Just left and so disappointed. My daughter and I love frozen yogurt. I saw the good reviews and was excited to find a place within walking distance to our home. For starters, everything was filthy. The yogurt was okay but nothing special yet it was the most expensive yogurt shop I’ve been to in Fresno. Service was pretty slow and although the seating was plentiful, the acoustics were horrible. Granted it was early out Wednesday and the place was packed with a dozen or so elementary kids and a few adults who were less than interested in supervising…but it was unreasonably loud. So much so that we left before my daughter finished her yogurt because I couldn’t take the screaming anymore. Needless to say, Menchie’s will be worth the short drive!

Franklin Avenue Mac House – Menu with Prices – 3428 Franklin Ave, Waco

Go on Wednesday! We got all 5 of the Mac Daddies for our family of 7 (3 adults, 3 kids, baby). Because it was Waco Wednesday, each one was only $5. We also got some lemonade. It was all delicious! We finished Big Jim first, then The OG, Mr. T & Uncle Rico tied and we had about 3 bites of Notorious PIG left. There’s a nice searing area shaded from the sun and making it feel like you aren’t right by the road. We went back for about 3 rounds of lemonade, which the kids LOVED. The staff were amazing, helpful, and so sweet to our kids! The bathroom was clean, adorable, had a changing table… It was great. The only thing we missed was a high chair, but we are still giving it 5 stars! We even wrote a couple post cards to grandparents and they will send them for us. The kids loved them and I know the grandparents will, too. Definitely worth the stop!!

Menchie’s Frozen Yogurt @ UMC – Menu with Prices – 2000 Canal St suite 100, New Orleans

Menchie’s is a cute little froyo spot with lots of flavor options and toppings. You pick your yogurt – and you can choose as many as you want, add your toppings and bring your cup to the cashier to be weighed. The shop is adorable, brightly lit and very clean. There are little sample cups on a tray near the yogurt machines so that you can try before you fill your cup, which is such a great idea. They add flavors all the time, and I always enjoy trying what’s new. I’ve joined the loyalty program and it’s been a nice surprise to hear that I’ve earned a $5 coupon every once in a while at the counter. The number of toppings is what impresses me most. I’m a sweets fanatic, so the candy, brownies, cookies, whipped cream and sauces turn my crank. They offer lots of healthy options too, but I couldn’t tell you what they are. When I go for yogurt, I consider the yogurt healthy enough. It makes me feel like the extra 500 calories worth of toppings don’t really count, since they’ve been cancelled out by the fact that I’m not having gelato or ice cream. They also have treats for little ones, like stickers, and fun trinkets. All in all, I really like Menchies. It’s a bit small so there isn’t much seating, and parking can be tough, as they share their lot with several businesses, but it’s doable on a “healthy” snacking day.

CherryBerry Self-Serve Yogurt Bar – Menu with Prices – 5107 S Louise Ave, Sioux Falls

Alright so let’s start off by a disclosure of stating that me and my wife enjoy our frozen yogurt one of my favorites is salted caramel it’s so good so anyway we go to Cherry Berry tonight who walk-in we’re both adults and children of our own it was just me and the wife tonight looking for some frozen yogurt to soothe our bellies we walk in and we see all the different flavors of yogurt now and it normal person that walks into a yogurt shop doesn’t always necessarily know exactly which flavor of yogurt they want to get so you get a sample cup like any other yogurt shop in the United States you get a sample cup so that way you can sample the yogurt before you buy the yogurt at $0.45 an ounce which is incredibly expensive you would think they can afford a sample now if you have people that are abusing the samples for employees serve the sample cups but don’t take the samples away not for anything but you just lost $60 tonight between myself and my wife that’s on you and if you continue this fashion just like all the other yogurt shops that have shut down in Sioux Falls your shop will be next so anybody looking for frozen yogurt don’t go here because if you don’t like what you get you can’t return it

Mini Galaxy Play Cafe – Menu with Prices – 178-02 Jamaica Ave, Jamaica

This is a decent indoor location for kids to play that allows adults to relax in arms reach. I found out about this place on kids pass, and came here twice. My 2 year old has a great time here, it’s a bit of a tight space but there’s many things to keep her occupied and not get bored. I like the layout with the cafe area for adults to relax in and get something to eat while the kids play. They have a variety of food and drinks to suits everyone needs. I would highly recommend this place for kids 4 and under. Anything above , or kids taller should not be allowed here. The space is too tight and they should have a limit on how many kids attending Or a certain age group time slot. The place does offer time slots. But when my two year old is running around, a daycare group of 8 children from ages 4-7 came in and demolished the place. It wasn’t safe for my daughter at one point where I had her play in a area where it’s sectioned off from the gym. To finalize my last visit, my child jumped off one of the high chairs which is made by hard white plastic/glass, and its tall so it tipped over onto the tiled floor where a tiny chip appeared. The worker tried to make me pay for the WHOLE chair . I refused to pay but still cooperated with him to work something out. I stated there should be restrictions for small kids to NOT use these chairs or they shouldnt place high glass chairs on cement floors around kids. It was BOUND to happen. But I’m glad my daughter or no one else was hurt and that’s all that matters. I don’t know if I will return here or recommend this for children older then 4 year olds. But it is a good place for the area it is in.

NOLA Kidsground – Menu with Prices – 5700 Citrus Blvd Ste D, New Orleans

We decided to check out the new indoor play place today. 5 stars for friendly staff, cleanliness of facility, and a coffee shop inside! Finally a kids play place that also thinks of adults. I took my 15 month old and she really enjoyed it, however, I think this play place is optimal for kids ages 2 to 8. She couldn’t really climb up on the big main structure just yet, but in the next few months or so I think she will be all over it. They do have a small toddler room which is great for the little ones to take a break from the main structure or if there are too many big kids around. They have a price for weekdays and a weekend price. They do not have a pay structure based on age. For that reason I’ll probably wait to go back until my daughter is a bit older so she can enjoy the place in its entirety. The cafe they have is great because they not only cater to kids by selling icees and juice but they also sell coffee for the adults! Too many of these kids places forget about the parents and their need for caffeine. They also sell La Louisane Bakery pastries – a great partnership! I’m a huge fan of indoor play places because it’s a great option for when it’s raining or a million degrees outside. This is another great option for families in the neighborhood.

Education Station Cafe – Menu with Prices – Eugene

I can not say enough wonderful things about the Education Station. I have three children – 1 in college, 1 about to go to college and 1 in high school We started with infant care and stayed for summer and school vacation camp. Why am I writing a review now? Because when we became an Education Station family in 1998 – (yes 20 years ago!)- there were no reviews, no ratings, no on-line photos. Just a feeling that these people genuinely cared about our family. We had to enroll on instinct – but I am here to attest two decades later that those babies/toddlers/pre-school kids were more than prepared for elementary school and have turned into incredible adults – smart, curious, funny, and kind. Traits that were nurtured and encouraged by their caretakers at the Education Station. We are so grateful for all they taught us (special shout out to Donna for getting all 3 out of diapers, and drinking from a cup!) and creating a second home for them. While choosing child care is one if the hardest things a working parent can do – rest assured that the Education Station isn’t just interested in providing a safe place for you child but an environment where they will thrive and create wonderful childhood memories.

Three Monkeys – Menu with Prices – 9556 Hamilton Ave, Huntington Beach

So bummed. My husband and I used to come here once a week and after I got pregnant didn’t come but it was the first place I wanted to go after the baby was born. We really wanted to sit at the bar so we went early and there was no one there. We had our baby in the carrier and asked to sit at the bar and said we want to sit in the corner so the car seat doesn’t intrude. We were told we couldn’t and had to sit at a table. I thought as usual regulars that was lame. Fast forward to our parents night out and there was a 3 year old with his parents at the sushi bar that was way more interrupting and obnoxious than our infant could’ve been. Strike 2. By the way, this is the female owner who said no to us sitting at the bar and she sat the said family at the bar later. Fast forward. We were there as a family and ordered about $100 worth of food and drinks. Then wanted to order a kids beef bowl to go for my oldest daughter who couldn’t make it to dinner. We were told they don’t do kids to go food. But we are sitting here eating and have ordered over $100 worth of food and drinks. All we want is to order more and take it to go. She was so rude I couldn’t get over it. As a family who eats at this establishment at least once a month and recommends it to friends I was so let down by the customer service here. Now I have to deal with my tired kid who all she wanted was a darn beef bowl. Needless to say I won’t be back here any time soon if ever. So much for treating your regulars good.

Menchie’s Frozen Yogurt – Menu with Prices – 1128 E Baseline Rd Suite 101, Tempe

Brand new Menchie’s in Tempe, AZ! Finally!! We can rejoice over our delicious froyo, as a morning meet-up spot, an after dinner hang out, or just a chill time to get out of the summer heat and enjoy a cool refreshing bowl of frozen yogurt. Yum!! As per usual, Menchie’s offers a vibrant locale and delicious, freshly made frozen yogurt. Their selections at this particular location are on point! And the decor is very modernized in comparison to some of the previous locations. This location is situated within the Plaza Collective along Baseline Road in Tempe. It’s in between Scramble and the Alamo Drafthouse Cinema. Honestly this is a wonderful spot to spend a day! Have breakfast at Scramble, take a break for yogurt, and head over to the Alamo to catch a movie ? Personally, I enjoy the Menchie’s experience. The staff treat the guests with kindness and a genuine enthusiasm. I love how the staff are willing to let you sample new flavors and combinations. They really make your day. Thank you Menchies!

Fat Boy’s Pizza – Menu with Prices – 2565 Metairie Rd, Metairie

OK this is tough one because I visited twice in 4 days. If I would have gave a review after Wednesday’s visit it would have def been 5 stars But after Saturday’s visit 3 is the max I can give. Consistency is the key to food in any restaurant. But there’s the catch….Wednesday my wife, son and daughter in law ordered a 18″ pep and cheese pizza. It’s was incredible, thin cheesy and had a fresh tomato and garlic sauce. The taste was so New York. So then we took our daughter after picking her up from the NOLA airport. We ordered the Big slices of pizza. The bill came out to be more than the 18″ pizza. My pep and cheese was the most tasteless pizza I have ever eaten. NO FLAVOR what so ever! Totally different than Wednesday! But Why?? I had no clue. I will becer eat to BIG slice again. There motto is true “Size Matters” My wife had the Fat Boy slice and it was average….Italian sausage or ground beef was very over cooked. My daughter had the Thin Boy and it was great. So I might try again but will stick to the 18″ pizza. Sometimes bigger is not always better. Wish we would have stuck to the 18″

Sugar Shack Donuts & Coffee – Menu with Prices – 801 William St, Fredericksburg

VVVVVVVEEEEEEEGGGGGAAAAAANNNNNNNN DOUGHNUTS. I was ecstatic. Oddly enough, though, the employees reminded me of my local Sugar Shack (which RIGHTFULLY closed down) in Cocoa Village back in Florida. Kinda…distant…seemed to be fighting themselves not to be short with us. We’re excited, indecisive tourists ordering a dozen doughnuts, sorry we don’t know what your UNLABELED stuff is called. When we closed out the transaction, the employee said ‘have a nice week’ and we took it to mean ‘don’t come back for a week’. It just came off odd. Wonder if that’s the local vernacular. Instead of ‘have a nice day’ it’s ‘have a nice week’. Oh well. The doughnuts were AMAZING. Every single one was loved by all parties. The kids, the picky adults, the vegan, everyone! Very glad we stopped here. Would recommend!

Menchie’s Frozen Yogurt – Menu with Prices – 3131 S Market St Ste 111, Gilbert

This was my first visit to Menchie’s and unfortunately it will probably be my last. The selection of flavors was a bit lacking compared to other frozen yogurt shops I’ve been to. Not seeing any flavors that really tickled my fancy, I went with the ol’ standby – chocolate and vanilla. My fiancé and her kids were a bit more adventurous and got some of the other available flavors. After paying, we sat at a couple small tables and dug in. I instantly didn’t like the flavor of the chocolate or vanilla as both had a very tart sour taste to them. So much so that I could not enjoy the rest of the frozen yogurt and threw it out. The kids (12 and 15) said it was “okay, but a little sour.” I was relieved to find out that my taste buds hadn’t failed me. As we all headed home, we decided that it was a 2 star experience. While the shop was nice and clean, the frozen yogurt was not very good at all. A 3-star rating would warrant another try, but it was unanimous that no one would really want to go back for sour tasting frozen yogurt.

Kids in Sports – Menu with Prices – 2777 Bristol St, Costa Mesa

My kids love this place! We had my Son’s 5th birthday party and everyone (kids and adults) had a blast. Both of my Son’s are enrolled in the Saturday program. They focus on one sport for a couple of weeks and then change it up to another one, giving the kids an opportunity to learn different skills associated with different sports, such as soccer, basketball, baseball to name a few. The location is very clean and all the coaches are friendly. Cannot say enough wonderful things about Kids In Sports!
