I have no idea why there is so much hype about this place. The food is nowhere close to being great, it’s good at best. I’ve been here probably 3-4 times now, have ordered multiple different things such as the tacos, burrito, tamals and so on. Today I went in for lunch and ordered a wet burrito with asada to go as well as a pork tamal. The asada in the wet burrito was way too over cooked to the point where it was crunchy and the rest of it was rice and beans and sauce. The pork tamal was pathetic… it was crumbly, dry and flavorless with no meat in it at all, and they’re $2 a piece. Lastly, I can’t say I’ve ever been to a Mexican restaurant that doesn’t have chips and guacamole. Why wouldn’t you have chips and guacamole to order at a Mexican restaurant? It’s absolutely mind boggling to me what exactly people enjoy about this place. I’ve ordered the tacos in the past and they’re boring and not one dish stands out and makes me really want to go out of my way to come back. You can get much better tacos from multiple other Taquerias. The service is also pretty slow, I waited over 20 minutes for a to go order with maybe a couple orders ahead of mine and from the looks of it, all of the food is precooked and ready to serve. Not sure why it takes so long to get, especially something to go. Maybe if I’m in a pinch I’ll come back but likely not, it’s not worth the wait or the money and can cook better Mexican food myself.

Taqueria Miguel – Menu with Prices – 3301 Broadway Ave #4837, West Palm Beach

Ordered 3 carne asada tacos and a large chips & guacamole. Took about 10 minutes. I didn’t mind waiting because that means it was fresh. I asked if the guacamole was fresh from today (before I ordered it) and he went and got the container, looked at it and said yes and even showed it to me. The tacos are good. They put a large amount of onions, cilantro and queso fresco. Their tortillas are interesting. Normally, Mexican tacos are served doubled up (2 tortillas) because of the thinness but theirs are actually thick. No need for two. The guacamole lacked salt but other than that it was delicioussss and I consider myself a sort of “guacamole connoisseur” lol. The worst part is there is no horchata to wash it down. It’s not the same to eat authentic Mexican tacos without horchata (at least for me)! Oh, and their salsa verde is in point!

Michoacan Taqueria – Menu with Prices – 3235 N Flowing Wells Rd, Tucson

We stopped here because we were in a road trip. We asked for mini tacos de vapor de cabeza. We ordered 11 tacos and the total was $33. Which I think was expensive. When I got my tacos, they weren’t even cabeza, its was desebrada and they were cold! The tacos were so dry and what got me mad is that it wasn’t even the meat they said. We asked for a drink, and they didn’t even gave it to us, we had to go ask for it. My parents asked for a carne asada burrito with guacamole. They were charged extra and the burrito didn’t even had the guacamole. It felt like a rip off!!! Don’t recommend this place at all.

Rancho Nuevo Mexican Grill – Menu with Prices – 5946-5950 W Bethany Home Rd, Glendale

This place blows every ‘bertos restaurant out of the water, you’ll never want to go back to them once you eat here! They don’t have a drive through, if they did, there would always be a line. Their burritos are huge! A great value for around $7- $8. Lazaro burrito is my favorite, it has beef, chicken, and shrimp w/pico de gallo and guacamole. I ask for extra guacamole and it’s extra satisfying! Carne asada burrito is my second favorite. With extra guacamole because avocados are very important with my Mexican food. Taco Tuesday! $1 street tacos. Need I say more? I love their hot salsa roja, they have a little salsa bar with everything you need to spice it up. There are so many things to try on the menu. I feel like it doesn’t matter what you choose, it won’t disappoint. It’s one of those places where you really can’t go wrong with anything you order! Quality and quantity factors are very well balanced! The prices are fair for both the quality and quantity of what you get. Friendly staff. Why go to any of the surrounding crappy fast food restaurants when you can spend just as much, if not less and have a very filling delicious burrito etc? I saved their number in my phone because I like to call in my order and pick it up. Easily a favorite burrito spot!

Roburrito’s – Menu with Prices – 227 N Prince St, Lancaster

We stopped in for dinner prior to a show. Full disclosure: I am NOT a burrito person. Give me quesadillas, tacos, etc. I just don’t like burritos, never have. I’ve had them many places and they just aren’t my thing. I honestly never thought I would like them either, until we walked into Roburrito’s. We ordered the Roburrito with everything. “With everything” means wonderful guacamole as well. We each got the chicken protein, even though I’m sure any other protein would be just as good. Our burrito was stuffed and yummy. They also have at least 10 sauces, which we tried most of. I particularly enjoyed the Pearl Harbor, just the right amount of heat. In addition we ordered a side of chips and guacamole. Their guacamole is just THAT good. They also get brownie points for having birch beer on tap. It’s a PA thing. 2 burritos, a side of chips and guacamole came to less than $19. We’ll be back, as I have a new found love for burritos.

Los Alamos Cocina – Menu with Prices – 1667 Summit St, Kansas City

I love hole in the wall places when looking for food. We were in the mood for a Mexican breakfast and decided to try this place out. Walked in and was greeted by the staff who were so friendly and patient with helping us to decide what we wanted. We started with complimentary chips and two different kinds of salsa (a green and red one). Both were a unique flavor than the normal salsa I’ve tried but were tasty. We also decided to get some guacamole which was made with super fresh avocados and was heaven in your mouth. I ordered a chorizo burrito with added rice and beans. The chorizo was delicious and the added rice and beans to my burrito was the cherry on top. I also ordered a small menudo. The spice on the menudo was just right and so full of flavor! I had ordered pan instead of tortillas and even that was amazing. Boyfriend had a 2 meat plate with what I believe was spicy Puerco Asada and Chile Verde. He was impressed which says a lot because he is picky with his Mexican food. Baby sis ordered a bacon and egg burrito that she enjoyed. I loved this family owned restaurant. I very much felt like I was at home with good Mexican food! Will definitely come back if I’m ever in Missouri again.

Sr. Alfredos Mexican Food – Menu with Prices – 1515 N Mountain Ave Unit C, Ontario

I’m really happy with this place. I never expected a good authentic Mexican restaurant to open in my hometown. I’m usually very picky with Mexican food (that’s not in San Diego, gold standard). They’re usually not authentic or not up to par in quality and or quantity. So I was happy when I stumbled on this place on my way to ding tea. It had exactly what I was looking for in a Mexican place. I ordered a carne asada breakfast burrito, which came w guacamole and the right proportions of meat and eggs. It was really good! Definitely satisfied my appetite. And the side bar, with the pickled carrots, onions, and jalapeños peppers is how it should be done! The only thing is there were only 2 types of salsas, which is not as much as I would want, but they were good salsa. Also the burrito was huge!…. but not tightly wrapped. Other than that, great stuff! Already here the second time in one week.

Pinch a Taco 2 – Menu with Prices – 5005 S MacDill Ave, Tampa

I was on this side of the Bay and came here on a whim for lunch. I grew up in Southern California, where burritos and tacos are abundant. It’s simple, flavorful, quick, and delicious and cheap. After living in Florida for 6 years I’ve pretty much given up on Mexican food… until now! The menu is simple. A few meats to choose from and you pick your delivery method (taco, burrito, torta etc. My first time here I had 5 tacos, a variety of carne asada, pastor, pollo asado, and shrimp. All 5 were magnificent. The meat was fresh and flavorful, served on a corn tortilla (flour is available too), with onions and cilantro. I got them to go and got both red and green salsa. After one bite I knew I finally found a taco shop. A few weeks later I had a carne asada burrito. It was. A similar experience as far as nostalgia. Beans, meat, guacamole, pico de gallo, and a little lettuce. I think I’d prefer tacos next time, but the burrito was amazing none the less. Both times I washed my meal down with a large horchata. It’s a sweet cold cinnamon rice drink. Trust me, you can’t go wrong. I’ll definitely be back soon, and looking forward to trying their ceviche.

Señor Taco – Menu with Prices – 1929 North Power Road #, 105 # 105, Mesa

Senor Taco is a taste-better alternative to the world of Filiberto’s and all the knockoffs. That single statement sums up the Senor Taco food line up, monster entrees and decent pricing. What you will find are burritos, tacos and other items that compare reasonably to Filiberto’s but are both better tasting and somewhat unique. The first time guest should try the carne asada burrito which is a strong item. People who are hungry could try the California Surfin burrito- a massive entree with carne asada, shrimp and French fries in a burrito wrap. Crazy fun and tasty. For those who can eat an entire cow in one sitting, I dare you to try to finish off a Senor Burrito. This double wrapped carne asada burrito with potatoes and lots of other goodies has got to be at least 2 lbs of shear burrito glory. Not for the weak. The chips are tasty, and the salsa bar is very good, well kept and fresh. The flavors are a bit spicier than the other fast food Mexican chains, but they are just perfect. I love the medium red salsa. Prices are reasonable, with most burritos staying between 5-8 dollars, but the monster teo I mentioned above range all the way to $10, which is still a great deal if you consider the humungous volume for those items. The staff is quick and polite, and your order will be ready pretty fast. Everything is made to order so it could be 5 min for some things but you’ll be eating in no time. This place is the best fast food Mexican available.

Taco Loco Food Truck – Menu with Prices – 3315 Bragg Blvd, Fayetteville

I finally found a place that has great tasting carne asada burrito and tacos. My tongue is calibrated with Cali/Mex food so I know when a Mexican food is authentic or at least decent tasting. I’ve been to couple of Mexican restaurants around the area trying their burritos and unfortunately most of them were just one-time encounter. Their burritos were not suitable for my taste. Normally, when I crave for burritos, I don’t go for the size, the taste matters the most- tiny or small so size doesn’t really matter. I yelped Mexican burrito nearby and it pointed me this place. I went after 1pm, and the place was not that packed. It’s on Bragg blvd and it’s a food truck, and it gets crazy busy with all these soulja brother and sisters during lunch hour. So, go there after 1pm. The service was fast. Burrito was perfect and huge; it comes with lettuce and a slice of tomato with sour cream on the side. Their tacos taste alright. The price was right. This is going to be my go-to for carne asada burrito. It was so good that one time I ordered one burrito to go. I think, they are not there on weekends. I passed by one time, and the truck wasn’t there. Service was fast. The lady was courteous, man she is very welcoming and greets you with smile on her face. I recommend this place. Now who’s up for burrito hunting? I am down all time every time.

El Burrito Rico Menu with Prices 4404 River Rd, Amarillo

Great burritos and tacos! Growing up in El Paso I consider myself somewhat of a mexican food expert. I love burritos and tacos and there is no place in town I like better than El Burrito Rico. They have a wide selection of burritos and tacos including carne asada (my favorite), picadillo, chile verde, chile rojo, barbacoa, carnitas, pollo (chicken), al pastor, and even tongue (lengua). I roll with the asada and sometimes add guacamole. To die for. Their tacos have the same fillings but on soft corn tortillas. Delicioso. They have breakfast burritos as well and they don’t skimp on the portions. They come with two eggs, cheese, potatoes and your choice of bacon, ham or sausage. They have two salsas–a red and a green. I always order both because I just can’t choose one. They are both so good (I probably lean towards the green most days). They are located across the street from Pleasant Valley Elementary school in a bright yellow building. There is no indoor seating only drive-thru or walk-up but it is perfect for a fast breakfast or lunch on the go.

Jugos acapulco – Menu with Prices – 10870 Katella Ave suite F, Garden Grove

The worst customer Service I’ve dealt with in a long time. So it was at about 715 this evening when my brother, my fiancee and I entered the establishment for the 1.00 tacos. I ordered 7 chicken tacos and a queso and jalapeno tamal and to wash it down an agua de pina. After waiting a solid ten minutes to get are food they finally called our number? After taking a bite from the smaller than average tamal my fiancee realized that it was pork and not what she ordered. Then After having to return the already bittin tamal and waiting an additional 10 minutes they finally brought out tamal #2 we thought forsure it would be the correct item but we were wrong! So now its been at least 20 minutes and we realize it was now a chicken tamal, still not what she ordered. After questioning why it was still the wrong tamal we were made to wait a good 3 to 5 minutes of stares and clueless looks. The cashier decides to come all the way to the table to ask what the problem was!?!?!?!? As if she was clueless to what was happening! Lol She didnt really offer any solution to the situation except t ok take the half eaten tamal alway and offer a “free” drink.i mentioned to her that that was not the proper offer considering all the wasted time and the ridiculousness of a free drink when there was sti a paid tamal unaccounted for. After a lil bickering back and fourth she financially stormed away while mumbling some that had the word refund under her breath like she had just been sent to her room! It still took an additional 10 minutes before we had to ask again about the refund before she finally got permission to give us a refund. Now its not about the 2.35 we got back rudely its about the lack of customer service and the lack of experience with customers. Id probably go back because i like some of there juices but it definitely won’t be this location. Btw she said her name started with a V. But i have a feeling she lied about that considering how immaturely she handled the problem.

El Pirata Seafood and Grill – Menu with Prices – 1241 W Memory Ln, Santa Ana

This became my go-to place for Mexican food for a little while! The food was delicious. The service was great. The price was reasonable for the quality and quantity of the entrees. However, the restaurant recently changed ownership and went downhill ever since. I used to order the carne asada plate. The meat was well-seasoned and proportionate to the pricing. They were generous with the rice and beans. The chips and salsa were perfect. The pick de Gallo and guacamole were on point. I would leave incredibly satisfied. The last time I went, I ordered the carne asada plate as usual. The meat was tasteless, rubbery, and the portion was skimpy to say the least. The rice and beans portion sizes were not even adequate for a kid’s meal. I felt robbed. Additionally, the waitress was overworked as she was apparently the only one on duty and completely ignored us for the second half of our meal. When she finally brought us another basket of chips 15 minutes after we asked for them, she just walked by and dropped the chips on the table without saying a word or asking how everything was going. I used to love this place, but unfortunately, it’s not the same restaurant anymore. Sad.
