Great location with enough variety of items. Very Convenient store, and has good parking space. Hours are great too. The owners are wonderful and friendly. Always have a smile on their face and every time great clients with Hello how are you? Last night I was there approx. 7-730pm picking up a few items & groceries. I bumped into an old friend right as I was leaving and exiting the store. I stopped chatted with my old friend with my hands full of grocery bags… Later than night I went to Walgreens to do my final weekend shopping when I came to pull out my ATM debit card I always use and I didn’t have it in my little ATM wallet purse. After going crazy pulling out my whole hand bag and going back to all locations looking through the parking lot and the front door to the stores, I decided to call Broadway Mart & Deli to check with them if I had left it there on the counter or dropped it in the store or outside… As soon as I said good morning it’s Anita from last night she said ‘you know what a customer found your ATM card outside our store and I remember I asked your name is Anita when I looked at your ATM card and I remembered it was yours’…. I was so thankful for her honesty and also to the customer who found it. Thank you so much. I’m not just giving 5 star review for last nights incident but in general this store is great and I totally recommend it to all people.

Seamart Deli – Menu with Prices – 298 W Bay Ave, Norfolk

If you were looking for health food, skip see Mart and deli and go to a different place. If you want an Italian sub that is on par with anything from the Northeast. Go to the sea mart deli and take my advice to pick up a combo meal preferably the soprano made all the way with fries and a soft drink all for under $7.50. This place is run by a bunch of guys were making a go of it as a small business and their subs are frankly Way better than anything you’ll find and a franchise sandwich place. Do not go to Subway or anything of the equivalent, how about small business and go to a place like the sea mart. For you dainty folks out there who may be a little intimidated by the rough exterior, take note I have been to this place at least 20 times, and The folks there are nothing but nice. Both the owners of the small convenience store and the guys working the sandwich place are always cordial and provide us a professional service sohelp them out and buy a sandwich. But I would recommend right after either take a nap or work out. Because the sandwiches are so good they are evil thank you

Fair Deli Mart – Menu with Prices – 757 State Fair Blvd, Syracuse

Fair Deli Mart has the best selection of hot and cold foods and their specials are amazing. Every day they have a few specials of the day. We have ordered for lunch for work and had them deliver, always on time. I may get food to go on my way home and even at 5 p.m. they have a great selection for dinner as well. Also, their craft beer and cider selection is top notch for a small place. Prices are very good and consistent. Owners Murad and Ann Marie are the best people, very friendly and accommodating always. You won’t go wrong getting anything at Fair Deli Mart, Lakeland, NY

Naughty Pig – Menu with Prices – 28780 Old Town Front St, Temecula

I put a premium on customer service, unfortunately Naughty Pig didn’t put the premium on customer service today. I dropped in to buy some sausage, it had been about two months since my last visit. I like their sausages, they are pretty good…so good I have taken them with me when family comes to visit in other parts of California. Or gone out of my way to go buy sausages when an unexpected visitor dropped by for dinner. Today I stopped in at 11 AM and the store had one other customer who was being helped by a butcher. There were 6-7 other store employees. They greeted me as I came in…but then as I stood for five minutes at the meat counter looking, no one said “boo” to me. So after thinking about it, and looking at the 6-7 employees in the store, I figured they have enough business, I’ll take mine elsewhere. The sausages are good, I will get over this experience in a month or two, but you lost my business today and Memorial Day.

Ninth Square Market – Menu with Prices – 72 S Orange St, New Haven

Totally unassuming little mini-mart on Orange St. They have a deli counter. I’ve wandered in here for lunch before, but their $10 credit card minimum has sent me packing. Today… i was carrying cash. $7.16 later i walked out with a small bag of Utz Chips, a can of arizona iced tea, and a grilled chipotle chicken sandwich fit for a king. The sandwich was on a grilled hard roll, slathered with chipotle mayo. When he put it on, he used a big spoon and i thought it was gonna be WAY too much, but it was just right, and you could see the big chunks of fresh chipotle peppers. The chicken wasn’t a whole breast, it was shaved on the meat slicer, so each bite was perfectly even. The lettuce and tomato held onto a seasoning blend he sprinkled on, which complimented the sandwich nicely. I couldnt’ understand a word of the language this guy was speaking (i think it was Lebanese), but he sure as hell knows how to make a good sandwich…

Sam’s Club Bakery – Menu with Prices – 7200 Peach St, Erie

Totally unhelpful and horrible customer service. Only 2 regular check out cashiers were open with lines of 10 carts or more each. Manager would not open more check out lines. There were 8 self checkout lines available but none of those take cash, only card, and guess what? I only had cash. Totally useless to me. So I decide to use the handy-dandy Sam’s Club app, Scan & Go (even though I don’t have my credit card with me, the app has it saved) ……. this the most useless app on the face of this earth!!! Of all the times I’ve tried to used it, it maybe worked only 2% of the time! FUCKING FIX THIS USELESS APP!! PLEASE!! So it takes me about 20 minutes to scan 88 items totaling over $1,000 and then the stupid app hangs and says “Something went wrong”!!!!! NO SHIT something went wrong! Sam’s Club is still in business, that’s what went wrong!! Why can’t we have a Costco instead? So then I had still had to wait in the 10 plus cart line to check out! The whole checkout ordeal took over 40 minutes! Total bullshit! I think I will be driving 2 hours to Ohio to shop at their Costco from now on. I’m done with Sam’s Club, they are insufferable!

Red Sand Market & Deli – Menu with Prices – 207 W Anapamu St, Santa Barbara

A year or so ago the market at this location (Good Karma Market at that time) was taken over by the owner of Presidio Market. It reopened with a much expanded set of goods on offer, but it was still just basically a mini-mart. But now it has been renamed Red Sand Market and Deli, and, as the name implies, there is now a deli. The menu offers hamburgers, hot dogs, sandwiches, and salads. I also saw a couple pots with soup-type stuff. Of course there is still the whole rest of the mini-mart for drinks, snacks, etc. When I saw the deli was open, I had to quickly assess the situation, both because it’s right across the street from my apartment and because I’m a devotee of the Presidio deli. I got a hamburger. I was pleased. The burger is a step up from a fast-food burger. It’s not really what you’d call a “gourmet” burger like you’d get in a sit-down restaurant, but it’s a quick and quality burger. It’s larger than what you’d get at a place like The Habit, and Red Sand doesn’t skimp on the fixin’s. Costs $5. Right now there’s no place to sit or anything because it’s still just set up like a mini mart, so all orders are “to go”, but the fellow working the cash register said that soon they will have a couple tables inside and out. This isn’t a place you’d drive across town for, but if you’re downtown, it’s worth a try. It’s near to the art museum, Granada, library, etc. Since I live in the neighborhood, I will probably be back.

Penguin Foods – Menu with Prices – 1614 Christina St, Rockford

This place has been a Rockford staple forever, and for good reason. They have pork, beef, and sampler ‘boxes’ where you can stock up the freezer and save up to 15-20% or more vs a grocery store, and the quality is always first-rate. I also love the Polish deli meats and the homemade jerky! Also, while you are at the counter, notice the ANTIQUE cooler door and the conveyor that they use to roll in the hanging meats. It’s a neat store that reminds me of when I was a little kid. You don’t find neat little details like that large chain supermarkets or the grocery aisles of Wal-Mart or Target. Penguin comes with my highest recommendation.

Honey Dew Donuts – Menu with Prices – 1181 W Boylston St, Worcester

This location is found inside an Xtra Mart store. Nice sized counter in the back of the store. Has a drive thru as well. Relatively new shop. Coffee was great but wish the donut selection was a bit more extensive. They look like they have room, and some of the more common donuts were out by 10AM

Gastronome European Grocery and Deli – Menu with Prices – 2707 NE 114th Ave, Vancouver

Great find! If you are looking for some European foodstuffs, this is a good place to check out. Not a huge store but I’d say medium-sized, well organized and clean. The lady working there was so very friendly and helpful to the customers coming through. They had a good variety of both canned & dry goods, snacks, candy, teas/beverages along with a small refrigerated section with some cold/dairy items. They also have a deli counter with meats/sausages sold by the pound and freshly baked breads, beautiful cakes and some other fresh baked food items (I didn’t see a sign on them behind the counter but there appeared to be some kind of piroshki which is a dough stuffed with a variety of fillings). The prices were comparable to other European markets in the area. There also seems to be a little coffee shop at the rear of the store but I’m not sure if the cashier for the market makes the coffee as well or how that works. No one was in the coffee shop area when we were in the store.

Kroger Bakery – Menu with Prices – Macon

After years of decreasing quality of experience at a local Kroger, I was finally forced to walk out today, leaving a full cart order to cancel. I have come to expect a lack of staffed cashier lines (reminiscent of lesser grocery opportunities in town), and frequently out-of-inventory items (especially items which you have tempted me to purchase with coupons). However, today I struggled to even obtain service. After doing my best to complete my shopping list, again with missing inventory items, I walked to the deli for chicken. I am the only customer at the deli area (including sandwiches, salads, desserts, etc.). There were four workers doing things behind the counter. After a few moments, one offered that he would be with me in a minute. I walked away after 2 minutes of watching the 4 people do other tasks. I know everyone is busy, I get busy at work myself, but that behavior is completely unacceptable on my team. After giving up on getting chicken for dinner I went to check out. Aside from th10-15 items or less lane, only one cashier lane was lit, and it had 3 full waiting buggies. I selected self-checkout. I zipped through all of my items (buggy full, total was about $140). The last thing I had was five (5) twelve (12) packs of Power-aid. I had a rain check for these because, well, you know. Luckily there were 5 left in the store…exactly 5. I spent the next 10+ minutes working with the lady to ring up those and handle the price override. The order had to be transferred to her station. When she attempted to scan my coupons afterwards, her machine would not work. She called to another line for assistance and that lady came down after finishing up her existing customer. She verified the machine scanner was not working and moved my order to her station. As I got over there, she was scanning my coupons and I attempted to make sense of the Power-aid entries—-about 32-34 lines showing Power-aid (original price, discount, remove original price, add back discount, price override). It seemed a few entries had been double voided and perhaps some added incorrectly. I spent some time trying to make sense of that from the receipt and it seemed everyone around (3 workers at this time) might be getting irritated. I was being informed “yes, there it is, you had 6 right, you see the…”, I said no, I had 5. Then I realize I have been in checkout, without my chicken dinner, for over 20 minutes. It had started heavily raining in the last 3 minutes. Now I would need to walk out in the monsoon, without my chicken dinner, having my frozen items now defrosting for over 20 minutes before even making it to the car, and wondering if I had overpaid for my Power-aid….of course that assumed I could complete the purchase in a timely fashion. It was here I gave up and asked to just void the sale and I wanted to speak to a store manager. It went downhill from that point. I dropped by customer service and asked if the store manager was available. The lady did ask if she could help me, but I said no, I needed to complain. After a bit a person (Jamie Parks) did come down to talk. I explained all of the issues to him. At that point I suggested I would like to just file a complaint with the regional/district manager—I felt it important. Jamie said that the store manager was in and I could speak to him. Then it hit me, I had already asked for the store manager, yet here I was talking to Jamie. Obviously my request was about as useful as my trying to obtain service at the deli. Here I figured I would never get the contact for the regional/district manager and Jamie did not disappoint. All I was able to obtain is that I could call the Kroger on Hartley Bridge and that is where I would find that person. Really Kroger? You can do better than this…..

Old Fashion Deli – Menu with Prices – 1225 N Pacific Ave A, Glendale

After being lured in by signs advertising fresh deli sandwiches, with graphic displays of sandwiches piled high with meat, cheese and produce adorning the shop, I walked in, hungry. I stared down an amazing-looking deli case full of delicious-looking mortadella, ham, salami and cheeses, and more. The sandwich prices ranged from $6-8. Worked for me. I asked the person behind the deli counter if the deli was still open. “Yes,” came the answer, quickly. I politely announced my intention to order two sandwiches to go. Then, a look of fear came over the young woman behind the counter. She said that she could not make any sandwiches because she was the only one there. At that exact moment, another person appeared behind the deli counter, this one a man. Now, both people explain that they cannot make sandwiches because the woman is “by herself”. There was only one other customer in the store, who appeared to need no assistance at the moment. Either I’m crazy, and imagining people, or I unwittingly stumbled into some kind of grey or black market enterprise deal going down, or these two fully grown human adults who appeared to have all of their basic mental and physical faculties at their disposal could not make even one sandwich using the fully stocked and equipped deli that they were standing in. Was it something I said?

Richmond Bagel Deli – Menu with Prices – 53 Richmond Hill Rd, Staten Island

I was researching the best spot and noticed the reviews for this place. I wanted to share my story. I have been boycotting this place since 2006 when my son, who was six at the time, and I went to buy bagels. A young teen black girl was in front of us at the counter and was trying to buy a metro card. The clerk told her he only had the larger denominations. She asked again, as teens might do, so you don’t have the $5 card? The guy behind the counter yelled, no! Get out! The poor girl walked out of there, I’m sure humiliated and he had the nerve to look at me and ask, Are all black people stupid? My husband is black. I didn’t say a word to this fool. And so, I put my items down and walked out of the store with nothing and told my son we will never buy anything from that store again. When I put my son in the car, the first thing he asked me was, was he talking about dad. No one needs that kind of treatment.
