Iced hazelnut coffee anyone? This is the first time I’ve tried hazelnut coffee with ACTUAL coffee ice cubes in it. I absolutely LOVE this place. Like everything about it is awesome, from the atmosphere to the amazing coffee. To be frank, not many coffee shops open super early in the morning. However, Coffee Code has my back because they open at 6 AM everyday (except for Sundays). Other coffee shops normally open at 7 or 8 AM. Due to this, I end up going late to school. Thank God for Coffee Code and their opening hours, as well as phone call orders. One thing forsure is that the iced hazelnut latte is specifically the only item I order because hazelnut latte is just BOMB. What makes Coffee Code noticeable and very likable is that they also provide a great pastry selection, along with super friendly and amazing service! My two favorite baristas (Jurie and Elizabeth) are really warm and inviting, and willing to bring the best customer service to you. It’s refreshing to have friendly baristas in a hipster place when that is not always the norm. Additionally, I really love the combination of the vibe, the amazing drinks, and how inviting this space feels. The interior is also bright and modern space with several seating options including outlets for those hardworking students LOL. Overall, it is definitely a great place to work, read, chat. Thank you Coffee Code for the days I needed (still do) iced hazelnut latte. You guys really know how to bring delight to customers. I would say this makes one of my favorite coffee shops in Fullerton ?

Horizon Line Coffee – Menu with Prices – 1417 Walnut St B, Des Moines

I don’t take five stars lightly, but Horizon Line is the gold standard of coffee. My husband and I love trying new places, but this is one we make a point to go back to, or even drive to for the day. This place makes great coffee (we’ve loved everything we’ve tried) and makes you feel good. First of all, the no plastic concept – amazing idea and well executed. Please share your knowledge with my favorite Iowa City shops! There may have been initial hiccups, but we never felt them! Second, the price. I’ve found that my iced vanilla latte is under average price, which is especially amazing given the lack of plastic. I expected a sharp increase in price, but saw very little change, maybe a quarter or two. Finally, the actual product. Here, I usually treat myself to an iced vanilla latte and I’ve truly never seen it made like they do here. They use a martini shaker to mix and I think also to help make it colder before it’s poured into a glass container. All iced latte, no ice. Seriously, my favorite latte. Thanks Horizon Line, for your coffee, your sweet employees, and your conscious effort to save the planet. Can’t wait to come back!

Coffee Guy Cafe – Menu with Prices – 6700 N Davis Hwy, Pensacola

The Coffee Guy Cafe is AMAZING!!! Large, open atmosphere with AWESOME baristas and customer service!!! As a tea drinker, for years I was limited to Starbucks for my varied tea drinks. No longer! The Coffee Guy is closer to my business, and I can just walk over for goodies! The CHAI tea latte, LONDON FOG latte (with Earl Grey or Jasmine Green), and the MATCHA GREEN tea latte, all with soymilk, of course, are my faves!!! The oatmeal, soups (especially the chicken and wild rice), and chicken salad (better than Fresh Market’s) are delish!! I want to try the mini Belgian waffles!!! They look and smell AMAZING!! The chocolate, espresso cake is a super charged, appeased chocolate-craving, delight!!! Even though I’m not a coffee drinker, I LOVE coffee foods, and that cake does not disappoint!!! Gennessi is super sweet, amazing, and always remembers my preferences!!! Blake is the same and so full of personality, and super, super sweet! Everyone here is AWESOME, but bad for me, that I don’t remember their names! Luckily, she is here, while I’m writing this review!! Otherwise, others would be mentioned by name! I ALWAYS look forward to seeing the friendly baristas!!!

Simply Coffee – Menu with Prices – 940 N Lima St, Burbank

Didn’t realize that it’s been over two years since my original review and I’m pleased to say, that this is still my favorite coffee shop in Burbank. I used to come in a lot more frequently, having previously worked in Magnolia Park, but alas I work elsewhere these days. I still love this place, and the coffee they make and I swing by when I can. The baristas are still amazing and friendly. It’s definitely busier in here now, but they handle it so don’t be daunted by a line if you get there and you see one. Hazelnut White Chocolate is still a go to drink, but a regular cafe latte is delicious, as well as their drip coffee. Coffee dates with my girlfriend, are now going to be coffee dates with our daughter, so here’s to hoping that Simply Coffee is around many more years for all of us to enjoy!

Turks Coffee Bar – Menu with Prices – 1276 Commercial Dr, Vancouver

Cute little coffee shop on The Drive with yummy coffee and a patio perfect for people-watching. My friend and I stopped in here after brunch to grab some lattes to go. For me a vanilla almond milk latte and for my pal a regular vanilla latte. I loved my little caffeine fix. I’m not sure if it was the coffee itself, the vanilla, or the almond milk, but whatever those baristas did, I really, really enjoyed my latte. Seems like a great place to hang out and catch up with a friend or post up and get some work done. It’s quite small in here, so I can imagine that it would get full quickly, especially on a warm, sunny day. Overall, yummy coffee, friendly baristas, and cute decor from other local businesses. While there are plenty of coffee shops on The Drive, this one will definitely be one of my top ones to visit and recommend.

Black Dog on The Square – Menu with Prices – 567 Industrial Dr, Tallahassee

Black dog is absolutely amazing in all aspects possible. The owner is the sweetest lady ever that makes great conversation. Bring your pup and get a treat for him/her. If you get the chance to go and they happen to have their ginger beer kombucha, do yourself a favor and get it. This is by far my favorite kombucha ever and I wish it was a permanent menu item. Aside from their life changing kombucha they have amazing goodies. They have small lunch items, pastries, popsicles. They have it all. They are super vegan friendly as well. They have an assortment of alternative milks and vegan goodies. The baristas are so sweet and give great recommendations if you ask. Black dog is a great place to meet up with friends or study. They have wonderful patio seating and offer free WiFi. Black dog is by far one of my favorite coffee shops in town.

Caffe Luxxe – Menu with Prices – COUNTRY MART, 225 26th St, Santa Monica

This is hands down one of my favorite coffee shops in LA! Their lattes are always so delicious. And their iced coffee is unreal. It tastes so fresh and has an amazing bold flavor to it. I highly recommend ordering the iced coffee if you come here. I didn’t even need to put any sugar or cream in it. I love the artistic designs they make for the lattes. I’ve had everything from a pretty leaf to a gorgeous heart. It is a nice topping and it gives an artisanal vibe to the coffee. I enjoy all the baked goods they have here too! The mini alfajores cookies are so delicious. It’s an Argentinian cookie that is so delicate it crumbles in your mouth. It is covered in powdered sugar and the inside has this beautiful hazelnut flavor. I always buy these cookies every time I come here. If you’re looking for a nice place to lounge on the weekend with a warm cup of coffee in your hand, this is the place to go!

Java Daddies – Menu with Prices – 1118 Howard St, Omaha

This is the cutest place. I’ve been here maybe 3-4 times and everyone who works here that I’ve encountered is so sweet and welcoming, and they all make FANTASTIC coffee! My favorite is an iced vanilla latte, my go-to at any coffee shop, and their’s is so good with enough coffee flavor peeking through so it’s not just another crazy sweet latte like a lot of other shops make. 10/10 so good. Again, everyone in there is always so friendly and they make it a very comfortable place to sit and hang out or to just run in and get a quick drink. My favorite coffee shop downtown for sure.

French Truck Coffee – Menu with Prices – 650 Poydras St Suite 102, New Orleans

I am not a â??coffee aficionado or expert, I just know what I want and what I love. Anyway, before we start walking around the beautiful Garden District, we stopped by at this coffee shop. We ordered Iced Mocha Latte, Oji drip Iced Coffee, â??and a â??muffin. Iced Mocha – This is my usual order in any new coffee shop that I visit, it becomes my baseline. For this particular location, their Mocha Latte is different from other Mocha Latte that I have tried. The combination of mocha and espresso give this sour taste, I think the roast of the bean is light to medium with fruity undertone which I don’t mind but not my favorite. They also put a lot of ice, but I think you can just ask them for less ice. Oji Drip Iced Coffee – The process of making this coffee is a separate attraction which you can see over the counter. The coffee itself tastesâ?? like a combination of some kind â??of tea and fruit flavor, truly not in my alley but it was a â??refreshing taste for the summer heat. Muffin – I totally forgot the name, but the softness and deliciousness of it stayâ?? with me. It was just a â??perfect pick-me-up muffin. Space – They do have a good amount of tables and chairs, where you can hang out with your friends, working, studying or just people watching. All in all, it was an okay experience, coffee was refreshing not my favorite but the muffin was amazing. I recommend to give them a try, you will have your coffee fix and an Instagramâ?? post.

Texas Coffee Traders Menu with Prices 1400 E 4th St, Austin

I didn’t know that this was a must-visit spot until I randomly came across it! My boyfriend is a big coffee drinker and wanted to grab some coffee on our walk home from lunch. He found this on yelp and we headed over. It’s in a very quiet area a few blocks over from the main street. The inside is no-frills. They sell coffee beans and coffee equipment and there’s an area where the baristas are. My boyfriend ordered the vanilla iced coffee and it came out really quick. He loved the coffee! We would’ve purchased coffee beans if we had space in our carry-ons. They gave me a free latte since they were practicing latte art with a few cups. I thought this was really sweet of them! I added a little bit of vanilla syrup and it was amazing! I’m not a coffee drinker, but I know when I’m drinking a good cup. The cherry on top was the employees. They were all so sweet and funny. They all seemed like they enjoyed each other’s presence and made us feel really comfortable! Overall, I loved coming here and would definitely recommend it to anyone who is looking for a quaint place to grab a quick cup of coffee. FYI, they are not open on Sundays. S/o to the eco friendly plastic ?

Kunjani Craft Coffee & Gallery – Menu with Prices – 780 Seagate Dr, Naples

Coming from bigger cities, it seems like there’s not a very big selection of coffee shops, but Kunjani is probably your best bet at good coffee in Naples. Coffee here is quality (4/5). I had their latte and there is a good balance of the espresso and the creaminess from the milk with no bitterness at all. They also sell fresh roasted beans at a reasonable price if you like to make your own coffee at home. My only con in terms of the coffee is that they don’t seem to have a big selection for their drip coffee. Service is good (4/5). Very friendly baristas. Venue is meh (3/5). It seems like the two most common approach for coffee shops in terms of design are the minimalist/industrial feel or the warm/homie feel, with Kunjani choosing the later. My con in term of design is that there doesn’t seem to be a lot of seating available. In addition, I wasn’t able to find any outlet by any of the tables. As someone who mainly goes to coffee shops to get work done this is a big con. Overall, the coffee shop competition isn’t very fierce in Naples, but Kunjani is probably your best bet.

Nova Espresso – Menu with Prices – 306 St Anthony St, Mobile

Nova Espresso is one of the cutest coffee shops that I’ve ever had the pleasure of visiting! Created out of love by an adorable young couple, this coffee shop is more than you run of the mill coffee spot. The owners have poured their passion to create this wonderful (and super cute) “third tier” coffee shop, with some creative & delicious coffee that is worth a try if you are ever in the Mobile area. Coffee shops can be intimidating to the non-coffee experts, but the staff & owners try to make everyone feel welcome as they are happy to answer any and every coffee question that visitors may have! My personal favorite is the iced bourbon maple coffee, seriously the best iced coffee that I’ve ever had – this is on a whole new level that Starbucks will never be able to beat. The menu features a unique array, but if you are unsure you can always describe what you’re looking for and they will prepare a drink that best suites you! They are also stocked with yummy pastries and sandwiches from Southern National! Give this local business some love if you haven’t already!

Buon Giorno Coffee – Menu with Prices – 915 Florence St, Fort Worth

Love everything about Buon Giorno. I’ve been coming here for years and will keep coming back. I usually come for the coffee and rarely have their pastries, but the pastries I’ve had are very good, especially the almost croissants! As far as coffee goes, I’m an espresso guy, so that’s mostly what this review is about. Oh, except the smoothies. Whaaat!? The raspberry smoothie is the best ever! Simply put, BG’s espresso roasts are the best in town. They may not be supplying their beans to every other business in town, but they really know what they’re doing. I’ve experienced all four of their espresso blends numerous times, and I like them all in varying degrees. Autunno is my favorite, followed by Inverno and Primavera, then Estate (the boldest and oiliest) last. You really can’t go wrong, as they usually have Autunno, Inverno, or Primavera in their espresso grinder. Buon Giorno’s baristas know what they’re doing, and their staff is always kind and accommodating. I come in once a week to buy whole beans (for brewing espresso at home), and they are quick, happy, and personable. Even though I’ve been “home-barista-ing” it for several years, their espressos and cappuccinos always turn out perfect. Though I like the atmosphere in some other FW coffee shops, BG’s atmosphere is very warm and inviting. If I want some quiet time or just one-on-one time with my wife, BG is always our first choice. Wanna bring the kids in, too? We bring our three every once in a while, and they love the pastries and smoothies. They enjoy feeling welcomed in a “big people” establishment. To each his own, but as far as coffee shops go in the Worth, BG is at the top of my list.
