We ate here with a group of 8 guys during a week-long guyâ??s ski trip. We usually have several dinners out, and thought this would be nice. It is a beautiful setting and we got a nice large table right by the window. FYI, we brought in about 10 bottles of our own wine and ordered another two when we ran short – it was that kind of an evening. We shared a variety of appetizers, including fried oysters and two others (sorry, Iâ??ve now forgotten what they were). All were very good, but weâ??re relatively small portions.Just about everyone had a salad, which I thought were all underwhelming. Small and nothing very special. The good news was that everyone thoroughly enjoyed their entree. Most ordered a steak or prime rib. All were well cooked and sizable. I wasnâ??t very hungry and opted for the scallops on risotto. I thoroughly enjoyed my dish, including the broccoli on the side. Most had dessert and/or coffee. Again, very good desserts.Overall, a very enjoyable evening, happy we came, and a beautiful setting,I would say the service was on the weak side, although Iâ??m sure a group like ours is hard to care for. I am quite strict about proper table service at a full-service restaurant, and the things like refilling wine and water glasses, replenishing bread, etc…. are important details. There is room for improvement there.Still, we left happy and I would not hesitate to return.

NINETEEN at Awbrey Glen Menu with Prices 2500 Awbrey Glen Dr, Bend

I am giving two stars for the setting. I can’t give it any more (or less) because food and service were not to be, for us two seemingly invisible patrons, last night. I had wanted to try this place, as we live close by and I knew it was a beautiful setting, and we wanted to sit outside on this evening and have a glass of wine and some appetizers. All was on track at first (we were immediately seated at a nice table on the deck). It was not busy, at least on the deck (perhaps because it was a smoky evening). We waited patiently for 5-7 minutes for some attention, as in, from a waiter (at some point I began to note the time on my phone, as it was getting to be a lonnnnng wait for us increasingly thirsty and hungry people). We decided to give it 5-7 more minutes. After about 5 more minutes, a table of 6 was seated two tables away (the table between us was empty). They were immediately attended to by a cheerful waiter, taking their drink orders and chatting them up. We observed this for several minutes, and at that point we knew that this was not going to be the place for us on this night. We re-entered the dining room, walked through, and departed the same way we entered (i.e., the entrance/exit). No one said good-bye…no one cared (sob), we just must have been invisible. We made our way to another close-by establishment (Broken Top Bottle Shop), and were immediately attended to, had delicious food and drinks, and we felt entirely visible!

Mona Lisa Cucina – Menu with Prices – 9017 E Adams Ave, Huntington Beach

Our first visit was a Sunday evening, and the experience was great. Maybe 20 minute wait for a party of 4 at 6:30 (they don’t take reservations). Dalyan, the superstar, was our server. Everyone in the place seemed very nice and I’m sure we would be pleased with the service, regardless of who attended to our table. Our group ordered a pear, Gorgonzola & walnut pizza to start. Entrees were the Rigatoni Mona Lisa, fresh swordfish (a special), lobster ravioli, and some sort of pasta/chicken dish. Our shared desserts were a fruit tart and tiramisu, and there were several other great looking options. Food was extraordinarily good, as was the presentation and serving size (you will almost certainly be taking food home). The table next to us went with the 16 oz rib-eye (a special) and a shrimp/pasta dish. They also commented on the level of food perfection they were served and enjoyed. Wine list is very nice and their stemware ranges from adequate to great, depending on the quality of the wine being ordered. We took advantage of their fair corkage policy to bring some amazing level older wines. This is a great restaurant for a wine lover who owns some great wines and wants food worthy of opening them. I find it harder to bring wine to restaurants with extensive wine lists, and often restaurants with more limited lists don’t have the food quality and/or stemware to match special wines that you bring. Mona Lisa is the perfect match for this, I believe. How could this restaurant be better? If it took reservations, had 5 times the square feet, double the table spacing with fancy restaurant ambiance and elaborate decor. If it had all of that it would cost about twice as much for the food, and it would lose the quaintness and feeling like you have a secret restaurant just for the local community. We like it just the way it is and look forward to returning.

Volcanic Sushi + Sake Hunter’s Crossing – Menu with Prices – 5200 NW 43rd St Suite # 509, Gainesville

It was that time of the week again, time for a meeting of the minds of the crew at a local restaurant where we could talk about the things that had happened earlier in the… wait… what do you mean no one is going to be able to make it because they are playing some sort of game?! Well, the heck with that lot! I am still going to go out for dinner, and since none of them are going to be there with their avoidance of certain food items, I can go wherever I want! So I went to Volcanic Sushi, because I know I will be taken care of there! Got there and requested to be sat outside as it was a pleasant evening. One large table had been setup for service, apparently for a large group that had called in, but for the hour that I was there they never showed up. No problem for me, I was happy at my little table. I ordered some satay and their red curry, which were both excellent. The red curry did seem to be a bit reduced in volume from times I have had it before, but no matter… it was still filling. Always an enjoyable meal here!

Little 5 Corner Tavern Menu with Prices 1174 Euclid Avenue Southeast, Atlanta

Just what’d you expect from a bar in Little 5! My husband and I met up with some friends to catch one of the NBA final games here and had a good experience! Los Guidry’s Thoughts and Recommendations: – Plenty of drinks to choose from. They have a full bar, craft beers, wine, and anything else you might want. We ordered some red wine and it was so cheap- $6 a glass. – Food is decent! Our table got a variety of sandwiches and all were happy with their orders. My husband and I shared an order of smoked chicken wings- DELICIOUS! Came with fresh celery and ranch on the side. – Service was great! The waitress was so nice and attentive to our group, and we were a large group too. Brought out the check quickly when we asked for it and made no mistake despite how many other people were at and around our table. – No Parking. Unfortunately, like most businesses in this area Corner Tavern has no dedicated parking lot. It ‘s up to you to find street parking or pay for parking at a nearby lot. – Not a big deal for most people, but this place smelled like cigarettes. Yuck! Don’t wear nice clothes (ladies hope you don’t care about your hair) because you will leave smelling just like a cig. Overall, this is a decent bar in Little 5. Not my favorite in the area but it had all we needed to have a good time.

Our Place Restaurant – Menu with Prices – Cape Fear Community College, 411 N Front St, Wilmington

The food was served very well. Waiter was a jewel!! The soup was moderately warm, the cheese appetizer, could have had an addition of a tomatoes, the main course was barely warm for most of the selections. If it was not for the serving temperature our ratings would have been much higher, but the evening was very enjoyable. Elegantly prepared table setting added to our enjoyment. Dianne was a great hostess!

Muse Paintbar – Charlottesville – Menu with Prices – The Shops at Stonefield, 2050 Bond St #110, Charlottesville

I haven’t done a wine and paint bar in many years so my wife and I thought it would be fun to try one in the cville area. There is a lot to like about Muse and I recommend it on the whole, although it does have a few distinct minuses. First, Muse is very family friendly. On a Sunday evening there were adults and children alike in attendance and no issues at all. The instructor was very articulate, pleasant, and easy to follow as she directed us, via mic and on stage, how to mix the colors and use the various brushes. It was an enjoyable evening and we liked our final product: cute little owls hanging on a snowy tree! I also liked the presence of a bar and ability to order some snacks. Now for the negatives. Unlike other wine bars you cant bring your own wine so you have to buy from the bar. The other wine and paint bars appear to allow outside drinks (But there art that weekend was all boring scenic pics). The drinks are served in plastic cups which makes sense due to the prevalence of paint but its still a tad tacky. We ordered some chips and salsa and guac which came from pre-packaged containers–meh. I looked at the food menu and its pretty clear their apps are all just frozen snacks from trader joes down the street. I should know I bought a ton of them for our new years eve party. So that’s a little disappointing. Finally, they have a second artist/bar tender who is on standby to help. While he may have been more focused on helping the kids to my wife it seemed like he could have been more proactive. Again, we enjoyed our experience overall but with the paint and wine scene fairly competitive these days muse may not be the best choice for everyone. Its worth checking out if the selected art for the week strikes your fancy! One other big plus those is the abundance of parking right outside so there’s that!

Filomena’s Italian Kitchen & Market – Menu with Prices – 2400 Newport Blvd, Costa Mesa

I am so glad we decided to go here! There were 7 of us in our group and I made sure to call ahead to make a reservation- I would really recommend calling ahead because I didn’t realize how tiny the restaurant is! We had to wait a few minutes but they were able to seat us at a table all to ourselves which was nice (there were also shared table options available). The restaurant itself is super cute and from we had heard, it recently got a facelift. The ambiance was good and we made sure to call ahead to ask about bringing our own wine which they graciously allow 2 bottles per table with a $20 corkage fee per bottle. Moral of the story, we brought two bottles. We ordered 6 plates to share amongst the 7 of us. Let me tell you, there was not one thing that we ordered that any of us did not like! Everything was spectacular. What we ordered: 1) Four Cheese Ravioli & Meatball – this was my favorite dish and everyone else’s 1st or 2nd as well. 2) Papperdelle Bolognese – This was a close second for me to the above, and this was a lot of people favorite I was with…if you are in a smaller group and cant try everything I would say go with these two options and you wont be disappointed! 3) Pizza Bianca – This was a perfect balance to all of the things we ordered with red sauce. 4) Chicken Risotto Special – We had to order one of the three specials of the night and this one also did not disappoint. 5) Bowties Sausage & Spinach – of everything I got this one was still good but not as good as the others. If I hadn’t tried all the other things I probably would have ranted and raved at how amazing this was, but compared to everything else I would order the other things before I would order this again. Last but not least, our server, Manny, was so amazing!! He was really nice to our group and just an overall sweetheart and made our experience that much more enjoyable!

Chayz Lounge – Menu with Prices – 607 Meeting St, West Columbia

We came last evening for the first time traveling from Charlestin. SC to celebrate my husband’s Birthday. We loved the atmosphere. The entertainment for the evening was amazing! We loved the variety of songs and appreciated the band taking the time to acknowledge and sing Happy Birthday to all celebrating in the room. The food was tasty we enjoyed all of the selections chosen. The deviled eggs are especially wonderful. My only complaint was that the drinks were costly for the amount poured. I’m specifically speaking of the wine and single shots. We paid $18 dollars for 2 shots of “house” tequila and the shot glasses were short. I feel the same way about the wine portions. $ 8 for 4 oz. Of of wine, should be 4 ounces. I used to be a bartender and so I speak from experience. Drinks are expensive and if customers should get what they pay for. Over all, we had a wonderful evening and will surely be returning in the future.

Ziveli Winery – Menu with Prices – 5840 N Biola Ave, Fresno

I really enjoyed this place. Its definitely very cute, very homey, and the wines have such a unique taste. Id recommend this for a little date trip for someone to take a beautiful drive out and to enjoy a glass of wine. But first off: this place is about 7 miles east off 99 and shaw. It takes you through beautiful vineyards and the drive is spectacular. However, this place is kind of hard to get to if you dont know where you are going. It is kind of hidden when you turn off the main road of shaw and all. But its a hidden gem. The winery itself. I liked it. Its like a small little barn that is very tastefully decorated and reminds me of a rustic barn. It would be a great venue to host a wedding or something. But it just has that little magical feeling when you walk through it. When wine bar is pretty nice, a little small, but from being open for 3 years, its expected, and Im sure that it will only grow out from here on out. So the wines, I felt that they have a good wine selection. I tried the three rivers and it was good. Its dry and refreshing. I enjoyed the Syrah. To me, it felt that it had lots of body to it, and it was very savory. The wines are all very fragrant and it really has a good taste on your pallet. I am in no way shape or form a wine snob at all, but I can tell there is some thought and elegance to this wine from this winery. Kudos to this winery and I know I will stopping by this winery again.

Vintage Year – Menu with Prices – 405 Cloverdale Rd, Montgomery

Group of 12 for dinner with reservations seated without waiting was the beginning of a three-hour dinner experience. Some of us did had a salad before an entree, but none had dessert or after dinner drinks. Because the room was noisy, including a screaming one year old, it was difficult to hear anyone at our table other than those immediately adjacent to each of us. These factors combined made it seem like very slow service. \nOne table staff member did not know catch of the day. Waiter had to go .as the price. $30. Menu included Lamb Tbone but they had No Mint Jelly Today, not even Creme De Mint.\nAll food items ordered were very good to excellent, including Lamb Tbone without mint jelly. Service was slow. Had to ask for water refill. Room was too noisy. Decor was very nice. Prices were a little high, including a automatic 20 % added tip since we were a group of 6 or more. They delivered individual checks without us asking; this was nice. \nThis is probably one of the higher end medium priced restaurants in Montgomery. Unfortunately I would not endure another night eating there, even if someone else was paying. I paid for myself and the driver this time. \nLamb without mint jelly? At least two people in our group ordered it and liked it but could not believe they could not serve mint jelly.\nSee photos once posted.

Lakeside Cafe – Menu with Prices – 3700 S Susan St # 190, Santa Ana

The food has always been consistently good, but I write because of a reservation they messed up and did not address in a professional manner. I reserved a table for 4, in person, a week before my daughter’s birthday. I called a few hours before to confirm, and again stated it was my daughter’s birthday. We arrived on time to learn that someone had seated a group at our reserved table. They blamed a bus boy or server for doing the seating, but I didn’t care who made the mistake. 40 minutes went by and finally someone left and we were seated. (I think it’s fair to mention that we were offered a table in the back of the bar area…if you know the place it’s the second bar that feels like you’re in a school cafeteria not in the beautiful main part of the restaurant.) The manager, who I had spoken with several times to give him some tips from my days working in restaurants as to how to address the situation (he took none of my recommendations), never came to our table to see if we needed anything, nor to apoligize, nor to wish my daughter a happy birthday…he instead sent a waiter that was at best odd and indifferent. When I said it’s my daughter’s birthday he said “yes I know that”. Well we got a good laugh out of the rediculously slack service and server attitude…you might as well laugh. My friend who was with us thought they should at the least buy my daughter’s dinner…they sent a few free desserts instead as they never asked what we thought would be fair compensation for the wait. Lakeside has gone from being tops in my book, and I’ve introduced so many friends to this restuaruant, to being one that I won’t be patronizing on my own accord any longer.

Langside Grocery – Menu with Prices – 164 Langside St, Winnipeg

Beautiful cocktail/wine bar on West Broadway on Langside. You really do feel like you’re in another city when you’re in the bar. There’s no signage but the bar is amongst a residential area and stands out at night with its soft warm glow within an unmarked building. There’s wine, cocktails and a small menu of small plates. It’s reminiscent of the Forth with a very cool vibe. Lots of industry people are part of this place. Most cocktails are around $10-$13. I had the Role Model $13 – hennessey, cognoac, aperol, St. Germain, citric acid, lemon bitters, cava, grapefruit zest – delicious. We also enjoyed a duck confit flatbread. It’s open Tues-Sunday 4 pm-Midnight. It was packed last month when we dropped around 10 pm on a Saturday evening. Service is very friendly and cocktails were delicious. Beautiful decor inside.
