10 AM. I thought about getting a cup of Black Vanilla Latte (aka charcoal latte – one of their signature drinks), but I decided to order something I am familiar with – a regular cup of latte. *** Latte ($5): The drink tasted slightly more dark roasted than milky. Latte wasn’t as sweet as lattes from other places. Personally I prefer my latte a bit more milky with an extra sweetness kick to balance out the milkiness, but overall it was a solid cup of latte. Ham and Cheese Croissant ($5.95) – I think this coffee shop nailed their croissants down. Yes croissant was a bit cold, but it tasted great! Bread didn’t taste stale and it was one of the better croissants I have had in my recent memory. *** Make sure to take advantage of the Yelp check-in offer (10% off on food & drink order) because a $6 croissant is pretty pricey. I would love to come back here and try their other items next time I visit Pasadena! P.S. – You can easily sign up for Republik’s rewards program by entering your phone number during the check out (earn 1 point for each visit with $1 minimum purchase – 10 points = one free item from 14 qualifying items).

Black Bear Coffee Company Menu with Prices 4300 Forrest Rd, Anchorage

I gave 3 stars but it’s a 3.4-star to me. Pros: – Service is great! The lady was super attentive and flexible to changes. Noted that it’s a coffee-shack, so there is no place to sit! DRIVE-THRU ONLY – The shake is heavenly! – The 12-oz breakfast burrito is great — I’m no expert to Mexican food but it was tasty from my standard. It has a nice load of cheese, potatoes, eggs and sausages. Cons: – Food are all microwaved so don’t set your expectation too high. @ The ham & cheese croissant is subpar — since it’s microwaved, it’s nowhere near crunchy and tastes like a Walmart croissant @ We also ordered a cinnamon roll — it’s humongous! The size of an adult’s hand! But it’s really plain and dry so we had to give up on it after some bites. – If you like strong/more bitter coffee, you will probably not be impressed by the latte here. I ordered a 16-oz latte and it tasted plainer than Starbucks’ 16-oz blonde latte. Adding an extra shot might help. Traveling from Boston, we think it’s a great place to try local coffee. Meanwhile, we would say we had seen better coffee houses.

Georgia French Bakery & Cafe – Menu with Prices – 3512 Satellite Blvd, Duluth

If I could give 10 stars, I would. It’s this little, unassuming hole in the wall bakery, and it will blow your mind. It has a cozy and authentic atmosphere. The owner is a French pastry chef, and he is super friendly. The prices are very reasonable, and all the pastries are out of this world!!! The lemon pound cake is dense and moist, and it is literally the best pound cake I’ve ever eaten. Living in the South, that’s saying something. The fruit tart is wonderful as well. The crust was crisp, the filling was very well balanced in proportion to the fruit and crust, and the fruit felt very fresh, because it wasn’t over glazed. The best for last: the bacon, egg, and cheese croissant. I took one bite, and just sat there. I think it took me 15 minutes to finish half of it, because I felt obligated to savor every bite. It was the perfect breakfast croissant. The croissant itself was light, crisp, and flaky. The eggs were made to perfection, and the bacon was delightfully crisp. My only negative is that the coffee could use an upgrade. As a barista, I’m admittedly picky about coffee, but the cafe au lait seemed amateur and the brewed coffee didn’t seem to be a great quality either. If you get a chance, go here!!! If you don’t have time to go, make time!

GRANNY DONUTS – Menu with Prices – 12341 Harbor Blvd, Garden Grove

This place is great! It is a family run business and i have been coming here for quite some time to grab the fluffy sugar coated treats that my team loves so much. They are always friendly and remember everyone’s names that come in! I always get 2 dozen donuts and a ham and cheese croissant when i come in and everything is always delicious! (you have to get the croissant! It is amazing and I have ordered that from many places but it’s the best here) One morning I was there at 5:00AM… He was surprised to see me; he set up my usual order and just handed me a ham and cheese croissant because he had just baked them and they were hot. At that time in the morning, I was touched by his gesture. I gratefully at breakfast that morning! You will love the taste of the donuts, love the service and you will definitely be back. Great place!

The Upper Crust – Menu with Prices – 7943 Santa Fe Dr, Overland Park

This is one of those small gems that can easily get overlooked! Saturday’s during the summer months I will occasionally wander down to Downtown Overland Park to the farmer’s market. Often times I get to park so that I walk straight down and pick up the few things I need before heading back home. BTW… the needed things listed above are Lettuce, Bread, Tomatoes, and Bacon. Bonus points if you can figure out what I am making! Anyway… this day I was killing some time and had to walk by this bakery. And made the decision to step in and see if there was anything I desperately needed… FYI… I don’t desperately NEED anything… And then I spotted quiche! So yes… a stop into a pie place for quiche aka breakfast pie! How could you do anything but? Now I will tell you I have had many quiches and yes mini quiches all over the world! Never have I ever had one made with sweet corn… tho Mid-West so shouldn’t be that surprised. And who knew?! They are delicious! The wonderful service topped this off as a great experience. Let’s see if I can give you some words to get the mental picture in your head. A cool summer day under the awning of this little shop. Watching people walk by with fresh produce and flowers. A wonderful person with a smile drops off a plate with a perfect slice of quiche centered on it. You take in the scent of fresh eggs, breakfast meat, pie crust, and spices. Then before taking a bite… lean back taking a large sip of fresh brewed coffee and watch some children playing with the new puppy that someone has brought out to walk in the park. Then dive in to a wondrous breakfast before hitting the boutique shops! Well folks that is about the best view I can give you of what I was doing at the upper crust bakery. I will happily go and do this all again! But, may try and make it by a bit later in the day for some pie that has nothing to do with breakfast! Hey! Thanx for reading and keep on eating! PIE!

The Mug Shot Coffee and Eatery – Menu with Prices – 205 S Sierra St #104, Reno

A little conflicted about this place. I like the location and the decor/ambiance inside. Seems like a place you could hang out in for a while and do work or chat casually with friends. Not super crowded both times I’ve been there, which is nice. Per the name, there are lots of mugshots of celebrities on the wall, which is fun. The have a mix of breakfast and lunch items, but the emphasis seems to be on breakfast. They have a super fun waffle/oatmeal/yogurt toppings bar with a lot of options. They also have a lot of options for coffee and tea. The one thing I don’t like is there isn’t a great option to just get a simple breakfast sandwich, like egg and cheese on bread. Their breakfast sandwich comes with meat and avocado on the choice of a bagel/croissant, which is lovely if that’s what you’re looking for but I’m a simple girl (and vegetarian) and don’t need all that stuff on my sandwich. Unfortunately they charge you the same price either way, so it ends up being $9 just for an egg and cheese on bread, which is kind of crazy. I can literally walk a block away and get an egg/cheese on an English muffin for $3. Also there is a discrepancy between the menu and what’s in their POS system because the menu board says $8 for a fully loaded sandwich and the system rings it up at $9, which I pointed out to the cashier. I think I’d come back again if I’m looking for a big fancy breakfast, but this unfortunately won’t be my go to daily breakfast spot, which is a bummer because I literally work a block away.

ZONE 15 CARRYOUT & CONVENIENCE STORE Menu with Prices 4102 W Belvedere Ave, Baltimore

Oh wow, what a wonderful experience! I only came here because my son was hungry and didn’t want traditional McDonald’s for breakfast, so I decided to find something on Yelp and execute. I did just that! I called, placed my order, it was ready in less than 15 minutes! I sent my son and to get his food and it was a masterpiece! You would not believe all the food I received for $5. $4.99 to be honest! My son got a side of bacon, eggs with cheese, grits, and potatoes. That food was so good, and the bag was perfectly packed! Everything with my experience from calling to order the food to picking it up was awesome! Cons- it’s in West Baltimore and not in the best part of West Baltimore. There are a lot of people standing outdoors but most of them won’t bother you. Very intimidating, and little to no parking. There are two to three spaces in the front. I would definitely visit this location again, during morning hours only.
