Omg the food here is SO GOOD! I was first intrigued by the Bulgorrito and when I finally decided to try one, I was blown away by the flavor! First off, this is like a 2 pound burrito full of meat, rice and other goodies. At $9 a burrito, this is an insane amount of food for the price and most people won’t be able to finish the whole thing. I can barely finish half but it makes for great leftovers later! The Bulgorrito is the sweeter, less spicy of their fusion burritos. If you’re looking for something a little spicier, try the Flaming Boar! It’s filled with spicy pork and pickled daikon. I’ve read some reviews saying you can request beef instead of pork which would also be amazing! One of their new burritos is the Huli Chicken and Dumpling Burrito and it is bombbb! Their chicken potstickers are also bomb! 8 potstickers for $4 is a killer deal. If you’re looking for something a little different, give Chop Express a try!

Volcano Cafe – Menu with Prices – 4215 Spring Mountain Rd #b106b, Las Vegas

I absolutely love this place cause the drinks are good and very affordable and I enjoy their fries and potstickers whenever I want some finger foods to go with my drinks. But I came in last night and tried their spicy chicken since their cashier recommended it cause I was having a hard time deciding whether I should order their wings or popcorn chicken and honestly, it was a bad recommendation. It was super dry and hard. The chicken looked as if it was either fried for too long or re-fried. Look at the picture and you can tell that it was bad. I ordered potstickers too and that was good but the spicy chicken really is just not worth it. We didn’t even finish it even though I was trying to cause why waste money? But I really couldn’t finish it. My bf tried helping me and it was just bad lol so we ended up throwing it away But service is good even though they were busy. Their drinks are always great & the boba was soft. I’ll just stick to my usual fries and potstickers with my milk tea here. OH and there was a random French fry with our spicy chicken like…. wth lol

Carlitos’ Way Mexican Fresh Food – Menu with Prices – 8908 Elder Creek Rd, Sacramento

I went here to excited because there were a couple reviews that said this place has the best breakfast burritos in town and when I finally started eating it was a huge disappointment. This burrito tasted like it was made for an Irishman who loves bland food – by the way I’m Irish. This burrito was stuffed, but I don’t think the chef every heard of spices because of there sure as hell wasn’t any Mexican spices in any of the burritos contents or any other spices for that matter. Whoever thinks this is the best breakfast burrito doesn’t actually like Mexican food or have a clue what it should taste like. I won’t call it the best burrito in town but the best breakfast burritos I’ve ever eaten are at La Favorita on Florin Rd – they are actually IMO mind-blowingly good especially their carnitas breakfast burrito.

Bernardos Burritos – Menu with Prices – 215 4th St, Des Moines

First-rate burritoria right in downtown! Note that this is in a basement between Fong’s and the Copper Cup (you might miss it otherwise). I was especially pleased that a. the hot salsa had some kick and b. I was able to take my burrito over to the bar, sit and watch Tour de France and order a beer while I ate my burrito. The prices are a bit more than the typical burritoria experience, but given the quality and location, it seems reasonable. I think I paid $8 for a Carnitas burrito, which as noted is a bit high, but I’m definitely going back. Regarding Carnitas, even though I normally avoid meat, I have a weakness for Carnitas and almost always order Carnitas burritos when I visit this type of burrito restaurant, which means I have a fair measure for comparing from one place to another (although biased if they do the carnitas itself well or poorly – it’s a style of cooking pork). I think this is the best burrito I have had in Iowa (I know 2-3 places in California that consistently have better Carnitas burritos and the other places I frequent in California have Carnitas burritos comparable to Bernardos – including the place I eat burritos most often for convenience when there.)

The Burrito Shop – Menu with Prices – 5359 College Ave, Oakland

I love this place! I eat here about once a week, and I’ve rarely had a less-than-stellar experience. The food is always authentic and pretty great (with a little variation based on who makes your burrito etc) and the servers are always very helpful (especially if you do basic human things like say please and thank you). Cost is comparable to what you would pay at a regular street-side taco truck in the area, but the quality is consistently higher. There are lots of ways to customize your burrito/your order for a few extra bucks. My go-to order is a Spicy Pork Super Burrito (with guacamole of course), but I also really like the different burritos off their ‘gourmet’ menu. The portion sizes are always a little more than I expect for the price. $8-12 dollars for a huge super burrito with all the trimmings is a solid deal. Yes, just like at every other Mexican restaurant in America, guacamole is always extra. It’s been there since 1979, but I feel a little bad for this hole-in-the-wall shop designed for grabbing a quick bite, because now it sits near along a row of relatively upscale restaurants, in a part of town where you’re either pretty rich or pretty poor. So it’s pretty expensive to operate there, and the authentic food is cooked and served by authentic Latinas, but some people try to get free stuff by complaining about their order after eating 3/4 of it (I’ve seen it happen twice) OR they leave low-star reviews for very dumb reasons (like playing mariachi music, or not being immediately understood by an ESL cook). It’s The Burrito Shop, not Le French Burrito Palace or Uncle Joe’s American-Style Burritos, and if you’re not spoiled rotten by Ubersnob food or hunting for a free meal then you should try this place. I recommend the burritos.

La Colonial Tortilla factory – Menu with Prices – 212 N Copia St, El Paso

Outstanding burritos and tortillas! My mouth is watering from thinking about their freshly made burritos and tortillas. These burritos and tortillas are probably some of the best in town. Their tortillas are light and fluffy, straight up perfection! My favorite burrito is the picadillo. The ground beef has a great flavor. It tastes even better when you add some red or green chile in it. Watch out, their burritos are on the small side so you might be able to eat two or three at a time. I’d like to try their chile relleno burrito but I haven’t yet. I’m also interested in trying their tostada chips and chile con queso. I hear La Colonial sells out of their burritos fast so you have to go by 9 or 10 am. You can also call in your order. There’s nowhere to sit so you’ll have to eat in your car or destination. Take some cash too. Aside from burritos, they have tamales, tostadas, tacos and the prepared masa to make tamales at home. They close by 2 pm on weekdays and they aren’t open on weekends. Imagine if they closed later and opened on weekends?

On the Fly Sandwiches & Stuff- – Menu with Prices – 655 W Adams St, Jacksonville

I write this review with a heavy heart. I’ve debated quite extensively whether or not to leave this review but my experience is what it was. I’m not a hater. I have no agenda. I can only express my experience and what happened. Access to this food truck is great! From my office, it’s within walking distance. They also have a limited “dine-in” area where you can sit at tables. Very cool. I ordered the “cheesy wet burrito” or something labeled similarly. My burrito had skrimp and pulled pork. I was explained that the burrito was $10 for chicken, $12 for half skrimp and pulled pork or half skrimp and chicken, and $14 for ALL SKRIMP. I chose half skrimp and half pulled pork. 12 bones later, I waited for my burrito anxiously!!! After a hot minute, I received my burrito. I reckon a highlight of my burrito was the sweet On The Fly sauce on the burrito. However, being a burrito aficionado, this burrito was subpar at best. The only thing making my burrito an actual burrito was the fact that it was wrapped in tortilla. The burrito had skrimp, pulled pork, corn, and beans. 4….separate…flavors. On top was tomatoes, sour cream, On The Fly sweet sauce, and avocado. Next to the burrito was shredded lettuce. The burrito was just ok and edible but by no means amazing or epic. For $12, I expected a lot more; more flavor and more cohesion. I’ll give this food truck another chance by ordering something else but if you’re feigning for a burrito, your desire won’t be satisfied. Please don’t let my review deter you from ordering from this food truck. Most people seem to like this place. Maybe I didn’t order the right food item. I do plan to visit again and try something else and I promise to update my review accordingly.

Roburrito’s – Menu with Prices – 227 N Prince St, Lancaster

We stopped in for dinner prior to a show. Full disclosure: I am NOT a burrito person. Give me quesadillas, tacos, etc. I just don’t like burritos, never have. I’ve had them many places and they just aren’t my thing. I honestly never thought I would like them either, until we walked into Roburrito’s. We ordered the Roburrito with everything. “With everything” means wonderful guacamole as well. We each got the chicken protein, even though I’m sure any other protein would be just as good. Our burrito was stuffed and yummy. They also have at least 10 sauces, which we tried most of. I particularly enjoyed the Pearl Harbor, just the right amount of heat. In addition we ordered a side of chips and guacamole. Their guacamole is just THAT good. They also get brownie points for having birch beer on tap. It’s a PA thing. 2 burritos, a side of chips and guacamole came to less than $19. We’ll be back, as I have a new found love for burritos.

Tom’s Tacos – Menu with Prices – 4669 Torrance Blvd, Torrance

This is Tito’s Tacos from Culver City, but way smaller, less crowded, and more convenient for those in South Bay. CASH ONLY! CASH ONLY! Lots of parking. CASH ONLY! As I noted in my Tito’s Tacos review, I am not a huge fan of the tacos. However, I really dig Tom’s burritos ? The bean and cheese burrito in particular. I’ve tried the burrito with the meat, rice, etc. as well, but what it all comes down to in the end is that the beans are stellar (lard-tastic) and the cheese combines to make goodness. I usually get some of the liquid guac and salsa and combine it with the burritos for a little extra flavor, but they are good without too. The chips are decent, the burritos are definitely messy, the ordering experience is way easier than Tito’s, but the burritos (to me and my wife) are awesome. Looking forward to going back for some nostalgic flavor from the Culver City days ?

Señor Taco – Menu with Prices – 1929 North Power Road #, 105 # 105, Mesa

Senor Taco is a taste-better alternative to the world of Filiberto’s and all the knockoffs. That single statement sums up the Senor Taco food line up, monster entrees and decent pricing. What you will find are burritos, tacos and other items that compare reasonably to Filiberto’s but are both better tasting and somewhat unique. The first time guest should try the carne asada burrito which is a strong item. People who are hungry could try the California Surfin burrito- a massive entree with carne asada, shrimp and French fries in a burrito wrap. Crazy fun and tasty. For those who can eat an entire cow in one sitting, I dare you to try to finish off a Senor Burrito. This double wrapped carne asada burrito with potatoes and lots of other goodies has got to be at least 2 lbs of shear burrito glory. Not for the weak. The chips are tasty, and the salsa bar is very good, well kept and fresh. The flavors are a bit spicier than the other fast food Mexican chains, but they are just perfect. I love the medium red salsa. Prices are reasonable, with most burritos staying between 5-8 dollars, but the monster teo I mentioned above range all the way to $10, which is still a great deal if you consider the humungous volume for those items. The staff is quick and polite, and your order will be ready pretty fast. Everything is made to order so it could be 5 min for some things but you’ll be eating in no time. This place is the best fast food Mexican available.

Taco Del Mar catering – Menu with Prices – 8004 Greenwood Ave N, Seattle

Oh. My. God. Have you ordered anything from TDM recently? Well, I unfortunately did. I have been eating TDM burritos for 20 years and I have always LOVED them. Well, I ordered the exact same thing I do every single time, and for some reason my burritos came with a hideous creamy disgusting smoky (chipotle perhaps?) sauce—smothering the burrito. Couldn’t even pick it up, it completely fell apart. Also, TDM has always been very generous with chicken and I literally had a hard time even finding any in my burrito. To make matters worse, when I called to inquire about this “sauce” they said they hadn’t put anything like that on them, and said “maybe it’s the sour cream”. Right….idiots, do you think I don’t know what sour cream tastes like? So disappointing!! Taco Del Mar–I will miss you :’-(

Taco Loco Food Truck – Menu with Prices – 3315 Bragg Blvd, Fayetteville

I finally found a place that has great tasting carne asada burrito and tacos. My tongue is calibrated with Cali/Mex food so I know when a Mexican food is authentic or at least decent tasting. I’ve been to couple of Mexican restaurants around the area trying their burritos and unfortunately most of them were just one-time encounter. Their burritos were not suitable for my taste. Normally, when I crave for burritos, I don’t go for the size, the taste matters the most- tiny or small so size doesn’t really matter. I yelped Mexican burrito nearby and it pointed me this place. I went after 1pm, and the place was not that packed. It’s on Bragg blvd and it’s a food truck, and it gets crazy busy with all these soulja brother and sisters during lunch hour. So, go there after 1pm. The service was fast. Burrito was perfect and huge; it comes with lettuce and a slice of tomato with sour cream on the side. Their tacos taste alright. The price was right. This is going to be my go-to for carne asada burrito. It was so good that one time I ordered one burrito to go. I think, they are not there on weekends. I passed by one time, and the truck wasn’t there. Service was fast. The lady was courteous, man she is very welcoming and greets you with smile on her face. I recommend this place. Now who’s up for burrito hunting? I am down all time every time.

Rancho De Mendoza Market – Menu with Prices – 4740 E Chapman Ave, Orange

The boyfriend and I went for a walk this morning, by the end of the walk we we’re talking breakfast. We were feeling like breakfast burritos. As we were walking by we noticed their menu on the window. Being the foodie that I am, I had to stop and take a look. I read- BREAKFAST BURRITOS. Score! We ordered 2 chorizo and egg burritos which come with rice and beans inside. Hmm. Not the typical breakfast burrito I’m used to. I’m a little skeptical. I ordered mine with no beans, because I’m traumatized by whole pinto beans, boyfriend ordered with everything. As we were paying, the owner asked if we wanted chips with our order.. sure!!! We got home, and went to town. Wow what a great burrito.. had to taste boyfriend’s beans because I noticed they weren’t whole pintos. They we’re delicious. I think it’s a Peruvian bean the white kind. Made with what I assume was lard. Holy mole! I regret not getting beans. The salsas are delicious. Taste homemade, just like my mom makes them. The homemade chips are thick, perfectly salted and fried. I didn’t get a pic because we inhaled them LoL. I can’t wait to go back to try the picaditas, tacos and enchiladas suizas!!!!
